I searched all of Ohio and visited/spoke to many Honda dealers. Every one had marked up the vehicles or were selling for only MSRP. One in Columbus had offered a discount but didn’t have the color I wanted. When I finally found the color I wanted at Wetzel, without having to go back and forth, they offered same deal for me. The staff was amazing! We worked with Elijah and he was incredibly knowledgable and kind. Even after our purchase he offered his time to make sure my phone was connected to car and answered any other questions we had. Even though they are a 4 hour drive for us, I would go back to Wetzel Honda any day. I have already make many recommendations for others to use this dealership! Thank you for making my car buying experience so quick and easy!

Came.here to buy a specific car took them days tol learn it was sold then Im like ok worked on another deal then went back in and decided I just wanted a new car sales mans even confirmed the price was as advertised on the website so I said Ill take it ne t thing I know price went up over 3k because no one there knows what they are doing and they wouldnt honor the price after I was told it was the cheaper amount and completely cleared my car out. Left out of principal and wouldnt even consider the used car after everything that went on

We had to get our vehicle worked on and the service department was great. Very kind, respectful and helpful people. The sales department is different story, we had a question and went to talk to someone we were snubbed and waited for assistance for a about a half an hour and no one approached us to even ask.

Stopped to look, decided I liked a new car that they had three of in stock, went to the bank & got pre-approval & salesman did a follow up call with me about that car. I let salesman know I would be back in that day with my approved financing for that car. Arrived at dealership & none of those cars were parked on lot. Salesman let me know they must have sold them. I feel like before I took time to get paperwork together & time to get my pre-approval from my bank that day that they could have told me they no longer had any of these vehicles available. Extremely disappointed but I would have understood if I had been provided that information when salesman called to have me come back. I dont feel that being honest, up front & valuing my time is too much to ask 😕

Jeff Baldwin made the car buying process simple! He understood how on edge we were with just having the worst experience at Cronin Toyota in Richmond. He was very friendly and not pushy at all. I guess its a scavenger hunt when you think these people are going to get you your title. We paid cash in early november its almost christmas still no title, but now we got an application for a title. Very vague on sales receipt, now have to pay again for title??? Also different name on bill of sale then actual salesperson. Buyer beware, I guess you have to make sure your not getting swindled there is no such thing as customer service anymore.

This is the third new vehicle Ive purchased from Wetzel Honda and by far the worst experience Ive had at any dealership in the past, first I get home and the low tire light comes on and upon check the rear passenger tire is low and I put air in it but the light doesnt go off automatically (didnt know that because they failed to tell me that) so I take it in and all they do is show me how to turn off the light and then a week later it comes back on so I take it back and it has something in the tire and charge me $27.00 (even tho I purchased a tire warranty) then I get an email saying they dropped the price of my car by $2000 dollars and I havent even made the first payment yet and they refused to do anything just said basically to bad you should have waited we have no price guarantees. I signed up for the auto pay so they take the payment out every two weeks and that saves you 4 months on a 60 month loan and they must have messed that up too because I just received my payment statement, I wouldnt recommend Wetzel Honda, I went here to support local business but will be traveling outside Richmond for my next Honda and recommend you do the same.

Our service experience was great! Our car started making a noise as we drove among the interstate on an out of town trip. Wetzel was the local Honda dealership and we drove straight there. I went to see a vehicle they have listed as a CPO. In the pictures they posted online, the vehicle looked fine without damage. I drove almost an hour and a half to see this vehicle only to find this damage that wasnt disclosed via phone call or in the pictures. Be wary of this dealer as they are not adhering to the strict guidelines of the Honda CPO program and are hurting the integrity of the program.

My wife and I stopped by to look at Honda Pilots. After exhausting research we had decided that may be the car for us. We were met by Wade Stinson, who immediately felt like more of a friend, or neighbor, than a car salesman. He took time to get to know us, our wants and needs, and listened well. He wasnt hurried, or pushy. He made us feel like we were the only customers he had today.We were still a little apart on the final deal, when we got to meet Wades sales manager. He brought the deal down into our range, again without being pushy or rude.The great manners of this location really sealed the deal. Even Bob, the finance guy was very helpful...answering numerous questions for us on a Friday evening just before Christmas.This is how car shopping should be. They will have our continued business, as long as this great service keeps up. Dont be afraid to stop in and talk to Wade. You wont be disappointed!Thanks guys!

