Editing my review for a third time. Each time it has been 5 stars. Genuinely, if I could give more I would. This most recent visit they went above and beyond and I cant imagine having the same experience somewhere else.Very convenient place to get an oil change. Love that you stay in the car while they do it.Ive also taken my car for its annual inspection twice now. While they do make recommendations for work that needs to be done whether I pass inspection or not I have never felt like they were trying to take advantage of me. Based on my own knowledge of my cars maintenance history and mileage I know they are right. Their prices are also reasonable.

So much for trust in veteran owned business. I sent my son in for s state inspection and they failed several items on his car and quoted over $2000 for repairs. Little did they know that his veteran father knows a thing or two about cars himself. So after replacing several parts on his car, mostly unnecessary, it cost me less than $200. Again, mostly unnecessary. Attached are pics of the lower control arm with superficial cracks. This car had an incredibly smooth ride before any parts replacement. But because they want to try to get some money from my 18 year old son, I had to replace parts that were good for several more miles. These guys are liars and cheats in my opinion. I will never go back to this location.

We had a great experience. Our truck started smelling really bad and the brakes smelt like they were burning. We called and spoke with Willie who was super helpful and professional and got our truck in the shop right away when we got there and got our brakes changed out. Great experience. Love the professionalism in this place. Highly recommend.

Wow, what a great and knowledgable team! I needed an oil change and pulled right up to the garage and was able to sit in my car the whole time. Ruben assisted me, offered me and my partner water bottles, found my account easily and then started changing my oil and topping off my fluids. I also mentioned to him that I was starting to smell other cars through my vents and I just thought the air filtration was off. He checked both my air filter and cabin filter (both of which desperately needed to be changed, they both had leaves in them and were COVERED with dust) and warned me that the cabin filter was going to be more expensive. I appreciated that so much! He then proved to me that my oil had definitely been changed, went over some maintenance that I will need soon and sent me on my way. Super nice, helpful, respectful and knowledgeable team and I definitely recommend them. I will be coming back!

Another great experience! Business has obviously picked up for them since last year, as they no longer offer walk-in state inspections, but I scheduled an appt for an oil change and inspection for the following week, and had it completed today. I can’t recall the lady that did the oil change, but she was very efficient and did a great job of communicating during the oil change. Billy performed the inspection, was very professional, did a great job of explaining everything. I had an 11AM appt, and it was pretty busy, and I was driving off at 12. I highly recommend this place!

First I would like to say, I was greeted by one of the friendliest people Sean. Sean listened to my concerns about my check engine light being on. He made a suggestion of checking out before doing the oil change. He came back with the machine explained what came up. Confirmed the reading with another text. Felix I believe. They both told me not to stress out. Every thing is fine. Cleared the codes and she’s good to go. Now the service didn’t stop there. A technician named Quess did my oil change. Professional informative and service with a smile . Awesome location!!!

Made me feel comfortable, safe, hygienic, and the oil change was the quickest for the best price (for me, compared to my toyota dealer & jiffy lube; I use synthetic oil for my Toyota Corolla) You get to pull up & sit in your car while they service it and do a multi-point inspection. We’ve been using them to service all of the vehicles in our family do several years. Recently the AC broke in my car. Because I didn’t realize they worked on ACs, I took it to a competitor for an estimate. I was told that my compressor had a hole and needed to be replaced. The estimate was $1000. When I brought it to Express, they told me that there was no hole and that it was a $100 fix. And that’s after I told them about the estimate I received. Going forward, they will be the only place that I go to for vehicle maintenance. In an industry that has a reputation for its dishonesty, this is a business that I know that I can trust.

