Fun little shop with a nice big selection. Really friendly staff.

Best part about this shop was/is Marty. Sadly the owner decided to sell stuff out of our box even though we spent enough money that he could take a trip to Disneyland. It was pretty shocking. Oh well. Glad others enjoyed it while it was here.

These guys are amazing. A lot of comic shops are pretty elitist and these guys are not. Theyre friendly and knowledgeable and they dont care if youre just getting into comics or know everything. They have a wide selection and keep things stocked as best they can. I highly recommend this little comic shop.

I am from an incredibly small town. The biggest challenge with moving to a city is finding a place that makes you feel right at home. The minute I walked into Comic Hut I was greeted by the entire staff, and immediately struck up a conversation. It really felt like I was back in small town NY talking with the owner like I was a regular. I will be back again, and again, and again...

Only way it could have gotten 5 stars is if they took debit/credit. I need to be able to buy every back issue I missed!Really chill people, though. Stopped by on Free Comic Book Day and they were totally polite and helped me find something tucked away that I couldnt find.

The staff here are great, very friendly and helpful! They have a decent selection of back issues as well. The only things that kept me from going 5 stars is that they are cash only... so no debit or credit. The good news is there are a few banks in the area close by. Also, their back issues are slightly higher in price than some places might be, even recent back issues. Still, this is a great place to shop and I highly recommend them.

Howard and the rest of the staff are an absolute JOY to talk to. Very knowledgeable, and the size of their store belies the bulk of their selection. They offer a competitive discount for subscriptions, better than most Ive seen in the county.

Howard is great! Ive been a customer here for the past two years and Im always happy with the experience. The building is a bit old, but that adds to the charm. Ill keep coming back as long as the Hut still stands.

My favorite comic shop, they have the best variety of comics in my town, the only one that would carry issues of Transformers. The owner is so amazingly helpful and personable!

Nice and friendly staff - I dont know much about comics so I cant speak to their selection, but the location is convenient so Ive dropped in in and impulse-buy a few things over the years. Will definitely be there again.

The Comic Hut (name on Google is wrong!) is a great little comic shop. The owner, Howard, is super friendly and knows all the comics. His new employee (sorry I dont remember his name) is young and enthusiastic. While not as knowledgeable, hes very friendly and willing to help find anything youre looking for.They have a huge back catalog of comics, all well organized. They also have a selection of collectibles, and even have some sports cards and memorabilia. Theres a lot of stuff to look at in such a small store.

They have super friendly service. I try to stop by whenever I can. Really like their 80s back issues and are priced reasonably.

It was an honor buying comics from this place and having conversations with the workers. Sad it will no longer be around but Im thankful I stopped by from time to time and they had a great selection of comics and stuff.

I love that Comic Hut is here in Renton, and has been able to survive for many years, even a large fire when it was next door to what is now Common Ground. So, I have a locality bias that adds a star.That being said, it may not compare to comic book stores in more affluent communities. It is very bare bones and small, but stocks the popular comics along with collectable figurines. The guys who run the place are friendly and know a fair amount about their wares, but you can find more well-informed folks in bigger stores. They do have shortages in stock at times, especially with the more popular issues. And my experience with trying to order back issues through them has not often worked. But I have obtained a few nice issues there, and I like that they participate in Free Comic Book Day.The biggest thing to know about Comic Hut is that they only take cash. No credit or debit card. I have not asked why, and I think this cash-only policy hurts their opportunities at times. And yet, they persist, and for more years here than just about any other business in downtown Renton that I know. I hope they continue to do so for many more years to come. I just also keep hoping to see them improve their location too.

Ive been going to this shop for years for a reason. The guys who work here actually know about comics and read them. They have a good selection of back issues with a fully-stocked new release wall. They will also order you anything you want.

Really is a great store, with great collection of books you could ever need, from story books to textbooks to casual books. Also fairly priced.

Wasnt thrilled with the musty smell and the way the desk clerk ignored us except to tell us he couldnt have the kids looking at the comics. My experience at the Comic Den was concluded when I tried to buy a graphic novel with my Amazon card, and was told without any effort at politeness, or with suggestions of where I might find a nearby ATM, We dont accept credit cards.So we left, never to return.

Howard the owner is awesome. He and his staff really go out of their way to ensure that the genre, character, or series you want - is what you get. I havent been actively collecting comics till now, due to the hype for Spider Man. I contacted Howard through Facebook, and from there Ive become a return customer since. The store accepts cash and check only, which works well since many banks are around Comic Hut. The store will even create a comic box for you if youre wanting to start a particular comic set for a series or character(s). Myself personally, I started with Spider-geddon and the new spider-man #1 which features Miles Morales. All in time for the new animated film: Into the spiderverse which comes out on Christmas 2018.

Great little comic book store in downtown Renton.

Let me drop some knowledge. You know how I do it.Does the place impress you? umm... Does it seem a bit run down when your checking it out? Sure. But then take that closer look. Talk with Howard the owner. Hes a great guy, always helpful. Doesnt shy away from any customer. I recently returned to the comics world, and he and his store are one of my two favorite places to go. Its cash only, which is hard for me to get used to. But thats a small thing. Good selection of all types of back issues. Helpful with knowledge on things, even takes a few points off the top on sales, even for me with my first purchase at his store.I believe I have stopped by now, every wednesday for the last two months. And never since my 2nd visit has he not known my name or given great customer service. Maybe thats why hes still in business this 20 or 25 plus years now.I salute you.
