If you don’t want to pay the high costs of a dealership or even shops like those really “happy” boys, then this is the place to take your vehicle. The turnaround is reasonable, along with he prices. Really great owner and staff. Been taking my vehicle(s) to them for 10 years now. My old SUV died on me one night and I was able to catch them before they closed, and had the tow truck bring it there, in 2 days I had it back and running great. Another time and different SUV, I had to have some maintance done, and the dealership wanted to charge me 1500, they charged me 300. Take it to J&A Auto, you won’t be disappointed.

First time customer with J&A. They replaced my damaged headlight and daytime running light in a very timely manner for my 2018 Hyundai Sonata. Their team is great at answering the phone and updating you regarding the part(s) you ordered.

J & A is the BEST! How anyone could rate them lower than 5 stars is beyond me. Ive been taking my vehicles to them for 15+ years. And they have ALWAYS given me more than I expected, for less than I expected, quicker than I expected.

They will fix your problem with less cost than other(use cheapest chinese parts) but they will make another issue or damage of your car so you will come to them again to fix.if you go to their shop to repair you have go over there again within couple of months. Please be aware of this.dont trust this guys.they will keep repair your car.at the end of the year your actual repair cost will be high and your car will be trash soon.

Great place to get auto work done

Have been going here since 98 and have never had anything negative happen with 6 different vehicles. The auto zone and O’rileys on Jupiter both suggest this shop as well. The latest car they have done work on for me is a convertible Mercedes. They are very honest and fair in price.

This place is the best. Not only is service above and beyond, the prices are excellent.

These are the most honest and trustworthy mechanics in the area. All their prices are fair, the get work done quickly and they do it right the first time. Most of my family uses them without any reason to look anywhere else. They found the source of an oil leak two other mechanics could not for me.

However, if youre on the hunt for honest work at a fair price, J & A is your spot. These guys will address the specific issue youve brought your car in for without trying to up-sell unnecessary additional services. In the car repair industry, its refreshing not having to worry about turning on ones BS detector. The only cons of the place is its dingy wood paneled waiting room as well as not exactly being a customer service oriented business. I can overlook both if it means trusting the guys working under the hood of my car.

Honest, very quick service, very high quality work. Staff is very nice and has much much more reasonable prices compared to anything else I have found.Really knows his stuff. Came in with an issue, thought I knew the problem, he told me he wouldnt waste his money on doing that but something else needed to be fixed only instead. Literally talked me out is a repair I thought I needed and was 100% willing to pay for, fixed the problem for good and cheaper overall.

I rarely ever write reviews, but I am so relieved to have found a trustworthy and quality auto shop, that I feel its the least I could do for J&A.Based on other reviews I brought my car in a few days ago with a repair that would have easily cost 2-3x what I paid at J&A (based on what others were saying on forums), and everything was perfect. They drove me to work after I dropped it off at 8:30am, and I was able to pick it up at lunch.I am writing this now after I just took my girlfriends car in today! Another success because of J&A. Highly recommend this shop.

Brought our car here after it was diagnosed at a dealership. The dealership wanted $1200 for just one of the repairs that needed to to be done. Diep fixed that problem plus a couple of other problems for $750 total. He was upfront about pricing and kept in communication with us about the repairs. He seems very knowledgeable and got straight to business. We will definitely trust him with any future car repairs we have!

Literally, you can trust Diep which is the most important thing I look for in a mechanic. He diagnoses quickly - sometimes instantly - due to his experience and knowledge. Hes recommended not to work on one of my cars because it would be cost prohibitive. Nothing is more convincing of trust than when he convinces me to put my money back in my pocket!

I dont ever write review but I think I am starting to now. Especially with this place! This morning I saw this place during my lunch break. And I needed air on my tires and decided to stop in. Well I pulled up then got out of the car to ask if they do free air on tires.... Well no one responded and I thought they didnt hear me. One guy came up and started getting ready to put air on my tires. The other guy told me that they have free air in gas stations. I didnt say anything. Then he walked by me and told me to my face, so next time you can go do it yourself WOW!!... I dont think I have ever had bad service like this! I asked a question, and all he had to say is no or there is a fee!! Dont worry I wont come anymore. JUST FYI THERE ARE PLACES WHERE THEY DO FREE AIR!

Came here with a no start issue on my f150, thinking I had the problem diagnosed from our local ford dealership I decided to buy the parts from Ford and come to JandA as I was referred to them. After taking a look at my vehicle, they were able to properly diagnose the issue at NO COST and were honest. Ford had sold me a part for $300 and the plan was to come here for repair only, but after diagnosis the part I really needed was only $120 and they adviced me to go back to ford. Got a refund and returned here and the job took no longer than 30min. And were able to do it on the spot. Really appreciate their honesty and quality of work. Will be returning to them whenever I have any issues. Highly recommend this facility as they are reasonable on pricing, honest, and have multiple mechanics to provide extremely fast service!

