I have gotten several beautiful pieces of furniture restored here and Michael is fantastic at what he does. My favorite piece is a bookshelf I use for glasses! It has beautiful little details and original glass. The items youll find there are of the highest quality and unique as well. They do repair work or you can purchase something new to you!

I initially had a positive feeling from Mike about his abilities to fix an antique chest-of-drawers. The drawers werent going in and out smoothly, and he said he could fix it. We took it by his shop, and he gave us a quote.When we went to pick it up, we checked out the drawers, and they were still not moving in and out smoothly. He said he would take care of it. We went a second time, excited that it would be fixed, and it was only slightly better.Then, when I was taking a closer look at home, one of the drawer stops had not been properly glued, and just fell off. When I called the next day, he offered to come by our house to glue it back, but at that point, I told him Id decided to do it myself. A few of the stops that did stay glued on werent even the right size, and the drawers still go further in that theyre supposed to. He said he put in the same size as the original stops (but who cares, because that still didnt make it right!).He told me that expecting perfection in dealing with antiques isnt realistic, and that if I was expecting perfection, then I shouldnt have any. WOW! He refused to give us any of our money back, and then HE HUNG UP ON ME!I DO NOT recommend this man to do any furniture work.

Michael Sperberg is a true professional. I have bought many pieces from him and he has repaired many pieces for my whole family. My favorite thing I have from his store is a beautiful brass lion head door knocker which I have had for almost 30 years. Michael told me it was from a castle in Europe. It is just as shiny today as the day I got it. I would highly recommend Vintage Antiques. Lovely pieces and excellent restoration service.

Mike is excellent at what he does. He knows his antiques and how to correctly restore an old piece of furniture to make it look like new. I have known and used Mikes for repairs and refinishing of furniture for years.Best place in Richmond area for furniture repairs.

Mike at Vintage Antique and Art Co. is the most experienced furniture restorer I know of in South Richmond. Hes great at veneer repair, tightening loose chairs, all types of caning, and general cosmetic and structural restoration on vintage, mid-century, and antique furniture. Hes been doing this for over 40 years, so whatever your piece needs, hes probably done it before. I operate a vintage store nearby, and I refer clients to him on a weekly basis. Sometimes he can be hard too reach by phone, but his work is worth a few callbacks.

I’ve used Mike on a few different occasions. He always does the work better then expected and has a nice attitude. I would definitely recommend his services.

My children and I stopped by this store after church and my older son was looking at a bucket of loose seashells. This older gentleman comes from the back of the store and says, DONT TOUCH, PLEASE!!!!, THIS IS NO PLACE FOR CHILDREN!!!!. Ok, if he didnt want children in his store he should have a sign specifying that. I will never recommend this store to anyone that I know, nor will I ever patronize this establishment. I hardly consider a bucket of dusty seashells an antique/vintage item.
