Good local roastery. They sell lots of different mugs if youre looking for a unique one.
All your coffee needs met here. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff.
Amazing coffee roaster, with a large variety of freshly roasted beans from many different regions. The coffee bar is nice, but a little lacking Id youre looking for a bunch of different drink styles. But then again, this place is primarily a roaster and its my favorite place to buy beans on the peninsula
If you are a Latino Mexican did not attend to discuss the shop when you asked coffee guy will send you to Chavez market to get your Mexican style coffee very bad Costumer serviceThey did not have a coffee for me to drink...lol
I am from out of town, and I chose to pick up a morning cup of Joe,from this location. Thank God I did! The local vibe is strong with this shop. The name is self explanatory. What you expect is exactly what youll find. From coffee and tea, to cups and kettles. I bought a coffee mug for my dad and he said it was the best cup hes ever used. Their coffee is so delicious that I had to bring 3, 1 pound bags home to my family. I recommend this place if you want to completely wrap yourself in the ultimate morning cup experience. Thank you to the kind woman running the shop that morning. You made my whole week and I will always stop at your shop for my coffee fix, whenever Im in town. Viva La café! Give it a try people. But prepare to have your socks blown off!!! So shut up, get up, and get some coffee
Local, more robust roasts, great coffee. Might not look open but it is daily at 7am
Amazing place for freshly roasted coffee, helpful and friendly staff
We love getting coffee from Connoisseur Coffee on Saturdays. They roast their own coffee and sell coffee beans wholesale, and they also have brewed coffee and hot chocolate available. Ive also purchased some of my favorite coffee mugs from Connoisseur. Note: they are not open on Sundays.
Wow thats awesome
My go to for coffee. The smell of the place is amazing.
This is a coffee place for all walks of coffee lovers you want it they got you they also have tea and hot chocolate this place is wonderful
I was visiting one day with a friend who has literally visited coffee houses around the world. He was very impressed and Connoisseur is now his go-to for roasted beans. I am also hooked. The staff is 2nd to none. Very knowledgeable and friendly.....super impressive. The owner came down and met with us and the following day I brought about 8 more friends.....
Great coffee beans and good service.
Mostly industrial setting, roasting their own coffee and making interesting blends. Good, rich taste! Can get season there but not really a place to hang out. Theyre busy making coffee!
What an amazing, welcoming place!NOTE: Very, very limited seating! But...- Delicious coffee!- They roast on premises and the whole place smells INCREDIBLE!- The owner and staff are awesome; very friendly and fun to chat with!- Reasonable prices!- Free parking to the side and round backOkay, thats more exclamation marks than I usually populate my reviews with, but hey, this place is a gem :-)
Great coffee, fresh roasted beans. Good prices and friendly people. You can reuse or bring your own container and support a local business. A hard combination to beat.
Good coffee and very friendly people
Since the moment you go inside the store you feel so good with the great aroma and when you try the first sip of their coffee you are in heaven. I’m trying a little by little every coffee they have, they are superb!!
Super great local roasting company. the owner Shawn is always friendly and stays involved in the community.
This place is the best I drive from san jose to get my mix roast .the taste of fresh bean are awsome
Bought a Mexican Chiapas coffee coffee - this is the worst coffee beans I had in years. The coffee beans are uneven in size, the roast is not uniform and way darker than conventional light roast is supposed to be. The smell is OK, but very plain. But all of this is alright, as long as the taste is fine, however this is the worst part - it is very-very bitter. I played around with it for some time trying to dial in yield and extraction, but this coffee is simply unsalvageable. Ive even try to deliberately underextract it by lowering the temperature and making grind pretty course and even removed the crema, but to no avail - I still cannot taste any acidity in it - only overwhelming bitterness. Any roaster who is not ashamed to put a coffee like this for sale does not deserve to be in business.
Great coffee. If you like it dark and strong, dont let them talk you into trying a more flavorful lighter roast. They have a fine selection of dark roasts with plenty of flavor.
Ive been a fan for years. This is my go-to source for wonderfully roasted coffee beans. Do you think Starbucks coffee is a bit burnt, or other coffees just meh? Would you really like to look forward to your first cup of coffee every day? Talk to the coffee bean folks here. They can suggest one or two coffees (as beans to fresh grind, or they can grind it) for your French press, cappuccino or filter. You can also get fresh coffee to go as well.
Gourmet coffee place. Friendly, knowledge staff. Flavorful house coffee. And oh, smooth rich hot chocolate with a cinnamon overtone!
Highly recommended for quality coffee at reasonable prices. I used to go to blue bottle, but not any more. Choose your beans to suit your taste and you will be happy. Love the variety of single origins
Cool coffee spot. Had a ice blended espresso drink. It is like a slushy but with coffee. The thing that I liked the most was that the espresso beans were ground up and mixed in the drink. It added a little bit of crunch and just the right amount of flavor.i go back soon.
Really good fresh roasted beans. They roast them right behind the counter. The light roasts are very nicely done, they taste more like a medium roast (they dont have the sourness you often get from a light roast).
🆒
Some real home grown customer service, thank you for being so inviting to us Aaron
Fantastic coffee. Had great help from Aaron!
Support local businesses! I love that we have our very own coffee roasters RWC! Their coffee is excellent with a great variety including some Fair Trade and organic.
Connoisseur is where you go for the good stuff. End of story. They also have a sweet little coffee shop service inside, where you can even get fancy coffee drinks ;)
Fresh local coffees roasted daily! You can watch them do it and theyll answer any questions you have. You can even buy green beans!
