Under new management, great guys! Didn’t rip me off👍🏻Would definitely go back again!

I had the head gasket done on my Subaru back in December of 2020. after this my car kept burning oil and throwing the check engine code and was barley drivable. Since then company was purchase but kept the same name. I have dealt with Quinn under the new management. 6 different time he called me to tell me my car was test drove and completed. 6 different times I never made it more than 5 miles from there shop and the car through all the codes again. I dont believe this shop can be trusted. 3 months, and a bunch of lies later my car is still broken in my driveway now.They told me they have replaced many parts on my car including the motor and honestly I dont feel I can believe them. They forgot to charge my A/C, check my oil, torque my powers steering pulley and have refused to take any countability for any of the damage and say they are just doing the repairs out of good faith which have never gotten us anywhere.Now going on day 2 after the 7th time and they said they would call me back with an action plan and no call. I am utterly disappointed in this shop and its management.Very nice and respectful on the phone and in person but as far as work I would highly recommend going somewhere else to have your car or truck worked on.

I dropped my truck off on 4/16/2021, I got the run around for months. Finally I get a call from a nice gentleman on 6/21/21, saying that they cannot fix my truck. AFTER 2 months of having it. I go pick up my truck and get two blocks and my truck overheats!! It has NEVER overheated before. I am sooo sorry that I took the time to even take my truck there. It cost my $90.00 to have it towed home with the 5 free miles AAA gives.

HiTech Automotive is the best electrical troubleshooter in the Reno Sparks area. I had an issue with my Subaru that I brought to two other shops in town (one rhymes with Toy Rosters) that misdiagnosed my automotive issue. I ended up replacing my fuel pump and fuel level sender unit TWICE based on the recommendations of these other shops for a pretty penny. HiTech Automotive was the only shop that knew how to diagnose and troubleshoot correctly AND fix the issue.What a great team to work with. I am so happy companies like HiTech Automotive still exist that provide great service and value their customers personally. As a disabled Veteran, I am proud to be a customer of HiTech Automotive, they give our Veterans discounts with proof. Thank you for taking care of our Veterans! HiTech Automotive is now my go to auto shop.HiTech Automotive earned my 5 star review. Id give him a 7 if I could.

I wish I could give more than five stars! These guys definitely earned it. Called in to get some advice and Tom invited me to come in for diagnostic. I showed up without an appointment and they saw me right away! Tom and Brenton were very thorough in their assessment, explaining the service and showing me diagrams. They sorted out everything while I lounged in their lobby using their WiFi. Very competitive pricing with exceptional service! Good vibes all around. Highly recommend!!

Truly an outstanding repair shop. Had my engine replaced in the 2001 Tahoe. Price was super reasonable, turnaround time was exceptional, and customer service is top notch. Need a repair? GO HERE! Tom, Brenton, and the rest of the crew are just great fellas and I cant give enough praise.

They replaced my bearings about 2 years ago and now they need to be replaced again. I took it to them and was told they would keep my car overnight and call me the next day to get an update. That call never came and I called them to get an update. They informed me that they finally heard the sound I was talking about and would repair the part. They have now kept my car for a week to get this done and would call me back once it was fixed. After a week of having my car I recalled them to get an update on how much longer they would have my vehicle and they informed me that now supposedly they didnt hear the noise and they were not able to fix the part. This is the most unprofessional business I have ever dealt with. Dont ever take your car here.

I was so lucky to have broken down with a dead battery just 50 feet from these amazing people. He came right over and jumped me so that I could get my car to his shop. The customer service was exceptional! My dad and I walked to Peppermill to have a meal and my car was ready by the time we walked back. Amazing service. Thank you, guys. From the bottom of my heart.

I am a single mother of two children with a 2005 Ford Focus. My deceased mother helped me buy my vehicle and I was having some issues. Jiffy lube said they had fixed them and when Hi-Tech automotive got my vehicle in their hands they let me know that jiffy lube had in fact lied. My budget was of $600 to fix my vehicle and they fixed the crank sensor and the piggyback harness to the sensor. They fixed it quickly, and understood my situation, Im very proud to be a part of their client base. 10 out of 10 would recommend to anyone who is looking for family like service. I thank everybody at Hi-Tech automotive who worked on my vehicle. You definitely put a smile on my face and happy tears in my eyes. I will be returning, thank you guys so much, you guys will never fully understand what you have done for me and my family!

