We met Amy when going through a massive home renovation and wow--how fortunate were we!!! She helped us refurnish our entire house and made it SO easy AND fun!! She thinks of every detail and honors your interests/style while still encouraging you to consider things outside of your comfort zone. Her taste, attention to detail, patience, and excellent communication and follow up skills, always left us feeling like we had her attention and she was on top of everything (which she was)! I cant recommend Ethan Allan and her enough! They strive for AND deliver top notch service every step of the way! You wont be disappointed!

We were new Ethan Allen customers and walked into the store looking for new bedroom furniture. We didn’t have an appointment but Melissa who is one of EA’s Richmond, VA designers made time for us. She was so knowledgeable, patient and a good listener. She helped us pick the perfect bedroom furniture chandelier, lamps, mirror along with the perfect fabrics. (We wanted to keep the existing dresser and armoire). She even designed our floor plan to help us visualize the furniture in our space. She followed up several times afterwords giving us updates on the arrival and delivery status. The overall experience was excellent and we felt well cared for. Even the delivery people were friendly, professional and competent. We would definitely recommend Ethan Allen and will shop with them again.

Working with Melissa was a dream! She listened to my concerns, addressed any issues (very promptly!) and helped me select exactly what I needed for a great room “refresh”. Delivery was early, and the guys wanted to make sure I was happy in the placement of the furniture. Will not hesitate in calling again for additional pieces!

We had a GREAT experience at Ethan Allen Richmond recently. Our designer was Amy Peacock Smith was so nice and helpful in assisting us in finding the right pieces we needed. The delivery crew was wonderful!!! So helpful, friendly, pleasant and professional. The furniture is not inexpensive, but is certainly more than worth the money because you do get what you pay for. We own some fine furniture now. All in all---all parties were a class act at Ethan Allen Richmond!!

Our furniture is beautiful. The delivery and set up was perfect. However, it took 7 months to get it. Our criticism is not toward our local Ethan Allen store or staff. We recognize that during these difficult times, materials, labor and transportation were all adversely affected. Our criticism is towards the company being short-sighted in preparing for disasters. EA seems only to have a single supplier of foam and the chemicals that produce it, and it’s located far from where our furniture was manufactured. We think EA needs to be better prepared for future disasters.

Working with Melissa was amazing. She was so helpful in assisting us with finding exactly what we were looking and guided us through the process. We loved having her work with us; she’s awesome. And we absolutely love the selections she guided towards.The company, however, we were a little less impressed with. Strictly in updating us on the production of our items. We kept wondering when we’d hear an update about the delivery and we had to call multiple times. The dates kept getting pushed back. We understand delivery has been slowed due to the virus, but we weren’t well informed when the dates kept getting pushed further and further back.Wouldn’t have been an issue, except for the second time when we thought we we’re getting our furniture, we had gotten rid of our old items. So we went a month and a half with hardly anything in our living room at all. Again, just would’ve been nice to know the dates got pushed back again.

Recently purchased a leather sofa through special order, and it was an all round great experience.I did months of research and decided that Ethan Allen was a good value for my needs. Plus, I could visit a showroom to see, feel, and test the product.Megan was incredibly patient and thorough in showing me the various options and answering my questions. No pressure. She was focused on giving me the information I needed to make my own decision.When I was ready to buy, she clearly explained the special order process, delivery, and my options for a warranty. She even explained how to care for the sofa.Delivery was flawless.The sofa is amazing! Special order color matches the swatch. It’s very comfortable and solid. It has elevated my afternoon sofa naps to a whole new level.I am a very happy customer!

Table arrived slightly damaged but the Ethan Allen technician arrived promptly and now you would never know. Shout out to Megan Vogel our designer who was so helpful in our virtual consultation - we really love the design of the table, and can’t wait for the chairs to arrive (they have been delayed by the fabric availability). If you want personal service this is the place to shop for home furnishings.

