I loved how Alonso treated me and my car. My air conditioning wasnt working.. The previous mechanic said that it could be the compressor, and it would be expensive, so I spent one year with no AC. I took it to Legacy and they repaired it in less than one hour and, saying that it was a simple electric issue. Alonso explained everything to me really patiently, in a way that I could understand. Ill go back soon for more repairs

Wow! Still in a bit of shock after my last visit to this shop. One of only three shop in the SF area that does ignition device calibrations. My first visit consisted of the owner and his mechanics speaking only in Spanish about my car in front of me and then giving me a broken English version of what they wanted me to know. As a woman who has work in the automotive industry, in shops and front offices, and has experienced the treatment women get sometimes, it was unprofessional, and disrespectful. On my first visit the owner did nothing but talk about how stupid most customers are and how he dismisses them if they disagree with him in his shop.The last time, he set off my alarm in my car twice, and tried to tell me it was a low battery problem. Anyone that has one of these devices knows that it messes with the electrical system and battery systems sometimes. Even I knew that?! And then had a technician mess with my battery? I have a regular mechanic, there was nothing wrong with my battery or it’s charge. Alarm systems are tied in with the wiring on these devices too, not just the battery! Duh?! That’s why there are so many reported malfunctions. Mine was fine and has been since installed!Bad attitude, bad service and an uneducated technician. I’ll be going elsewhere. Just because I have this device temporarily does not mean I have to be subjected to disrespectful treatment at service. Oh and FYI....I do understand Spanish! Let’s just say that they didn’t think I could understand them so they spoke in front of me as if I couldn’t!If you wanna get service here, better not ever disagree with owner and bring a translator if you are so unfortunate as to not understand Spanish. Seems very snaky to me!

We found Legacy Auto Repair to be a good find. We will definitely expect to return to this shop to find great service and care for our vehicles.I took my BMW for service to EU Car Service, San Bruno for a tune-up several weeks ago, they failed to replace and inform me my spark plugs/coil were bad. My car went idling for months until I took it to Legacy Auto Repair. Mr Gonzales, the owner, found the problem causing my car to be idle. The spark plugs werent replaced by the shop in San Bruno and Mr Gonzales, replaced took care of it quickly and replaced them. He also fixed plug a hole in my tire and lubricated my car windows which was making squeaking sound all for free.Mr Gonzales at Legacy Auto Repair treated us very well. We felt we were very well taken care of, We sincerely appreciate speedy service and attention to detail which they gave me and my car. They service me with pride, excellence, and honesty.We highly recommend these guys for their trust-worthiness.

Honest and thorough. They explained to me all the work that my car needed and the options with their consequences. My old mechanic retired, I am glad to have found Legacy to take over my auto care needs.--2 years later, Im still coming here and am very happy with their service.

Reasonable prices, fast service. Just what you would want from an auto repair shop.

Extremely fast, curtious and reasonably priced. After panicking because my vehicle over heated on the way to a Stanford appointment (that takes six months to get) they were able to get my vehicle in and then diagnosed in an exspedent manner. They knew I was from out of town, not being mechanical inclined, I am obviously unsure of the problem so they very easily could’ve taken advantage of my situation, but didn’t. Augustine was very patient and listen to the symptoms and after doing some checks to make sure my engine was not blown, we discussed his recommendation. For a situation that many mechanics could’ve easily taken advantage of, I was treated with the upmost respect and by no means over charged. I very pleased to recommend legacy auto repair to anyone who has an automotive repair needed. I was out of the shop confident the problem was solved for under $200.00 in less than 2 hours. Thank you
