The best selection of wines and beer around!! Very well priced for an amazing value - and wines from around the U.S., but also other countries! My husband and I went to Portugal for a wine tasting tour not long ago, and discovered some amazing wines, Once Upon a Vine South carries an amazing selection of wines from Portugal!!AND -- not only do they carry an amazing selection of wine and beer, but you can also count on them for snacks and mixers for cocktails!! Great staff! I wanted something different and asked for advice. They were spot on.

I called to place a pickup order for a case of wine, but couldnt remember the names of the wines we usually purchased. The gentleman on the phone asked what style of wine we usually liked to drink, then made some selections for us. Every bottle in that case was spot-on perfection! They really know what theyre doing.

Expert staff. I’ve had so many good recommendations from them. They are helpful and friendly. They can order something they don’t carry.On Friday nights, the have a free wine tasting and there’s usually a beer tasting, too. Sometimes even a cider tasting.Don’t pass by the food section without taking a look. Great snacks to go with your beer or wine.

Great wine shop! The staff is very knowledgeable and always happy to make recommendations. The store is also organized by region and price, so you can easily fine a suitable wine for your needs.

These folks rock. They can definitely help pick out just what you need. Great curation of selection of which they seem to have first hand knowledge. Prices are very fair. Seems like they specialize in finding great wines at good prices.

Extremely friendly local beer and wine shop that provides excellent customer service and a pleasant experience buying beer! Love the Friday afternoon wine and beer tastings and the knowledgeable staff in helping to choose a good bottle to buy. They are well connected and always receive rare beer that you cant find elsewhere. Newly added taps allow them to serve growlers as well. Cant recommend enough!

I had the most horrendous experience at Once Upon a Vine South today. The older gentleman with the glasses did not greet me as I entered. I then just found my on way around the store but the grouchy associate could not get the CC machine online. And had the nerve to blame by saying I didnt have any money to spend so he ran his own card and realized it was his machine/internet connection that was at fault. Then he lost my CC card after 45 minutes I told him I was leaving. This place is rude and has the worst customer service. Waist of time!

2 stars for having the wine Ive been searching for for almost a year. If it werent for that I would never support this place. Im a regular at Once Upon a Vine on Macarthur and love it. This South extension however, is horrible. Both times I have been in here I have been greeted by silence and a guy just watching TV. The first time I went in I had to ask for a specific wine and got a lazy cynical response of no. The second time I am glad that all I had to do was make a transaction-because the staff was completely inert. I was the only person in the shop both times and I can see why. No greeting or even a mention of your presence when you enter the shop. I finally found the wine I had been looking for and the man at the counter literally threw my credit card back at me after ringing me up. Will never shop here again- and I advise others to do the same and stick with the Macarthur site- where the staff is friendly and actually seems to care that you want to shop for wine- rather than being rude and annoyed by your mere presence.