I have been coming here for quick oil changes for about 6 or 7 years without any problems.... until now... I went for an oil change on my jeep on 8/9/21 and when the lady who was working on my car finished, I turned the car on and there was no oil pressure. The lady told me that she did not know why I did not have any oil pressure and assured me that it was a problem with my engine and nothing she did. I had her pull the dipstick out which was full/clean, so I went home to troubleshoot. After about a week and a half I could not figure out what the problem was, so I got in my vehicle to drive it a shop and my car started smoking. Thankfully I was passing an Advanced Auto so I pulled into the parking lot and popped my hood to see what was wrong. As you can see from the pictures, Express Oil snapped the oil sending unit off my engine and it was spitting oil all over my engine/exhaust system and all over the road. I ended up buying a new unit at Advanced Auto and replacing it myself in the parking lot.Take this as a warning - if you value your vehicle and do not want a bunch of amatures working on your car, just take it to a reputable mechanic like Allen Tire for your routine mainetenece. I cannot believe Express Oil let me leave their facility after showing them my oil pressure guage, but here we are. Hopefull my engine did not suffer any permenant damage. 1 out of 5 stars. If I could leave them zero stars, trust me, I would. Unbelievable.

I took my car for rotor repair. I told the gentleman I was walking to get something to eat since he said the repair could talk 2.5 hours. When I returned, they were closed. No call, no text. My car locked inside on Saturday evening and they dont reopen until Tuesday morning.. How do I get home? To work?

Great customer service. Everyone is always friendly. Dropped my car off on a Friday night for a 2pm appointment for State Inspection on the following Saturday and it was done by 9:30am with no gimmicky reasons for them to charge me more than needed.

Quick on the oil change. Hooked up the control to read the codes and reset at no additional charge.Put addictive in differential that I supplied. Great guys.

The heat had stopped working adequately in my Jeep Wrangler. I stopped in on a whim...just to inquire about the cost of a flush. I was greeted quickly by an employee and also by the manager, Will. They had my coolant system flushed and the heat working in less than two hours. Of special note...I am female and always leery of being taken to the bank for automotive services. Ladies, nothing to fear here. Thank you Express Oil for making my day. You now have a forever loyal customer.

I took my car here after my AC Compressor pulley came off my car. I was to the car would be finished the next day. The next day come and I get a call that it wont be ready for another 2 or 3 days cause they not sure went the part will be there. They wouldnt even knock some of the price off the 560.00 to fix it like really Im missing days from work!!!! If I had known this before I took it to them I couldve looked other places and might have gotten a better deal. If I could move the car I would take it somewhere else.

I have taken my car here since i purchased it almost 4 years ago. The staff always take care of me and recommend services i need and don’t try to force me to get unnecessary repairs or purchases.

Guys are great, work fast and service quality is high. You may be able to find a less expensive option, but not with the same convenience factor of staying in your car. I also purchased a tire here - they were able to quickly locate what I needed when Costco and Tires Direct couldnt. Tire price was in line with others.

Everything was awesome except the wanted to not put oil in that I wanted my car call for full synthetic but can use 10w 30 and they wanted to say they couldnt do it but they did it so I do appreciate the service just dont argue with customer about what oil they want

Staff was prompt and friendly. I got the oil change. They were knowledgeable of a typical cars needs. Gave some suggestions and offered to top off all fluids. Great location and I will definitely go to this location again.

Always fast with the oil change. Scheduled an inspection and that process was fast but their estimates for repairs were a little high.

I had my wife take her car here for an oil change last month since I was too busy to do it myself. Just the other day I got in it to drive it and noticed the engine was knocking pretty badly. I checked the oil and lo and behold: there was none. The small amount remaining was black. I had a trusted mechanic check the engine out to be sure the engine wasnt damaged, altho time will only tell for sure. I wish I could trust lube techs and tire shops to do basic oil changes, but between this and horrible experiences with Jiffy Lube in the past, I would rather do it myself or take it to my mechanic.

