This is our second purchase with Volvo Cars Midlothian and we couldnt be happier. Alan Ells and Josh Griff provided us with a professional, personal, and relaxed experience. We had a budget and they worked hard to stay within it. This is not your typical car buying experience and we highly recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a new/used vehicle. Mike Gordon also did a great job and provided us with great service.

Bought a Van from them and had a great experience. Dealt with 3 people while there and all were great to work with. Sales manager greated us at the door and had a salesperson work with us, salesperson was attentive but not pushy answering the questions we had, set us up for a test drive, setting up to assess our trade in. The finance guy was great too, explaining the options we had, even though we were paying cash for the difference it was great to have our options explained. Overall a great buying experience.

Hi Chris (salesman), I appreciate your approach! Want to thank you for being patient and kind. Your manager (Chris) came across as rude, disrespectful and loud not only to us but to you in overriding how you were working it out. He couldve said the same thing in much respectful manner. If you were new, he needed to train you and give you a chance to start and end with customers. He barged in, collected the papers on the desk, made loud statements that all heard and kept being loud as we were walking out and was yelling in the parking lot too. My husband kept saying that this was not the way to deal with customers and he kept sarcastically throwing offer across the lot. This is not the way to deal with the customer. He should have been sorry that we were patient while you were retrieving information from him.Really speaking of all the 3 cars we saw that day, We liked your Prius the best, both interior and exterior. We too needed a chance to see what else was out there. I think we have a right to do so. We made a decision that same afternoon.Nothing against you Chris (salesman), but Volvo Midlothian just lost a customer. I wish you could take up this text to other managers and ensure that some other customers dont encounter this issue and not feel discriminated against.We wish you all the best Chris! Myself and my wife visited to get a used car and completed test drive in Volvo midlothian. sales manager Chris assigned responsibility to salesman Chris. He was quite humble and clearing our questions and doubts in consultation with finance and sales manager. When we asked for round figure $ 13500, sales man approached sales manager Chris, he came and talked to us very insulting way...and we just came out. Then he came out and offered $13000/-...it was so humiliating and insulting. We are from another country, we hope nobody should get such an insult. If cctv is there you can watch how we both left...

I purchased a 2017 Volvo S60 Inscription on Sat 10/10/20. There were some warning messages on the dash display that needed to be addressed so I left the car there since the technicians don’t work on weekends. That is what your dealership owed me as part of agreement to purchase the car.I got a call Monday 10/12 around 3 from the shop saying the car was ready for pick up but they close at 5:30pm. I wasn’t going to pick it up because I couldn’t make it there before 5:30. Than I got a call from the guy who sold me the car around 6:30 saying the car is ready that he will be there till little after 7pm. So I decided to head to get the car. I got the key and went to check out the car. Started the car and there is that Alarm System Malfunction warning message again that was supposed to be fixed. How do they work on the car, drive it up to the lot and not know it’s not fixed. As soon as you start the car that message pops up. Waste of my time to go there only to still not have my car. I am hoping that everyone there will be honest about fixing that issue permanently and not give it some short cut fix just to get the car out of the lot.Everything has been an ok experience so far up to this point.Also, the guy who sold me the car is a very nice and personable guy but how does he not know much about the cars he is selling?? I knew so much more about the car than he did. Every question I had, he had no answers. They should be educated and knowledgeable about the product they are selling.It is really making me question if I’ve made a right decision buying my first ever Volvo from your dealership. Hopefully I can get this car sometime this week and hope and pray that nothing else is wrong with the car. If it has anymore issues anytime soon after I get the car, I will never buy anything from this dealer or any Volvo in my lifetime nor would I ever recommend it to anyone.Hopefully everything will work out and I can update this post to something better.

I have to say this is how a dealer visit should be. Every service has been top notch. They listen to me and take care of the issue. I worked for a rental car company for 6 years in the past and worked with a lot of dealers and repair shops with clients and have to say Im impressed with these guys. Purchased a car 12/9/2020. After doing the paperwork I was told that the car would not be ready till Thursday because they were putting new tires, brakes, alignment and rotors on the car and parts were not available. Well the car wasnt ready on Thursday. They delivered the car to my home late Friday afternoon. Come to find out they only replaced the 2 front tires and the alignment was not correct. 2 days later the check engine light came on, right front tire began losing air. Took it to chevy dealer to find out the c. Converters were going bad and throwing a code. The warranty I purchased didnt cover c. Converters. Took the car to tire shop to find out what was wrong with the tire because the tires were new. I contacted the dealer and they did order me a new rim. This is all a short version as to how horrible the buying experience was. I will say the finance manager (C. Johnson) did work hard to get me a good finance rate.

The Midlothian location is professional and inviting. I leave feeling valued, appreciated, and with a thorough understanding of the services performed on my vehicle.. As uncomfortable as this may be to read today with all that going on around us, as an African American woman the atmosphere at the other location is cold, unwelcoming, and condescending, which is why I have chose to bring vehicle back to Midlothian though it was purchased at West Broad.Did I mention youre greeted with a warm smile every time you visit? The only thing I’d like to see them improve upon is the service waiting area. It is small and does not have the goodies like West Broad (Cold Water, coffee)

VERY dissatisfied with our experience. The serpentine belt broke on our 2012 Volvo S60 at 75k mi. Hit the timing belt & blew up the engine. Despite the fact that the serpentine belt should have been good up until 100k mi., Volvo would not put replace the engine on their dime. We even contacted VCNA & filed a claim with their goodwill program with no resolve. Volvo is not the company it used to be!BUYER BEWARE!!

