I am from Tacoma Washington, the backyard of Wizards of the coast, and I have been to many different card and game shops throughout the years. My wife and I are visiting family and went here yesterday. Ive been to many game stores in my time and I have to say this one is by far my favorite. Alan and I spoke about many different games, his knowledge of board games is far above the average gamer. He helped us settle on a new game I hadnt actually heard of yet, Everdell. He was kind, patient, welcoming, and the board games are incredibly well priced. Do yourself a favor skip buying online and head into this shop, its well worth it. We moved from Southern California where we had very specific shops we enjoyed visiting. Walking into this store felt like walking back into what felt like home. This is definitely our new place to shop. We have missed this! They have a great selection of hobby supplies, board games, Warhammer, Gundam, dice, and DnD miniatures!!!! The people in the store are really nice too and welcoming.

This business is so nice as soon as you walk in it looks amazing, the place is cozy and the staff is super friendly, my brother and I walked in to get some yugioh cards for the first time and he asked what can he help us with and showed us the place also they offer a few specials and all in all i would go there every time id get something for yugioh or any other card games.

Super awesome place! I got some dice and the D&D handbook and the atmosphere was so fun and friendly, so much to choose from and so clean! Plus, the shop puppy is sooo sweet and cute! 5⭐️ totally recommended!

If they do not have something in stock, they put in great effort to order what you may be looking for. Customer service is very important to me when Im shopping for anything and Matrix Games hits the highest level in that regards in my opinion. I consider it a great joy when Im there, and shop there for all my gaming and miniature hobby needs, as well as just looking at all the cool stuff they have. Other gamers who shop there are fun to socialize with, especially when talking and shopping with similar interests. Cant say enough about Matrix Games and fully appreciate who they are what they do for our gaming and miniature enthusiast community.

Awesome store for all sorts of gaming, anything from role-playing games, board games, trading card games, miniatures, dice, you name it. If theres something they dont have, they will happily order it and get it to you as soon as possible. Very friendly staff, they even gave my young child their very first Pokémon card.

Holy Gundams and Board Games, Batman! This tiny little shop has more goodies than you can roll some dice at! Oh yea, they have lots of dice as well. Also, miniatures to paint, gundam accessories, card games, and snacks. I love coming here because they have so much stuff. I also hate coming here because they have so much stuff. Everytime I leave here, my wallet is a little lighter, but I get a Nat 20 to happiness.

Great place if youre into any kind of table top gaming. Years ago I was part of a weekly role play game and Allen would let us use one of his tables when we didnt have anywhere else to go. Hes always helping someone learn a new board game or sharing advice. Its a very friendly atmosphere.

An amazing store and amazing staff! Went in to buy Christmas presents and was generously given way more than I payed for. Very generous, knowledgeable and warm staff. They have all the games you could want and even rooms to play the games. It felt like a community center for gamers and the store main motivation is to support the community of gamers. Highly recommend this store. Great local store to support.

Very cool place. Lots of hobby-specific supplies and collectables, and they have close to a hundred different board games for sales, most of which Ive never heard of. They also have shared play space and loaner games, so you can try before you buy.

Ive been to a Lot of card shops in California and I can truly say this is the best and most comfortable shop Ive been to. The product placement is superb. The staff are super friendly and they will help you. The community is kind hearted and accepting. They do offer a wide array of products, and prices are extremely fair.

This is the best table top gaming store around. They have a huge selection of miniatures from all the popular ranges. The owners will help you with anything and the atmosphere is very casual.

Alan is a really excellent host and shop owner. I used to have a large group of friends who would get together here on the weekends. It is a really rad shop and seriously one Redding’s coolest hidden gems.

The store manager Alan is always welcoming and the shop is well kept and cool with the newest product in stock. A perfect local game store.

Great place to take the kids for gaming nights and supplies. Something for their minds to do besides tv and internet. The owner GAVE them some miniatures to paint and put together.

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff

This gem is hidden on Hilltop. They have a wide selection of family games for sale, the largest D&D dice selection I have found in Redding, Gundams if you like to build things and much more. My favorite is the rack of games the store owner Alan has for customers to play for free so they can try new things or so they can make new friends with other people who like rpgs and are there looking for someone to play a game with.

The staff always goes above and beyond to help you with what ever it is you need, even if the seem busy. Tuesday night magic drafts and magic pre-release events are the best part of this store. The staff is also super knowledgeable with whatever is popular in magic, what decks are doing well and if certain cards are going up in value. some people might complain that they over price their cards, but I say it helps support your local game shop.

Matrix has a wonderful selection of board games. I went in to see what they had for the game Munchkin. They had every one I was looking for, and a few Id never heard of.They had three separate rooms to have game tournaments or to play games. They had a full shelving unit of open games, so it seems that you could try some games before you buy them.Im not into Dungeons and Dragons, but they seemed to have a huge selection supporting it.Plus, all of the board games are always 20% off the ticketed price.

Redding is incomplete without a place such as this. Youre welcome to sit for hours talking or playing on their many table areas. Youre free to look through their wide range of playing cards for purchase. Staff and customers who are frequently in store are fun to be around. Most importantly the owner himself is an amazingly cool and friendly person who is a very knowledgeable professional businessman. This is a fair and honest business and they treat you like family.

Large, clean, and friendly gaming store. Drove seven hours to check it out and it did not disappoint. Three large rooms with play areas in each. Immediately wanted to buy because pricing was competitively low. Love the owners.

I dont get to go often due to work, but this store is awesome. Lots of space to enjoy your favorite games. They are open for most the night, and day so the hours are flexible. Overall just really great enviroment for gamers of all types. They have demos on how to play different board games,and they hold Friday Night Magic, drafting when a new set of Magic releases. Give it a go if your in town, and want to unleash your inner gamer.

If you like games, this place is for you. Its clean, the people are nice, and they have lots of space to play games. The owners do a good job of making people feel welcome when you come to just try a new boardgame (they have many open boxes you may play for free).

I only buy my MTG and D&D from Matrix. Alan and Terri treat their customers very well and remember you and treat you like family if you end up in there enough!
