Practically the only place in town, so whaddaya gonna do? Large selection of cottons mostly. Good kids fabrics and fleece. Good notions and interfacing. The coupon deals are limited (cant use them on sale items). Customer service isnt great, but whaddaya gonna do? Go early to avoid lines at the cutting table. For unique fabrics (upholstery, vinyl, fancy) and a fun, kooky experience, I prefer Mill End Fabrics.

Went in to find fabric glue but they only had a small bottle and no metal tips that are so very popular now. The girls that work there were cheery and helpful to an extent but didnt know much beyond their own expertise. Over all I love going to the fabric or craft store!

I gave this store 3 stars because they dont allow customers to use the restrooms . To me its just being kinda lazy. To my surprise they are one of the only stores Ive been to that doesnt allow it. Makes hard to shop when your about to have an accident. The staff was ok,not overly friendly, but not rude. The store was pretty well.stocked,, but prices were a bit high. Id rather spend my money at The Hobby lobby.This last visit was probably my last. Definitely my last to this location.

I shop here all the time. I don’t live in Carson, I live in Tahoe so when I get to go to Joann Fabrics I spend a lot of time (and money). The ladies are always very nice as well. Prices are great and I always get a discount of some sort.

They are always very busy when I go in, sometimes it can be a long wait to have fabric cut or checking out. Over all a great selection of product and fabric at fairly reasonable prices. With the app there are usually some great coupons available.

Corporate needs to get their sorry butts down and help! Everyone looks dead inside! (Sorry, protective mama came out) Also, hopefully it’s not true but I heard a customer saying they “may” had COVID but “doubts” it’s (I left as soon as I heard that) PLEASE PEOPLE IF YOU THINK YOU HAVE IT STAY HOME, THIS IS LIFE OR DEATH

Dont shop here on a Saturday if you can help it. Looong waits at the cutting table made me leave without my yard goods. And I dont understand why staff trying to troubleshoot a cash register problem would ask a cashier if she had a small screwdriver. Still, good selection of fabric and crafts, and excellent sales.

I really like Joanns, they have quilling supplies,unlike Michaels, and its easier to find people to help you wben you need them. There arent particularly knowledgeable people regarding in depth crafting or product questions, but I I havent seen an art and crafts supply store that does, so they are all three pretty equal in that regard. I like their deals, Id consider them slightly better priced than Michaels, and they have a better paper craft selection, by far. They also have bolt fabric options, more than Hobby Lobby, their only competitor in this area, but their fabric is expensive, but they have coupons for certian fabrics all the time.

Took forever to have my wifes fabric cut. They never have enough staff, store is in need of cleaning or upgrade. Unfortunately pretty much the only place in Reno for fabric etc.

Love this place. My husband is an amateur artist and they always have what he needs whatever the media may be. From polymer clay to paints and canvas, they have it all. if you download the app for Joanns you get lots of coupons that can give you up to 60 percent off. We always come out with great items and tons of savings. The staff is very friendly and always helpful, the only reason not 5 stars is because the lines are usually long to pay and not enough staff for how big the place is.

I ordered a somewhat large purchase 9 days ago for curbside pickup thinking I would have plenty of time before Mother’s Day. Big news!! Today is Mother’s Day and I still do not have my product. Last email I received was on Wednesday telling me my order had been delayed. No other explanation. No phone call. Give me some options people. I should have shopped at the “other” local crafting stores yesterday 5/9/20, as they opened after our lengthy quarantine. I’m very disappointed in myself for putting all my eggs in one basket at Joann’s, but more disappointed in the lack of effort to communicate from Joann’s. Lesson learned.

Nice store with almost everything you could ever need for sewing and crafting. However, sometimes they have a lot of empty spaces on their shelves (like they will be sold out of a color of thread for weeks!). Sign up for their app or to get coupons in the mail. Their coupons are very good - you usually get at least a 40% off coupon for anything in the store or online. Employees are nice and helpful, if you can find one that isnt helping another customer. The worst part is that there is almost always a LONG line to check out.