Cannot recommend Hi Tech enough! I was visiting from out of town and had some overheating issues with my car. Hi Tech saved the day! They were able to quickly diagnose a complicated issue and get the repair started right away. They also worked with my cars warranty company and selling dealership to facilitate the repair. Everyone was incredibly friendly, especially Tom who I spoke with on the phone a dozen times during this process. 10/10 experience!

Hi Tech Automotive is the best! The radiator on my Lexus RX 350 self-destructed. I didnt know anything was wrong till smoke started pouring out of my car. I pulled into the Wendys lot next to them and walked over to see if they could help. They drove me home and got to work. Within 24 hours they had replaced the radiator, assessed the car for any other damage, and sent me on my way, feeling safe again.

First time I have had work done on my truck and the work was excellent and finished when promised. I will use Hi Tech Automotive again.

I was out of town and my electrical system in my truck was acting up. These folks accommodated me right away. The problem was they diagnosed that I just needed a new battery but that was not all of the problem. It might not have been their fault as my truck was acting weird sometimes and sometimes not.still I did not make it home and had to have my truck towed the last 32 miles and it cost me quite a bit of money. They were very down-home and friendly and that counts for a lot.

These people are honest. When a mechanic tells you he saved you a large amount of money because some parts did not need replacing. That to me say theyre honest.

Great auto repair shop! Very clean, courteous and fair prices. I take all of our familys vehicles here. Would recommend to anyone needing a big or small repair. Their office is on the west side of the building, not the east like Google Maps says.

I made these guys my regular mechanic shop when, after the first time my car (a smart fortwo) broke down, they were seemingly the only place in the city who didnt take one look at my car and decide they couldnt work on it. They saw my car and had zero issue working on it. Absolutely professional.

My car was at the shop for a long time, it needed a new engine. Jimmy and Quinn were very good at keeping me updated and at explaining everything that was being done. They even took care of some issues that were not related to the engine replacement at no additional time or expense. I highly recommend Hi Tech.

Took my Kia here to have the timing belt, water pump, all 3 drive belts, and the transmission service. They are fair and very very nice. Quinn is very helpful and honest. These guys got my car running better than it ever has UNDER the price they quoted me. I am thoroughly impressed. They even warranty the work for 12 months or 12,000 miles. Keep up the great work, you have earned my business from here on out.

Fast service once we found the plays needed

I called and was told to drop off my car and put my key in a hole in the garage door with a note. Thats what I did two days later no one had contacted me. I called they informed me they were going to have my car towed because they didnt know who it belonged to or why it was there. After explaining the situation they said they did not find the key or note but would look and return my call. Another day goes by and they still couldnt find it. I recieved a call informing me they had found the key and they were going to charge me $250 just to diagnose the problem when I already had told them several times what the issue was as well as writing it on the note that mysteriously disappeared. I said no way dont touch my car I would be there after work to retrieve my car. When I got there they said they had been working on it the whole day and handed me a bill for over $300 for diagnosing the exact thing that I had already told them was the problem. They didnt fix it and they didnt give me an estimate to fix it. I was furious

These guys rock. Period. My wife was on a road trip heading out of town when our Mercedes just went dead. All of the Mercedes specialists were closed for Nevada Day but these guys werent and a friend highly recommended them as a long time customer. Despite being backed up with numerous jobs, they made a space in hopes of getting my wife on her way with a packed car. Professional, communicative, and just good people. Highly recommend!

This place charges top dollar but theyre very good and if youve got a VW that needs work you need pros.

After moving to Reno I had a little car trouble and was concerned about trying a new mechanic. Following a recommendation I took it to Hi Tech and was extremely pleased. Over the last 7 years they have worked on my car 3 times and every time they did exceptional work with great prices. Each time I was surprised at how well I and my car were treated. I wont take my car anywhere else.

They were absolutely great & honest. Which is rare to find these days! Glad I found them. Saved me a ton of money over other places trying to charge me thousands for non existent problems with my car. Will definitely return to them!

To keep a very long story short... Joe is the best. I came very close literally spending thousands of extra dollars on a job that didnt need to be done. This place is terrific! Friendly, efficient, no hassle, fair priced and most importantly, extremely competent. Even the receptionist knows just about everything about cars! I am new to the area and got ripped off by a local shop and the BMW was not much better, A friend recommended Hi Tech and I could not be happier.

