Its a tragedy the owners/the men behind the register act like men children. They have zero customer service and wont bother to explain things to younger kids who want to learn about comics and the games that they sell in the store. Zero customer service. My son was asking questions like what items he would need to play the game and they seemed bothered to explain what he would need. I spent over $200 on items and Im still not sure we have what we need to play. Items are overpriced, the building is old and musty, the items are dusty like theyve been sitting on shelves for years. My youngest son bought a Batman figure that had gum in it and the gum was old. Instead of helping their customers the owners sit in the middle of the store and play like grown men children. Not much of a selection very limited items not a lot of Marvel/DC figures or anything that would attract younger buyers. There was some models painted by the register my son was looking at them and the man behind the register said not for sale. Instead of coming to interact and showing him what he needed to paint his own. Okay, we were just looking we didnt ask if they were for sale. They did not have bags so we carried $200 of items in our arms to our car. I would not come here again because bottom line poor customer service. I would only come if my son specifically asked me to.

Decent comic shop! Not many big keys but a little of everything. Dollar bins were Nice! Very clean store. Staff seemed knowledgeable on their products. 👌

I really want to give this business glowing reviews, and I want to support Cody and local businesses, however, I just cant go to Comic Kingdom if I want anything other than paint. Its quite, its calm, most of the patrons are alright. But my preorders go unfulfilled, and a lot of the product I enjoy isnt ever sold there. You often get the classic retail line about no one buys it, but when 80% of the time you walk in and theres no product, then how are we expected to buy?However, if you want a game the owner is playing, then you will find it. It is kinda clique, as you will walk in some nights and find so many game groups, yet good luck joining any. They have their friends and they know who they are.I guess the comic side of things is pretty cool, I just dont read them myself but I do note that friends who do have had zero issues with the store and gotten their orders on time.I guess I would say its a quaint shop, but temper your expectations as a tabletop gamer.

This place has tons of comics and Warhammer stuff. They do have a selection of Magic: The Gathering cards, but it seems to be a small amount. But they do have a ton of different sleeve options. The staff was nice. Not a bad place to shop for your nerdy needs.

The store has always been a great help to me, no matter if Im looking for paint for miniatures or MTG cards. I like supporting them and hope they continue staying in business for a long time.

I visit here once a week. The selection is amazing, staff is extremely nice, everything is very well-organized. Comic Kingdom makes it hard for me to not buy everything I see. Definitely recommend.

Cool little store, lots of comic books and board games. I was there about 45 minutes with a friend (its a bit too hard core type gaming for me personally) and no one said a single word to me or asked if I needed help so hopefully you know what you want and where to find it. Other than that, they had a lot of variety and some cool little knick knacks.

Had everything I was looking for and more. The staff are super friendly and helpful.

This was my first time in a comic book store, and it was a really good experience. I was greeted immediately. I wandered around for a few minutes, and then the associate asked if I needed help. He took me to a few places in the store that had what I was looking for, and I ended up buying several comics. They have a great selection and prices that fit every budget. Seriously, even if you only have a dollar, you can buy something.

I am not a comic book junkie, I was just looking to buy some sleeves. The young man who was helping me was extremely knowledgeable about the products and genuinely friendly. Even though I am not a gamer, he was still nice to me and I never felt dumb or unwelcome. Its a cute little spot with tables where you can sit while you browse, and they host various community events related to gaming. Highly recommend.

To be honest, this is kind of a relative 5 stars. I love Comic Kingdom - the staff are nice and knowledgeable, their stock is good and varied, they have tables set up for a lot of space to play games with friends, and there are a handful of pinball machines in the back, which is always fun. However, its hard not to give it a 5, as one of the only such stores in the area! Some competition wouldnt hurt, but as it is, Comic Kingdom is a great place to hang out and play games!

I appreciate the newly centralized (and expanded?) board game selection and table space. I bring my little brother here and we usually have a good time but the staff does absolutely nothing to make your time in their store positive. Theyre not horrible people - they pretty much just ignore everyone until forced to interact. Management could take this store to the next level with a little customer service.

This is my Go to hobby shop for miniature and table top wargame supplies, core sets and new releases. They are professional and always friendly, if you have questions or need any help understanding a game or game play they can or will help you method and turn base rollplay. Ive been going here for years.

This place is the best comic book store in town. They sell MTG singles for good prices and have a great game selection. We bought 50 singles for $7. Now I am set for a great weekend full of Magic and painting. Thanks!

The staff is super helpful and friendly. I asked so something specific and they brought me straight to what I was looking for. The store looks a bit run down from the outside but has a huge selection of board games, dice games and card games.Im not into comics so I cant comment on their comics selection but they seemed to have many comics.

This store used to be good, now theyre kinda empty. They dont usually get new stuff but just sell whatever they have a bunch of or what didnt sell for them. Its super dry and if you ask for help looking for specific item they get mad at you for doing so with a are you going to buy or not!? Might revisit once they get back in shape. They need new inventory and place became disorganized like a thrift store.

My son really wanted to come here and finally made the time to go. Theres a big variety of comics, games and they even had tables set up where there was a group playing their games. Very friendly.

It was nice because of the cleanliness and the free game play in the back. Not so good is that the guy opened late and didnt talk to us or offer help or recommendations. Also, the cooler is cranked up so it is cold like the tundra. I will definitely go back again.

I worked in Reno briefly and I liked this store. They have a great selection of comics. The people working there were cool and pretty knowledgeable. There was a 1st appearance of Thor (Journey into Mystery etc etc) for sale. Oh my!!!!

Best comic store EVER! I have recently moved to California a few months ago and the thing I miss the most about Reno is the comic book store. All the comic stores in Cali offer the same products but the layout of Comic Kingdom is just way better to understand and Cody is really good about making honest recommendations and helping you find something you will like. It is also a good spot for anybody who wants to learn to play card games, board games or just get introduced into comics. Its like the CHEERS of the comic stores....Miss this place fosho.

Their atmosphere has certainly improved. Ive been looking for a gaming store for 40k, since Heroes closed... and they have terrain and tables! It doesnt cost anything and they have mtg, all sorts of cool stuff

I experienced some dishonesty from this store, which is disappointing. its a great shop in terms of selection but i almost bought an old wall book for what seemed like a good deal, only to find that there was a page missing after leafing through it.the defect was not noted on the price tag, as is standard store etiquette, and when i pointed it out to the clerk he said that the owner knew the page was missing and thats why it had the lower price. to me, that kind of thing is not okay.yes, the customer has a responsibility to inspect what he/she is buying, especially when its a 50-year-old comic, but the retailer has a very serious responsibility to not deceive its customers, intentionally or not.this was the only negative experience i had here but its a pretty serious one and, unfortunately, makes me not want to go back.

This comic store can sometimes be a little elitist. Though I do like the stuff for the most part and Ive had most good interactions, sometimes they try to talk over you and do the geek thing. They forget themselves in customer service.

Its.so.big. they have gaming tables for tournaments. Today they had Star Wars tournament and free comic book day. Worth the drive.

Was just out there for a family reunion and stumbled across this gem of a store. The place is packed with everything from comics, cards, paints and miniature games. Tons of space filled with gaming tables that have terrain available for wargaming, as well as plenty of standard tables for board games, card games, and even RPGs!The owners/employees were all super friendly and helpful. Definitely will be coming back to this spot when Im in Reno again.If youre into gaming and you find yourself in the area, definitely do yourself a favor and check it out!
