I was trapped on the elevator today when the door closed behind me when grabbing my items. There is no release latch from the inside so there was no way out. I called the front desk 10 times and left 2 messages and no one answered. I was forced to call the fire department after 20 minutes, when they arrived with the employee working he accused me of “riding on the elevator, which is physically impossible since I am 1 person and the button is on the outside. The employee then asked “you got a problem with me and attempted to fight me but was stopped by the fire fighters” I called to speak with a manager but he said he is the manager. I have video of the door closing, between that & the impossibility of being able to “ride it” I am going to seek further info on a possible lawsuit. This place has been a joke since I got a unit here

Megan was so helpful getting us set up with the unit that best suited our needs. She informed me everything that I might need to know. She made the process easy.

My storage was broken into and the way this was handled was upsetting to say the least. With how much this company charges to storage and protect items you would think that customer service and security would be top priorities but sadly they are not. I had put in a request for them to change the locking mechanism months ago because the integrity of the lock was obviously compromised. They failed to follow through with my request and my unit was targeted because of that. If you are thinking about storing with them please consider another place for your safety and peace of mind. I dont want other people going through the frustration with the lack of compassion and customer service that Erik, the manager, has for the people and items that he should care about.

Megan is a wonderful and very helpful customer rep she deserves 11 stars but I can only give her 5 stars please go there for all your storage needs I am sure you will be as delighted as I am thx.

The process to rent a storage unit and move in was great! I had no issues there. My issue is that it seemed like whenever I needed to speak with someone in the office, no one was there, despite them claiming to be open every day of the week. I came to clean my storage unit out and return the lock and key on a Saturday, but no one was in the office and the phone went unanswered. So I decided to try the next weekend. I scheduled a move out online, and the website told me to stop in the office to wrap things up and talk about any possible credits being issued. But once again, when I went to the office, no one was there and no one answered the phone. It sucks when they say their hours are 9:30-5 on Saturday and Sunday, but no one is there when you need them at 10:30. A.M.

Person on the phone is very professional and informative and Ive Hattie storage space at Public Storage and I always got treated decently and they work with you to pay your bill in hard times and give you many chances to get caught up instead of being one month behind and losing all your s*** like Lock Up storage did in Minneapolis. Manager at the time Chris need to stop being so constipated but acting friendly so I will never rent anything from lockup ever again.

We have been renting storage space here for 6 years and now starting to empty our unit and finding large amounts of MICE DROPPINGS. The lights are operated by motion sensors. Our unit is half way down the hall, after 5 minutes of looking for something the lights turn off, then it takes someone to walk all the way down the hall to get the lights back on.

I rented a storage faithfully from these people for over 5 years. They changed management of this facility and the management is LAZY and did not document my leaving storage as was posted on website and with incompetent new manager. They sent me to collections for a bill on an EMPTY storage because I moved out and notified them online and while talking with new incompetent personnel. DO NOT RISK YOUR CREDIT OR TIME DISPUTING!!

I have had a storage unit at the Richfield location for over 2 years. Linda has been so wonderful to work with. She is personable and caring... a true asset to your Company. The facility is well kept and maintained, and very reasonably priced. I would highly recommend!

Access code wouldnt let me in, and the stairs are broken so I had to walk the long way around the building. 🤬 The last 3 times Ive been there has been a bad experience.

Linda was extremely helpful in answering my questions and showing the location on Monday June 23rd. Was happy to see my storage unit clean with a small rodent deterrent pack in the corner. A lot of improvements have been made since I last used Public Storage in 2011 in Saint Paul. The office was clean and professional. The high fencing, solid door mechanisms, locks and strong access gates give me peace of mind for the storage of my belongings. I Will tell everyone of my great experience.

Moving and storing was made dramatically easy because of Linda and the crew at Public Storage, Richfield. I chose this location because they had a move in special that got my attention. When the time came and I was ready to vacate my storage unit, I needed boxes and tape. I was able to get both from the store thats in the office. Easy, hassle free experience. Thanks again Linda. Very poor lighting, a few stair Wells had zero lights and required a flashlight. No elevator to the 2nd floor. Its in a shady neighborhood so lighting is extremely important which this place was limited on. I do not recommend to anyone disabled or anyone that is vulnerable.

