Slight issue. Arrived late. Nobody around. Couldn’t find the entrance to the tow where our slot was. Damaged my car trying to backup. But the slot was good. Just not very wide
Very quiet park. Great location close to highway. Not too far away from downtown Reno, but far enough to be quiet. Very nice and helpful staff. There were some trees for shade. Clean restrooms. Great for all types of RVs or trailers. The RV park was great, but the casino is very small with a very heavy smell of smoke (which is great if you are a smoker). All of the staff were great.
This review is long overdue, it was back in March of 2021 and my truck broke down about a mile from Bordertown. i looked up Bordertown for rv parks and it had a casino and rv park listed and it was actually had great reviews and Patricia said she had a spot for up to two weeks while i got my truck fixed. The Park was nice and i had my lab and the dog area was nice and clean. I really appreciate the help they provided me during my time of troubles. Thank you!
The “casino” didn’t look anything like the photos on the website. In the RV Park the sites are closely situated to each other but a small patch of green grass between them. Our site was tight but we managed to fit our 34 foot Class A with our Jeep in tow no problem. The office staff is friendly and kind. The dog run is large but all dirt. We would stay again mostly because of our Good Sam Discount.
I dont very much care for the bad attitude of the gas station attendants hereProbably not coming back
Good place bet a game have a brew pick the loose slot and get lucky dont forget to tip well
Stopped by to use the RV dump station. Guy was a bit rude to my wife and wouldn’t tell us where the station was till we paid. No problem - we paid and discovered a line of 6 people in front, which would probably take about two hours given 20 mins per person. I kindly asked for my money back and the man said no refunds. I told him we didn’t use it, but he refused and argued for a bit. Eventually he threw the $10 back at me; I said thank you left. He could have been nice and simply just returned the money for something we didn’t use, but instead put up a fight. I think his anger started towards us because we wore a mask (he wasn’t wearing one). I wish people were nice to each other and respectful. Don’t give this place your business until they change their attitude.
Quite, clean, crowded. Nice dog park. Grass and small table between sites. Sites are very close together (to be expected) A nice place to stay for a week.
Used RV dump on a Friday. No line. The helpful woman said Sundays are the busiest days so plan accordingly. There is line of sight from the office to the dump station so you can judge the wait (if any) before paying.
Had an awful 5 plus hour drive from Klamath Falls in fires and smoke and heat on July 10th 2021. The man at check in seemed honestly caring when asking about how we were doing and our fatigue. We got a great pull thru for a couple nights. Parks is clean and very quiet. Didnt go to their casino. Would stop again. Easy drive into Reno.
The bartender was super nice and made a great bloody Mary. The casino is small and the lady that made our players cards messed up the names and basically told us too bad. Didnt win a thing not even a dollar lol
Small casino/ bar/restaurant next to a mini mart gas station and in front of an RV park. This town is on Hwy 395 and sits right on the CA/NV border hence the name. They have new and old style slots. Good Luck to You!
While traveling through Reno we stopped over for the night at the resort. The RV Resort is just off the 395 in North Reno and is very easy to find.We were greeted by extremely friendly staff who made us feel welcome and were appreciative of our stay. Interior roads of the park were easy to navigate our 45 coach + tow. Roads are paved and sites are concrete with grass, trees, patio and a table.Bordertown RV Resort is one of the cleanest resorts we have stayed at in 2020. We travel nonstop and its always nice to see such a fine resort. The resort is not large so make sure you book early.
Hard to find a better place to stay!Positives: Super quiet (I work night shift so this is amazing), extremely clean, close to everything. Friendly staff, restaurant on site with delicious food, very inexpensive compared to other local parks. Very clean laundry and shower facilities. Wonderful green grass on each lot. Several options to exercise your dogs! Internet and cable tv included in your lot rent - neither of which have gone out in the time weve been here.Negatives: Sprinklers go off nightly and are set at crazy angles. My car windows better be up or I get a lake inside. Hard water spots on the RV and the car from the sprinklers.(But we LOVE our green grass - so its a trade off.) Laundry facilities need to be updated. The machines are small but work great.
