Loved that all of the staff were wearing masks throughout the day even with hot weather. Made it feel like a safe environment with the pandemic going on. Bought my textbook for the 2020 fall semester and was welcomed with happy personalities from all the workers. The textbooks were the best prices and I would 100% recommend going there!

Textbook brokers is the best store for college students! Their prices are awesome and the rentals are in great shape. Not only are the prices great, but so is the staff!! TBB staff has always been so sweet. Any questions or concerns I had, they helped me right away. It’s a great/clean environment, super close to campus, and overall just a really awesome book shop.

This is the only place I will go for textbooks. They have so many options, you can buy or rent and you can always defer your payment if you dont have the money for the books right away which is always a good choice if you are relying on financial aid money to buy books! This place has had its ups and downs with line lengths pre-covid, but with the new place and the new procedures of handling the masses of students, everything ran very smoothly, and it doesnt hurt to have a cookie store nearby

Can I just start by saying how much i absolutely love this place!! I have bought every single textbook from them starting freshman year and now that I am in the graduate school, i continue to purchase from them. They always have the best prices, and I love that they have payment plans which ensure that students receive their books for school. This is a place that cares about the students!

Went the first time, waited in line for a super long time. They had a bunch of staff, but could only let so many people in due to COVID which I was fine with, but no one came out to pull my books for me like they used to at the old location. Finally got up after about 15 minutes, only to be told the only book I needed wasn’t in stock. Came back a week later and there were less people both in line and working. Still waited for ages, and when I finally got to checkout I found out why. For some reason, it takes their cashiers about 5 minutes to check you out, and I only had one book. Can’t imagine how long it takes for people who get more than that. Slow service and a very poor system. You’re better off going through amazon or the school bookstore if you ask me.

As a new mom its hard trying to get my textbooks on time, let alone having them personally delivered. I called the shop to ask if my books would be ready for mailing as online classes start earlier than traditional students. The staff was 110% helpful and offered to deliver my books to me at home since I dont like to travel with a newborn son. They were friendly, courteous and even brought me some coupons for future use! I would give 0 stars. They have poor customer service. They said my book was at the store I went to come pick it up and the lady stated that they are closed when they had ten mins before closing. Mind you I live in fernley so I had a drive I had to do. She wouldn’t give me my book. I called the next day and my book I ordered was not available. My class started the next day. This is not the first time this has happened either. The girls in their need an attitude check. I got hung up on when I said I wanted my money refunded. It’s never ending there I’m not goin back.

I ordered $255 worth of books from them online before the spring semester started, dropped a class, and when I went back to return some of my books they wouldnt give me any money back, they wouldnt give me a store credit, nothing. Mind you, this is the SECOND WEEK of school. Its not like I waited very long! They just shrugged and took my books without returning me any money. Thats $60 I cant get back. And for a college student who works to put herself through school- that is a lot of money to me. It astounds me that they treat students like this.UPDATE: I spoke with Jeffrey who apologized and explained that there are policies in place to circumvent what I went through. He then made the situation right by refunding me my money in the form of a store credit (which was what I needed in order to purchase books for a class that I had added to replace the class I had dropped). He was polite, amiable, and worked with me to get the whole thing squared away.

I returned my books almost two weeks late and they gave me a refund on the late charge because they are super nice. Not to mention that they are way cheaper than any other place to rent your books from. If youre in need of some cheap text books from people who care about their customers, please get your books from here.

I accidentally got the wrong version of a book but Brooke and Jeff were very helpful in helping me exchange the book for the correct version! Even though it was over a week later! It was super fast and the staff was very friendly! Highly recommend!

At first I was having a terrible experience but later Jerry, the owner let me know that there are a lot of big changes going on at Textbook Brokers right now to accommodate the growing population we call UNR. Hes an extremely generous guy who cares about his business. Bear with the changes and the masses or talk to somebody and they are more than helpful to help you out.

0 stars if I could!!!!I ordered my books the week before classes began. All but one were available for pick up. I waited almost 6 weeks to get that last texbook. I kept going in and they kept saying they would email me and call when it arrived. I received ONE email. So I go in to get the book and they stated they returned it to the sender. They claimed they called me 3 times (LIE) and charged me a restocking fee ($20.00). This place has always given me problems. NEVER returning to this BS establishment. They should be ashamed!!!!!!!!

I generally like getting my books here but will no longer be a customer. Their only concern now is to get you all of the books on the list (whether you need them or not) and get you to sign up for their charge program. I was not given prices for renting, buying used, or new. The associate grabbed the books, demanded to see my schedule (so he could try to pestle me the other books) and started ranting about how great their charge program is. Its a ploy to get freshmen to defer payment, be stupid about their money, and be indebted to them. Buyer beware, this is no longer a business interested in making a great experience for students.

Honestly, I want to like this place because the pricing is great but I have NEVER had a semester where they did not screw me over. Theyve given me the WRONG textbook multiple times and take WEEKS to give me the right book which I paid hundreds of dollars for. They send out incomplete and incorrect orders repeatedly. I once went two months before they FINALLY got my textbook to me which pretty much tanked my grade. This place is popular because of its affordability but its run by clueless overworked students. Ill change my rating to five freaking stars if they ever get my order to me without any mistakes or delays.
