I Purchased a Fender Custom shop guitar off of Reverb.com from them early last year right before the pandemic hit. The guitar arrived with massive fret sprout sharp enough to cut my hand. I then discovered the the guitar came with manufactured defects that will require a heavy relic guitar to be repainted. Because I have MS I was not able to take to UPS myself and had no one else to do so. I asked if they could send me a new box and have UPS come collect it. I also asked If they were not able to do this would they be ok if I placed it safely away till the pandemic slowed down. After that they cut all communication. I tried to contact them again recently to resolve this and still no response. So now I have to send a Fender custom shop guitar back to Fender for repairs. These repairs I have been told from the tech could take up to a year or more for the guitar to be repaired and returned. Bottom line, DONT BUY FROM THEM VIA REVERB.

Well, I bought a guitar there, and the experience was good, but I guess its the virus thing, but there wasnt a lot of stuff like it used to be. As I say, I bought a guitar, it arrived early. The people were all pleasant and helped me good, for that, I rate a 5 star, Im just bummed to see it so empty

Wanted to support small business. Went there on a saturday. When my family and i went there, we were stopped by one the owners. He told us it was closed because they only had 2 workers on the weekends. There was a sign that stated, if we knew what we wanted to knock on door or call a number and they bring our product there. Well owner flat out said they not open and didnt offer us any help. Told us weekdays are open. But i aint going there again and no longer going to pass tell anyone else about their business in good way. Never been lied to straight to my face by an owner. Should take that note down if they not open weekends because that what it was targeting the weekends. Stay away and support GUITAR CENTER. Way better customer service.

I drove in from Mammoth Lakes last Thursday and the door was locked and I was told I could do no in-store shopping even though Google shows hours 10am to 6pm with in-store shopping available. I was told I would need to set an appointment or shop online. Please update your hours! What a waste of time and money! 👎

I own a small business. So I shop local. Bought a brand new bass from them that was broken. It was in their shop 4 times equal to 3 months in 2 years! I finally was fed up so asked for a refund. They would not refund my money. Only store credit. I ordered a new bass from them to use my store credit. It did not come in time to record our demo. So they said I could pick out a bass of equal price to the one I ordered & they would swap it when the one I ordered came in. It finally came in 4 months after they said it would. I went in to swap & they said I had to pay extra for it. I told them I would not give them any more of my money & I will never be in again! Anything “deal” they give you, get it in writing! THEY ARE A CROOKED OPERATION!

Dozens of slightly imperfect instruments available for a great price. Salespeople are cool helpful and not pushy. Lots of selections for amps but a little small space. Great selection for high or low budgets. Guitar technicians are good.

The main floor has a great selection and typical prices. The employees are pretty chill... BUT- the real allure of this shop is the vintage and rare vault in the basement. I purchased a mint guitar from here and when they shipped the guitar it just came in a cardboard box with a few pieces of paper shoved in. As a result the guitar was damaged and I had to repackage it (i used airbus to keep it from busting up any further) and they shipped me another mint guitar. This time the packaging was underwhelming but got the job done (aside from the killer buzz my guitar had. i finally just sold it because i didnt want to ship the damn thing back and forth to reno).

Long-time favorite guitar store of mine

The staff was friendly and helpful and I got an awesome deal on a fender acoustic guitar.

For musicians and collectors, the vintage guitar vault has got to be one of the coolest overlooked places in the Reno area. The owner was accommodating, giving me a short tour and rundown on some pretty rare acoustics and electrics from the 50s on up. Gibsons, Martins, Guilds, Gretchens, and more. It was worth visiting—when Im in the market for a broke-in flat top with character, Im planning on returning to this place.

Although I have been in music for years, mostly piano, guitar was a completely different territory for me and my boyfriend. We honestly had no clue what we wanted and were originally just there to look and see if they would take a trade in of ours. The service was very good and knowledgable, even showing us how both of our guitars worked and our amp. We instantly knew what we wanted but were concerned about the price. Without neogoiation, they offered us a steal of a deal and, of course, we took it :) We were very pleased and honestly dont want to do business with anyone else.

THE best place to buy gear in northern NV. All the real gems are in the vault, ask and they shall lead you to them. First rate service too. Ive taken two Strats into Bizarre and their techs actually know how to properly set the trem! This place will beat all prices at the big box gc store! Their prices are actually far lower than what their stickers advert. Place is pretty cool, and I give them 4.5 out of 5 stars as they currently dont have a play as you pay model which most other shops and online stores do. They add that service and youd be hard pressed to find a better brick and mortar store in the Reno/Sparks area!
