Dealers beware!!! Stay clear of this auction house. I purchased a vehicle that they facilitated through their auction. I requested a Post sale inspection but they refused and claimed that I was covered under the OVE 10 day arbitration policy. End of the day, the vehicle needed a new radiator due to seepage and leaks as well as previous structural damage with frame having been repaired before. Also, additional bent pillar. I spoke to several people in management and they claimed that they followed the rules. I work with 10 other dealers and I have been in this business for 20 years. Never has this been done to me. I will do everything in my power to tell everyone to stay clear of this clown show of an auction!

Dealers buying on OVE should know Richmond does not enforce an UNBUY fee to selling dealers in the event of an UNBUY. Terrible policy!

Completely misrepresented an online vehicle with intentionally vague disclosures. $4500 vehicle needs $4000+ motor replacement that somehow wasn’t disclosed on the main page under “announcements” & vehicle was listed “yes” as drivable. Motor issue was mentioned on page 12 of the Condition report after body scratches & wheel curb rash! Turns out vehicle was a Deal Shield buy back that they decided to pawn off on unsuspecting out of state online buyer. Auction obviously was complicit in that they knew it was a bad car and even had the nerve to bump our offer. Digital Sales Manager Scott did offer to buy me a pizza and a beer if I’m ever in Richmond. What an unprofessional and unethical cyber experience!

Purchased a 2020 Ford Escape. Hit the buy now button on aThursday morning, got a call later Friday afternoon saying listing dealer retailed the unit. Auto auction did not stand behind arbitration policy. Nonsense. Will not view vehicles listed by these people again.

I wished I lived closer to Richmond Auto Auction.Too many forms to fill out as a buyer/reseller.Many thanks to: Tiffanie James, she was very nice to try and help me.In Washington State if I sell over 5 vehicles I would need a business license but under 5, I do not need a license and I would like to purchase newerand nicer cars and trucks like I have seen online here

Not bad, except that the guy that jump started our 12 volt system with 24 volts fried the AC for the 9 hour drive home. Found out later the headlight switch too.

First time going to an auction and it was extremely exciting. The atmosphere was amazing and the staff was extremely awesome and very helpful. I expected to piss people off because I didnt know what I was doing but they helped me a lot and I got an awesome deal on a Tahoe. Make sure you come the day before, research the cars your interested in and ask questions.

Very honest loyal men. I had Zero issues with them. I’d been for years and have never had any issues. My son and wife bring their vehicles here as well.

It’s an auction. Do your research. Come on Thursday between 12 pm and 5 pm to check the cars visually and start them to see what may be wrong with them. Compare notes to the listed issues. Doesn’t hurt to have a mechanic as a friend come with. As with all auctions, you, the bidder/buyer are responsible for understanding what you are buying. I like this place, used to come here with my dad back in the day. Great staff, clean location with lots of parking, best part is online bidding.

If you a dealer considering hooking up on their online program called CAR RAC do yourself a favor and stay away. We have sold some cars on this program but their is not anything fair or ethical about any of it for us. we have had several problems including another dealer buying a car from us and then taking it several states away only to decide he didnt want it and had someone brand the car as structural damage. The car was returned and we had it looked at for the second time in our shop and a local body shop only to find zero damage. The next few cars we sold it took anywhere from 8-14 days to get our money and that was after calling and calling into the office and the so called Manager for this program. We waited for over 10 days on one of which they were not doing anything to collect from the buying dealer. Management does not care about you getting your money or your time. Stay Away!

I bought a car and it was on green light means warranty for the same day, after checking the car a major issue in the engine and there mechanic said its nothing and he clear the codes which no good mechanic clear codes from car if he didnt make any repairs, so after I took the car out of the auction the check engine showed on again when I get back the second day they said they cant help me.... long story short if you to buy junk cars they have good variety

They are nice, friendly and helpful. The major issue that I have is their fees for public vs. dealer. I found out that the dealers fees are half of what they charge the public and the maximum the dealers get charged is $600. Where the public is charged $1150 up to twenty thousand dollars plus $95 processing fee and an additional 5% over twenty thousand dollars. I would certainly buy more cars from them if their fees werent tilted unfairly towards the dealers and hence why I give them one star.

I hated the auctions before. I didnt trust them until i met my friend, who told me about Repokar car auction....i tried to access that auction and understood that there is something cool. now i have my own business, i buy cheap cars from auctions, repair them and make them in good condition and sale them also on auctions as Richmond Auto Auction ...it increases my incoming.Thank you guys!

Do the low price vehicles run good?

Brought my Volvo s80 from here. 100% recommend. When I got my Volvo it did have issues like the suspension needed to be fixed. Overall price I spent repairing the vehicle and purchasing was little over 1600. My Volvo is still running with 300,000 no issues. The car came with new tires! And a one owner carfax!

This place is infested with thieves and dishonest people. They went thru my car and took over $5000 worth on items. Nobody can find it and theyre giving me the run around about replacing my items which all cant be. My rings were irreplaceable. Never do business with these people.

Decent vehicles that have passed inspection. Lots to choose from. Prices vary during tax season.

Very friendly staff and you can look at vehicles a DaY prior on (Thurs) from noon to 4:00 PM. Nice selection of late model cars, trucks and SUVs. They also have commercial vehicles and heavy duty equipment.

They cater to dealers and exploit the public. Their policies, many of which are ethically and legally questionable, are self serving and unfair. Go to the lemon dealers; dont go there. You never know who you are dealing with until there is a problem; I sure found out.

Interesting to view cars & attend auctions. Always can be an overbidder in crowd. Or some1 coming in late & pushing their way thru bidders. Prices sometimes good or bad. Small restaurant indoor. Some info missing from website - give past sales prices for short period of time & no info on government sales via federal GSA. Why are they omitted?
