This place was recommended by our hotel. Glad we went. The wings were excellent. Onion rings met the bite test: they came off as bitten into not in two pieces (breading and onion). My son had a sandwich; he reported it as really tasty. Our waitress, Cecilia, spoiled us.The bar features a real goal post, jersies hanging in the rafters and other memorabilia related to EKU. A trip to this place is worth just for this stuff alone.

Madison gardens was very delicious! Best chicken wings ever!! So much better than buffalo wild wings. A bit spendy but so worth it!! Very highly recommend👍👍

The staff was plenty except they ignored us to clean off the table that they said was ours, and then told us that we can to the table to quick for them to clean it. Wasn’t right. Tons of staff just walked by us standing by our table that needed to get wiped with sanitizer but nothing until we finally found the guy that seated us to let him know that we need a table wipe. The food was nothing special either. They need more wine selections too. The noise volume is deafening.

First time visit 10/10/21 around 5:00ish p.m. The server was good.The food was good, but IMHO it was too pricey - $23.98 for two sandwiches with fries. $7.99 for a small order of Fried Pickles PLUS an additional .39 cents for a small amount of ranch dressing for dipping (the pickles were good but a very small order.) $6.99 for a small House Salad that only had lettuce, tomato, cucumber, and shredded cheese. Everything in the salad looked fresh, and the ranch dressing was very good, but the salad was closer to the size of a side salad then any House Salad I’ve ever experienced. Our bill (before tip) was $50.56 for two sandwiches with fries, one unusually small House salad, one small order fried pickles, and three sodas – we ordered no alcoholic drinks. Then consider that our tip paid the employee for serving us.Also, please be aware that most current prices I can remember were higher than the prices shown on the menu posted online – $1.50 higher for most of the sandwiches with fries, for example. A plain cheeseburger is $8.99. Really?Five stars because nothing was wrong with the food. One star for the prices to portions ratio = three star average.

Madison Gardens is a staple in Richmond. Located downtown aha within walking distance of other great Richmond landmarks, you must give this place a visit for lunch or dinner. You must try their wings, the best around! Great selection of beer and other drinks.

Sweet potato waffle fries are really good. Some honey butter or cinnamon butter would make them perfect.

Great food, wonderful hosts and pleasantly surprised that there was live music. Ended up staying for almost 4 hours. Will definitely be back. Thank you, your staff, Annie(the musician) and your cook for such a great evening.

I’ve liked everything I’ve had from here! Burgers are good, pizza is good, wings are great! They also have some really good and fun drinks! The staff is very friendly. They do themed trivia every Wednesday just about which I love! That being said, the guy who does the trivia is not friendly. I always try to be extra nice to him in hopes I’ll see the kind side of him but so far no luck. It sucks because it makes me not want to go even though I love this place and I love the themed trivia.

The food was... okay. The way the place is organized is somehow both claustrophobic and bare. They did give us a free piece of Oreo ice cream cake for forgetting my girlfriends Buffalo chicken tacos.

I dont go nearly as often as I used to back when I was in college, but I went damn near every single weekend for all of those many years of school & even for quite a while after I graduated as well. I still go from time to time. It is my local go-to spot for client meetings, where we will order some lunch and have a drink or two while talking business. Throughout all of those many many years, every single one of those individual experiences have never been anything less than fantastic. This includes the quality of food itself, never once receiving an incorrect order, perfectly mixed drinks from the bar, timely serving of food/drinks and then of course (last but definitely not least) the servers as well as all other staff there - never anything less than pleasant and always do an amazing job. Definitely my favorite local bar & grill, by far. Highly recommend.

This place is amazing! The wings are famous here! Dusted with their special Buff Stuff powder giving them just the right kick! The burgers made with Angus beef are out of this world. You can really taste the difference. Wide selection of beers on tap and Bourbons of any price range. TVs all around. Also family friendly offerings on the menu. If you are in the area, run dont walk to dine there. Their super friendly staff will make you feel right at home with their southern hospitality. JUST GO!

Got there and was told by the host that they were serving fried food and pizza but then a minute later once the server came out we were told firmly they were no longer serving any food. Stayed for a drink and got warm flat beer.

