Great team at Williams Service. Quick, accurate quality care. Receptionist (right word?) was super friendly and efficient. Dropped my car at 8:30 am, had safety inspection, oil change and 4 new tires done. Got a call that my car was ready by 2:30. Pretty happy with the service and would recommend!

I’m always so worried about getting taken advantage of because I don’t know anything about cars and I’m a woman. I actually had a conversation with one of the guys here about it and he was very reassuring and said he wouldn’t do anything like that because he has a wife and daughters. Such a nice guy!Aside from that, the work they do is exceptional, and I’m always amazed at how fast they are!I completely forgot about my inspection sticker and I called everywhere for an appointment. State inspection and oil change done on a Saturday at the end of month! A bit of a wait to be seen but exactly what I expected and so grateful they fit me in. When they actually got the car in the back the oil change and inspection were completed quickly.

They were very quick and efficient with my inspection. I scheduled an oil change for a week later and was given the price up front. They even complimented my 20 year car and how well maintained it is.

I was an out of towner and came in with a tire issue. They promptly fixed the issue and at no charge! Great service and great work- highly recommend.

My first experience at Williams was when I pulled in to get a flat fixed. It was early on in the pandemic and they werent very busy so the mechanic worked it right away with pleasant conversation and no charge. I wasnt even a customer yet! Two visits after that for regular service and the vibe is the same. Very easy place with smart mechanics who are upfront about their services.

Referred by some family friends who have been using Williams for years, I’ve been bringing my older Audi here for about two years myself. I’ve felt the staff and owner Matt have always shot straight with me about what service I need (or don’t need). German cars can be quirky and I have appreciated their attention to detail and answering all of my questions and inquires about sometimes very little things. In fact I took this same car a while back to another independent shop in Richmond and regretted it, they said I needed work which I did not. I’ve kept coming back to Williams and plan to do so in the future

I had gone to NTB previously to get an oil change (happened to have a coupon), and was told I needed both new brakes/rotors, and also new tires. I decided to go to Williams because of a recommendation from a friend. Boy, am I glad I listened- I dropped off my car and they quickly told me I had at least 8-12 months left on the brakes. Matt saved me at least $400 that day, and everyone I spoke to was extremely kind on top of that. I will most certainly be back any time I need my car serviced, and recommend others do the same!

First time visiting, no complaints. Their online scheduling is quick and easy, and you should hear a reply back within 24hrs (at least in my case). I had an appointment at 1PM, arrived on time and checked in. Within 40 minutes my car was taken care of. Respect for the accuracy of the appointment time I was skeptical if it mattered if other people who didnt make an appointment came in. The receptionist was friendly and the waiting room is always a plus. Great shop and minutes away from home, the texting/email over calls will always keep me coming back. Love the streamline service. Will be making this my primary point of service and will update this review if anything severely changes.

Took my truck into the shop for a weird clunking noise that was being made when I turned my wheel. Come to find out, my front left and right sway bars were cracked/worn. They had to keep the truck over night due to the OeR coming in but they fixed it for me and now the truck runs better than ever. Can’t thank them enough. Will def recommend them and will use them during my stay here in Richmond.

We are not locals to Richmond, just drove in on our way to Texas. AC not working right. Williams took us same day. Brought van in and waited, three hours for them to take van to a bay and do the work, also change oil and filter. Quality of work was excellent; weve had strong AC since. Not cheap, but not unreasonable. Have very positive feelings about Williams and Id recommend them wholeheartedly.

I have used Williams Auto Service for 18 years for various services for several cars Ive owned during this time. I have relied on them almost exclusively for state inspections. They have always been fair and honest with their pricing and service. I have had no reservations recommending them to family and friends. I highly recommend them.

I had been going here for about a year, mainly because I live so close by I could just walk. However, I’m not going here anymore. Their labor charges are very expensive and I’ve had to come back multiple times for a simple oil issue (first for oil pressure, and then for a subsequent oil leak) that still has not been resolved. They just told me that the oil system is expensive to fix and kept recommending expensive fixes. This, on top of them surely upcharging me since I am a single young woman, has turned me off to this place completely. Such a sad reality. Going to find a new shop ASAP.

I came in for a state inspection and was the first customer to arrive. Although other customers arrived and got in line before me. Matt made sure my car was serviced first. The receptionist was very welcoming and professional. The shop was clean and organized. It was only there for 45 minutes. It was a awesome experience and I will definitely return to have any service done for my car. I highly recommend Williams Auto Service! I give it 5 stars!