Went in during the covid. States on the doors mask required. Went in with my mask and sat at a machine.... a gentleman walks up sits next to me then started coughing without a mask..... I would love it if this place would actually enforce people wearing a mask in there establishment. Will no longer be going there
Some people must wear a mask for sevice at the gas station and others can walk on in without one and get help.
Unbelievably rude staff unless you are full time renters at their property. There are MUCH nicer and more accommodating places in Reno to stay. We will not be back.
We didnt stay here but needed to stop at the rv park for some water for our tanks and the staff was so helpful and friendly. Will definitely stay here if we need a place in the area!
Booked for this weekend for a nice, local getaway. Chose this property due to reviews, cleanliness, and location. The resort actually had the nerve to refuse our reservation because we own a vintage, 1971, fully restored camper! They didnt even ask for photos or anything. They called us prior to arrival, and canceled based on their statement that they dont accept RVs greater than 15 years old. Shame on this property. We will not recommend to any of or visiting friends in the future.
Stay away! I am writing this review on behalf of my elderly friend who is not computer savvy. My friend is hard of hearing and was unable to communicate with the park host. Masks do make it difficult for people who have to read lips. After an unsuccessful attempt to talk to the gentlemen who as on shift, my friend sent in his lady friend. She was able to communicate normally with the host but the employee basically just yelled at her and told her (I quote) to get the .... out of here. My friends were visible shaken and very upset.Save yourself the trouble please! I feel that customers and management need to hear about this kind of behavior of the RV park employee! I would give it a zero if I could.
Stopped at the restaurant on our way back into town, and ordered the open face turkey sandwich. Omg! It was delicious, and the real mashed potatoes and gravy put it over the top! We will definitely be back to have it again.
Nice park just outside the hustle & bustle of Reno. Sites were nice with a small patch of grass & trees, but fairly close together or wed give it 5 stars. Fuel station, small casino & restaurant onsite. Food & service was excellent.
For at least 11 years now we stop off at the Bordertown RV Resort on our way to and from various destinations in Nevada. It is a very clean and well maintained RV park. Its so nice to be able to walk over to the Casino and get a good meal or deli sandwich in the evening... and a nice breakfast in the morning before continuing on our journeys. The gas station is also very convenient making this an ideal stopover point.
Ordered take out on Fathers Day in my observation I watched the cashier touch cards and cash, then walk over and touched toast with his gloves on and then while he was waiting for orders to go or toast he leaned on steal counter with same gloves on, then buttered and packaged toast!! Talk about cross contamination! I was totally disgusted. Then on top of all this a manager had to tell the hostess people to many people inside waiting to be seated. Why is to go service not curbside? Why are these employees not changing gloves and placing germs on everything! Between COVID-19 and cross contamination you are doomed eating and walking in that place! Usually food is good but that day hash browns barely cooked and they forgot my favorite jelly! I did not eat my toast when I got home. Made my own! I hope this feedback gives them some insight on improvements and changing gloves in general!!
A couple weeks ago we called in for sandwiches from the deli. We drove around to the back to pick up our order called the deli. There was no wait. The waitress came out with our meal. She was very personable and nice, I could see by her eyes she was smiling under her mask! Food was awesome!
Beautiful place right outside Reno. Very clean and the people are Very nice. the food at the casino was very good. We will definitely stop there again.
The people working where friendly (Austin) . We stayed at the RV park for a couple of days they didn’t have room the first day we showed up but where helpful in telling us where to park overnight for the first night. The people in the casino where friendly and we walk away ahead of the game. The restaurant was tasty and served large portions well worth the money. Overall a nice place to stay out of the way of all the hustle and bustle of Reno.
Great people and slot play any time
Really nice place, clean and friendly. Nice dog run. Nice to have a gas station on site
The Bordertown diner has some of the best food I’ve ever had. You couldn’t ask more from a diner. Everything I’ve had on the menu is good except for their Monte Crisco. They deep fry their Monte Crisco so everything is saturated in grease. Besides that though, everything on their menu is great, they have excellent service, and they have excellent decor.
