Excellent customer service. While I was waiting for my car I watched Lithia personnel interact with young to old. They were respectful and patient. I didn’t see any angry customers. I also noted how comfortable the chairs were, a huge free bottled water fridge and not the tiny bottles either. I had to wait over two hours for an upgrade on my radio and it was maybe not fun, but comfortable and I’m back to streaming my audio books.
My Service advisor Justin D. was so amazing. From my previous experience working for a different dealership the service departments always have a bad rep but Justin assured me every step of the way and gave me faith that Reno Subaru Service Center is really here for their clients not just for a paycheck. Justin was so amazing and made it as if I was getting help from a friend. Thank you so much Justin! I highly recommend Justin to be your service advisor when you visit the Reno Subaru Service Center!
I was treated like a valued customer, especially by Service Advisor Scott McDuffie. He helped with a rental from Lithia since I was not prepared to leave my car and as I lived two hours away. He said they would know what needed to be done within 2 business days. He notified then and said they wanted to double check the issue again the next day and he called and said my Subaru was ready to go. It was a breeze turning in the rental and getting my car back. Dont buy used cars here . Bought a car and already had issues 3 days later. I took it for repair, got it back with scratches on the exterior and ink stains on the interior. No, they didnt even apologize. Then I had to take it again a couple of days later for the same issue. They have kept my car for 2 weeks on this last repair and refuse to let me know when I will get it back. Now they are saying they are going to replace the motor on this car, ARE YOU KIDDING ME? (when they sold it to me, they assured it was checked and was in working conditions) Aside from all this, I am being discriminated during the whole process. Purchsed the car a month ago and they have had it longer than me. I asked to speak to the manager on several occasions to get help and they wont let me speak with anyone but the service advisor. I am still waiting for a call back from the manager. DONT DO BUSINESS WITH WITH THESE GUYS.
They have really stepped up the waiting time game! I was in and out within an hour for my 12000 mile service with the waiting room full. Hugo was exceptional with customer service.
Overall the service was OK. The issue we experienced was with a tire replacement. We were told it was ordered on a Friday and should be in no later than Tuesday. Unfortunately, it took 6 days (Thursday) before the tire arrived. We also do not know if the tire rotation was fully completed as the new tire is in the same position as the spare. While the repairs were completed the communication was not the best.
Great experience! Brittany in the service department was great; she helped check me in for my scheduled oil change. She was friendly, bright eyed and made the experience so much more enjoyable compared to a previous visits.

Everyone at this Subaru dealership genuinely love what they do. They work so incredibly hard, despite the long list of cars and customers they need to serve. I went for a recall and had to go back a few times due to the device not working the first two times (and it’s quite a drive for me), and it was worth it every time. They kept my car clean, safe, and communicated with my regularly!I also got to bring my dog inside and wait!I personally worked with Hugo and talk about AMAZING PERSON AND CUSTOMER SERVICE! Had to have the transmission replaced within a short time of undercarriage repair, head gaskets, timing belt and a few other incidentals on a 2008 Outback. (College student) His first Subaru, also 2008 Outback saved his life after cartwheeling 8 times before coming to rest on all 4 wheels.Dealt with Scott in the service department and was professional and personal every time. Gave us approximate numbers and advised of th extended time frame due all the shipping BS going on. Less than 2 weeks the tyranny came in and was placed in a single day.I was having a double Mastectomy during all this and he always asked how I was doing. Our son is finishing at UNR and Lithia Subaru will be our shop regardless! Thanks so much to an exceptional business.
I went to the dealership with my sister who was getting her car serviced and decided to look at the vehicles in the lot. I was met by a really nice sales person, Shelley Thomas, who was totally no pressure and answered all my questions. After driving the Subaru I was looking at I was sold. Shelley was very thorough in explaining all the how to’s and followed up with me to make sure I was satisfied with my purchase. I would shop with them again!
Inexperienced and/or incompetent service technicians that fail to identify safety issues and deceptive sales practices. In 2 months I have taken my 2016 WRX in 3 times. The first for a routine oil change and inspection, the 2nd time to correct a loose lug nut that Lithia Reno Subaru failed to torque correctly on the previous visit, as well as to replace rear brake pads which were in fact at 3mm and in the replace immediately range despite Lithia Reno Subaru indicating them at 6mm and in the green range during the previous visit. On the 3rd visit, I was charged nearly 50% more than first quoted for a 60k mile service due to the service advisor taking it upon himself to recommend services himself that Subaru of America does not recommend. At no point was it indicated these were personal recommendations or Lithia Reno Subaru recommendations, not Subaru of America recommendations. I did not find this out until after the fact from doing my own research. Going to get your car serviced, you need to be able to have peace of mind that your car is in good mechanical condition after getting scheduled maintenance and inspections done. You should also have confidence in the ethics of the service advisors you do business with. In my experience, you wont find either at Lithia Reno Subarus service department.
Subaru is very customer oriented. Their vehicles are full of high tech safety and comfort features; very reliable;and perfect for any season - especially in the mountains. They treat return customers like close family. I trust the Subaru to deliver the best possible driving experience. They rock!
My service advisor, Adam, was helpful and courteous. The service department was extremely busy since many people were getting service done in case they had to evacuate due to fires in the area. In spite of the crowd, my car was serviced in the time I expected. I especially liked the layout of the check in area with with multiple check in counters. I will return to Lithia rather than going for service closer to home. Great experience!
Me and my husband went to look at a new future car no one came up to us as we where looking we walked inside hoping to catch someones attention the staff was far busy talking amongst themselves to pay us any mind it was as if we where invisible or not worthy enough to be there clients
I wanted a newer car that was a little bigger than my current older Forester to make it easier for my husband to get in and out of. I had to order my Forester and it was delivered within two weeks with everything I wanted plus more. The sales associate, Hagen, was very helpful and made the purchase extremely easy. I’m very happy with my new Forester and am still learning new things about it.

