The doctors office is a SCAM!! Call back for prescription and they want to pretend there was never an exam! I think I would know exactly what I was there for and what services were rendered. They just want to get you back in for more money. Never again with this company!!
Nikki was so helpful and patient with us! We got two pairs of glasses and made sure they were adjusted properly, gave us cases and cloths, and overall just made our experience very pleasant.
Worst eye doctor Ive ever been to. Do you wear contacts and would like to save money and fuss by buying daily wear lenses from a contact lens company (hubble, 1800 contacts etc)? Go elsewhere. This place is only interested in you buying the ultra expensive name brand contacts from them. Dont believe the front desk girl either, you wont get them cheaper if you buy from them. Oh want to switch your rx to daily wear instead of two week? You have to come back in for an out of pocket contact lens exam. Gtfo, Ill go back to ordering my lens from daysoft in Scotland. No rx needed and you get them in two weeks. Oh and over $140 cheaper than what they offer. Contrary also to what they say, they are completely safe, Ive worn them for 10 years. Only reason I went here was to see if my rx had changed. And it didnt. Bottom line dont waste your time. Pritchard eye care in Moana has a wonderful doctor and the staff are polite and extremely helpful. Even the Dr in Lens Crafters gave a more thorough exam than this Dr.Edited to add I just ordered my contacts from daysoft.com and they were $6.99 for a box of 32 lenses and $4 shipping. 2 boxes of contacts shipped for less than $20. Do the math, for 6 months of contacts thats still cheaper than the $160 they wanted to have me pay for 6 months of 2 week wear contacts. Less than $120 for dailies, I can save money on contact solution and cases.
Wow, Im new to needing glasses. But they seem terribly expensive. Gimmicky sales buy one get one half off. How about just sell a pair at a decent price.
Just wondering why it cost about twice as much for insurance holders than it does for cash payers. Seems like they take the money lost from giving cash payers discounts and jack up prices for the insurance. It was going to cost me a total of $850 for a pair of glasses to which the frames were $159 (40% discount for non-insured). Total out-of-pocket would be $250. I took my prescription and found better frames with the same lens specifications for just $85. Not sure if the quality for online prescriptions is the same but for that price its worth a try especially when glasses typically last me only a year
The glasses are junk glasses, price is sky high, after one day of hardly wearing the glasses I found a scratch on them which I think came from the manufacturer, when I pick my glasses up they rushed me out really quick, I can get a better pair of glasses buying them off the rack at Walmart or the dollar store and would have saved almost $1,000
Would give a zero if possible. Ordered progressive glasses and prescription sunglasses. They ordered the wrong frames for the the progressive glasses, sunglasses were fine, said they would expedite The glasses. Two weeks later they called and said my glasses were in ( not much of a rush to get them replaced). I went to the store to pick up my progressive glasses and they had reordered the sunglasses, not progressives. Again said they will put a rush on the order. I had called the store a week earlier and the associate put me on hold. After about 10 minutes on hold, he told me to call back in an hour, they were too busy to help me right now. Hopefully it won’t be two weeks before I get my glasses. We’ll see.

Wish I didnt have to pick 1 star.. the man was so rude when I walked up to get my 2 set of glasses set with new lens for new RX .. YOU have to make an appt ... really? I live 160 miles away ... SOOO he says... ugghhh is everyone just getting to be so rude lately.. Did you not have another appt say like in a hour i could have came back from like having lunch?
Disorganized, disrespectful and very slow. No lab, cant adjust and fit your new glasses. Wants to charge top price while providing a limited service.
I just want to say that I think this is a great place to go get glasses. Even though they dont take my insurance they were still willing to work with me and be sympathetic towards my situation with a different company that actually led me to Vision Works great customer service. Thank you again for helping me and my family with our prescriptions.
This is for both the optometrist and the separate business of glasses next door. I have a medical note stating I cant wear a mask. Renown accommodates the note, has been awesome. ROC, Reno Orthopaedic Clinic, accommodates my note, again awesome. I read the governors mandate. Obviously others havent. It is a violation of ADA to not accept the note. I get praises from other customers for standing up for myself, but its hard. I relive my trauma everytime. There was one lady here at the optometrist office with an orange brown shirt working yesterday and she actually cared. As for the rest, no. The other lady in that side tried to salvage in the end, but I could hear them, her and Doc taking about me in the outside the exam room. Miss my old Optometrist. This guy was quick and impersonal.On the glasses side, the manager, Nikki, swooped in right away about the mask and was telling me to leave before I even had a chance to speak. Weve been coming here to buy glasses for years. This will be the last time.On a general customer service level, our appt was at 1pm, we, my daughter and I werent seen until after 2pm and not done and over to glasses until after 3pm. I set this up to work with my daughters ortho appointment way on the other side of Reno at 4pm. We barely made it.

Both my Husband and Son have worked with Debbie and I’m planning to switch over from my long time eye doctors office. The doctors office after next door is great as well. We feel very comfortable here and everyone is so kind.