Friendly and helpful gentleman checked us in and directed us to our RV space. Nice level concrete pull-through, lush grass between spaces. Very quiet. They also have a fenced in dog run with ample supplies for doggie cleanup. Food in deli and restaurant was a bit expensive, but portions were more than ample, and it tasted good. We will definitely stay here again if we find ourselves again in the area.
Every time I visit my friend in Reno that lives near Bordertown we stay at the RV Resort. It’s incredibly pleasant. Level concrete sites, bordered with grass, trees, and a small patio with a concrete picnic table. The staff is wonderful, bathrooms are clean, showers are a bit small and dated, however, the shower is a private room with a sink. The laundry was also very clean. Very quiet and easy access from Highway 395. We will definitely be staying again.
I have been eating here since the late 1970s when it was a small well run tasty restaurant/small casino/gas station. Over the years they have grown tremendously and includes a well maintained RV park that is a lovely place to stop overnight. The food has only got better with many more choices. Sadly I dont there much anymore having relocated an hour east of Reno. Highly recommend to any travelers out there.
STAY AWAY!!!! I would give a ZERO if I could. We made reservations months in advance for our family at the RV Resort. We even called a week prior to have our mail forwarded there. After driving all day, we get there only to have them tell us that NO CHILDREN ARE ALLOWED. NO WHERE ON THEIR WEBSITE WAS THIS MENTIONED, or at the time of the reservation. From the moment they discovered we had 2 children, they were not helpful and completely unsympathetic to the fact that we had driven all day to get there, and had no where else to go. The woman at the desk was entirely rude. When we asked for our mail which we knew had already arrived, she was suddenly unable to locate it and not willing to get off her duff to get it. The thing that really pisses us off, is that they charged us $77 even though it wasnt our fault that they neglected to tell us no children were allowed they day they took our reservation. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS RACKET. This fight has just begun!
Stayed at Bordertown one night. Small (50 spots) very clean, well maintained park. Looked like there were a number of longer term campers there based on insulated plumbing lines (we were there in 90-100 degree weather) but none of the typical personal junk. Might be because they run sprinklers every night to water the pads of fresh grass and so request no personal items be left out. The place is one rig next to another but trees and pads of well maintained grass, smooth concrete pads, roomy round outdoor tables, and newly paved and painted roads really made this place feel top notch, despite simple amenities.
Really nice RV park. Full hookups with a grass area in the RV park side. Super clean and tidy.
We stopped for breakfast and the food was excellent. Our waitress Brenda bent over backwards to make sure we were happy. The service was GREAT and even though they were busy didnt have to wait more than ten minutes.
Its literally on the California-Nevada border, you can gamble and smoke cigarettes inside! The restaurant was good cheap food and excellent service. We stayed at the RV park next to it, zero complaints.
A great place to play for your last chance to Win it big
Clean Quiet Level RV Park. Rick has a great attitude and he keeps his private Good Sam property immaculent. New asphalt with level concrete pads for your Rig. RV park that knows it dont run uphill. 1/2 hour from downtown Virginia Street. Well worth the drive though. Beautiful mountain scenery with country Quiet.Restaurant at casino, big breakfast. Diesel, gas,and propane. And two free drinks on check in.Told Rick that I wanted to keep it a secret and would not review. A place this nice and a guy who works so hard needs recognition.
The service is great, the employees are friendly. Restaurant has great frenchfries. The deli makes excellent subs. 👍👍
The Host is very friendly and helpful. Sites are good and well maintained. Nice laundry facility. Bathroom clean, well maintained and nice and warm, a hook would be nice to hang your coat. Regular shower very tight not enough hooks for clothing etc. Handicapped shower spacious and good on hooks. Thank you for having an rv park at this location!
Friendly people. Warm shower/bath room. Casino smokey. WiFi in park was awful for me in sp 30. Nothing else around.