I always take my car here to get the oil changed and for inspections. Professional service and quality customer care as always. They are efficient and get you in and out in about 15 minutes. Will G took care of me today and I couldnt be a more satisfied customer. From the moment I pulled my vehicle up, he was smiling and engaged with his fellow coworkers. You could easily tell he truly enjoys his job and it was written all over his face. From now on when I go back I will personally ask for Will if he is available! I dealt with a young man by the name of Chris and Chris is GREAT!! He’s extremely intelligent, he’s friendly, he’s knowledgeable, he’s a people person and he knows his stuff! He’s always so happy and helpful when I come in. Usually, I dread oil changes but Chris’ attitude makes them something I look forward to. One thing I appreciate most about Chris is how I can ask him any hypothetical situation and he’ll have the the answers for you and if he doesn’t know, he won’t say he doesn’t know, he will go find the answer for you. If you’re in the area, definitely ask for Chris. You will NOT be disappointed.

Four mechanics later, boom finally fixed!Ive taken my vehicle to the Ford dealer to repair this problem at which time they told me it would cost three times what I paid herewith additional things needing to be done that werent necessary. So I found an alternative mechanic who I had trusted for years with other vehicles, and he had supposedly repaired this problem, but a year after that visit the problem returned.I took it to the 3rd mechanic who just went off the engine code and replaced a minor part the code had alerted to. That did not fix the problem. I dealt with it for a couple more years. Bogging out at lights sometimes, and sort of running erratically when it was cold.Finally I decided to get this repaired once and for all and really researched for a mechanic in my area with great reviews that was owned by professional local individuals, and I came across Express that fit the billIll obviously be adding to those five star reviews because with Express they repaired this issue. My vehicle is running better than it has in years and as it did after each of the other attempts to repair this.Express says that trust, honesty and respect is who they are, and thats what I found, and what theyll get from me is my trust loyalty and respect.

I trust them to make recommendations on maintaining our cars and they have always been willing to share their advice.

Super personable and offered to have his manager Will come look at my car for some engine issues I was having. Will was super knowledgeable, gave my car a good looking over, and even offered me to bring it back and run further diagnostics when I had more time. My dealership wouldnt even give my car that kind of attention. Will definitely be going here for my car needs. LOVE this place! They have worked on 3 of my cars and are always helpful! They never oversell you and the customer service is great. Will G and Kevin most recently helped me with my new (used) car that I was getting error /maintenance messages on. Found out the dealer that sold it to me had tried to retro fit the oil pan into it (it was not a local dealership). I was basically running it with no oil as it had all leaked out of the engine! great work guys you are a life saver!

My wife and I are so happy when we got to Richmond, a friend has told us to take our vehicles here. I couldnt agree more. Last 2 years we have been going here.These guys take pride in helping you. I have had some issues with my Jeep Patriot and some of it would have been extremely costly at other places. They are honest about what is needed to fix your vehicle without taking your money. Like I said there are times the Jeep needs work and the mechanics look it over like if their spouse, significant other, or kids are driving the vehicles. That to me shows they actually care about the customer and not just wanting to take your money. I have never had a bad experience there with any of the mechanics. These guys were fantastic. Following a phone call, I went for a state inspection and found all of them friendly and approachable. It was a nice change from the previous mechanic shop I had worked with for years. Anyway, their shop was clean and had a comfortable waiting area. I will go back particularly since they are vet owned and operated.

Nathan and Elijah were wonderful. Elijah was super helpful with the oil in my car. Both were very warm, kind, and hilarious to talk to. Good customer service is hard to find. You can’t beat it. This is exactly why I drive out of the city to Midlo for you guys because your service just can’t be matched.

Ive been a happy customer of this Express Oil Change for several years, but this week they (and particularly Nathan) really went above and beyond. My daughters battery died 2 blocks from Express, and Nathan stopped what he was doing to drive over and jump it for me. He then tested and replaced the battery, made sure the starter and alternator were fine, and took care of a couple of other small repairs Id been putting off for a while--all between mid-afternoon one day and 9:30 am the next and all for a very reasonable price.