I brought my car to Hi Tech in October of 2017. While it was in the care of Hi Tech, it was broken into and my title, registration, spare key, speakers, winter clothing, and GPS were stolen. The doors and windows didnt sustain any damage so I suspect the car was left unlocked by an employee. I wasnt going to write this review at first because I understand that things happen and it was also partially my fault for leaving valuable items in my car. However, I decided to write this review because of the way Hi Tech handled this incident. They told me they would ask a nearby business to check their surveillance cameras and would get back to me. They never called me but I called them to check in twice. On the second occasion, a man named Jimmy picked up and basically said, theres nothing you can do about it and surveillance cameras dont work at night anyways. He brushed it off as if this kind of thing happens everyday at their shop. I didnt expect to catch the culprit or receive a reimbursement, but a simple apology wouldve been nice. Im very disappointed in this business and their employees. I will not be going back and I advise anyone going there to exercise caution. They arent in a very safe area and they dont seem to care about the safety of their customers cars.

I required non standard specifications for my modified Miata for alignment.Hi Tech had no issue aligning to my specs, they did a great job at a very reasonable price. My tire wear has been even after thousands of miles, perfect job!

Our 2002 Eurovan broke down in Truckee on a road trip. Had it towed to Lithia VW of Reno just to be told sorry we don’t service VW Eurovan anymore or carry many parts. Towed to Hi Tech Automotive and they got right on it. They had parts delivered from Sacramento and the Eurovan was on the road by end of day. Saved me a ton of hassle and money. The shop is very clean, friendly and professional. They have a play room for kids and an awesome Goldie, Rally, greeting customers. Impressive!

This place is great. Fast, affordable, and knowledgeable. Ive brought my Ford Explorer Sport Trac in for Head Gaskets, Timing Chains, and PCM replacement. They have always completed the work quickly and with the utmost care. I wont bring my cars anywhere else ever again. Thanks to Jimmy and all the staff for being great!

My clutch went out on my car. Hi tech fixed my car quickly and did a excellent job. Very satisfied with the service, probably the best automotive mechanics in town.

Brought my moms car to get fixed, charged over a thousand dollars for diagnostics and to get it fixed, a month without her car. After a few weeks we had take the car in again because her car would not start and again they charged her and took a long time with her car. A third time the car was brought back to the shop because of the engine light and kept it for a few days saying they dont know whats wrong with it and that they dont want to charge her anymore money. I told them that it would b fair to at least give her half of her money so she could have it fixed somewhere else and they said they couldnt give her anything because they were under new ownership. Very disappointed

I have a classic 1988 Z-car And as far as Im concerned Jimmy at Hi-tech is the only place to go. I was referred there by a friend who has restored two classic Z-cars with high-techs help. I give Jimmy and the company an A+ rating.....Rick Strohson

I had what I believed to be a bad alternator. Loss of power after replacing the battery only a month prior. Hi tech discovered that my new battery was actually just not holding a sufficient charge and I just needed to exchange my faulty battery. I did just that, and the mechanic said hed throw the new(er) battery in for me when I came back to the shop with it. I was relieved to hear that was all I needed to do and didnt need to spend a bunch of money on an alternator. The relief ended when I got to the front counter at hi tech and they charged me $140 just to test and swap out my battery. Something I couldve easily done on my own if I had known it was just a faulty battery.

Upfront, nice, and honest. The only place in town that would work on my wifes Smart car, they do great work and have no complaints.

Very friendly. But was quoted one price and charged another. It was less time than they really documented in the bill and alot less work than they described as well.

This where you go when you need experienced techs that can fix or figure out anything. Went to 2 other places prior which supposedly specialized in the very technical problem that I was dealing with and niether could figure it out. All good now.I will be going back.

Just moved to Reno in 2015, thrilled to find such a competent mechanic which can work on my very complicated Touareg. Not many shops want to deal with these SUVs. These guys resolved a very tricky problem which was preventing my vehicle from passing smog, and at a very reasonable price. Judging by the other cars I saw on site, I can see people who drive expensive German cars put a great deal of faith in this shop.

Broght in a turbo diesel beetle, the guy that took care of us was jimmy and was honest and respectful. He let us know he hadnt been to big on diesel but he gave it a shot and did a great job on our fuel injection pump. Im a student so I had a budget at the time and they kept within my 300-400 range. Charged me for 3 hours of work but definitely put more then that into it. Im not at all big on mechanics but Id definitely go back to these guys, only other place I like in reno is buggy barn but theyre mostly Volkswagen mechanics but theyre just as friendly and experienced. Dont bother with any mechanics in Fernley they will over charge and rip you off.

Hi tech did a pre-purchase inspection and estimate on an Audi for me. Their customer service is excellent and they were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend them.