Working with Melissa was such a pleasure. I had been to several furniture stores before I went to Ethan Allen and it was like flagging down a sales rep. Melissa listened to my style and the specific dimensions I needed. First she found me the style. We did lots of cushion testing to see the comfort level. After we selected a sofa I liked we viewed the fabric. That can be over whelming, so I left it for another day. At my second appointment she had many fabric samples. By the process of elimination we choose 3 possibilities. She covered the sofa with the samples so I could see how the sunlight reflected or enhanced the colors. Once the purchase was made, Melissa contacted me about every two weeks with an update of the progress of the sofa being built. It arrived 4 weeks early, so I was ecstatic. Three main reasons I chose Ethan Allen: The sales rep met my needs. The communication after the purchase was timely, and lastly the sofa looks so awesome in my house. Its the exact comfort level I desired. See Melissa, especially if you looking for something modern. Shes got a keen eye.

Had such a great experience (as usual) at Ethan Allen. Customer service excellent, from the time I walked in the door until time of delivery. Knowledgeable designers in showroom that made the purchasing process so pleasant. Delivery of furniture well before expected, great delivery staff and furniture is exactly what I was expecting (quality, color, functionality). We’ve used Ethan Allen several times before and have never been disappointed. Have tried other furniture companies (looking for lower prices since we had young kids that would be rough on furniture), but have regretted it every time, and always make our way back to Ethan Allen.

My experience with my salesperson was great. I found the chairs i was looking for, we picked out the material .......it took about 30 mins. We really hit it off and he seemed to know what i liked. He offered to come to my house to make sure everything would work out with my rug. I was very satisfied with his customer service.

She was such a pleasure to work with. We were purchasing furniture for a second home in CA and she made everything go smoothly from start to having the furniture delivered to CA. She even sent the layout slides to us to forward to a friend who was taking delivery for us. I would highly recommend Ethan Allen in Richmond and Megan as a consultant.

Janice Lynch was extremely helpful turning our playroom into a teen lounge. Her expertise guided us on selecting the perfect furniture and fabric that totally transformed the space. She incorporated our input (including our teen daughters) to present design concepts to achieve our vision for the room. We recently moved to the Richmond Area and stopped by Ethan Allen to check some furniture. Megan was our designer and helped us picked furniture for our living room.Everything was delivered on a timely manner and our living room looks great! I am a huge Ethan Allen fan and love their furniture. I visited to purchase a mattress and adjustable bed frame. The mattresses are now spread throughout the store and not grouped together. I went to Ethan Allen because I like Kingsdown mattresses and they manufacture Ethan Allen brand mattresses. Needless to say, I did not make a purchase. I had a phenomenal experience at Mattress Warehouse where I purchased a Kingsdown mattress and an adjustable bed frame.

I love Ethan Allen and its furniture. I also love the fact that the designers will come to your home and help you pick out the best fabrics, designs, paint colors, etc. I have worked with Melaine in the W. Broad Store several times and she is so wonderful! I would highly recommend her!

Ive shopped at Ethan Allen before and always had a great experience with both the service and quality of the furniture. Recently I needed to furnish a new room addition and had the pleasure of working with one of their design consultants, Megan Vogel. I would highly recommend Megan - she takes time to get to know the customer, their style, and their living space. She made a couple of visits to my house to measure space and to ensure our selections and colors integrated with the other rooms in the home. She was very thorough, and was great at communicating with me throughout the entire process.

From the friendly greeting as I walked in, to leaving, having ordered my sofa, I was very well cared for by everyone. Melane listened to my wishes and guided me throughout the process of purchasing my beautiful Hastings sofa. I have always loved Ethan Allen products. In 1964 I purchased a table and 4 chairs, dresser, chest on chest, and step end table from EA. I still have those items and have always been happy to have had the good sense to purchase them as a 22 year old who had just begun a $5200/ year job as a teacher. Bit by bit I paid them off. It was not just a furniture purchase that I paid off....it was an investment.

I have purchased several pieces of furniture from Ethan Allen, and in particular Judy Brown, over the past two decades. Judy has the product knowledge and the design experience necessary to make the client feel confident and comfortable with their furniture choices.We have been to other furniture stores but we always come back to EA because of the quality of the pieces and the professionalism of the staff.

I got above-and-beyond help from my designer, Judy Brown, who took great care to help me make a smart purchase with a finish that would match my other existing furniture. She followed up to make sure that everything was on track and took extra care to keep me informed. The quality of the bed I bought was impressive. Its SOLID, well made, and it will be a fine piece of furniture for many years. Im very pleased with my Ethan Allen experience.

