I had an issue with my check engine light. Pearson was efficient in diagnosing the problem…getting the part from out of state…and effecting repairs in a timely manner. The repair cost was reasonable. My Service Advisor, Pam, was extremely helpful in managing my vehicle and keeping me abreast of the repair progress.If I could list one complaint not related to the actual repair, I think Pearson needs to better manage their Service Department in scheduling appointments. I don’t think you should have to wait over a week to schedule an appointment as I did. The first words out of their mouth is “Do you have an appointment?” or “You need an appointment to bring in your vehicle”. So, if your vehicle isn’t running and you need to leave vehicle there, it will sit for a week or so until they can “squeeze you in.”

I called to have a tire looked at since it was reading low, but as soon as I got on the line the service dept is telling what they cant do. I hadnt even explained what I needed and Im being told that they cant help me. 2-3 wait for an appointment? For a tire? Just dont answer the phone then. Then I was told that they could put air in the tire but thats it. So... you gonna put air in a tire that you dont know if has a hole or leak and let the customer go in a car that might not be safe to drive? Noted and will be letting the home office of Jeep know this as well.Im from out of town so I dont know the area or where to go so I call the local dealership of the car I own for help and this is the service and treatment I received.

I dropped my Jeep Wrangler off at 8am Monday morning with the knowledge that there were cars to be seen ahead of me. My Jeep was ready by 9:30am Tuesday, fixed and ready to go. Tim kept me updated regularly by calling me and he did a great job explaining what was wrong and what it needed. They had the part in stock so that made it go faster. I’ll definitely bring her back if needed.

I’ve been servicing my vehicle here for over a year now with no issues. I basically just needed somewhere convenient and reasonably priced. These days if you have to be inconvenienced by a car you can quickly find another option. The things that work for me are the drop off/key box, always sticking to schedule, reasonable prices with no sales tactics to get you to change things that aren’t necessary. I’d certainly recommend the oil change plan if it’s still being offered. So far so good for me.

My vehicle was in their hands for 4-days. After getting a ride to the dealership and driving off, the same warning indicator light came on. I was told to bring it back when convenient, they will give me a loaner, and try again. I don’t live close by so although that’s a nice offer it’s still inconvenient for me. I have other great experiences with this team but I’m disappointed that during the first attempt they didn’t pay closer attention to my vehicle to get the job done right.

EDIT 10/21/21:While the oil change crew might have been satisfactory, the service writer who lied to me, the service manager who called and lambasted me because I left a bad survey, and the general manager who had trouble following thru with his promises constitutes my change to a 1 star review rating.I have expressed a sincere concern regarding my vehicle that has rendered it unsafe for me and my family. After the service writer blatantly and without hesitation lied to me, I had a face to face discussion with the general manager, Jason. After providing numerous excuses why safety concerns could not be adequately addressed by his technicians (employee shortages, over-worked techs, ect... typical dealership excuses that are not the customers problem) He assured me that the proper attention would be given to my situation, and asked that we wait for the service manager to return from a family emergency. I agreed.That was 8 weeks ago.This is completely unsatisfactory and a disgusting display of disregard towards a customer who is concerned for not only theirs, but the safety of their family as well. They may be able to change oil, but it is my opinion that their commitment to those who have spent a significant amount of money on their product is severely lacking.PREVIOUS REVIEW:Stopped in for an oil change. Advised that there was a national shortage on oil filters and one would have to be obtained at another dealership. This added an extra 2 hours of wait time, but certainly not the dealerships fault.They did what needed to be done to perform the job. Cant ask for anything more than that.

Waited 2 weeks for the appointment. Picked up the car it had leaves all over it, they didn’t even try to hose it off. They did not reset the alert that it needs an oil change when it has 3k until next oii change. They didn’t notice it is due for an inspection so I had to make another appointment. No attention to detail. No customer loyalty as I have been taking the car there for 5 years. I was looking at trading it in for a new car at the dealership but now that just seems crazy.

I just purchased a new Jeep from Pearson. I live in Roanoke, which is about 3 hours away from the dealership. They had the exact trim package and color that I wanted. I dealt with Mike in sales and we communicated via text, phone and email. We drove up to Richmond and everything was great. Mike had the jeep up front waiting for us to drive and had all the paperwork ready to go based on our agreement. Everything went great and everyone we dealt with was great. The final price was even a little less that we agreed upon. Mike even called our insurance agent to have the insurance transferred to the new vehicle. This was by far one of the best vehicle buying experiences that we have had and would highly recommend Mike and the staff at Pearson.

