My wife and I are on a road trip and the chain on her F700GS gave out way earlier than expected so we needed new sprockets and a chain installed. I called on a Friday and talked to Zack, asking about parts availability and getting on the service schedule. To my very pleasant surprise, Zack said he would fit me in the next day as they like to accommodate out-of-town travelers. Not only that, he was willing to sell me his personal parts he had bought for this F800GS but never installed. In the end they didnt work out due to gearing but it gets better. He informed that Dennis Kirk in Rush City had a pick-up counter so I could order the correct parts for the bike, pick them up first thing Saturday morning and bring them in so they could do the service! Wow. Whens the last time a dealer told you you could bring your own parts? Outstanding. I was just floored by Zack and the dealership going above and beyond to get us back riding.Customer service does not get any better than this. So, big shout out to Zack and the guys at BMW Motorcycles of Richfield. Thanks again Zack :-).

Above and beyond great service and price They let me come in during a 10k mile road trip when I had to make an almost emergency stop for a chain that was about to fall off. Couldn’t wait for parts because I still had 15k miles to get back home, and one of the guys from the shop sold me the chain and sprocket he was going to use for his personal bike. The kicker is they did the exact same thing for another guy a couple of days earlier. Great shop, great people.

My first experience with buying a BMW motorcycle couldnt have been more easy. The BMW team I have worked with (Peter, Zach, & Traci) to purchase, service, & do some after-market changes couldnt have been more helpful as I get adjusted to my new riding experience. Love my bike, and love visiting with the folks at BMW Motorcycles of Richfield!

Recently brought in my 800GS for an oil change and checkup before a trip out West. During the inspection they found a significant issue with my brake caliper. Unfortunately, due to the limited timeframe to my departure getting a new part in time was going to be a challenge. Zach indicated he had an 800GS as well and would be willing to pull the caliper off his bike and put on mine so that I would not miss my trip. AMAZING ! Talk about going above and beyond. Best BMW motorcycle shop in the Minneapolis area ! My new Go To shop

Not to mention the service department who was taking appointments a month out, rushed my service to the front of the line knowing I was on a tight schedule.Great guys all around & totally professional. I stored my BMW with Richfield BMW last fall and had them do the 18k service while there. I called in the beginning of March to get my bike back and I did not get my bike back until April 30th. Two months. The bike overheated three miles from my house on the first ride. It was 1 1/2 quarts low on coolant. This was serviced by their master tech. I also had an appointment for a Ducati to have the timing belts checked. They had the bike for six weeks. They informed me of a recall on the fuel pump for the BMW so I scheduled an appointment to have it replaced. I was assured this would be done while I waited. It would take 1 to 1 1/2 hours to do. I brought the bike there, on time and waited for the work to be done. An hour and a half later it was sitting in the same spot in the parking lot. Had not been touched. I was informed that the tech had called in sick. They could possibly get my bike in soon. I left! Do not go here! These people have no respect for your time. They also do questionable work judging by the low coolant on a 28 thousand dollar bike.

Interesting store in comparison to other motorcycle dealers in the cities. Probably 20-25 new bikes and 15 or so pre owned bikes. BMW is a different animal than your traditional dealer. Came to buy an R18 Classic. Now the customer is always right saying isnt fully true, but when the customer is looking at a specific bike, drove an hour to see this specific bike, and the salesman thinks you should buy a different one... The customer is right. At one point, I asked him if the bike had remote start which some motorcycles do. He proceeded to yell at the bike START!....... This is just an example of his unprofessionalism. I honestly still wanted the bike, but since I arrived late and they closed for the fourth of july until Tuesday I had to wait 2 days for them to reopen. During those 2 days I just kept getting more and more annoyed at how he acted. Pushing me to not buy that bike. What a waste of my time.

Dealing with BMW Richfield was great. I live 220 miles from this dealership and when I wanted to test drive a bike there was no messing around. I test drove the Grand America and bought it a week later. I dealt with Zach mostly but everybody else at the dealer was also very helpful with any questions I had and when I came in and needed fluids for my first service they all worked together to get all the parts I needed. Highly recommend this dealer. They are making it easy for me when I live so far away. Thanks!!

The level of service is outstanding. It is hard to find true hospitality and service in anything these days. I really appreciate their attention to detail and willingness to work with your schedule. I did not even have BMW on my mind as a possible bike choice. I was originally looking at Honda CRF 300L rally, Kawasaki klx 300 sm, Ducati Scrambler sixty2 and Husqvarna svartpilen 401. After browsing for a bit John asked if I needed assistance. He listened to my wants and needs then showed me a bike. This bike fit my check list, in my price range and a great suggestion. I went back to test drive with my gear, at a time that worked for me, followed by paper work again at a time that worked for me. John really puts the guest first and it shows. He also is very knowledge in the history of BMW and even showed me the progression of the bike model I got throughout the years. Eric was quick and organized with the paperwork. Zak is very personable and helpful with finding the right gear that will work for you. Peter is hilarious to chat to on the sales floor. If you are in the market for a new bike check them out. If you are a new rider check out the perks they offer. If you live close by they even offer bike drop off. I have told all my friends already and can’t wait to go back.

