Fantastic service on packaging and shipping a family heirloom!I had found, by accident, a painting on the internet of an Alaskan native that was painted by my aunt 80 years ago, when she and her husband were living in Alaska before it became a state. It had been part of an auction of an estate sale in South Lake Tahoe which is near where my aunt once lived. I contacted the estate appraiser to see if she knew who had purchased this painting and whether that individual would be willing to sell it. Lo and behold, it had been purchased by her husband and was sitting in his office in Reno, NV, and yes, he would sell it! But how to get this 21 x 32 painting from Reno to Chicago where I live?!Enter Mario Vega at The Box Store to the rescue! Since the paper of this painting was 80 years old I couldnt just have him roll it up and put it in a tube. That might ruin it. Instead, he came up with a plan to create a cardboard sleeve, encase that in styrofoam, putting that inside a 36 square box marked fragile. Fort Knox could not be more secure! And Mario made sure that I knew it by sending me pics of each stage of the packaging and shipping, which were both priced very reasonably. Not only that, he was so easy to work with and made sure that he made himself available with any questions that I had, but also followed up to make sure that I received my precious package safe and sound, which I did thanks to him.Thanks again, Mario, for your professionalism, courtesy, and consideration...