I ran across williams auto service a few years ago. I’ve taken all of my recent vehicles here over the past I would say 2-3 years. I enjoy their service because they have been truthful, they explain things to me and give me break downs with options to work on things needed repaired or updated as I can. Saturday I went in for a inspection. The gentleman who performed my inspection was of course booked to the max yet he remained patient, courteous and professional. You do not find service like this much. I’m appreciative and pray I continue to experience great customer service upon every visit.

We went a few minutes ago with my husband to inspect the car and a blond boy who works there was very rude when he asked my husband to move the car from where he had left it parked for just a few seconds. My husband got down to ask if there was availability and this man came out all rude to tell him to remove the car from where he had left it, which was badly parked. We understand that it was not the proper parking place and we did not intend to park there for a long time; but it was not the correct way to ask a customer to move the car from where it was parked. Wed rather go and go somewhere else.

Very unprofessional place! my friend ended up taking her car here to get serviced here and they ended up making her car EVEN WORSE. then refused to fix what THEY DAMAGED and wouldn’t give her, her money back. how do you tell someone that their car “isn’t worth fixing” when you could’ve easily fixed it the first time she brought it to you all to be serviced? and even if it wasn’t it’s your damn job to fix cars that’s why y’all are here? you’re getting paid to perform something so do it right the first time.

Williams is always so professional and I’ve been going to them for years for every oil change and inspection since I moved to Richmond. Recently, my car broke down due to an oil leak and I had to have it towed to Williams - they worked on it immediately the next morning, and gave me several update calls to keep me informed on what was going on and on price. Turns out a recent auto shop I had to visit for my oil change (I was traveling and could not go to Williams as normal) incorrectly changed my oil filter and almost ruined my engine, but Williams saved it. Needless to say, I’m never taking my car to anyone except Williams ever again!

Inspected my car quickly without appointment, and everyone there was very kind. Highly recommend!

Matt and all the staff at Williams Auto are FANTASTIC!!! Everyone there is always ready to help whether it be payment arrangements; which Ive done with them, and Im sure most other auto shops would not offer that. They really take the time to make sure you understand the repairs that are needed and warranted. They treat you like family and the customer service is always top notch! I wouldnt trust my vehicle to just anyone, but Williams Auto has a customer for life!!!!

Williams Auto is seriously a gem when it comes to mechanics. I live in Manchester just a few streets over so its very convenient to just drop my car off and walk home while they work on it. They work very quick and hard. I found I had a dead battery mid day on a Friday and brought it in for them to replace it. They had it done in less than 3 hours even though they appeared to be slammed and it was Friday afternoon. Youd be hard pressed to find a better, quicker, trustworthy mechanic in Richmond.

My Audi Q5 needed a repair that was going to cost me hundreds more at the Dealership. I’m excited to have found an after Dealership (out of warranty) home! Excellent service from the front door to the back door. Thanks Matt and rest of the team.

Went to get a sticker and they rejected it. They wanted to charge me $1800 in order to get a sticker. I went to another shop and got a sticker for $20.

I’ve been trying to find a decent car to buy for college. I called Williams Auto Service to do a pre-inspection for a vehicle I was interested in. A pre-inspection lets you know everything that is wrong with a vehicle before you purchase it. I was a little hesitant at first but I’m glad I decided to go with this Auto Shop. Not only were they quick but they were cheap and extremely helpful. I never write reviews but I felt the need to write one so everyone knows how awesome this place is. This place saved me $10k. If it wasn’t for them performing a pre-inspection, I would have brought a bad car. The dealership was trying to pull a fast one on me and cheat me out of my money so thank you Willam Auto Shop for helping me. I’m planning to return again to get another pre-inspection for some another vehicles im interested in. I look forward to doing business with them again. Thanks!

Got my AC compressor replaced for a fair price, hundreds of dollars cheaper than 4 other shops I got quotes from.

Staff was very helpful and honest about what repairs and maintenance actually needed to be done. I was quoted a much cheaper price for the same maintenance than from a different auto service shop.

I needed an inspection and 3 bulbs needed to be replaced. I was able to take care of it in one visit on a Saturday.

On my last visit, I would have appreciated ways to save money on the needed work and maybe a maintenance suggestion.In general, five stars are really special, all the boxes checked and feeling individually appreciated, and seeing others individually appreciated.

They always make time to look at my car when I bring it in.When there has been something extensively wrong with my car, they have taken the time to explain the issues to me clearly and answer all of my questions. On multiple occasions they have followed up by phone after my car has been serviced to make sure there are no remaining issues or concerns. Highly recommend if you are in the Manchester area!

They were pricey for a pretty simple job. I was charged over $100 for an oil change and a cabin air filter change and I provided the filter myself. I YouTube’d how to change the filter and that job doesn’t amount to what I was charged to get it done. 9 times out of 10 I won’t return to them.