We drove several hours to get a vehicle from Wetzel and the price changed at the last minute in the finance office due what can be best summarized as a calculation mistake by a sales manager.So...be cautious and prepared for any surprises if you are going because of a good deal offered over the phone.Nice salesmen and a great new showroom. Purchased a 2017 civic from here. Staff is wonderful and will do whatever possible to make sure you are satisfied. Their automotive servicing department is fantastic as well. Replaced my wipers and motor for free when a defect was found and gave me a brand new rental while they fixed it.

I have had some poor experiences taking my cars to dealerships for service, but NEVER have I received worse service than at Wetzel Honda.Two weeks ago we took our Honda Civic into Wetzel with 3 problems.1: The trunk/gas latch cable had broken2: The transmission did weird things at running speeds(knocked back into gear after idling to slow down).3: The check engine light was on, I thought an electrical issue because sometime car won’t unlock, and sometimes heat/AC won’t turn on right away, plus it had codes for sensors and relays.A full week, and $300 later(spent $100 on transmission service for a total of $450) they gave us our car back. They claimed that the check engine light had never been on, and that after service the transmission was working fine.I jokingly said “What happens when in 35 miles the computer resets and I have my check engine light back on.” Knowing that it had indeed been on when I gave them the car. They said at that point I would just bring it back.I didn’t even get home before noticing that the car still jolted, and shocker, exactly 35.2 miles from the dealership, my check engine light came back on.So, back into Wetzel we go, where they decide that I now have to pay yet another deductible because they think the jolting is motor related not transmission.Fact of the matter is, I paid good money for them to fix three problems with my car, and left with 2 of those problems persisting. Then, when it came time for them to accept responsibility for not fixing it, they did everything in their power to not do so.I took it there because I expected to get a true Honda experience. What I got was a nightmare.I would NEVER recommend this dealership to ANYONE. If I could give them negative stars, I would.

When I was ready for a new car the first place that I went was Wetzel Honda. I love the idea of supporting local businesses. My first visit was very pleasant, Lauran was amazing and very personable. I had told Lauran exactly what I was wanting, down to the year and color of a car, and gave her my price range.The next day the manager, Chris, called me telling me about an awesome deal he had for me and he could get me in a car that day. However, he lied to me saying that he couldnt discuss numbers over the phone and refused to tell me anything except the interest rate and monthly payment. In fact, he pretended that he did not know the total cost of the car or how long the loan I was approved for was going to last, he said he was not the one with those numbers. After hanging up, I asked Lauran to have the person with the numbers call me. Turns out, that person was Chris, the same guy who had previously said that he was not the one who had the numbers. He again pretended to not be able to tell me the total cost of the car over the phone, I had to tell him that I was not making the drive to his lot without knowing that information... and then he finally told me. The car was $8,000 over what the original budget that I told them I had.A couple of days later I received a text saying that they had just gotten a trade in on the car that I was looking for. Lauran sent me pictures, told me the listing price, super sweet still! She was amazing the whole time. However, I told her that the car looked nice, but I could not afford the price that was listed. I reminded her of my budget and said that I was not going to waste my time nor theirs coming to the lot to look at a car that I knew I could not afford. I then recieved a text saying, Chris says we will take care of you! This is the one. He says when can you be here? Since he had made it clear that he would work with me, and take care of me, I went to the lot. I test drove the car, and when I got inside to discuss numbers, the offer that he gave was the exact same that I had already said no to before I made the drive. I was asked to put out an offer, so I low balled it and made an offer. He says no, and refuses to make an offer. I gave another number, and he again refused to counter my offer at all! He said he would work with me, and then refused to make me any sort of deal or negotiation. Little did he know, I was prepared to pay extremely close to the asking price of the vehicle. However, because of his unwillingness to communicate, negotiate, or keep his word... He lost a sale.I went to CarMax the next day and bought the perfect, same, car at a much cheaper rate! They were so nice and easy to work with. Needless to say, I will not be going back to Wetzel Honda, and I will not be recommending that anyone else go there either.