The RV good: quiet, excellent well kept grounds without being crowded, level cement pads, friendly staff. One of my stops on the way north or south on US 395.The RV not so good: Not a resort... has none of the resort extras, hot tub, swimming pool, lounge, etc.Casino: Big video game room where you can loose your money. No dealers, other players that make a game... sad. 24 hour deli bar... nice Gift shop, Booze about $10 more per bottle than California supermarkets.
Bordertown RV Park is a great, attractive RV Park! Nice spaces, nice amenities and very nice people. A hidden GEM up on the hill!
What a terrific park! Gorgeous views, green grass, trees & shrubbery, and paved roads & sites. Sites are spacious and laid out well. Nice laundry room. Excellent WiFi and clear cable channels. And if ya dont feel like cooking, the casino has 2 places to grab a bite. We enjoyed our stay here very much and would definitely return.
Well organized, easy in and out. Sites are immaculate. Only two bathrooms, so if you do not have your own ......
The RV Park is a hidden gem. Concrete slabs, not too packed together. Dog runs are very large, hookups are good, and the office staff is very nice. They got rid of the jerk that used to run the park - he was the sole reason weve never stayed here before. Well be back.
Typical Smoky Small Town Casino I dont Gamble. Deli bar pretty good as long as you can get the ladies attention you need to watch her though cuz she messes up orders a lot. The restaurant has gone downhill in the years past Ive only been there for breakfast but last time I went for dinner did not like it at all.
All around FIVE STARS...All the employees at Bordertown have the best customer service.. Because of their friendly and attentive service I have been a returning customer for years..
A very well maintained park. We had a medical emergency during our stay. Both staff and guests were super in their assistance.
Small little gambling, eating, drinking, shop, and gas stop. Perfect for travelers that need to stop, stretch, and use the bathroom. As any place that allows smoking it smells horrible. Gamblers smoke so no use in dropping a star for them being who they are. If you dont like smoke why stop a gambling spot? Everything else is clean and staffed with friendly staff.
This place is excellent! Clean and well cared for. Everything is paved with a little grassy area at each site. The wi fi reception is excellent. The showers and restrooms are clean! We love this place. Been here twice and will be back
When I first went there to eat it was great, but lately the food has no favour to it. Once I ordered fish and it was raw same with a burger that I ordered. Breakfast is good, but the rest not to sure about.
I just checked in! The staff was very friendly on the phone and in person. I love the fact they are very dog friendly. The sites are very nice. Over all very very nice R.v park!
A terrific enroute stop on 395 near Reno. Concrete pad pull-throughs long enough to avoid unhitching, hookups well located, clean facilities. The adjacent casino/store/restaurant opened at 6:00 with $3.99 early-bird specials so generous the leftovers made the next days breakfast. Snowy mountain backdrop when we woke up.
I was treated really well and enjoyed the park. Clean bathrooms and showers and really well kept grounds.
Refused the RV we were traveling after taking our credit card information and having us drive over an hour. Totally unprofessional and a waste of our time. Did not apologize or care. I will never suggest them ever
We visited the RV park at Bordertown today. What a lovely park and wonderful staff! We would highly recommend this park, large pull thru spaces, grass, trees and picnic tables!
Very friendly staff, clean restrooms & showers, very quiet, peaceful and overall great experience! Definitely a 5 star place!
We stayed at the RV park and found it to be very comfortable. The staff was friendly and the bathrooms were clean. We would stay there again.
Food was very good. Tough to get a drink when playing games away from the bar. Otherwise had a fun time.
Very clean RV park, restroom and laundry are very clean, showers could use a bit more room. The pad for parking RV on is very level. Not a lot of extra room on sides if you have slides due to plants.
Decent food, reasonable prices, good service. It is a casino restaurant, so you get okay, but not fabulous.
Nice place to stop. Nice people, great food, big portions, but pricey. Clean restrooms.
Tricky if your a local you have fun and win $ you got to have the look-about you or with friends great food needs more park for cars and semi trucks really ....
