I would recommend calling ahead to make sure they have turf available. I needed to do about 500 square feet of sod and they were able to hook me up the next day. They loaded my truck for me and Im pretty sure the owner was one of the guys loading. Pretty cool! They also rented me a spreader that can be used to evenly lay down top soil or peat moss. Service was solid.What about the sod? They gave me some advice about how to lay the sod and when to water. I followed the instructions and three weeks later Im incredibly impressed with my instant lawn. In the words of the great Clark Griswold, Cant see the lines can ya Russ? Check out the three week photos. Amazing. Solid product. The only bare spots are from my poor cutting. The turf is amazing.

Called them and the lady on the phone was really helpful. She had asked for a payment method over the phone, but I asked to see the sod before purchasing it. I pulled into the yard and asked (Gary) where parking was. He just pointed and didnt say one word. I found the spots where he pointed to (Mind you the sign was facing down, probably because the wind). I then went to talk to them at the sales desk, and their was a Spanish speaking male at the window. My father doesnt speak English well, so he proceeded to talk to him in Spanish. The male at the window would start speaking a couple words in Spanish and continued to speak in English. We asked if he spoke Spanish and he said yes, assuming he would help us out because my father wanted to ask him questions regarding the sod but he was not helpful. We then asked if we could see the sod before purchasing it, and he old us that it was fine and to go out to the field to look at it, but an older male named Gary stopped and asked us where we were headed to and I told him we were told we could look at the sod. He was very rude and asked why, I told him we were told that we were able to look at it. He said that the people in the office dont know what they are talking about, and that they stay in the office and hes in charge of what goes on in the yard. I told him I had asked for permission and its not like i was going to steal a roll of sod... I just wanted to look at it before purchasing it. He told me, Yeah I dont think youll steal it, but with covid it can infect our stuff (Gary was not wearing a mask like the CDC recommends businesses to do). Anyways, I took my business somewhere else! I recommend Western Turf. FRESH sod, and GREAT costumer service. Dont waste your time here. BTW its cheaper at Western Turf & Hardscapes

On Fridays from 9 to 1 they have a small farmers. This will probably run until sometime in September.

I called around to many places looking for sod including home depot, Lowes, and some other landscaping businesses. Dayton valley was the only place that had a clue what they were doing. They had many varieties and even offered to teach me how to Lay the sod if I didnt know how. They had my special order sod the next day and it was great quality and a fair price. Would definitely use these guys again, great job.

Travis the salesman is very knowledgeable and I enjoyed learning from him. And when youre waiting all season for sod, they surprisingly already have it!
