After a long search for a car for my wife, I stumbled upon SMG and was impressed with their cars. They seem to care about their product and are eager to help their customers. The same week I bought my wifes 2016 Acura from here, my dad decided to also buy a car off their lot. I will definitely shop here again in the future!

Purchased an Acura TL here 3 or 4 years ago. Price was fair for the condition of the vehicle and there was no haggling or over selling. I would purchase another vehicle from this dealer again without hesitation.

Lamar was extremely knowledgeable and motivated, without any high pressure sales at all. Their prices are fair, clearly disclosed up front, and the only fee is a $299 processing fee, rather than their competitors laundry lists of extra fees. They also sincerely care about the appearance of their cars, and it shows! Further, their online inventory, while small, was accurate, which was another welcome surprise, after several days off visiting places that didnt have the specific cars they were advertising. This possibly the best used car buying experience I have ever had.

At first, I thought I was going to rate SMG Imports with a rave review for a great car buying experience and a top quality used car. Then we had a little trouble with titling that I think should be mentioned. If you are accustomed to dealing with used car dealers, you may find the titling issue to be perfectly typical and not a problem at all.The purchasing experience at SMG Imports was very pleasant. These guys are trying to run a quality business. The dealers are not high pressure at all. There is nothing creepy about dealing with them, and the drive out to Powhatan is worth it if they have a car you like. SMG tries to stock its lot as much as possible with one owner Virginia cars. Everything on their small lot is in fabulous condition and has been cleaned up nicely. Really, some of the cars look new! I have seen no other used lot that compares. They claim they have given every car a thorough inspection, making repairs where needed. The purchasing transaction itself was the easiest I have ever made with a dealer. I wrote a check, signed a couple of papers, and drove off with the car.Thats where I probably made a mistake. The dealer said he would send the title as soon as our check cleared. This implied that he actually had the title in his possession, and we felt that one implication was less than honest. After 8 days, I called to see if the title had been lost in the mail. It turned out he did not have the title yet when he sold us the car. The story is that he was told that the title was on its way to him when in fact, it was not. I like to think the dealer was being honest with me at this point, in which case, the titling problem was out of his hands. Eventually, the dealer went out of his way to get the title to us before our temporary tags ran out although without much time to spare. I am told it is normal to sell a car this way and that sometimes it takes even longer to get a title, so this may not be a big deal at all. In the future, I will ask to see the clean title before I even test drive a car.In the end, everything seems to be ok, and I would certainly give SMG Imports another try when we purchase our next used car. The car is very nice and has offered no troubling surprises after a month of driving it. Aside from the titling issue, the experience with the dealers was a very good one, and I would recommend driving out to check out their inventory if you are in the market for a nice used car.

Very pleased with the Ford Explorer purchased from here a couple years back. Its always risky and scary busy a used vehicle, but it worked out very well.

Really appreciate being able to FaceTime to see the truck before making a long drive to come see it