Absolutely horrible experience with this dealership. I purchased a motorcycle from them 2 1/2 months ago in good faith thinking I would get my license tabs. There has been zero communication from the dealership to me the purchaser about what’s going on. I have called them numerous times asking for another 21 day permit or some legal way for me to ride the motorcycle I purchased from them. Everyone who works there is extremely rude when I called asking questions.Still have not gotten anywhere with this situation.I sure hope no one else purchases a motorcycle through them because they’re going to run into this exact same situation where they take your money and run.I’m not the type to go post something like this I never have in the past either. This is just something that I really feel everyone should take note of and definitely think twice about purchasing from them. There’s other dealerships out there that will take care of them. This dealership is doomed to fail… spend your money elsewhere would be my advice

So I’m riding my 2009 BMW R1200RT from my old home in California to my new home in Wisconsin. Awesome ride through California, Nevada, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, South Dakota and finally Minnesota where on I-90 just before Adrian MN one of the 5 throttle cables break. After a livid exchange with AAA regarding their total lack of customer service and the help of the friendly people of Adrian Towing and Repair, I make my way right Seat in a Ford F-650 tow car to Richfield. You see, the other BMW Guys in the area only saw problems with my plea for help (the nearest part you need is in Germany, no I can’t let you have a loaner, ...).When I called Richfield the answer was different. Let me see what I can do! Make your way here and by the time you get here we will have a solution. Truth ! By the time I get there, John the General Manager comes out and tells me he has a spare cable available from another bike. It would be just an hour or so to install it. But after hearing my story he comes up with a better idea. As it is my birthday the next day, why not treat yourself ? To a newer or new bike perhaps? He writes up an offer on a brand spanking new R1250RT that no sane person could refuse. Throw in the GPS at cost and ship me a complimentary 3rd suitcase when they become available. Ship my excess bagage that I can’t take because my old bike had a 3rd suitcase for free. Get me 0.9% financing through BMW. Get me a reasonable trade in value on the old bike (even better because it needed new tires and a vacuum pump, and a fix of the windshield raiser). So a couple of hours later I leave with Justin Beemer the 2nd between my legs. I got John’s cell phone number which is great because a couple of hours into my final ride home I need to fill up. But how to open that tank? A quick text to John saves the night.I could not be better treated by the folks at BMW Motorcycle of Ritchfield MN. John, as well as Deborah who arranged the financing and Travis the tech, all made sure I was in tip top shape for my first long ride.On the way home I could not wipe that grin of my face. Even some truckers playing East Rider with me for a while couldn’t change my mood ...

I have never been all that impressed with a motorcycle shop, be it their sales people or service department, until now. BMW Motorcycles of Richfield began impressing me the moment I walked in. I had done so to ask about some part #s I was confused about. Long story short, even though I didn’t come in riding the latest and greatest BMW (2003 F650 GS), I was treated like a respected fellow enthusiast and they cared about the questions I had. Not once was I asked to upgrade or buy anything. I simply got the expert advice I needed, with a smile. If that wasn’t enough, a month later I get a call that my bike had a minor recall repair they wanted to look at; free of charge. During that visit, I felt like I got the royal treatment. It was important to them that my wait be as nice as possible.I really appreciate Alix’s personal help and his attitude that a good relationship is way more important than selling me something. I’ll gladly give them my business any time I can.

Im glad that others have had a satisfactory experience at this dealership however, that has not been the case for me.I purchased a used motorcycle from them in the spring. I didnt receive my tabs after over a month so I went back in to see why. They told me that the state was backed up. But then they amended my paperwork indicating that they had never submitted my info in the first place. Then, I noticed that the bike was badly leaking gas from one of the carbs. I contacted the shop and the guy on the phone said that it was known that the bike had carb issues PRIOR to them selling it to me. He then arranged to have it picked up and brought to the dealership. That was THREE WEEKS AGO!! Over the past three weeks I have never had anyone from the dealership contact me. I have had to reach out to them. Yesterday they said that my carbs had been rebuilt but they were waiting on a part in order to install them. When asked for a time frame they said they didnt know and to call back in two days. Not that they would contact me but that I needed to yet again reach out to them. This has been the absolute worst buying experience I have had on any level in my 38 years. I will not only never purchase again from this company but the BMW brand will forever be tainted because of the failure of customer service and priority I have experienced.Buyer beware!!!!