I have been to this dealership service center once with my crosstrek over a year ago and I paid way over the price for a oil change than I would pay in Carson City. Now I have a WRX which I bought in C.C. because of that 1 experience. I had to get a oil change desperately. The service guy came and told me I needed a new filter and by his tone I felt he wasnt being sincere. When I went to pay it was $250!!!!! I fell so violated!! Total scam! I will never go back again!!

Adam the service advisor that helped us was great and quickly walked us through the service and got us in our way. The only problem was the slow check in process where we waited for someone to be available. One person said they’d be right with us but 8 of the 10 folks seemed to disappear right before our turn. We had an appointment and I would think you should be able to walk in and get helped at the appropriate time not 15 minutes later. Adam earned Subaru the stars not the service department.

We just purchased our 5th car at Lithia with Cosmine. He is very straight forward. We called in advance to tell him the car we wanted. He recommended putting a deposit because of current supply shortages. We did, and our car arrived shortly thereafter. Our trade-in was smooth as well.
My headlights were very dim. I stopped into Lithia Subaru and within an hour and a half the service department had replaced the bulbs. They also installed a new rear wiper blade that I had in my car at no charge.I had called another repair shop and was told they couldn’t get me in until September 11th.Super happy that I was taken care of promptly!

(If I could give less than one star I would) Do not service your vehicle, or purchase one here they are the worst, I have a 2020 Ascent, and a 2021 Forester both purchased from Michael Hohl but I live in Reno now and has an appointment to get my 6K maintenance at Lithia on my 2021 Forester I purchased a service package (that is good for any Subaru service center) Lithia would not honor it and the their service advisor was rude, cocky, and very unhelpful worst customer service I have experienced in quite sometime. I called back after I was treated rudely to speak to a Manager and the person on the phone tried to help but said there was no Manager working (I find that strange) Needless to say I will never have my vehicles serviced and will never purchase a vehicle from Lithia again.

