No problems here so far. Everything went nicely. Everything is so overpriced though in comparison to Raleys for example. Might stop here again.

Too expensive and they have the nerve to ask for a $10 donation while checking out. Not a buck or round up to the next dollar. No they asked me to donate $10 and then totally judge you when you say no thank you. Its pathetic times are tough everywhere and I cant imagine a cashier raking in so much money that they would be donating $10. Also employees barely wear masks. Dont put a sign up for wearing masks if your employees dont wear them.

Safeway in Truckee is one of the best grocery stores. It has a lot of food options and fresh made meals from the deli. It’s always kept very clean!! The staff is really really kind also! Just this week I bought a cake and the cashier wanted it to look nicer before I left, so she helped take off the price sticker and make it look nice. In the peak seasons this store will get very very busy. If you’re a tourist and you’re coming in summer or winter, expect to wait in line for about an hour. I typically come early in the morning or late at night to avoid that rush.

The checker was extremely nice and made my shopping visit plesant.

A bit pricey but worth the cost die to selection, cleanliness, quick checkout compared to other stores.

Always very clean. I like the very open aisles and easy access to shopping. I like the many coupon specials. The produce department has really fresh veggies and fruit. The meat/ fish dept. Is nicely displayed and very helpful employees. 👍

This store was horrible. I went in to buy lamb chops. Found a 4 pack for 11.99 per pound. Also found a value pack for 12.99 a pound. Talked to the man in the meat department and explained the situation that the value pack was more expensive than the small pack and he looked at me shook his head and walked away and went back to cleaning the counters. So I contact the manager and she basically did the same by telling me oh I cant help you. I will be contacting the higher ups and will get a conclusion with this matter. I worked for Safeway in the bay area back in the 80s in loss prevention. This is horrible service and they deserve what ever they get from the public. They cater to the lawlessness and shunn the law-abiding...

Love this store. Always clean, never busy, has everything I need. Produce is always fresh. Highly recommend

I prefer shopping at this location because they are open late, always have what I need, and they have more dietary options if you are doing a paleo or keto type diet. The only thing I didnt like was that they were busy, so they were kind of throwing my chips/bread and other fragile groceries down the lane and into the cart aggressively and I would prefer by food not to get squished or broken.

Why is Banessa such a loathsome individual?I was in line waiting for a rain check when she pushed me aside to help 2 people she knew.After that, it took 5 minutes for her to misread the coupon, even asking for assistance to read it.Um, can I maybe see a manager who actually might be able to read it?Wait for it....I am the only manager on duty.Why, people? Why?

I love this store but the employees, even before the great resignation started, have not been super helpful. But the store sells itself.

They never have calamari anymore. Very disappointing. The organic oranges were kinda soft and we couldnt find liquid aminos. 😞😞

Safeway had a different variety of items. Good selection of icecream I bought a bakery cake it was the best!! Excellent!!

Been going to Safeway for years and always pleased with my shopping experience in all their locations across Cali and Nevada.Until today I felt comfortable coming to Safeway. Today was the first time I felt like I was treated like the bottom Ms Jessica’s (front end manager) shoe when I wanted a refund on the $17 organic chicken I purchased just a few days ago. Sadly the chicken was bruised.She was giving me annoyed vibes and when I tried to interact with her she ignored me until I straight out had to ask her if she was inconvenienced with my transaction. No apology for her poor customer service.Maybe she was having a bad day, oh well, wishing all Safeway patrons happy shopping as it is a nice and organized and pretty quiet store.

Why have I been wasting my time and money and Raleys when this gem of a grocery store exists just around the corner? Fabulous.

Well lit aisles, very clean store. Walmart prices are cheaper but the fruit and veggies aisle is laid out nice and everything is fresh and ready. Walmart isnt as nice in presentation.

Easy to get in and out of, convenient to gas & other businesses & restaurants in the area. New self checkouts very convenient.

It was.my first time shopping there I love the store it had a lot of organic stuff and it was clean and you had help if you needed help to find something I had a nice time there people were very friendly the checkers

Did door dash and everytime I do they are out of stock of my items plus all the substitutions that are available(which are probably up to 5 items). You either need to hire restockers or get rid of your lazy employees who dont want to find items for doordash. I paid for a convience and got 1 item because of this laziness. Thank you for a 9 dollar gallon of milk. Never shopping there again.

The checker was super nice, and even let me know I grabbed a more expensive organic item (hadnt intended), and saved me $3! People dont really do that kind of thing anymore. Much appreciated.

This store is the cleanest I have been in very long time. The staff is super helpful. This is my new favorite store.

I realize the grocery store isnt the place to use the bathroom, but sometimes you just have to go. So, Im sorry to say I was absolutely disgusted. I hope in their remodeling they include the bathroom, especially in the middle of a pandemic.My other complaint is the deli. The do have boars head but the equipment is old and the blades are dull, so its never thin enough and clean enough. They package it like youre buying bologna. For $10 a pound it should be nicely sliced to your preference. Its the attitude of the store that gets me. Ill go to Smiths instead for deli meat.If youre a thrifty shopper, use the Safeway app. You can get some great deals, but double check your receipt before you leave. If it doesnt ring up right, they will fix it immediately with cash back. No hassle, just the hassle to check.