We went back to her a second time for bedroom furniture help after she helped us pick out beautiful family room furniture. As I had been looking for a particular style bed, I came across Ethan Allen, I was excited that they had one that would work, so I called to get information regarding the bed and to possibly make an appointment to go in and start the process, I’m very serious about customer service and we all know it starts over the phone, I called several times yesterday and no one answered the phone, to a busy signal to just nothing and the phone would hang up. I called later and a lady answered the phone stated the store not her name, so I said hello how are you she says fine, then silence, so I said I’m calling about your Kayla bed, and I started talking and before I could get another word in, she cut me off and said it’s on clearance on the floor, I said ok but I wasn’t asking you about clearance she said it’s on the floor I said I wasn’t asking you about clearance or the floor, and I said I had questions about it being tufted, she starts talking to someone else asking them about the tufting, and said yea it can be tufted, I said thank you she was rude and clearly did not want my money. I called back the “manager Andrew I believe wasn’t any better and all he had to say was he apologize and he would address it. Wow no please give us a chance or that’s not how we treat ppl. So needless to say I will not be spending my $$$ in Ethan Allen and will post on social media, on how rude they’re !!

Excellent customer service from purchase to delivery. Ethan Allen is not the least expensive furniture store in the area, but I am a firm believer you get what you pay for. I would highly recommend any of the sales associates as several assisted in when making my recent purchase.

We were looking to refresh the downstairs living space of our home. After visiting other furniture stores, we went to Ethan Allen. By pure luck, we met our design consultant Abigail Mitchell. Weve always struggled with coordinating furniture, color and accessories for our home. We were looking for a complete interior design plan from start to finish. One of the main goals was the flow of the design from room to room. Abi carefully listened to all our requests and was extremely responsive. After visiting our home and tireless efforts, Abi provided a stunning design for our family room, sitting room and kitchen. We are absolutely thrilled with the service Abigail provided to us! Working with her was a great pleasure. We highly recommended Abigail and look forward to working with her on future projects! We couldn’t of done it without her!

I have been working with Abigail Mitchell and she is fantastic! This is the first home I have decorated myself, no hand me down furniture, just me. I didnt even know what my style was! Abi was patient and everything she chose for me was because she listened to what I wanted and what I said I liked. She is so easy to work with and doesnt push at all. She got to know me, my style and my cats (which was important in picking new furniture). I highly recommend working with a designer and I wouldnt work with anyone else but Abi!

I have used Megan Vogel at Richmond Ethan Allen for years now. She has such an eye for detail that I unfortunately was just not born with. She has helped me decorate my two-bedroom townhouse and when I moved into a single family home, I reached out for more help. She listens, responds quickly to emails, will come out and take measurements of your rooms, and presents you with different options- which I love. She has helped me stay within a reasonable budget over the years from something as simple as decorating my mantle to redoing my entire bedroom and even my son’s nursery. She is friendly and has amazing taste. I would highly recommend her decorating services through EA of RVA!

My wife and I started working with Megan Vogel when she worked at Ethan Allen’s Fredericksburg, Va., store and had such a good experience that we followed her to the Richmond location. She has listened carefully to our desires and offered great suggestions as we sought to refresh our master bedroom, family room and dining room. Megan at the Rmond Ethan Allen location is AMAZING!!!!In fact we received a delivery today that we purchase through Megan. Currently 11 of 13 rooms in our home have Ethan Allen furniture in them from furniture, rugs, window treatment, several bedding sets, lamps, décor. Megan also helped us with purchasing an entire bedroom for our grand daughter for a house/room that she had never been in or seen. So I guess that makes 12 rooms!Never, ever have we felt rushed or pressured when working with Megan. Megan has been our designer since June 2015. As long as we need items for our home Megan will be our go to! LOVE HER!!!!!!!!!! Would give 10 stars if we could.

Finding the perfect sofa took three visits and several Goldilocks seatings. The Short Pump store staff - - Andrew and Judy - - were patient and very helpful. In the end, I decided on a sofa totally different than what I went in to see. Choosing fabric and ordering were easy. Waiting for delivery was hard - - - but now its been here for a few weeks and I couldnt be happier. Great looks and quality. Highly recommend Ethan Allen and their wonderful staff.Peggy Schaeffer

Didnt really see the attraction. Most of the furniture looked like engineered wood or plastic. Didnt get much help. May have been my flannel shirt made me look too poor to shop there.