I have a Kia Rio and I went and dropped off my car with them this morning at 8:30 am and he went and checked under the hood for two hours to make sure everything was working. Everything was and he did not charge me for his time. He told me that the computer would have to be updated and that it would cost me around $150 when I was ready to do it. I was just very pleased. My friend came with me and asked them to look at her bumper because it was loose on the sides and the auto mechanic pushed the bumper back in place and got a screwdriver and tightened everything up in probably 5 minutes at no charge. That was very kind of him to do that.

After driving our 1999 Honda from VA we took it by for a check up and to have the splash guard removed since it was dragging on the road. Splash guard was taken care of and car was said to be fine. TWO DAYS later the radiator hose bursts on 75. One month later the transmission needs flushing and the splash guard is still dragging. Glad we found a new place.

Those mechanics are nice but the owner is rude. I was there to change my struts and he recommended me to replace the brake light switch. I told him I would do it next time because I had to go. And he bragged about why I had to suffer driving a car like mine.

I used to go there for all my car problems, but no more. They are rude. Went to see about getting an oil change and they saw me and ignored me. Then I start seeing them eat lunch at a table, then someone finally came out anf told me come back next week, no oil change. Really?? The next time i went back Diep told me to go next door to Kwik. I did and will continue to do so. They are nice at kwik and never turn me away. Never going to J & A Auto again.

The workers fine, but their boss is real evil crook, using deceptive tactics, he replaced my A/C just to find out later when I came back to claim that the new installed A/C is not working, he said, oh, the relay needs to be replaced! I just spend$800 instead just to replace relay !

These guys are the best! I went there knowing that my car needed CV axle and suspecting that it needed a wheel bearing as well. They took it on a quick road test and confirmed that the bearing too was bad. They fixed both issues for less than the amount that other shops wanted just to fix the CV axle. I dropped the car off at around 10am and it was done by 12:30. Its an old car (2000 Mazda Millenia) but if you know anything about this particular model you know that it is a pain to work on. I would HIGHLY recommend them for anyone needing work done!

I wouldnt recommend these people to anyone I took my car there because my AC wasnt blowing cool air and every time you put freon in it it leaks out. I advise him that I want to see where it was leaking from and I had a warranty on it I just wanted it diagnose. He told me that he didnt find a leak which is a lie and that he recommend me spend 100 dollars to do a AC check up and that should last me weeks. So he put the freon and it and it was out the next day. Why would you take my money knowing that what you did wasnt going to fix the problem. I took to another person down the street and they immediately told me it was a leak and every time your freon is not staying then it a leak somewhere. Very upset with the people.

I love this place. They are completely honest. At 105k, brought my new(to me) civic to him to change the timing belt. He(Diep) called me shortly after i dropped it off to tell me that the belt was new and it didnt need a new one. Charged me for the 30 minutes of work it took him to figure that out and that was it. Cant imagine a single mechanic doing that. He did all the basic maintenance(all it ever needed) up until I donated it at 317k miles. Now I travel 45 miles from Denton for them to take care of my newer model civic and wifes equinox. Cannot give enough positive reviews for him.

Do only what needs to be done - great vibe

Woke up this morning to a dead battery. Got a jump and took my Equinox to Auto Zone and when I took the cover off the bad battery found heavy corrosion - corrosion so bad that the terminal and post had fused/melted together. The Auto Zone rep tried for 30 minutes to separate the two - no luck - absolutely not coming apart. J&A was just across the street so I got a jump and went over and waited for them to open at 8:30. At 8:25 Diep was walking up to open and saw my hood open and came over to my car and asked what was wrong. I explained and he said he could do something about it. Right there started working on it, still with keys in hand.This was a very tricky project - without getting into all the details - it took some real ingenuity and patience on his part to get this problem resolved without having to replace something more pricey than just the battery or a terminal. No room to work around the battery, and very little room for error with his fix.He nailed it - took 40 minutes. Barely charged me anything. Nice guy too. Got me on my way quickly and economically. Diep and his crew replaced a transmission for me years ago and did a great job. This was just another reminder of what a good dude he is and what you can expect when you go there. I highly recommend J&A - Diep will take care of you.* By the way, while we were out there multiple customers came in who he knew by name and who knew him by name - those are repeat customers. I think that says something about J&A. Give them a try.

This guys lied to my girlfriend and charged 500 for a sending unit in a 02 Nissan Xterra, they told her that it was a lot because they had to removed the gas thank which is a lie and that’s not it she actually bought the sending unit from the Nissan dealership so at the end she paid 500 just for labor
