I’ve been coming to Independent Tire for a couple years now. I appreciate how they explain (in layman’s terms) how the car functions and why certain services are necessary. I’ve gone to other mechanics who have literally laughed at me when I’ve asked questions and treated me like the dumb female who doesn’t know anything about cars. Not this place. They are honest, they are thorough and don’t pressure you into anything you don’t need. I am happy to support their business as the customer service is always top notch.

The company is willing to do what it take to make the customer happy.

I have gone to these guys for service on our cars for years. Feel well taken care of here and feel theyre very honest. I was once given an estimate based on a quoted price for a part my car needed, and when it turned out the quoted price was lower than it should have been, they still honored the estimate we had agreed to. Will be going to these guys for as long as Im living in the area.

The staff was super friendly and inviting. I had a tire that needed some patching and they were able to do it the same day. They gave me a break down of my car even though I came in for 1 tire. Very thorough and genuine. Thank you so much team!

I was looking for an auto repair shop and found the one for me!The staff is friendly, pricing fair with a clean and comfortable waiting area. They even have a high-end massage chair machine. Kind of a fun addition.Mark B worked on my car and came out to talk to me several times with some very minor issues. He even suggested I get a tuner lug nut key that if I didnt have in my car could be problematic with a roadside repair due to the type of tires on my car. Great place. Big Shout Out to Independent Auto Repair and Tommy! This shop is easily the best auto repair in the South Bay. Its so easy to not trust those working on your car. Its something I constantly am aware of, but with Independent Repair & Tire Pros - I trust. This is such a relieving feeling to know they have my best interest in mind. How do I know? Well, one year ago I got new brakes at Pep Boys. They continued to screech. After 3x going back, I took my car here and they gave me a free inspection and gave my a step-by-step of what I need to tell Pep Boys to do to fix it. I took my car back to a different Pep Boys, gave the rundown, and it was fixed! So, when recently I got a free dealer inspection from the Toyota dealer, I took the recommendations and called around. Without telling them the other quotes, Independent Auto Repair beat everyone!! There was also mentions like, Well double check that and if its not needed we wont do it. Its quotes like these that added to my trust. I took my car back and am HIGHLY SATISFIED! Tommy was my lead mechanic and was super solid with communication, added a complementary inspection, and my car is back to perfect again. Instead of telling me I had to change my shocks, he said theyre pretty good but recommended to continue monitoring. These folks are wonderful! We were traveling from San Francisco to Newport last week when our dashboard lit up and told us we had a low pressure tire. We pulled off the 405 and had no idea where to go to have it checked. Google maps showed us that Independent Repair and Tire was close so we found them. Even though they were booked solid with appointments, the tech came, took our car and thoroughly tested everything. Yes it was a false alarm but now we had peace of mind to continue. Thank goodness for the kindness and professionalism of this team. And the lady in the waiting room with us was a regular who was also singing their praises. You can trust these folks.

We had 2 nails in the back tire and called this place and made appointment. My wife went there and could not stop praising them. She said very punctual, clean and professional. Being local, they charged NOTHING for fixing the tire. The other site in MB I have gone before quoted me $32 the last time and ended up charging me more than $50 stating something stupid about the tire (same tire they fixed here). Highly recommend this place.

Went in to do an alignment and balance tires. One of the technicians/mechanics (Mark) was very informative, helpful, and all around provided great customer service. It was clear he wasn’t out to make me spend more money than I needed to. In doing so, I believe they look after the customer instead of just seeing us as money. Will definitely return!

I have been coming to this shop for a little over a year and while the work has been historically okay - I have some concerns.I most likely will start looking for a new shop as my requests to keep original parts have not been delivered on.Additionally I have found staff to be incredibly rude to my significant other - which took me a few visits to gauge given that they have always been great with me. He is often on the receiving end of condescension and frankly I just dont want to deal with it anymore.

If you dont know much about cars, go to independent, they are the most honest shop Ive ever been to. This is the one, the one place where I feel 100% confident that I can trust. Last week I tested the Honda Dealership Service Center and they literally lied to me and tried to get $3000 out of me for repairs that were not needed. I was a mechanic in the US Marines and I knew what was wrong with it. Turns out the tow truck driver and the outstanding professionals at Independent knew too. The wonderful souls who work here are here to help and a side bonus? They have the most lovely bathroom in the entire auto repair industry, you may laugh, but check it out.

From the minute I walked in the door, I was treated as if I was the only one who mattered! My car received GREAT service, and the recommendations that were made for additional service could MOSTLY be done, at this shop. I am putting off that steam-cleaning of the engine, and I finally got my radio repaired at a shop that was recommended, so all is well, and I am ready to have my air conditioner serviced NEXT time!

I would highly recommend this place. Independent Repairs is trustworthy, honest and fast. I recently took in my car that was on its last leg. Instead of telling me to get a bunch of repairs done that would bring them lots of money, they encouraged me to junk the car and only charged me $35 for the inspection. I have been here several times and every time it’s a great experience and, again, HONEST.

I went to this car shop a few days ago. I thought I need to replace a timing belt in my Honda Accord 2005 V6 but Mike said it may not be the problem and that he will take a look at it. I agreed on a comprehensive car check up with an oil change. I needed a car for the day to go to work so the shop called for a rental car for me. Later in the day Mike called and told me about all the things, changes, and fixed the car needs. It was A LOT. Pretty much it would cost about $5,000 so I decided not to fix anything and simply get a new car. The next day I returned the rental car but I was told that I had to pay for the rental. I was unpleasantly surprised because I thought the car shop was covering it. I found out that if the repairs are over $400, then they will pay for it. I guess it was lack of communication. If I knew I would have to pay for the car Id have dropped off the car on the following day when I dont work. Anyways, I highly recommend this car shop. I will definitely be back for all my car work.