I always have a good experience at Subaru but… with my last routine oil change I was informed I needed filters changed of course at an added charge which isn’t an issue but later in in the day when my husband was riding in the passenger seat he discovered my new filter on the floor that was never put it. I love Subie and always take it for maintenance to keep it running smoothly but now I’m questioning if all of the things are getting done properly/correctly as they say they are.
My first time here and I was impressed! David,Fred and Alex made me feel so comfortable asking for help to change my license plate that had extra security screws. I was exhausted from work and stopped by and they were so genuine and made me smile and laugh(much needed)David gave me not one but two water bottles because of how hot it was today. I will be coming back to this dealership because of the amazing customer service I received. I called on the phone and the manager Bob helped me find out who these three great workers are and was he was also very kind. Showed up a bit early and was greeted by David who is a very personable and knowledgeable young man. Was sent to Ashley to fill in the paperwork and discuss what the car was in to have serviced. It was there I learned the lifetime oil changes are no more! Some things are too good to last I suppose. I requested both filters be changed due to extreme smoky skies and retreated to the waiting lounge. Less than thirty minutes later the car was finished and I was able to go about my business.
The service department is absolutely terrible here, Jerry in particular. I brought my car in the afternoon on a Tuesday. Told me they could not get to my car that day because they were slammed, what is the point of an appointment then? I also had to wait two weeks to even get the appointment. On Wednesday he called me to tell me the issue and that he was playing phone tag with the warranty company. Finally Thursday morning I missed a call about providing my credit card to pay for my repair at approx. 9:30am. I called back 15 minutes later and only got voicemail so I left a message. I then called every hour until 3pm, I tried his direct line and the main line. When I got someone on the main line they refused to help me get to someone that I could give my credit card number to so work could begin on my car because only Jerry could take my payment. He finally called back after 6pm but was too late to start work on my car that day. He promised to call first thing on Friday to charge my card and let me know work had started, he did not call. He did however call after the shop had closed to let me know my car was done but I could not pick it up since they were again closed. I have no qualms that it takes time to do these things but I do expect to be able to get a hold of someone that can help me and take my money. This service department is absolutely terrible at communicating or answering their phone, I will try Carson next time maybe they will be better.

Brought my 2020 Forester in for an oil change, tire rotation, and 12-month service. They were busy since they are the only subie dealer in town, but the wait was still under an hour. Waiting area is comfy enough and clean, and spread out enough to help with social distancing. Quick and friendly service. Even if they weren’t the only dealer in town I’d still have my car serviced there.

I have been to several subaru dealerships in Salt Lake City, UT and Boise, ID for services for my 2019 Forester Sport as they are the closest dealerships to where I live. Lithia Reno Subaru is by far the best service I have received, next to Boise, ID. My family and I were headed to California for vacation and stopped to overnight in Reno before heading to our vacation destination and we had an unexpected, untimely event that resulted in a damaged bike, severely damaged crossbars, and broken moon roof. Lithia Reno Subaru was very helpful and gave us a vehicle to continue our trip on while our car awaited repair. They exceeded my expectations and turned the start of a nightmare trip into a better experience. They also asked around and found out which bike shops were best in town for our carbon frame bike so that the structure and integrity could be inspected for damage. I am now considering the extra drive time for every service for my vehicle!
Shelly experience. was helpful right away and got me into new Subaru Outback while helping me get out of my old vehicles never-ending payments! She noticed features that I may or may not want to have in my new vehicle--it was a great experience. Doha and Evan in finance were great!

I bought my car here after going back and forth between here and Michael Hohl. Lithia had the lowest price overall, but also their salesperson treated me like an intelligent human and didn’t try to belittle me or pull one over my head like the salesperson at Hohl did. I recently came in to get my car serviced and had just had a ton of blood taken and was feeling woozy, and one of their nice techs gave me some of his lunch. Another arranged a loaner for me (which I needed for an extra day due to my toddler being sick, and they were totally fine with it). Overall great sales and great service and great customer support. My husband bought his car here in 2019 and also had had nothing but good things to say.

I had problems with a previous car I bought from them 14 years ago, not honoring their certified vehicle warranty, but hoping things had changed I reached out to find out the cost of a lease on a 2021 vehicle they advertise in stock. After back and forth with the Lease department, they refuse to quote me a well qualified lease price unless I come in and let them run my credit. They can advertise base model leases all day long on TV and radio with the disclaimer (for well qualified purchasers, blah blah blah), but refuse to tell me the well qualified price on a non-base. Ill go to Carson City, Fallon or Roseville and will NEVER do business with these crooks.
I worked with Canin to find the right car. He was helpful and I felt like he really wanted me to get the best car for what I needed and the for the best price. I would definitely do business with him again.

