Ive been doing business with Advanced Concepts for several years. Time and again they have been there when I needed help. Several years ago, I had them build a brand new computer for me and I have not had one problem with my new unit. These people know what they are doing when it comes to computers. They are the BEST in town.

It is tempting to think about how much money we can save by bypassing local stores to shop directly online for computers. Dont make that mistake right now! With covid and a chip shortage the supply chain with online buying is an absolute mess. I purchased a laptop, 3 monitors and a docking station from Advanced Concepts in the last 6 months and while they too struggle with delays and inventory, they caught issues and made them right while delivering exactly what I needed.My only honest criticism is that the owner is extremely busy all the time and appears to struggle with delegating to staff. Consider working with staff members if your project is time sensitive.Big box stores and online experiences will absolutely disappoint you with the current supply chain problems and the savings are simply not worth the headaches and delays. I had to file fraud charges against Newegg just to get my money back. Save yourself the headache and buy from Advanced Concepts.

This is a two fold encounter -I went to this business looking for a specific monitor i could not find in Redding. After speaking with these guys and telling them what i was looking for we had a monitor ordered. The monitor was ready for pick up the morning of day two. I was impressed with the cost, timeliness and professionalism.As i am one that likes to build my own rigs, I went back to Advanced Concepts a few weeks later, looking to upgrade a few major components. After speaking with the guys they helped me determine that some of the major components did not need to be replaced as i was getting a sever bottleneck for a different source. Due to the shortage of some components I was told they would have a solution for me shortly. Within an hour i received a call that they found what we were looking for and the order was placed.All in all these guys know their stuff, not only were they able to explain things in a great detail but they listened to what i was trying to do and guided me to a solution that saved me a lot of money.

Its sad to see a local mom and pop shop join the scalpers, I definitely dont recommend shopping here if you value your time and money. I wanted to see if they could help out with getting my pc running. I am only missing a graphics card (probably like alot of people) becuase i was in high hopes the will come back in stock.They said they didnt have any left and that it will cost 2000$+ for an rtx 3080 and offered me that option. After I kindly declined his over inflated price, he then offered me a pre-built computer which is what brought me to write this review.The pre-built PC would be the following specs- amd 5600 graphics card- amd ryzen 5 cpu- 8 gig ddr4 ramThis was the baseline spec and it was offered to me for 2600$.... which is probably close to 2x - 3x the actual price. You can buy a pre-built off of Walmart with better specs at 1/3 of the price.Before the great gpu shortage of 2020/2021 this may have been a great store and I was happy to support a local mom and pop place even if it was a couple bucks more. But them taking advantage of people during these tough times and joining the scalpers side by charging 2x to 3x msrp makes me sad and ill gladly take my hard earned money and patiently wait for the gpus to come back in stock.thankyou for reading my long review

Advanced Concepts fully merits #1 rating. I entered their shop on Bechelli for the first time Monday, looking for a hard drive reader. Two previous tries at other computer shops were unsuccessful. One never heard of such a thing and the other dismissed me superciliously with a we dont handle them. Kurt pulled exactly what I wanted off of a shelf, then took out my old hard drive (it was stuck) and installed it in the reader for me then and there. In and out the door in twenty minutes for a very reasonable fee. What more could I ask for?

Awesome shop! Needed a mounting bracket i didnt have (manufacturer mess up) for my MB, its an accessory that comes with my MB and id have to get a new MB to get that bracket. Well these guys went through their scrap pile to find me a pc to take home with a MB in it with the exact bracket i needed. Amazing, all for a MB bracket!

I read the reviews before I went into the business. Only 2 really horrible ones, and thats because the customer service rep was honest. I have the worlds oldest working laptop. I just took in a 2005 Toshiba with Microsoft 7. The fan sounded like a 727 was taking off. They not only fixed it, at the price quoted, they also didnt try to sell me anything. Yes, they warned me I had 1 year before Microsoft doesnt support my laptop. The customer service was outstanding. Did I mention it was repaired before the said it would be? Just a great little business.