We drove out here from Indianapolis to look at a Genesis Coupe. Wife had researched the car, mileage she wanted, options she liked, and I used my connections to scrutinize this car before we drove to look at it. With all the info, we determined that we wanted to look at this car to most likely buy it. We had been dealing with Dana, (who was cool by the way) for 3 days prior. We already had our pre-approval from our credit union (to save on time with paperwork and get the best rate possible), and set an appointment to show up on Wednesday night. We arrived at the agreed upon time and test drove the car. We negotiated the first pencil, and agreed on numbers with the second pencil terms (car has summer tires on it, it is currently December with ice on the ground, I was going to split the difference with them on A/S tires of comparable quality to the tires currently on it.)and thought that everything was good. We were ready to sign and finalize the deal. At this point, we had been at the dealership for nearly two hours. Then they wanted us to return another day as there was no finance guys to write the deal. Needless to say, they are an hour and a half drive one way, not happening.I have worked in automotive dealerships and the industry in general for nearly 20 years while being in a management role for quite a bit of it. I have never EVER worked at one dealership where there wasnt at least one F&I person on staff at all times, and that was even at relatively small dealerships. At that rate, why stay open if you cannot make a sale? I have never been to a dealership where the general manager wasnt also trained in finance (and almost always a former finance manager) so they were able to finalize deals in the event of an emergency. To have your sales manager not identify himself to us, continuously come up with excuses why they didnt have a finance guy there for our appointment (excuse was We cannot always trust that a customer will make their appointment), and say that losing a sale (to quote This isnt a big deal to me.) was no skin off their back tells me that they need more customer service training. Remember, we had been there for 2 hours at that point and the sales manager knew we were there negotiating as he was the one doing the penciling. Why couldnt an F&I person be called in when we were doing first pencil and had our form from our bank with the pre-approval and loan terms? Needless to say they have lost a sale on a car that has sat on their lot for over 40 days when we were there just waiting to sign some papers. Seriously?Edit: So after this review and talking with the VP, Nick, we had figured out a way to work out the deal. They had the salesperson, Dana, come to my house tonight (12/20) and deliver the vehicle to us personally. He brought with him the completed finance paperwork and title work for us to sign off on. He drove off with our trade to return back to Richmond upon completion. I appreciate the efforts of Nick, Bill, and of course Dana in making this deal proceed forward and close. I have updated to 4 stars, and will not issue the 5th due to the initial issues created upon our first visit.

Recently purchased a new Honda Accord. They showed me a ton of different options and gave me all of the information I needed without pressuring or steering me towards one or the other. They truly listened to what I said and showed me inventory on what was important to me. The trade-in for my old car was a breeze as well, and they gave me a fair market value for it. Bruce, David, and Wade did a great job and I even got a follow up phone call from David a few days after to make sure I still liked everything. He even offered to assist with setting up the display options to personalize them for me. Great buying experience.

I will never go through Honda ever again and I know a lot of people who already stated they are extremely disappointed and wont be going through them either. My husband unexpectedly passed away of a heart attack at the age of 33 years old. We have 2 small children ages 2 and 6 months old. Due to my circumstances I tried to get out of my lease early because of money issues with 1 income now and they will not grant my request without paying out more money that what I owe on lease over next 10 months. I am very disappointed in this company and will not be leasing ever again through them.

Passing through on our way to Virginia from Minnesota we blew a transmission in Richmond, IN. The Honda dealership was right there and we decided to trade in the old for a newer vehicle. We easily could have been taken advantage of but instead we got a decent deal, and money for our broken down trade, they bought us lunch as paid for our hotel and we went on our way. We had some difficulties with the new car we bought there and when we called, they didnt hesitate to make it right by offering to fix it on our way back through. What we couldnt get fixed they sent us a check for to get fixed when we got home. Great customer service and willingness to work with someone in a difficult sitation

Ive bought two cars from here. I still have them. The staff is pretty friendly but the techs are questionable. I had to take my truck on 4 times for the air conditioner to find it was the condenser, then many more times to have my tire sensor replaced.