Very horrible experience with getting my furniture delivery from this group. Was moving to a brand new apt and wanted updated and quality furniture items to match the new home. The design consultant was fantastic, but after she quit, i found out that the store is now a corporate store. I got caught in between the transition from a locally owned store to a new corporate location. They changed ordering systems as well..My issue started when the delivery team from the warehouse was clueless on what i had to be delivered. Floor samples( in the basement with my name on them) did NOT need me to wait to have them come in ( they were there already).Since my main contact/ the designer had left, i was told my order was in the store managers hands for completion. That would have been fine,but he retired before my order was ready to shipThe direction after that event( retirement) was that the order was being handled by a senior design consultant and the operations manager. The reason that I required more assistance was due to the two different ordering systems, plus having product from a purchase of floor samples.The new consultant was not able to find the paperwork, and I had to scan my copies in and send to her. Luckily I kept everything that was part of the process. She told me that my order was going to be followed by the ops manager while she was away for a few days.At that point, i was fuming. I felt like i was handed off to numerous people, all of which were not doing much at all to resolve my delivery.I called to speak to the ops manager( i was less than three weeks away from the delivery). Her response to an obviously very upset customer was that she sent a few emails, and that was the process:....not what i wanted to hear. VERY VERY upset over that. She seems to be the key to all of the deliveries, but obviously seems to have a lack of concern to get product to customers.With the amount of money that i spent, a few emails less than three weeks from the delivery was TOTALLY unacceptable.I finally was able to get someone at the delivery location who knew what they were doing, but then they had my wrong address( old apt where i was moving from, not to), and they indicated that they could not deliver if there was a balance on the account( i was paying on the EA credit card over time). Why does a balance on an Ethan Allen credit card make a delivery an issue?District manager was finally able to get all of the paper work resolved and correct and i did get my furniture.I will never order from this group again. For a high end furniture company, it felt more like I was held hostage and needed to fight for my purchases.

Our shopping experience was amazing! We love the items we purchased for our new home and absolutely adore our designer/sales person, Melaine Kliewer. She was so honest and helpful during the entire process, even making several trips to our home.In addition, the delivery process was exceptional as well. We have had several different deliveries and each one went perfectly. The delivery guys were very polite and helpful. They were so careful with our wood Flores and furniture pieces. Definitely very professional!!!I honestly can’t say enough about our experience with Ethan Allen on Broad St. in Richmond, VA.We can’t wait to shop with Melaine very soon 😊

Terrible service. We ordered dining room furniture and were initially told a delivery date. The date came and went and no furniture. We called repeatedly and left messages for people to cll us back. No one did. We have even spoken to people who told us they would call us back with an estimate. We never heard back from them. WE PAID FOR FURNITURE AND CAN NOT GET AN ANSWER FROM SOMEONE ON WHEN WE CAN EXPECT DELIVERY. What happened to this once amazing furniture store? Stay far away.

Unbelievably bad quality and service.I ordered a houseful of Ethan Allen in the early 90s and couldnt be happier.I did the same when I moved to a condo in October of 2017.It took 3.25 months to get my initial delivery. My dining table took another two months.The buffet in my dining area had to be replaced due to bad quality, which took until May of 2018.My end tables were damaged, but with all the other issues I just let it go.The cushions in the sofa and loveseat are virtually worthless. The ones I got in the 90s had springs in them, but the new ones do not and looked like they were worn out after one sitting.

Ethan Allen still sets a high bar for beautiful furniture that is built solid. The store is beautifully displayed, staff attentive.

Ever since the store went corporate it is not the same in service! Took months and dozens of phone calls to have furniture delivered! As another customer writes, why must we pay off the furniture before it can be delivered?? I had done this and stillit took 5 months to get our product. Delivery service is not accommodating. Just lost another customer.

Our first experience with Ethan Allen was an excellent one. We wanted a unique sofa color and interesting contrasting fabric for the accompanying chair. With Amy Peacock Smiths assistance we found the perfect colors and styles to keep our living room (the center of our home) interesting for years to come. The colors are even more beautiful than expected, and the quality of the furniture is top notch.