Really awesome and nice people! Super convenient if you live in the Manchester area and they even drove me home/picked me up since it was a rainy day. Ive had my 2016 Honda Civic for almost four years now and my low oil light has to be manually reset. This is the FIRST place that has ever actually reset the light for me before giving me back my car. It doesnt sound like much but it really made my day. Will definitely be going back!!

Really great shop, Anne was so nice and patient with me while I explained how badly mangled my vehicle was. It was completely fixed up for lower than I was quoted. A few weeks later one of Richmonds many pot holes knocked a piece loose and they fixed it under warranty for free. I have used them about 4 times since I moved to town and so far so good. We have lived in the Manchester area for over a year and Williams Auto has been the perfect place for us when it comes to maintaining our cars. Recently, my car started making the strangest noise. My husband called Williams Auto and they said to bring it in immediately and they would take a ride with him to see what’s going on. They drove around and the employee was able to figure out what was wrong almost right away. He reassured us that it wasn’t a big deal and offered to fix it right then and there, free of charge! I can’t recommend using Williams Auto enough — they are great and are always super friendly and fair!

They open at 9:00. Got there at 9:28am, it was close to 11:00 when they got to my car. My car was ready by 11:25. The wait was an hour and a half for a State Inspection and oil change, although I was the only one waiting in the lobby. Guess a lot of people had dropped the car off. Some came after me but got taken before me. Not sure what thats about.

They always get me in and out quick. :) Even if I have an issue that is difficult to figure out....

They did great work on my vehicle, price was reasonable for the amount of work I needed.

Got there at 1030 am they had my car in the air so called getting inspection. I didnt get car til 2:30pm nd I was told it would h a hour smh. Nvr go there

Driving through Richmond heading to Dallas Texas our fuel pump broke and William’s auto had us on the road quickly. I had the truck towed there after hours they had it diagnosed and fixed within five hours of opening.

State inspection passed after replacing my turn signal light bulb.

This is the only place that will actually make it work. Im always on the last day for state inspection and i had ask around the closer shops to me and they all had some type of waiting line at opening hours. Williams Auto Service has the nicest front desk staff (seriously the nicest ever!!), they have the best prices that I have found for the quality of service they provide, and are extremely quick. Williams Auto is one of the most honest businesses you could ever work with.Id taken a vehicle to them and another shop, and they once offered to fix a problem they hadnt caused - it turned out to have been the other shop. They were the ones who offered to fix it, though.When we had a friends vehicle in for major repairs, they called us and asked to do the engine work *first* because if it turned out to be a more expensive job it might have put things out of her price range and they didnt want her on the hook for suspension work on a car she couldnt drive. They actively look for ways to save their customers money.Mechanics can be worrying, and folks who dont know a lot about the mechanical workings of their vehicles will worry if theyre being ripped off.But I can tell you from experience that this shop operates with honesty and integrity.

Just visited this place to get the worst service ever in my life. Went and did wheel alignment and wasnt done correctly as the car wasnt going in straight line. Went to drop of the car second time for them to redo it and not only that the alignment is still not done correctly but also they scratched my vehicle by hitting another car. They say that somebody else hit my car in the parking lot and my car was parked face fronting the fence about half feet away from the fence, so you tell me what car can hit the bumper like this on the front?? The manager himself drove the car as he said, well looks like he aint a driver at all since he hits parked cars... Wouldnt recommend art all, stay away from this place!!!

Super friendly and super helpful. They fixed my car within 24 hours and even offered to allow me to tow my broken down car to the shop and leave it overnight. The front desk is very polite and the mechanics were careful to explain everything that was wrong with my car to me in detail so I could understand. I just moved here, so I’m not sure how their prices compare to other mechanics in the Richmond area, but they definitely do good work. Highly recommend.Update: These guys really do great work. I had a transmission issue a month after my first review of Williams Auto Service on here and they made the time to get me in the garage again ASAP so I could have my car back for work as soon as possible. The receptionist was super nice and helped gather information on the phone to make sure everything was fixed right too. I thought my car was completely toast... but they got me back on the road quick and for a decent price. Highly recommend because of their customer service and speed. Local small shop but still professional and timely. They’ll take care of you if you can get your car over to their lot.

Five star service all the way. Have used them multiple times when my old car started Breaking down.. they were always Fair,honest,and fast. But the reason they get five star service in my opinion is because they go out of their way for customers- even if youre not paying for a service- they have helped me program fobs, given me advice, and even gone as far as sent an employee to unlock my vehicle when the keys were locked in the ignition. I dont know what more has to be said about a shop but they have gladly earned my money as far as services go- too bad cars breaking down is never a enjoyable expense
