Never an employee when you need them, this was going on before covid. Long lines with no cashiers as always and now rearranging and remodeling has everything chaotic. Ive been doing more shopping online lately.

Great selection and prices. It is almost impossible to get anything thats locked up. Someone is supposed to show up to help but most of the time they just dont.

Looking for a specific item looked online before going it said item in stock. Get to the store asked numerous employees where to find the item and were told where the item should be found. Looked on the aisle not found. We asked an employee in the area where they were and she tried to send us back where we already looked. Extremely rude, only one cashier in the whole store so you are expected to use self checkout but you cant pay with cash. Worst store in the county.

Always go to Walmart when I go shopping they have great prices and friendly people the lines are a little long someday but I expect that because everyone else wants to save money too! Lol! Its like a one stop shop!! Also they have a great return policy

I have been trying to talk to a rep at the pharmacy for 4 hours straight and dialing continuously but only get recycled in the menu. There is NOBODY at the store that will answer any phone or take a message or give an explanation. Totally unacceptable and totally unprofessional.

I love to be able to put my order online and pick it up. Employees are so friendly when they bring your items to your car! Ive gone in twice and its always crowded and you wait in line forever.

This Walmart is so filthy. But they did have what I was looking for. The cashier was new and he was awesome. He had a great attitude and was friendly.

Its a Walmart, has everything youd expect from a Walmart. Poorly lit outside huge homeless/tweaker hangout. Theres 20+ check-out registers with only about 4 employees at them at any time, with long lines. I try an not use self checkout as it takes the job of a person so its a huge inconvenience. Also almost everything you need is locked in a cage. The workers with the keys to those cases are hard to find even with the help of the other employees helping you

Honestly this Walmart just surprises me that is even open anymore, cant ever find what I am looking for. The past 4 months I have been going to the toy section for kid siblings for Nascar diecast and Monster Jam Spinmaster diecast and it hasnt been stocked in forever, you can tell. Just going to start going to Target or the Walmart in Anderson. This Walmart needs to pick it up on restocking everything.

Can’t purchase beer or alcohol in a self checkout lane. So after 20 min in line I was told this is illegal in California. I was directed to another line of people in cosmetics who were sent to purchase alcohol.. another 8 min. Pass. It only took only 5 min to select my items.. I was then thinking it was over, I’m walking out ok. Then I was in another line to get out. The exit guard/door Employee was lining everyone up and wanted to search my legal property. No more Walmart. I will do my best to never shop at your stores…

I would shop more at Walmart if they didnt make me stand in a 30-minute line. They have more check out spaces than Costco but minimal lanes open during the day with people waiting in line for up to 30 minutes.One Plus is that I do see enough people on the floor to ask questions and get answers where things are located. They also have a decent selection of just about anything you want but most of it is pretty cheap. Theres your extra star.

Better than usual but there are too few people who want to work so the lines are longer than ever, customer service is taking a big hit and the great people who want to work and not live of the taxes of the hard workers are wearing out. When will we get a clue that Socialism does not work and is not in the best interest of our great country . Vote them out!!!! Newsome has to go.

30 minutes to check out… is that acceptable? The USA feels like a 3rd world country, brought to you by Walmart. Two checkers on a weekday evening, with a line 30 people long.

Wal-Mart is often the best place to go for good deals on just about anything you might need. But the employees never know where anything is, are often rude, or not capable of doing their job (answering calls to unlock items or actively ignore people in need of help at self checkout). So where as items and prices deserve 5 stars. The employees however deserve 1 star. So 3 stars for overall.

What a total mess this store has become! Not only are they out of stock on everything, its in total disarray. Theres no one thats willing to help you, its very difficult to find things and the lines are so long you want to just SCREAM! 20 checkout lanes and only 2 are open! Why is that?! I recommend you go somewhere else for your mediocre goods and services.

Store is just plain not functioning properly.. shelves are bare carts are all out in the parking lot . Just a poorly managed mess.. Walmart just never has anything you come to buy in the shelves and the dozens of wandering employees are not doing anything to make the store run smoothly.. they all seem to be emptying the shelves and making the store even less convenient or useful . Get a fullfillment center dont strip the mortar and brick store down to nothing .. Walmart is just plain awful to shop at now ..

Long lines. Not enough cashiers. Nobody knows ANYTHING! Watched while 3 different employees Tried to figure out a price. All of us in line joined in to help the couple trying to make that purchase. Yes,we said...actually the customer is Right!! If there is anyone smart out there needing a job Please apply for Management!! Dont even start me on the buyers for this store! Never ever going back!! Changing my RXs and getting the hell out of Crazy, non caring bs! You have Lost many people through out the last year and I am not sure youll be able to recover.