Connoisseur coffee is the right place if you want a strong coffee drink. First, before you ever park or get within 100 feet of the building, youll pick up the fantastic, caramelized scent of darkly roasting coffee beans. Its a rich, wonderful fragrance that carries down the block. Second, theres some free, off-street parking adjacent to the building. Its tight, but it usually has 1-2 spaces open. Now, about the coffee. Get an espresso drink, and dont be afraid to ask them to personalize it for you. They dont have a cortado or gibraltar on their menu, but we asked, and the owner was happy to make two for my colleague and me. Its a strong espresso, and I was wide awake and ready to go afterward. The flavor was strong, maybe a little astringent, but the flavor was satisfying. You can buy the roasted beans by the pound if you want, and there are also a plethora of loose leaf teas that are of fine quality.A downside of the space is a lack of seating. Its great if you want to grab and go, but I think it would be even better with some seating. Lets be real, youre here for the coffee and espresso. Its good, maybe over-roasted, but a solid 4/5. Besides, the wonderful aroma of roasting coffee beans is like none-other, and that is a quality benefit of visiting.
Coffee is the best, and friendly staff
A great place for a cup of coffee and a bag of beans! Theres not much in terms of seating, only a single table with a few chairs. They have a lot of beans and roasts to choose from, which they will talk you through as needed. They also have at least 2 different brewed coffees every day, and invite you to try a taste to check out the different beans and roasts. I had a soy latte which uses their espresso blend of 9 different beans! Yum.They have a lot of loose-leaf tea options and their own hot chocolate blend (with a bit of cinnamon).Their bean prices are quite reasonable! I got a half pound each of the Eye Opener Blend and Java Estate to try at home.
I cant tell that they are connoisseurs, but they do their own roasting. Very low key place... not really anywhere to sit down and mostly thermos coffee although their espresso was OK.
Greeted us inAsked what we like to drinkOffer us varieties of coffee they have for us to tryLearn the history lesson of their business
Have being coming here for almost 25 years... LOVE IT.
This place is more of an office/warehouse where they roast their beans and then sell it in bulk. We came here thinking it was a full blown coffee shop. Not a lot of tables and chairs. Just FYI. Coffee wasnt that bad though and was a little more affordable.
Awesome coffee or tea in bulk it in the go. Not any place to sit
I’ve been buying coffee here for years, very good coffee!
The best! No room for improvement. If you are in the neighborhood, do yourself a favor and grab some beans or a drink.
I love this place. I think their coffee is the best. Friendly and informal place for a cup of coffee, a bag of roast coffee, or green coffee. I roast coffee and enjoy my roasts to theirs. A true resource.
Good price, Nice coffee. Wi-Fi.
Good coffee, small business and the cook the beans on Site. Definitely coming back again
Sweet people, great coffee, nice space. Only one table but theres room for more. They roast coffee here, their snacks are simple and they do have wifi.
Fantastic, quirky little coffee spot with fresh roasted beans and delicious drinks. Great atmosphere inside too!
Amazing place. Everyday they roast beans. Friendly assistant. Ill definitely be going back.
Very cool place. Rustic and quaint decorations, sort of a cross between an old garage and an old country house. Good coffee, and they say they have wifi.
This is a coffee shop not a restaurant, they have different variety of coffees, is a good place to buy coffee beans
Best place for coffee and tea on this side of the earth
Great place for a cup of coffee while your car is getting smogged checked across the street.
Best coffee in town 😋
I have only one data point but unfortunately it isnt great. Bought espresso beans by this place at WholeFoods but the beans are too heavily roasted, which isnt really suitable for making espresso. With similar price there are many better choices.
Verying interesting setup. Loved seeing the roaster in action and all of the coffee contraptions.
Best coffee ever
The smell there is intoxicating the coffee is even better .also I love that I can buy a 8 oz cup .
Fun local place with great service and Mexican hot chocolate (with cinnamon).
Love this local coffee roaster. Always friendly service and delicious coffee.
Very good and tasty hot chocolate
Great freshly roasted beans. The owner and staff are very knowledgeable.
A charming local coffee shop which roasts there beans right there. The staff love coffee
Old school coffee roasters. Not really a cafe. Very nice staff, but not really coffee connoisseurs. Espresso was bitter and burnt. They mainly do filter, but even the filters were hardly distinguishable and unremarkable. Not in category of Red Rock (Mountain View).
Very nice place. Excellent coffee. Friendly
Nice shop and roastery. We chilled our biscuits and had some really good coffee - they even had soymilk.
Great service, incredible coffee, fresh, excellent value, and so many choices to pick from.My favorites, Costa Rica, Tanzania Peaberry and Kenia.Hope to see you guys open again soon!!
Best coffee Ive ever had ! Wonderful people !
Great locally roasted beans, family owned, great prices, and theyre only closed on Sundays. Why would you go anywhere else for coffee beans?
Best coffee in bay area, perhaps best in the world.
Good variety of coffee. Interesting
Best coffee in the Bay Area so far! Always our go-to when it comes to fresh whole bean roasts for ourselves and our guests ❤️
Excellent coffee; small barista -- very few places to sit, though
Had the blended coffe drink. Not too sweet, not too bitter, just right. 👍
A great coffee place!!! I love the drinks and the vibe here
Started going here instead of Philz since its local. Great owners; lots of choices.
The best coffee I have tasted and great service
Great prices and great roasts. My standard spot for whole beans for my home espresso machine.
Not great as a hang out but awesome coffee.
Friendly owner -- he knows the regulars coffee preferences. Wide choice of coffees, teas with all types of roasting and grinding machines in use, with nice background music and antique furniture.
Perfectly roasted beans and delicious coffee drinks.
Old school
Good coffee great space...friendly staff
Best coffee in Redwood City and probably surrounding cities.
Coffee was amazing and talking to Sean about coffee was super interesting.
Hard to find parking but decent coffee
Fresh toasted coffee just love it

Jane is the best Barista ever,!
Excellent product and service.
