I was refered here by the Ford Dealership because the dealership is backed up to late September. When I got my diagnostic, I asked for an itemized estimate. The receptionist said that would be okay but when I got there what she gave me was not an itemized estimate. It was just a sentence that something was wrong and what they were charging. I told her that I didnt think that was an itemized estimate and she got frustrated with me. She insisted it was, and I backed down. She seemed irritable that I was asking for it and didnt want to provide it. I now have to wait until late September for my car to be fixed because I cant take my business there without a reliable itemized estimate of what I am paying for. I am more than happy to change my review or take my business there with an actual estimate.

I called hoping to get a quote and second opinion on work to be performed on my company vehicle. I was immediately treated poorly just for asking about prices and rates. I was told that he didnt believe I was a real customer, whatever that means. He then called me back saying I got a missed call from this number so I told him no you didnt, we just talked. Im the guy you think isnt a real customer. He then accused me of calling from a different number. This guy is delusional, rude, paranoid, and highly unprofessional. I suggest avoiding any kind of business let alone human interaction with this company. Glad I dodged a bullet.

Called up, gave them a brief idea of what was going on, asked if I could make it to Utah safely, and they advised I could. Made it safe and sound without spending a dime with them.Theyre honest.

We were just starting a 4 day road trip when our oil pump failed.. AA was the only place that would see us on short notice.. they took really good care of us and as someone who tinkers on cars a bit I felt they were completely honest and were very helpful in the repairs that were necessary and what is overkill and not fully needed, saving us $$$.. If we lived in Reno, these guys would be our go to mechanic

Rolling into Sparks Tuesday evening 7/21 with our Ford F150 Crew Cab towing 23 Travel Trailer we had the water pump go out. Had the rig towed to Sparks Marina RV Park where we had reservations ( Phenomonal Facility and People ). Long story short, we found this shop the next morning to repair the truck. Turns out they could get me out by end of next day. They did a great job in getting it done before noon. This really helped as it only put us behind one day on our cross country trip.I was given an estimate that I agreed to knowing it was probably a bit higher than standard repair for this type vehicle. After doing some research now, I feel we were taken advantage of considering our circumstances to get back on the road. Other shops I checked prior to getting repairs done were 1-3 weeks out. In a nutshell, I am convinced we paid 30-50% higher.Last but not least, restroom was out of service, and Alysa stated that their Credit Card Machine was not working (internet connection ???) and they dont accept checks, so had to go to the banks to get cash........what an inconvenience. I did request that she drive me to bank, which she did.Sooooooo, ........Hopefully after my contribution, maybe they can fix their restroom and re-connect to the internet. She did offer me a free oil change next time in the area......REALLY ?? I live 400 miles away in California

Rich and his staff are very horrible in treating people, very unprofessional. Rich the owner would not take calls and explain the work he did. I asked for invoice showing parts etc and labor and he refused to provide it. Repeatedly left messages with no response. Really have no idea what exactly was done. Would definitely not recommend this shop. Owner and staff all rude!!!! Stay away from him and his shop. Bad news!!! Says he put rebuilt engine in dont know part numbers nor manufacturer. Now have engine leak that he will not back up. BEWARE of this shady business!!

I honestly havent had better service then here. After I moved here 9 years ago (and had a terrible experience at another shop that I already have a review up for them). I have made affordable automotive my only auto shop the owner rich is always so nice and listens to what I need done to my car. He never tries to sell me anything I dont need. I really do think that rich is the only non scummy auto shop in town.

I had a check engine light and an abs light on- I went to another shop in town that I was referred to and they told me I was better off getting a new engine. I was shocked and could not afford that. I called on Monday- alina told me to bring it in right away - They called me that afternoon with the news- It turns out my computer was the problem not the engine. My abs light was on from a sensor not being replaced on my last brake job- Rich was honest and saved me so much money. Thank you so much I will be sending everyone over to Affordable.

It wasnt until it was my own truck broke down during rush hour traffic and Rich picked me up and off the road. He was able to diagnosis the problem and quoted me an extremely fair price. Thanks Rich. I just dropped off my car a few days ago, afordable automotive was the only shop that was willing to help me that day all I had to do was drop my car off. My car was making a loud squealing noise when I dropped it off. Rich called me a few hours later, told me the repair and the cost I expected it to be done the next day. But he called just a few hours later telling me it was done now since its been a few days I can honestly say that rich did fix my car the right way the first time.