I have been servicing my 2010 Outback @ Lithia since I purchased it from them. The Service Manager, Misty is excellent and throughout my time there I always felt that I was provided with fair and reasonable information from her and never pressured to add services I did not need. My tech this time Kiran was excellent and for an oil change and tire rotation I was in and out in the committed time of 45 min.
Brian was seriously so wonderful and helpful!!! He had made the whole process easier from start to finish. He gave tips on where I should test drive and what to look for. He’s a good person and genuinely wants to help you buy the car that you are looking for. Lithia Subaru is the best dealership in all of Northern Nevada. I wish the folks from their service department can deliver all that they promise you at the point of sale... Put your money where your mouth is, Reno Lithia Subaru. If anything, I as a customer can not stand being lied to, nor should have my job be obscured by their inability to collaborate - communicating with each other. Disgusted and exhausted with being put on hold for 40 minutes, multiple times, and lied to by customer service all day long, I remain in a limbo as of how, or when will I get to work next Monday, Is my car serviced or not, when is it due for an oil change. Is it fixed or not yet... Do I have to call for a rental car and at what time maybe I would have any vehicle to get me to work - as I do have to be responsible and find a substitute if I decide to take my personal day off, giving Reno Lithia Subaru time to investigate where my vehicle was. Overall I see unfair treatment, maybe because I bought their preowned certified, bumper to bumper coverage insurance, and free oil change and checkup program. I am really sorry I did fall for that and will make sure I take my business elsewhere after all.

I have always had Toyota’s and now I love and own a Legacy. So this was my first experience at a Subaru dealership. They were awesome. Professional, courteous and most importantly quick and efficient!My only negative comment would be that Toyota washes your car after being serviced, Subaru did not.

I ordered a manual transmission 2021 Crosstrek from the factory. When it arrived it was an automatic transmission, missing additional options I selected at time of ordering. I was then told that manual transmissions no longer could be ordered, and the base price had gone up $2000 since then as well. My option was to take what theyd given me or walk away with nothing. Its hard not to feel that I was cheated by this dealership and I would not recommend it if you are going to order a car with specific options.
Exceptional! Sal, Randy, Doha, all amazing. When I set foot in there other employees were so willing to help. Sal listened to what I was looking for. From the first phone call I had with Sal, I was confident I was working with an honest person. Everything was so straight forward and easy. Randy the GM was on the floor thanking everyone for their business and it wasn’t just small talk. Doha was straight forward and patient. Like said EXCEPTIONAL!

I was in Reno for a few weeks and realized my car required service under the warranty. One phone call and I was all set for the following morning.Upon my arrival I was worried I’d be leaving my car for at least two days. So many customers all arriving at the same time. I was immediately greeted and checked in which was very nice. Within minutes I had met two very professional and pleasant employees. This was something I wasn’t acclimated to.The service writer finished the check in process and typed out the service order. He said I could wait 2-3 hours of come back when he called. I honestly thought he wouldn’t be calling until late afternoon.To my surprise I was called less than two hours later and picked up my car. Again greeter on my arrival and Hugo gave me a handshake and a thanks for choosing Lithia.All car dealers should be this good!

I bought my car here and regularly come for services here also. My first experience here was not ideal, the salesman was pushy and didn’t really take me seriously, but when I came a different time I had a different salesman who was very friendly and helpful and I ended up buying my crosstrek from him. The service department has always been very helpful to me especially when I had my car window broken into with a boulder. They had my car for a long time but gave me a good deal and did great repairs. My main complaint is when I come for services they regularly smear oil on some part of the interior of my car and they always forget to reset my reminders is the car for the next service. Apart from that the service has always been good and friendly.
Lithia Subaru is great! Service is always efficient and they are trustworthy. I won’t bring my Subaru anywhere else!
The service and parts departments are absolutely terrible. Worst customer service I have come across in a car dealership. They said 3 to 4 days before part is in. I tried calling one day and was on hold for too long almost half hour and gave up. Then called 3 weeks out from being in dealer and the part was there so no one bothered to call . Then the sales department said they could not make the appointment so service department would call. No one called. I have to call today. Ridiculous customer service.
The sales team is great. I found the type of car and got the exact deal I had in mind when I walked in the door. I felt zero pressure and I think they were upfront about everything. I will recommend to all my family and friends.

Great car buying experience! Everyone was very friendly & helpful. Our Sales guy Coco went above & beyond to get us what we needed. Evan was great too. The paperwork was filled out incorrectly. It lists me as the owner when it should be my wife. So, now the registration is in my name, not hers. We had to haggle to get the salesman to agree to have the vehicle detailed to remove the stains in the seats, the car was received with an empty tank of gas, and there are no floor mats. I will be calling in the morning to address these issues.