These guys are the best. They are knowledgeable without being elitist...I cant ask for anything more. Bryce was outstanding in helping me find the computer I needed. He went out of his way to make sure that I was getting the most up to date information on the machine I was purchasing, and now I can play a brand new game with the graphics set to ultra. It is gorgeous, and I am thrilled.

A great local business. As soon as you enter you are greeted by some of the friendliest people, who show a passion in their work. They know what they are doing and they do it well. Great service and a great environment for both PC gamers and the common PC user. Just got a new gfx card.

AC is top notch as far as IT and support. Jim, Phil, Cory, Michele, Bryce, Kirk, Matthew and Jackie best IT team I have ever worked with. They make you feel like you are their only customer. Superior customer service. I would definitely recommend anyone to use them.

I just had another GREAT experience with a tech named Bryce from Advanced Concepts. He helped me with what was really a hoax virus message. He was most helpful and patient and walked me through every step while on the phone with me and cleared up the problem. He also gave me some great advice on what to look for and also let me know about a subscription virus protection program which is excellent. Thank you once again to Advanced Concepts and Bryce.

They pretty much told me I should throw my computer in the trash and buy a new one. They wouldnt work on it.. I guess their honest.. Although Im still using that same computer to this very day..

Ive been going to Advanced Concepts for a few years now. I purchased a notebook computer from them earlier this year and I have been very happy with it. No problems at all with it. Ive had several questions about how to do certain things and Advanced has always gone out of their way to help me out.Prior to purchasing the new notebook computer I had them work on my old computer a couple times. Once was a virus and the other time was a blue screen in Windows. Both times they quickly corrected the issue. The virus was the first time I used Advanced and before choosing them I called around to get prices and to get a feel for how the companies handled things. Advanced was as much as half the price and very nice and professional.I would (and have) highly recommend them to all my family, friends and co-workers.

I recently took in my pc because I could not get it to display after I had attempted to install a new motherboard. The service at advanced concepts was great they called often with updates and made sure it was all easy to understand. Id recommend the place to anybody.

Streaming satellite television on the go. Wanted DirecTV from at&t smart phone transposed onto 20 monitor screen for viewing inside of a semi-truck. The best place for fixing laptops/pcs! The only problem is it takes a while... But it was worth the wait! They made my laptop Windows 10 and fixed the virus! I love Advanced Concepts, theyve done many great things to fix laptops... I totally recommend this place!

We have been using Advanced Concepts for our business IT needs for more than five years now. They have continually proven themselves invaluable to our medical practice. They have always been professional, prompt and attentive to the needs of our staff.Prior to changing from another local IT company, we continually had problems. Many of which impacted out operations. Shortly after going with AC, our issues began to disappear and now are so infrequent that IT is something I rarely have to think of. Just as important is how quickly the staff at AC responds to our questions and needs.They have also played a primary role in the security of our practice. Advanced Concepts has taken care of all of our HIPAA requirements; which is no small task.If you run a medical practice (or any business for that matter), I cant recommend them enough. Ive been here to get several computers fixed and they do a great job in a timely fashion, plus everything was explained to me in a way I completely understood.Their products are also outstanding. I refuse to buy any hardware at BestBuy because if you get it here, you might pay an extra buck or two, but itll last a heck of a lot longer.Dont listen to naysayers. Just try it out and decide for yourself. You wont regret it.

Advanced Concepts has serviced our companies for over 20 years now. We have operations across the country and their service team been great to deal with all this time. Recently we had problems with some of our old programs not working properly with the new windows operating system, this of course has nothing directly to do with Advanced Concepts, but none the less they found a way to update the software and get us back in motion. Im writing this review just to reach out and say thanks for all the great service over the years. Whether we have had a need here at our headquarters in Redding or our offices in Atlanta, they have always been great to work with and fair. Thanks to the entire team for your service and support of our companies.