I hate the pharmacy! They are very hard to get your prescription from.

If it isnt on really good sale, shop elsewhere... Most prices, even ad prices higher than other stores.

I was delivering for a third party and when I walked up to the deli counter, the older women in the back literally rolled their eyes when I walked up. The one that I spoke to had a bad attitude and no customer service skills.

Although they have a sign saying no masks they do not enforce the mask Mandate. Even when I asked the store manager. Its unfortunate Safeway puts profits in front of safety.

Expensive but quality products and friendly service

Good selection of wine, beef and produce, not so good selection of seafood and bourbon. Thats random but true.

Their produce dept. is needing a bit of extra attention. They were selling Organic Yellow Nectarines complete with mold. The produce area in general smelled like that wasnt the only thing rotting. Other than that they have nice and helpful staff. And its a generally nice store.

Obviously Safeway is at the higher end of the price spectrum for groceries, but you can find some good deals here too. This is a very nice store as well.

I am totally impressed by the new Starbucks kiosk that Safeway has put into the store. If you visit this kiosk be sure to have Jeremy make you a drink! He is Everything a barista should be. Friendly, clean and makes an exceptional coffee drink no matter what you choose.

There was a lousy selection of meat the prices are too high and just the all-out bad shopping experience.

This is a good sized safeway, they have a starbucks inside along with a deli on the side. Theres also a pharmacy in the back of the store. The safeway gas station is across the parking lot from this location. Theres also a few restaurants if youre traveling through and dont feel like stopping too long. Safeway sells mostly food it is a grocery store, but they do have sections for dog/cat food, they have a medicine section as well as cleaning and laundry supplies. The employees are helpful and friendly and the store itself is spacious.

I like the selection and atmosphere. Everyone is friendly. Only thing I didnt like was having my raw salmon put with anything but other raw meat.

Best grocery store in reno!

Havnt been in here for awhile. I wanted to go somewhere small so not as many people but get all my shopping done.Prices were very high. I was shocked. Store was very clean and organized. I will only be stopping there when I need one or two items from now on.

Have had multiple disappointments with this location over the past few visits. Produce is sub par, especially when you compare it to Raleighs.My Mom picked up dairy from this location that was past the expiration dates. Our fault for checking closer but the milk and Greek yogurt shouldnt have been on the floor.On my last visit both Express lanes were backed up by customers who had full carts of groceries. Im new to Reno area but you can bet I will not be shopping at this Safeway unless corporate retrains the management.

Less than 2mi from home, 12yrs app member. If you take advantage of the app and pre load items you can do really well. 2months accumulated points toward gas too. Long enough to know a lot of the people. Always nice.

The pharmacy inside the store has horrible customer service called and called for over two hours to talk to pharmacy and no answer every time This is very very poor service!!! This is a business and if you can not serve customers then close your business there is no excuse for never answering the phone then finally called Safeway pharmacy in sparks and they answered the phone right away I have emailed Safeway corporate offices and let them know they need to fire the staff at Safeway pharmacy in reno i hire reliable people that do there job!!!!!

Savemart is better

Good produce. Clean store. They do not offer any delivery service however (at least to my address - only approx. 5 miles away). Seems like an oversight in these times. I often shop the more expensive competitor solely for the convenience and safety of delivery ( even though they are priced higher and add a delivery fee)

Look. If you enjoy grossly over paying for near everything in the store, this is the store for you. They do give cash back though and were open at 5 am. So they did earn that One Star!

High quality, high price. About whay you would expect!

I was looking for 2 and 1/2 gallon water jugs with a spicket. Had shopped at another local store, and they did not have the product. Not only did I find it at Safeway, but they had the product as a Safeway branded item which was much less expensive. As I was checking out, the clerk was very friendly and helpful!

Clean & well stocked. Way more expensive than the WalMart grocery right across the street.

Was verbally assaulted by one of the super dirt bag old lady employees who decided I was not in the store for the reasons I had stated but must have obviously been up to something nefarious. She became unstable yelling at employees who believed I was there for the reasons I stated and completely ballistic when I did not tuck tail and run. For the record I was visiting the store to do a small retail merchandising task that only paid around 20 bucks.

I have been shopping at Safeway stores since 2008.

Safeway Reno Nevada let me tell why I go to the Reno Nevada when your Bank back in S tockton Ca.has$$$$$thousands of dollars in it and you come past your limits and its only 3:00 in the afternoon what do you do you go to Safeway self-service checkouts cash back as much as you want and as many times as you want I usually hit for $300 pops and I come back later if I need more but usually I went by then the best safe way you could ever imagine and the guy at the self checkout he on top of it he even helps you go to the next machine so you dont take all the money out of one machine thats how fair they are theyre there to help Ill give you a hard time like everybody else Safeway knows what theyre doing and Reno Nevada