Not bad for a big box fabric retailer. However, I still think dedicated fabric stores such as Mill End Fabric in Reno have more of a selection and better pricing on things. But with that being said Joann does have more none fabric related items which is nice if thats what you are after.

This is the place for variety of fabrics, tools, and more. Sales items switches around. Employees are kind and friendly.

I wouldnt even give them 1 star if it was possible. I ordered a sewing machine from their website twice. Both times within days of my order, they canceled it. Both times they said they did not have the item. You can NOT trust their website to be accurate. Dont waste your time shopping.

Nice selection but I went in the middle of the day and no kidding, waited in line to pay for over a half hour. They only had one checker. Luckily didnt need any fabric cut or I would have waited for another half hour. They need more staff for this popular location.

I love this place!. Its a fabric store, and, silk flower store, baking supplies, knitting/crochet supplies, holiday decorating, fun and how-to book, art supply, upholstery supplies, home decorating, kid learning, mom saving, grandma playground store! And Im sure Ive missed a lot I should have listed. Its not a warehouse, you can find what youre after, all by yourself. And if they dont have it they can get it. Its the right fit on so many levels, I cannot pass up the opportunity to recommend that you plan an afternoon to just go browse and enjoy. Oh, they also teach sewing to adults AND kids. All thumbs up!

They have home decor, fabric, crafts, beads for making jewelry, and lots more. Also it is clean and s pleasure to shop there.

The sign on the door says that they require everyone to wear masks, although not all the customers were wearing them. The line for the registers was very long, but it moved quickly. Everything we wanted was in stock.

Always a fun place to shop

First time shopping at Joann’s. With everything going on I understand people might be on edge especially with so many people placing orders for curbside pickup. When I called I spoke to two different employees, Megan & Melissa. After explaining my situation & letting them know I had not received an email for the order I placed so there was no way I could check the status of my order & them advising that they were behind (which I completely understand) I called a couple days after to check on the order since that was the only way I could keep track of it. They were rude every time I called! When I called to pick up my order, I thanked Melissa & she just hung up on me. One of the worst customer service I have experienced.

Everybody in the store is so helpful and nice. They have a nice selection, and you cant beat the prices when coupled with the coupons from there app. Cathy and Robin instruct great seeing classes!

Big selection

Let me preface by saying I never really go to Joanns. I bought a set of needles I decided to return and they said they didnt have enough cash in the till so they gave me store credit. Before I could say no the cashier swiped the card to give store credit and the $80 I spent went to being able to ONLY BE SPENT AT THEIR STORE. Such a scam, I am now forced to come back to spend that store credit that I did not want. Will never recommend Joann to anyone

Good store. They have more flannel than one could ever need or use. Its nice fabric, but seems like they have gotten rid of some their fabrics and replaced with the flannel, which is disappointing.

Love this place. I shop with the coupons and still find more then I went in for. Last time I was in there I got only one yarn I needed. But I was able to vet a few more things on sale. When I went to pay they only had one person checking out. While the woman in front of me was almost finished, the clerk answered the phone. She didnt put the caller on hold instead she helped her. When the other person left she was still helping the phone caller. The clerk motioned for me to go up. She was busy trying to find out if they have material that made nice. Sweat shop free blah blah. She finished with me and was still trying to get answers. I have had jobs where I answered phones and know proper phone manners Re putting the caller on hold and helping the person in front of you. I dont know if she couldnt send the caller to the material department where her question should have been answered by an employee who didnt have a line of people who wanted to be checked out. Or have someone in the office answer the phones. Other then that I can always find what I need in the store. Its not a fancy store but it is a great store when you need craft items.

Never have enough yarn out,very limited

The selection here is pretty wide. We made this visit in search of inspiration for a travel trailer remodel were doing. While searching, we discovered the store stocks a great variety of Cricut accessories and materials and left loaded down with stock wed been unable to find elsewhere.

Understaffed. The people working are doing their best during a busy time. Great selection on material.

It is easy to be the best when your the only store that stocks fabric sold by the yard. I went to several stores in Reno before going to JoAnn. They had a great selection and I got all that I was looking for.
