I have never regretted choosing Reno Family Eye Care! I’ve been seeing them for 6 years now & will continue to do so for many years to come. Front desk is nice, support staff is knowledgeable, and I love Dr. Smith. She is always friendly and I enjoy having her as my doctor. My script is always clear after an exam and they have a wide variety of glasses to choose from. My husband used to go somewhere else until I sent him to pick up my sunglasses for me once and he immediately decided he wanted to be a patient there too. Highly recommend anyone to go to them!

They were wonderful! My husband and I switched from another office due to some issues we had with the front staff. The staff and doctor at this office impressed us right away and were so nice and welcoming. They walked us through every step and made sure we felt comfortable and happy with our visit all the while staying professional yet relaxed. And they are open on Saturdays! We love this office and will stay patients for as long as we live in Reno.

I started to go to Reno family eye care 3 years ago, twice for myself, once for my 4 years old daughter and my husband visits them about 5 times. All in all its a nice place. I am not a picky person but I think they treated me who is pregant 30 weeks and my daughter unfairly today when they are scared of the COVID-19. Last Saturday 16th, my 4 years old needed an eye check so follow the appointment from 11 am we finished until 1 pm. Because of my husband got diagnosed ULCERATIVE COLITIS when he did colonoscopy last month, plus he only had a glass of smoothie after he got up, he doesnt feel well when the time reach 1 pm. So he complained his unwell feeling in the eye care before we left. We saw front desk lady Judy or Julie, eye glasses helper I forgot to ask her name, Joshua- kind of a nurse before the doctor or a person knows how to use machine to do examination and my daughters eye doctor. Then Monday 18th, I went in there with my daughter without following their policy of WAlK IN ALONE, the front desk lady asked if we have any sickness in my whole family, I said NO because of I dont think bowel infection counts for this question, later after the front desk lady asked Doctors words that he doesnt mind to see me and my daughter, I started my eye checking with them. So before the doctor, still Joshua helped me with the machine part and talked about purpose for today which is get a pair of glasses. After Joshua left, me and my daughter waited for 5 to 10 minutes and then the front desk lady walked in the checking room with a doctor started accusing me that I am lying about NOBODY IS SICK in my family. Said her staff told her my husband mentioned about he doesnt feel well on Saturday then use the COVID-19 CDC policy, send me and my daughter out in the middle of eye exam. They misunderstood the whole situation, and I totally understand they are aware of safety stuff. All I want to say is: Please think with your brain, who will do the weird stuff like harm all your eye care center staff with a baby in tummy for 30 weeks and with a 4 years old girl? And especially choose here to start? If they send me out when I am checking in with my daughter, I will think they really trying to keep people safe from the virus. But in the middle of the exam, so RUDE. Thats all. What I can do, so i didnt argue and left without saying anything because i dont want to hurt my daughters little mind. My daughter knows mamas eyes got checked today with the eye doctor and she told grandparents all about it. Its sad that this kind of JUNK happened in my life. I will try to forgive you and move on. Good day.

These guys are great and Dr Smith is really terrific. They dont try to upsell continuously like many places. Latest technology for your eye evaluation which was not the case when I brought my son elsewhere because we werent able to get in to see Dr Smith within the window of time we had to work with for him. Huge difference.

Being a mid 20s bachelor with little to no fashion sense, Dana was honest, friendly, and helpful in helping me pick frames that fit my face.Glasses arrived ahead of schedule their scheduled time, and even though there was a mix up with the lab, Christina had them rush ordered and I had my glasses back with the appropriate prescription within 2 days.

I was initially intimidated when I walked in, it looked like somewhere you could only get prescription glasses, but the lady at the desk called me over and when I told her I didnt want prescriptions, there was no hesitation when she told me I could still look around! Having needed an exam, I decided to try out Reno Family Eye Care given they were under my insurance and very close to my residence. Theyre office is incredibly clean and professional and everyone that I worked with were pleasant and easy to get along with. Both Dr Smith and Nancy, the two that helped me through my exams, were very knowledgeable and made the whole process incredibly simple. I think the only difficult part of the visit was choosing new frames for my glasses.The have a decent selection of frames with a wide enough variety for men (cant say what the womens selection was like), but dont go in expecting a big wall like say Lenscrafters or even Sears.

Had a fantastic experience! Everyone is extremely patient and thorough in their care and explanations. Would recommend their services to anyone!

I really enjoyed my experience at Reno family eye care. The staff are professional yet fun - Dr. Smith, Madi and Dana in particular were able to be professional about my visit and still laugh and joke with me and treat me like a human being (I am quite the jokester). They were able to correct a prescription error from my former optometrist no sweat-and Madi even helped me pick out my new favorite frames ever! I strongly recommend them.