I cannot tell you how much I love this place and appreciate the owner for everything they have done. I had my car at another shop and quoted me about 700$ worth of work. The problem I had that I wasnt getting much power while driving. I then took it to rich at afordable automotive he told me he might not get a chance to look at it but to drop it off and he would try. I dropped it of and within 1 hour he called me telling me I just had to change my sparks plugs and saved me a ton of money he got the work done the same day

They did some work for me on my jeep! replaces some things and made adjustments to my lift kit to make it now sway and shake. Also fixed my oil leak.

This is the only.place that was abel to help me in this hard time. My car was over heating and needed it to be seen the same day. Rich was very kind and told me if I dropped it off he would take a look at it and if it was simple it would get done in the same day. He replaced the radiator and I was on my way best service Ive had

On the way to Reno, our fuel pump went after hitting a nasty bump. We had to get a tow on Sunday evening.Affordable Auto was able to fit us in the following morning, get the part, and have us back on the road for our schedule. In addition to the excellent service and reasonable rates, the owners even let us store some belongings in the shop while we returned our rental car. A huge help for us!Having auto repairs while traveling is never fun. The folks at Affordable Auto made this snafu a lot more tolerable.

I went to this auto shop to get a estimate for a engine repair. Owner claimed I needed a new engine. I took to Jeep in Carson. No new engine was needed. Bet they never checked since the engine was warrented. Just wanted $$$

This place was recommend to me by the towing truck driver because supposedly they were very reasonable with their prices. Well I took my truck there for a diagnostic and they charge me $255 dollars, every where else they charge $110 to $130 max. They know right away what was wrong and didnt told, they said it looked them 2hrs to do the diagnostic, but that a lie, 40 minutes after I drop off the truck they called me to give me the diagnostic. And charge me $255. I think thats a ripped off. I told the owner about and he start getting mad because I told him that he overcharges

These guys are awesome, they are very busy and I know why, they take care of their customers with honesty, integrity, and customer service.I purchase a car next door to Affordable and some things needed to get fixed on the car. At first I had a battle with the Dealership next door but Affordable stepped up to the plate and took care of my car. I know affordable care about their work and does a great job but I think the most important thing they strive for is they want awesome reviews from customers like me. I will always bring my car in to get fix if something goes wrong because I can count on them 100%

I brought for diesel pickup there when the Ford service center said they didn’t work on that engine (different review on that) and recommend these guys.They found my electric harness for my injection system shorted out taking out the injectors . He replaced the injectors with after market units and the wiring harness with after market units. He said he never had a problem with them.1 1/2 yrs and 5,000 miles later I call them to see if they would warrant the work (6mos past warranty) never returned my call.Brought my truck to a good shop and they found that the part that they used where junk. Will cost me 1,100 to replace only the electric harness . Hope the injectors last 😡🤬

I have a Ford F250SD that had spun a rod and blew the motor in (My Fault, apparently oil changes matter) After calling around to different shops and wrecking yards and getting astronomical prices for a replacement engine and labor i had just about given up. I called up Richie and talked to him about my issue and he gave me a great price to get the repairs done. he was able to locate a motor with less then half the mileage my truck had on it, on top of that he went above and beyond to make sure the engine he was putting in my truck was far better then what came out. He had all the repairs done quick and got me back on the road. he is a great mechanic and all work comes with a great warranty. I have had my truck back for a couple weeks now and am still so impressed with the quality of work that Richie provided. Hands down the best shop in Reno to take you vehicle, If its not something i can do myself Richie is the only one that is aloud to touch my truck from here on out

Smaller operation, so more attention. Needed to go into the steering column and repair ignition lock on my 2002 Blazer. Stories from others about having their steering column opened up and how much it cost at other auto service providers left me with a feeling of dread. But, cost here was reasonable and service fast. About 24 hours total from tow in to pickup.

Recently came back. My car had had a duel battery control modual go out. And the dealer was charging around 800$ but this place got it all for me around 400 and the same day. I recommend afordable automotive to everyone

This place came to me as a miracle Richard West Ford service writer referred me to Affordable and am I glad. My 2006 f250 blew the head gasket and I just knew a costly journey was ahead of me. I was towed into Affordable in Sparks. Nv. I had anticipated that Id not see my truck for a few weeks but to my delight, I dropped it there on Monday and it was done by Friday.