My husband and I stopped in for dinner on our way to Tennessee. We had the chicken Philly sandwich. I had French fries with mine. The food was very good. Servers are very friendly. Prices are good. If we lived close by we would come again.

2019 Update: Was back in town and of course had to get some wings, Funny how the response to my old review stated they didn’t change the wings yet have a sign saying “WINGS ARE BACK” My Uncle who lives there even noticed the change. Well great news the wings ARE BACK! Huge, hot, and fresh! The hot level is perfect amount of heat and flavor. Always get the buffed fries too! (I do still believe 20 wings should come with two sauces as MANY restaurants do include 1-2 sauces and only charge if ordering extra)Original Review 2017 :They have changed chicken wings...they used to be so much better and larger and they charge for EVERY dressing...a double order doesnt come with ranch or blue cheese is obnoxious considering how much you are paying.

Went to madison garden last night because my better half was celebrating birthday. Upon sitting down ripped brand new jeans on nail sticking out on seat. Ordered food and literally everything came out burnt. Burgers were so well done the patty was crispy. Onion rings so hard couldnt eat them. I ordered meatball sandwich tasted old like reheated sauce and meatballs from days before. Then manager made us get up to hammer in nail. I was a regular here years earlier. Very disappointed how bad the food has become. I wont be back.

The wings are the ONLY thing this place has that keeps us coming back. However, we now order them to go. The salad is WAY overpriced and the draft beer (regardless of type ordered) is always warm. Get the wings and take home to a cold beer!

Madison Garden served our birthday party of four, the worst meals we ever ate. Hamburgers were burnt, onion rings were too hard to even eat, french fries -ok, reuben was terrible and so was the meatball sandwich. Do yourself a favor and dont order the spinach artichoke dip or try to wash it all down with their flat Pepsi. And if management offers to do it all again.......just say no because you will only get more sorry food.. What happened to this good little place?

I always enjoy a visit to Madison Gardens. The staff and service are very friendly and attentive. Their food and drinks are tasty at good prices. Its just a fun atmosphere with many big screen TVs for watching sports. No wonder so many locals are always there.

Good food but way too expensive. Charge you for one cup of ranch with your wings, charge you for fries with your burger even when you order a meal, just completely overpriced and slow

My first impression is that the restaurant is very homey. It feels like somewhere youd want to just hang out. We ordered a variety of foods with varying results. The buff chips were undercooked, still almost hard. My Madison Garden burger had a chemical taste to it, something just tasted off. My husband enjoyed his chili burger but I think it is cinncy chili because the seasoning was different. Now....the wings...if we had only ordered wings this would be a 5 star review. They were soooooo good! I just wish everything else had matched.

Amazing atmosphere, Jason (owner) is literally the best. Food is great and wings are the best in town or anywhere for that matter. Servers do a great job and super attentive. Tons of trivia nights, events and no cover charges. Definitely a must to stop by weekly.

One of my favorite places to eat, and have a beverage in Richmond. They have a dry rub type wing that is my favorite. Pizza is amazing, and you can get it by the slice. Burger is phenomenal. Great beer selection, and prices are very reasonable. Craving the wings just writing this.

Always love going here the food is great. It has that good vibes feel and the staff is always friendly. This is truly a place that you have to visit if youre ever in Kentucky. Polite and professional staff, fast service, and they make sure that they get your order right. Check it out.

Favorite bar in Richmond. Moved there 14 years ago and upon recommendation, went and tried the wings...hooked!! Three years ago moved to Michigan but visit Madison Garden everytime we come to Richmond, KY to visit family. And we never allow ourselves to run out of the wing dry rub that you can purchase at the establishment. Absolute must if you are passing through Richmond, KY and beyond the wings...the menu has something for everyone.

Very cool restaurant & bar in Downtown Richmond. Food & service was excellent! We had the wings & pizza & both were great! The personal size pizza was more than one person could finish when also eating a small order of wings.

Got seated right away. Server was very nice & fast. Food was great. I did ask for no tomato on my sandwich a(& they put it on it any ways. I would go back again though. Great place.