Laid back no hassle environmentThis was my first experience with Wetzel Auto. I learned of them through searching the net for a particular vehicle I was looking for, and they happened to have a potential Keeper for me. I was very apprehensive at first, not knowing anyone at the dealer. I live about 15 minutes away. I phoned the dealership to confirm that the vehicle I was interested in was still there, and I spoke with Wade Stinson, who informed me that it in fact was still available. I said Id like to come on in and check it out, and he said, Great. Itll be up front and ready for you when you get here. I cant say enough about Wade as my sales contact. He was outstanding. No slick sales gimmicks, no pressure, no attempts at manipulative ploys. Just great, accomodating service. It sounds like a cliche, but we hit it off like this guys been my buddy for years. And trust me, Im a skeptical type of personality. I ended up purchasing the vehicle I was interested in, for a price that I was comfortable with. No hassles. Just civil, relaxed negotiations. Went in to have my honda accord fixed for the airbag recall. Talked to a salesman named David and told him my finacial situation. He knew I couldnt afford a new car just yet but he took the time show me some cars and answer all my question. I never felt pressured or rushed and after school I plan to take my business to Wetzel Honda.The service team was very accurate in letting me know how long it would take and even washed my car no charge to me.Overall I felt very welcomed by staff members and I would highly recommend Wetzel Honda!!

Thieves. Yes, they will fix your Honda just fine after reaming you with exorbitant diagnostic charges. Committed to paying $95-$100 for diagnostic fee when I left car with them and they replaced whole AC Unit but now it is blowing hot air so they are charging me another $95-$100 for another diagnostic fee. When I asked what the bleep am I paying another diagnostic fee for I was informed it is a separate diagnostic fee for the AC Unit. They get one star because if you can source your part cheaper than their rip off prices which I often can do...and not just aftermarket pieces but genuine honda parts they will install but not warranty the install. They wanted to charge $90 for the whole Idle adjustment unit when all that was really wrong was the screw was bent. I found the screw which is unique to the make, maybe even the model, from another Honda dealer for $12. UPDATE...the $100 Diagnostic fee I paid was for them to find out some hose wasnt hooked up properly to the internal side of the system.....BOHICA BOHICA BOHICA.....THANK YOU WETZWL CAN I HAVE ANOTHER!!!

This is the worst customer service. I worked with David on trying to get a car. My credit and income situation is not ideal. I know this. But the service I received was deplorable.After I test drove a Honda Civic, we went in to get the approval. I was told that they would only send it to a couple of places and if I didnt get approved we would go from there. We waited and did not get approved. I had to go to work so he said he would contact me once they did some discussing.After a couple days of no response I message him asking maybe to lower the price a little and figure out a down payment that would put me in the ball park. I got the reply, we were able to get you approved, just not for that car. We can not lower the price. I then check my credit to see that they sent me to 4 financial institutions without my knowledge. I then sent a message asking to maybe find another vehicle I could get approved for so the credit hit wasnt for nothing. I heard nothing for a week and then I get a message saying sorry we couldnt get you into this car. I was mad at this point because he didnt even bother helping find another car or tell me what I needed to do to get into that one. I messaged him with my frustrations and he replied would you like me to find other vehicles. O said I dont want to have to call you out for you to help me. I dont want your help anymore.He replies DONT BE MAD AT ME FOR YOUR SITUATION . We did what we could for youWHAT?! Then I threatened to blast this on the internet and he then trys to reconcile by offering a name and number to JD Byrider.Inexcusable

I have bought our last 3 vehicles there, have tryed to buy them in Muncie, but never felt like I got a good deal, but have ALWAYS felt good with the deal I got there, you might have to dicker a little, but I have always been happy.