Honest and helpful arent usually used to describe car repair shops, but this business definitely is.On two occasions I reached out to Martin Chevrolet in Torrance for work on my Chevy Camaro. They were not only rude on the phone, but worse in person. I left the dealer and luckily found this shop.From the phone interaction to in-person, Independent Repair & Tire Pros were transparent and had my best interest in mind. They have done multiple services on my car and husbands truck. Weve never had issues with anything they repaired/replaced, and better yet, never felt taken or misled.This past week I found myself at the shop again as my engine light came on, they took the vehicle in the next day and diagnosed quickly. I received a call that while they could do the work, I was likely under coverage and better off going to a Chevy dealer. Given their feedback, I contacted GM for warranty details and headed to an authorized dealer that did replace the part for free - saving me quite a bit of money! As dealers tend to do, they suggested additional services. I was able to confidently call and speak with Mike at Independent Repair & Tire pros to talk through whether the Chevy Dealers suggestions made sense and how fair pricing was. He provided unbiased advice and didnt try to do a hard press sale of their services over the dealer. For the reliability in their service and genuine care of their customers, this place will have our repeat and referral business.Avoid the headache of a bad repair shop and check out these guys next time!

Even though this business is not close to where I live, it is worth the drive and being able to set an appointment, and to wait for work to be done (VERY comfortable lounge, coffee and snacks!!!) makes it a better experience all around!

Been there two times with flat tire on my both cars. Both times I was told that the tire can not be repaired and offered new tires. Both times I went just two blocks down the street and got tires repaired. It appears they make business selling and mounting new tires only. Two times for me is enough.

I have taken my cars to Independent Repair for 10 years. The work is always well done at prices better than dealer prices. They are very patient in explaining repairs and costs-an important fact for seniors like me. They have always had repairs completed as promised. They always contact me before adding work to repair/maintenance order. There staff is efficient and polite. So often, having work on your car is like going to the dentist. NOT so with Independent Repair- Mike and his staff make the experience as pain free as possible, and down right pleasant on those occasions when they save you money dealers charge. My cars have been and will be well cared for with the work at Independent Repair.

Just a little update to below, still love Independent. Theyre extremely helpful even if you decline to actually go through with recommended service (also, theyre supremely honest about what service is actually needed).I’ve brought my BMW in a couple times at this point for various odds and ends. My expectations probably aren’t as high as they should be, because they’ve been consistently exceeded each time. I’m more than anything always impressed by Mike’s scrupulous honesty and excellent expectations management. I’m the kind of person who will put in a silly amount of effort on my own before bringing the car to someone for fear of spending unnecessary money, but Independent is making that attitude hard to justify.

Im taking a long road trip over the long holiday weekend through the desert in 100+ degrees and I just wanted to make sure my car was good to go. They looked it over for me free of charge and I only had to have it there for 2 hours.

These folks always take good care of me and my care. Super conscientious. Customer service is a priority for them and it shows. Yesterday, I took a flat tire to them for repair. They acted like they were happy to see me. Offered me cookies and a coffee or soda while I waited and then charged me nothing for the repair and remounting of the tire. That is how you get customer loyalty.

While traveling to Orange County, my wife and I had a flat tire. We were able to get over to Independent Repair and realized the tire needed to be replaced. The entire staff went to work trying to find us the exact tire we needed. They located one in Gardena, at another tire dealer, and gave us the address.It is very rare these days for a business to do whats in the best interest of the customer even if they will not profit from it. Customer service is very good but repairs are pricey. Quoted 500 for a battery that didn’t need to be replaced and 1200 for a fuel pump. Same price as dealer but without the dealership perks ( ie loaner car) they do offer a AAA discount for diagnostic services which was nice.

Had a flat tire and was in a bind. Randomly came across this shop and my experience was perfect. They didnt have my tire in stock but ordered it for me on the spot and provided a temporary solution so I could continue on my way. These guys are great!

I found this shop near my office, highly rated. Im often sceptical with ratings, but Im glad I found them. I got work quality and the customer service I did not experienced in many, many years. I was initially referred to this facility by the Costco automobile purchase service. I needed to have the wheels checked for alignment on both of my cars. That was done and I received a written report of what was done and was charged a very fair price for the services on both cars. This facility is a bit far from my home but I will go there for future repairs and services (those that I cannot do myself) because I believe that they have very well qualified mechanics and their treatment of customers, like me, was very pleasant and sincerely friendly.

Ive never had a bad experience at Independent Repair on 2720 Artesia Blvd. Theres a great bunch of people working there that do a good and honest job. Something thats unheard of at a lot of auto/tire businesses.

One of the (many) great perks of marrying Toni is that she brought me to Independent, where she had been bringing her cars for years. Ive now been bringing my cars there for decades as well. Theres something about an honest, dependable car repair shop that just cant be beat.

I brought them some new brakes and tires for my truck and they did a great job installing everything. Reasonable price and no complaints.

My experience is not a good one. There are many hidden prices. They try to charge more than they quote you by adding unnecessary items. Take too much time to finish the job.