Excellent sales and service. Wally sold me a nice used Jeep GrandCherokee Limited! Mark, the service manager, was super helpful as a problem, not covered by warranty, was discovered 3 weeks after the purchase. Mark actually arranged to have the Jeep taken to Haley Jeep at the Airport. Haley Jeep was also fantastic to work with. They got the Jeep fixed promptly and always communicated with me. Im sold on Haley as they do care about making the customers happy!

My sales rep, Alan, was incredibly accomodating nd a very nice and trustworthy person to work with. I saw a truck online that I was interested in but I live 2 hours away. I emailed back and forth with a manager and set an appointment for a Saturday at 11am. A salesman called to confirm the appointment on Saturday morning and I told him Id be there closer to 11:30. When I got there at 11:25 I was told oh sorry someone just test drove the truck. If they dont buy it you can test drive it. So I set an appointment, confirmed it, and was told that someone drove it 10 minutes earlier than I got there after driving 2 hours. Inconsiderate and unprofessional.

My sales advisors name is Jeff McAllister. Even though the XC90 on my wish list was not in stock at the Midlothian location, Jeff was very attentive and focused on finding the model with all the features (bells & whistles) I wanted. He stayed in communication with me, answered any and all questions I had during the process and also arranged for me to do an overnight test drive with a similar model. And when my vehicle was ready for me to take delivery, he patiently took the time to explain its features, offered to even go over the features again with me and my husband (since he wasnt there at the dealership with me that evening). When I saw my XC90 T6 Inscription for the 1st time, I fell in love with it and Im so very thankful that I had such a knowledgeable and helpful sales advisor as Jeff to assist me with my purchase!!!

Even though it is much closer to go to Mooers on broad Street I choose to drive further to see Mark Mitterer at Midlothian. My experience with him has always been great. He is very welcoming and helpful. My experience on broad Street have sometimes been less than satisfactory. Never the case with Midlothian. I will continue to drive further to go to Midlothian.

I have been coming to Haley Volvo for service for almost 10 years. It started with a used cross country that I had bought used. When I saw how wonderful this service department is, I started bringing my dodge ram, too, because I can trust these guys. Two years ago, the cross country started using oil and it was time to make a decision, but not a good moment. Mike Heffinger, who knows me and saw that I was pretty upset, walked me out on the lot and showed me a used S60 that was for sale. I didnt even bother to test drive it. It is the perfect car. That is what happens when the service department treats customers well: you get return business and when the time comes, they can even sell a replacement car to a woman who trusts them.

I am caught in between two worlds with this review. On one end, Mike Crawley my salesman, was remarkable. He attended to my every question and really sold the vehicle. However, my issue came with management. I feel like I was lied to by them. I was given paperwork stating one single issue with the car I was looking at, however, when I took the vehicle to a mechanic he showed me half a dozen more issues that were obvious to those who had an eye to look for it. So either the dealership had improper mechanics working for them or the managers was made aware of it and just did not care to share with me those issues. Again, Mike was phenomenal and I would highly recommend him but trust for yourself those who are all about just selling the vehicle. Mike cares just as much about the person as he does the sale. To me, thats real business.

45 days ago I purchased a Tahoe 2010 from Volvo. Johanna, Lavar and Mike helped me choose the perfect vehicle. They made sure I had the best interest rate. All of them was very kind and went above and beyond the call of duty. Thank you. On 1/29/18 my truck had a flat tire around 8pm..closing time for Volvo. My husband called there and spoke with Pat Mimaano sales manager for help..with no problems him and another gentleman came out and helped and they didnt have to. Today, Mike Heffinger and Tony Sargent went above and beyond the call to help me find an earring that fell below the passenger seat. Tony removed the seat and he and Mike searched high and low and found it. Then, they insisted that my happiness was all the compensation they would take. I am so grateful!

Service dept failed me. Took our XC60 there for an issue with the AC and also asked why one key doesnt automatically unlock the doors or allow you to start the car while leaving the key in your pocket.They suggested a $1300 ac compressor replacement and a new $300 key.I decided to post both issues on an online internet forum and got two recommendations.AC- They said its a very common problem to have a defective ac control valve. Part number 31436166 and was around $125. I bought the part at the other Volvo dealer in the west end. A new compressor comes with the part too so replacing the compressor likely would have fixed my issue but Im not made of money. The parts counter guy agreed that they sell a ton of these valves and its a common failure. Had an independent evac the ac. i replaced the control valve and then they recharged the AC. Low and behold, AC been working fine every since!Key- i was suggested to replace the two batteries in the key. It didnt seem right to me since the remote control functions in the key worked fine. But i took the cover off the key and found that there were two batteries but the little flap that goes between them to separate the two circuits wasnt in between the batteries like it should be. I rearranged it and tested the key and it now worked like it should. Didnt need to replace anything at all.If there is a common failure point, Shouldnt that be on the techs radar as a potential area to look at? The key issue i think was just lazy. Took 3 minutes to open it up and find the issue.

Not interested in resolving warranty or service issues unless you purchased your vehicle . Now live in Richmond and my purchase history includes 3 Volvos from prior residence in S.C. Taking my car back to Rick Hendrick in Charleston this Friday for 2 warranty repairs and 1 non-warranty repair for $100.00 less than quoted for the same repair here. Guarantee if I purchase another Volvo it wont be from here and I wouldnt recommend them to others. I took my mother to Rick Hendrick last year for her first Volvo purchase. Guess that have no clue that service! sells cars. Very disappointed