I have never dealt with a more incompetent dealership/service department in my whole life. From a botched oil change and then telling me to drive my Jeep to the dealership with no oil in my car to bringing it in for what I thought was to reprogram a module I had installed ( THAT DIDN’T EVEN NEED TO BE PROGRAMMED AND WAS CHARGED FOR) and picking it up in worse shape then how I brought it in. I drove my Jeep there and when I came to pick it up had to have it TOWED to a mechanic to now have it fixed. Save yourself the time, money and stress and go to Whitten Brothers in Ashland or to your normal mechanic.

I am not happy with the service received from this dealership. I had to pay for expensive hourly rate and I don’t see proof the dealership did the recalls on my vehicle. I want my money back for the hourly rate for labor because I was told it would only be $130 for evaluation and to find out what was wrong with the vehicle and now I have a bill for $440 not fair at all. I hope corporate sees this review and handles this better.

Overall the experience was acceptable. Glenn was cordial, and after three weeks we came to an agreement.I understand that my used car purchase was likely the smallest price vehicle transaction they will do this month, but it is a lot of money to me. I wasn’t made to feel special at any point in the process. There were no refreshments offered to me or my family on any of my three visits. To contrast this, I am offered a courtesy car for recall work on my 20 year old BMW at that dealership.I’m the end I would do business with Glenn and Pearson, but it would not be my first choice.

WORST SERVICE EVER. Had a prepaid maintenance plan. It has been honored at 3 separate Jeep dealers. Pearson refused to honor because they claimed it was after market. Its not, it was purchased through a Jeep dealer when we bought the brand new vehicle. Interesting how they refuse to honor something that Whitten in Midlothian, VA, Ferman in Lutz FL and Tallahassee Dodge in Tallahassee all took with no issue. Maybe the problem is with THEM? The attitude of the service advisor, Doug, was demeaning and belittling, and he clearly took great enjoyment with picking on a 21 year old girl, but at least I didnt cry until I was driving away. Even when provided the policy number and the evidence it was purchased at the dealer they refused to honor. No wonder it was so easy to get in, theyre awful. I am now out $78 for something that was already paid for.

Worst shop Ive ever been around and Ive worked in multiple mechanic shops. Coming from a certified mechanic this place is a waste of money. At least the truck center is. Twice I have taken my vehicle there for repairs and warranty repairs. Both times Ive been charged warranty deductible AS WELL AS DIAGNOSTICS WHICH IS INCLUDED IN WARRANTY CLAIMS. I would know considering I have filed many warranty claims myself. Both times Ive been charged and both times the problem wasnt fixed. Everytime I take my truck there it gets mis-diagnosed and then they throw a few parts on there (A band-aid) instead of figuring out the real issues. If my truck wasnt under warranty I would just fix it myself because I wouldnt trust these unexpierenced employees to fix a power wheels... Also the service writer is terrible with customer service and attitude and when I questioned his decision in charges and amounts he got an attitude and mad that I wanted to know what I was being charged for and why. TAKE YOUR VEHICLE SOMEWHERE ELSE

DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM HERE!I purchased a brand new 2021 Dodge Durango on June 12, my sales consultant was Wayne Mott. Everything started off good so I thought. When I left the dealership my Uconnect and Wifi wasnt set up and I had no instructions on how to get those things set up. On Tuesday I looked in the owners manuel and contacted both companies and set those things up. Now here is the most disturbing part on June 19 one week later after I just purchased the brand new 2021 Durango it breaks down on the highway I called the dealership for assistance and the guy told me it was nothing he could do to help me, once I leave the dealership it was no longer the problem of the dealership. As of right night I am still calling around trying to figure out who will pay for a rental car while my BRAND NEW truck is getting fixed. I was informed by MATT the sales manager that they do not have a return policy on new or used cars and he had no contacts for me to call for a loaner vehicle.

Very disappointed in the service. I paid for a Mopar Vehicle Plan that was pricey. They have refused to pay for major repairs twice. This has turned into an out of pocket expense to me over $12000. Why would anybody pay for a warranty that you can never use. This may be my last Chrysler product i ever buy.

I bought a used Jeep Wrangler on a Sunday afternoon at Pearson Chrysler Jeep Dodge. The salesman, Steve Collins was absolutely top notch and patient, as was Greg another Sales person, and Jeff the Finance guy. Together, they nade my purchase extremely smooth sailing and were all as helpful as could be. They even stayed past quitting time to get me finished and out the door. In short, they took GREAT care of me. Steve is really helpful and knows his products. This dealership is highly recommended !