Bordertown Casino and RV Park is easy to enteraccess from the street. Once you get registered, the process becomes more difficult to get into your assigned site. The roads are narrow and turning into site is difficult. Once you get set up, you will notice the sites are fairly close together. The surrounding views are terrific! They do have a large enclosed dog run. Ok park for an overnighter but tight getting in and close to your neighbors.
Service very friendly, food we ordered to go only had one out of four meals correct. 2 meals, were not even what was ordered, the third meal was missing the toast. Nothing was cooked as we ordered.
The food was good and the workers were nice and polite
Nice local place to hang, gamble, shop or hideout if youre from town & just dont want to be bothered by the usual suspects....Hell its damn near out of state!
Clean spots, clean facilities, a nice little dog run, and the camp host was nice. It was a great stop over.
A decent place,. It stay far away from the restaurant! The deli is very good.
The restaurant in the casino serves great, affordable comfort food. The staff is very friendly. This is worth a stop whether coming or going.
Service makes the place good is good for the price.
Myself and 3 of my friends went in there the other night i sat at a machine playing nickle 4 4 card keno after about 45 miutes and $40 in i had yet to see a coctai waitres so i walked over to the bar and before i could speak the bar tender who i later found out was a manager blurts out if you order at the bar i will charge you for your drink i replied i was going to ask if you could send a waitress by that ive been at the machine over there for about 45 minutes and had yet to see anyone. Could you please send one over. I wasnt rude i wasnt irate or disrespectful in any way i returnd to play the rest of my now third 20 i put in. thats when my friend who was sitting on the other side of the bar came running over with the look of panic asking what i had said to the bartender because he is on the phone calling the police. I went back up to the bar to find out what.was up he wouldnt say anything the other bartender cashed out my ticket i asked what was up he said i dont know man inm sorry i asked what the guys name was he said hes the the boss. And wouldnt tell me. I never found out why he would call the police. Probably.for felony receiving bad customer service. Not.sure and dont really care we went to circus circus and i lost $400 but atleast the service was great. I will never be going back or tell any friendship to go to border town ever again. I later found out that this guys name was darrel or darren and he liked to abuse his power because his famiky owns the place. I think he is a punk and probably looses his family more than he makes them.
Deborah Modgling, we stayed 4-23-2017 through 4-26-2017 in a 36 ft 5th wheel. Very sweet man in the RV office. The park is very nice. Has a fenced dog run. Laundry and showers were very clean. Casino is small, but had a great time playing. The restaurant was ok. Has a convenient store with everything you need plus fuel. Great place. Would stay again if ever through here.
Stopped at RV park To dump motorhome after camping nice people clean restrooms
Rudest bartenders in the Reno area.
Have been coming here for years, good food and friendly staff
The park is very nice, however the casino is too smokey to even walk through. The restaurant was terrible, wilted salads and over baked potatoes, would not eat there again.
Worst place to gamble in Nv. and the bartenders charge you for drinks even if you are playing, betting on sports, and/or ordering food. Im sorry I left a tip.
Good food and fun machines
Nice Quant place with very nice people.
Food at the Kafana restaurant is fantastic. Staff is very friendly.
Food is not all that great, which is too bad if you are one that lives out at Cold Springs because there is not really any great options unless you get on the free way and head back towards Reno.Of course if the service was a little better the quality of the food wouldnt be as big of a deal.Just a tip if you go there. Unless Starla is working and you get seated in her area just walk out.
Very friendly place and a pretty good sandwich place inside
Great sandwiches! But fix your concrete in front; I fell and hurt myself bad.
Good place to get hammered. Food is ok
Food okay but love the gift shop
As far as breakfast goes, this place is great!
Dont bother if you have an older rig. Called to inquire about pricing. Rude and was told not to bother because our rig is an 81. Our rig is a vintage Prevost..
This place is so cheap that they will not give a veteran a discount on Veterans day
Food was OK, service is mediocre, no cocktail service in gaming area.
Good place to get a cheap breakfast
It was terrible the slots are not very good and they are dated, the employers are friendly but I guess you would be friendly too if you were taking everyones money with no payouts .
Celebrate my bday
Monday is dollar taco day.
Everything is good with you guys!!!