After some issues with the Public Storage on 81st, I moved my storage needs to this facility and it was a breeze! In & out on the first day in a short time and the property manager was great! Appreciate all the flexibility and help!

I have always found the staff, Linda especially & Andrew most recently, to be very kind and helpful; they are very good people to work with. The facility is kept up; gates, doors and elevators work. I never had any pest problems in my unit. Overall, I had a very good & pleasant experience with my storage rental at this location, nothing bad to report at all. The location is also, of course, very convenient.

If you’re looking a storage unit, look no further! Richfield Public Storage will take care of ALL of your needs! I’ve had a unit there for over 3 years and have had nothing but great experience with them. They offer many different sizes, and competitive rates! The property manager here, Linda, is by far the nicest lady you’ll ever meet! She’s so kind and always ready to help with any of my needs! Highly recommend them!

Great storage with helpful staff like Linda. She really helped us out when we were in a rush to get our units cleaned out by the end of the month. Very easy to finish things up at the end of the contract.Melissa was also fantastic in giving us our options when we signed up. She made us aware of a great deal with an option we were not aware of. Units are kept up well and everything is very clean. It is not too busy most of the time, but they know how to manage things when it is busy, so you can get to your unit. We would definitely use this facility again if we need to store anything. Very, very friendly.

I rented a new storage unit from this Public Storage location this morning and am very pleased with the entire experience. I first found them online and priced out the unit that worked for me and their online pricing is great right now. I reserved the unit and was called by location personnel in minutes to schedule a time to go in and finalize the lease. I drove straight over and was out there in minutes after having a look at the space. The staff Andrew and Linda were friendly, knowledgeable and efficient.

I have rented a unit 3 times now at the Richfield location and have had nothing but great service! Linda is wonderful, kind and helpful with whatever you may need. She remembers her returning clients and that is a huge plus in the customer service area as far as Im concerned! I would recommend this storage facility to anyone in the area who is looking for a unit.

Extremely rude employees. Carts are padlocked and have to be requested. If you need one after 5/6pm, you cant get one. Rooms are nice and climate controlled. Parking is difficult during peak hours. Units are expensive. This place used to be great when it was under different mgmt.

Linda, is absolutely fabulous, she’s always called letting us know when we are running into a late payment, always called us when new offers were available which was a great bc we were always saving money. She is great and has always offered great customer service. Highly recommend this location.

I made an unplanned move in a very short time frame and Melissa made everything so easy and quick. The store had everything I needed in stock and at a reasonable price so I could set up, unload my stuff and get on with my life. The day after I put things into storage, Melissa called me to tell me there was a problem with the way I had installed my lock, causing my unit to be left unsecured. She said she would be monitoring my door on her cameras until I could get there to fix it. She greeted me at the entrance when I stopped by after work and made sure I knew what to do. I feel very confident that my things will be safe there until I have a new place to keep them.

Moving, downsizing, finding a place for your stuff while your in limbo can give you anxiety and stress. Linda at Public Storage is like a ray of shine shine. She takes the time to show you the units make sure your getting what you need with what items you have. She takes away the worries. She is so friendly and kind. It made the stress of moving that much lighter. She is a great asset and I hope Public Storage franchise in Richfield knows what a valuable employee she is.

Just toured my storage unit and had a great experience. Andrew at the Richfield MN location was patient and answered all of my many questions. He went over and beyond; showed me an additional larger option for storage when I said I was worried that my belongings wouldn’t fit. Talked me through the move in day and made sure I had additional supplies for moving. I feel relieved that my belongings are with a location that has employees who care.

I had a great experience at this location. Linda was outstanding! Her customer service skills are definitely above and beyond expectations. I was about to travel the next day and had a very long and busy day, I came to the office 10 minutes before closing time and Linda was very patient and helpful. She stayed after hours to finish up paperwork and walked with me outside to show me the location of my unit and how to access the gate. It is common for employees to rush things around closing time but Linda took her time and made sure all my needs are met in a very professional manner. I would definitely recommend this location and Linda in particular to my friends and anyone else.

It was a great place to store things over the past eight years. However, the cost from 2011 to this year, was highway robbery. The cost went up $61.00 in eight years. Starting at $54 and paying $111.00. That is crazy. Glad we got rid of that expense.

Every time I went to the storage unit, she always smiles an waves. again this place is clean, secure, easy to use, and the prices are in line with what youll find anywhere in the city.