Advanced Concepts really knows what they are doing. I walked in and told them I was looking for a medium to high range gaming PC. Their store was stocked with parts and I was able to get a quote within moments of telling Jim what I wanted. Being a gaming PC I was on a little bit of a budget and had shopped around online, but Jim was able to set me up with some great financing options. The build only took a few days, and it was so clean. The build technician took the time to hide all the cables cleanly so I would not see them, very professional looking. I cant thank them enough for their service and their ability to get this done so fast. Not to mention I didnt have to pay shipping (which is a huge negative of ordering online).

I stopped in today with my Winbook Tablet....Gentleman there asked me to wait a moment while he took it in the back to check a connector....came back several minutes later and told me it was a minor problem...just needed a new USB cord....he didnt have one, offered to order it or said to just go to Office Depot down the street....diagnosed and NO CHARGE!!! I will definitely be taking my business to this establishment!!

We bought 2 computers and a printer from this business. Spent a lot of money there. Courteous sales person tho, but that is all. Not more than 2 months into having the computers we started having troubles. First the laptop developed a problem. Cost us an additional $200 to get a 2 month old computer fixed. Took almost a month to get it back. Next the 3 month old Desktop computer developed a problem. Cost us an additional $200 to get that one fixed. Took another 2 weeks to get it back. Got the 2nd one home and to our amazement we had more trouble. The mouse was also defective. This company doesnt stand by their products. They give a lot of excuses and will charge you money for their problems in the first place. Would not recommend this business to my family, friends, coworkers or anyone. Beware! We have had nothing but problems & headaches with them. Will never go back.

I have heard so many good things about Advancced Concepts around town, so I decided to take my computer in there when it had its latest hiccup.When I went in, I was treated professionally and promptly. Its hard to find good customer service these days, but they were very attentive right away.I was pleased with how quickly they figured out my issue. You could tell that they only hire people who know what theyre doing.I know a lot of people in this town go to Geek Squad, but I have never liked them. It seems like everything they do is $200 and somehow miraculously ends in the suggestion for a new computer. Ill be back.

I have bought several computers from Advanced Concepts. I first went into the store because I knew Jims parents. I have kept coming back for 15 years because they know what they are doing. They do not have any overpowering sales people and they only sell top notch equipment. My last computer I bought after my house was destroyed in a fire 5 1/2 years ago and it is finally on its last leg. I wanted to purchase a new computer two years ago, but couldnt convince myself to spend the money since my old one was still doing great. Any problems I have ever had with faulty equipment (not their fault) was very quickly fixed. I give them 6 of 5 stars...

The people at Advanced Concepts are friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to help. That being said, their prices for computer parts are marked up about 25-30 percent -- so if you can buy the parts you need before going to them, youll save yourself a lot of money.For example:Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1070 in their store: $499.00 vs. online $430.00Geforce HB SLI Bridge in their store: $100.00 vs. online $70.00So if youre someone who knows nothing about computers, and just doesnt want to have to go through the hassle of thinking about and ordering parts, this store is great, as long as youre willing to pay the premium.

My computer was not getting online so I took it to Advanced Concepts in Redding. After 9 days and $70.00 later, I was told my antenna was loose. (That took 9 days and $70.00 labor?). I went home and was finally getting online but at speeds between 800-1000 MPS. So I took it back and I was told that it was either my network connection at home, or the processor on the comp was bad. Frustrated I took it home,ordered a new WIFI card from Amazon for $5.65 and installed it,figuring I had nothing to lose. And VOILA! Everything is back to normal! I dont recommend Advanced Concepts, bad service, bad advice and it took 9 days!

The most disgusting group of liars and thieves I have ever experienced in Redding without question. $900 for a computer from day one had issues that they would not fix. Step through the door of this business and you will be ripped off. STAY AWAY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The guys on the floor have the best technical knowledge in Redding. Ive built 2 computers from scratch on their guidance, and after 3 years both run solid and fast. Ive worked with Jim Scott and he made sure I was completely satisfied with the products and the service. The price I paid was less than some hodge-podge PC mass produced for bestbuy and sold by some flunky that works only because his parents force him to.Its no fault of advanced concepts but I had one component wear out. I let Jim Scott know and he got the part warrantied and now Im rockin again. Its good to know that if there is a problem, you can walk into the store and talk to somebody that actually knows your machine.