The best Visionworks Ive been to hands down. Brittany has gone up and over the moon just to get me into a pair of super cute glasses, and is full of smiles as well. Definitely recommend.
Thank you for turning a not so fun chore into a wonderful experience. I walked in and Brittany was quick to help me. I explained my wish list items for a new pair of glasses and she was on it. Also she got super busy and juggled all of her clients with patience and professionalism. Brittany is a true asset and the team at vision works is always friendly. In July of 2012, my wife and myself purchased two pairs of glasses under Vision Works buy one pair and get a second for free. The clerk assured us that we would only half to pay a small co-pay. Well about a month later we received a statement from our insurance company. It turned out that the insurance co was the one only paying a small portion of the balance. Our out of pocket expense ended up being 423 dollars on a 523 balance. DO NOT LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOU check with your insurance co first.They will tell you what you want to hear to sell glasses.Additionally, we ordered Transitions lenses and paid extra for them. When we received the glasses something seemed to be wrong about the transitions lenses, we just figured that we just thought there wasnt enough sunlight for the glasses to darken.Today I went to have my frames adjusted and inquired about the transitions lenses. The clerk checked them under some sort of special light and sure enough, they were not transitions lenses. The clerk checked our account to see if we had paid for transitions lenses and it showed we had indeed paid for them on both pairs. The clerk then went and spoke to the manager who came over with a different set of frames and said that these were the frames we ordered and that they did not sell frames like mine and never have and that these were not the pair we purchased there. I replied that I was not in the habit of buying extra pairs of glasses and that this was just not possible. They refused to budge on the matter and just let me leave the store without trying to resolve anything.Never again will I have anything to do with these double talking liars and would advice anyone else to do the same.

Tried to do the survey but neither phone nor tablet will take ID#. Anyway very, very happy with entire experience from Dr. Cady, the incredible Delma who helped me get the right glasses at the right price and knows eye and fit perfectly and her patient education on how progressives work was so helpful and I believe the man Chris who fitted me when I pucked them up made sure all was to my satisfaction. As a medical professional you can be sure I will refer patients to you. Very pleased.

After a disastrous experience at Americas Best across the street, I ended up here because they take my insurance. I did not make an appointment, just walked in, but was seen very quickly.From the first second I was greeted with a smile, and the General Manager (not the one mentioned in an earlier review) got me all signed in and ready to see the doctor. We share a birthday and we chatted for a bit, he was a nice guy and put me at ease.Dr. Kerry Jarvis was phenomenal and after going back today for my contact lens follow up and meeting with her again, I am thrilled to have lucked out on such a great doc.Because they did not have my exact prescription available for a trial pair at the time, they gave me one as close as they had to wear until my new trial came in. I also ordered a 6 month supply to use my insurance benefits before the end of the year. All in all, I got 2 extra months of contacts at no cost.Other vision places will give you a hard time when you ask for your prescriptions but Dr. Jarvis wrote both my glasses and contact prescriptions up and gave them to me without me even asking, leaving me free to shop at a competitor if I want to.All in all a fantastic experience.

Worst place to get your glasses. About a year ago i had went in and purchased a pair of glasses. The lady who sold it to me kept upselling the anti-glare film for the glasses. I finally said yes, only with the promise that if i ever had issues with my glasses i could return them. Well its been a year and these glasses look awful. The film is fading off and if the sun hits my glasses you cant even see my eyes! I called them explaining what happened and telling them ive been extremely busy and havent found time to come in. The guy told me if i hadent waited so long they could have done something, but i waited past 3 months and now they cant do anything.Never bringing my business back to that cheap place.
I went to buy glasses with their BOGO deal. Found two frames (one to be my dailies and one to worn occasionally) and ordered them 8/20/18. Joy told me that my daily pair would be ready the next day 8/21/18, which was perfect for me, but instead they made the wrong pair. Joy then promised me that the daily pair would be ready the day after that (today, 8/22/18) and when I called to inquire about what time they would be ready for pickup the woman who answered the phone said that they didnt even have the lenses for my glasses and couldnt give me an estimate on when they would be ready. Very unhappy with these people and their false promises. They dont even include a cleaning cloth in the case when you buy glasses, which Ive gotten everywhere else that Ive purchased eyeglasses.** UPDATE**Today (8/24/18) I went in to ask when my daily pair would be ready and they already were. Joy helped me get them fit to my face and made sure I left with cleaning cloths.
Customer service was NONE! After waiting more then two hours just to have service, sales rep was beyond rude. With so many competitors within the area, dont bother with this place. After the service rep tried to force me buy an upgrade that I refused, he told me I could go somewhere else. Wont be spending my money here.

The first time I got my glasses there was okay the second time the lenses were scratched so they had to repair them now I went to go use my warrantee that I bought for my new pair to repair and replace the lenses that I have. So I guess what again they scratched the lenses whenever cutting them. Now I have to wait another 10 days most likely until they get the new lens in

They throw out customers exams and eye information every 2 or 3 months!!! Unethical and horrible! I needed that info!! Im all out of contacts and cant see without glasses! I dont plan on ever going back there, at this point!!!!!!