Great store had to go in and get items for my work, super convenient and close to home. Have been coming here for the last 1 year almost that I’ve lived here and I love this store. Most employees are nice, one employee, Max was super friendly and you could tell he cared about his job which was nice to see employees with good work ethic. Haven’t seen him in a while though unfortunately. Cleanliness is great and their online grocery services isAmazingly convenient. I’m not a fan of being inside Walmart I try to avoid going in now but their ogp is great. You can order your groceries online and at no cost pick them up, or for a delivery fee you can have your groceries delivered to your house. Amazing service they offer, absolutely love it. I highly recommend trying the online services a try.

The prices are pretty good but the customer service is dismal. There are never enough open registers so standing in line for long periods of time is normal. The shelves are sparsely stocked. There are no chairs or benches for disabled people like myself to stop and take a breather.

They illegally check your receipts when exiting forcing you to wait in lines.Staff openly admits not to vaccinating, nor do they care about vaccination. They also refused to wear masks. I understand that thats your issue do not get vaccinated, but please understand that your opinions of your workplace will affect your work and the customers experience.Other than that its a walmart, it is what it is

They have almost everything, but having to wait on someone to unlock simple items like underwear is ridiculous. Curbside pick-up is exceptionally nice, if they have the items in stock. Never enough registers open.

Its cool and they have what you need. you just got to either be lucky or look around for work or if you happen to need one. Thats only because everything in the whole world is changing.

Ive been standing at a glass case for 10 minutes now waiting to be assisted with an item that is only 1 dollar... this is the worst system. Im pretty sure there is only one set of keys and the person in charge of them is asleep...

Usually have no issues except every once in awhile theres a employee with a bad attitude. But I dont take it personal I know they have to put up with a lot of negativity on a daily basis.

In the midst of a remodel so the isles are a mess, but the worst part was that there were approximately 20 self check out stations, and only one that accepts cash, and there were only two cashiers working the store at 7 pm. Bad management.

An absolute madhouse! Not enough help. Had to wait a good 20 minutes for someone to UNLOCK the vacuums! Lines extended back into isles. Most registers were closed! The only saving grace to this place is that the employees that are there were really great, very polite and helpful. Also the curbside pickup service was great. Those ladies work hard in that heat. I think Wal-Mart should hire more people, pay them very well, and give them lots of incentives to stay in order to retain the experienced staff they have.

Its Redding, so, I dont know. I actually really love this area, but its definitely a small city. This super center is not as nice as the brand new supercenter in Red Bluff, and the selection is kinda ghetto. But, its fairly clean and does the trick....

Horribly dirty stinky dis organized empty shelves

The store was full of groceries, cans, boxes, packages and fresh and frozen. It was nice to see so much. We were on a visit to lower Oregon from So. CA. The stores were definitely well stocked. I even got my favorite soda which I havent seen in months.

Utter incompetence. Unless you are using self check and have no interaction with anyone in their leadership expect inconvenience and a headache.I placed an order for grocery delivery on Monday for Wednesday delivery. On Wednesday they called me to tell me their system crashed and that my order would be delivered that evening. I called them that they night and they said they had no management available and that the order would be delivered Thursday morning. Then the order was canceled by their system. I called them Thursday morning and they said I had to reorder for same day delivery which was not an option. However I reordered for delivery for today. The delivery window has now passed and the manager that promised to call me has not. I had to speak with another associate who told me the problem was with my bank. I called the bank and they assured me it was not. So much for subscribing to a delivery service for convenience. Biggest waste of money and time ever. Unfortunately this is the 5th time Ive had an issue with this store within 7-8 interactions.

Drive into any Walmart parking lot, you know they have a lot of customers. No surprise. Why do they not hire an adequate staff to check them out? A 20 minute wait is the average. I go there for prescriptions and no other reason, wait there is unreasonable, too.

Well in this trip I had to ask an employee to help me located an item. Not only did the employee not know but neither did the next one that she asked. With some time and a little effort it was found. Feels like a little more training for the employees about there store and the products they carry there and there location would help.

Not enough cashiers working, long lines and only 2 lanes open.

While I understand the security measures that have been put in place for a reason, that should not lower customer care. Gaining access to products behind lock and key is hard to get. Whether in sporting goods or toys, I had to ask multiple times to get access for a product. Eventually I stopped going in the store and just ordered online or for pick instead of walking in. They can do better here.

This walmart is horrible. Not laid out like any other walmart. Difficult to find anything, dirty, panhandlers and people living in the parking lot. Unfriendly staff and very long slow checkout lines. In Redding go to the other walmart.

There seems to always be a line. Lots of people. Only once had an employee that took her sweet time to get customers in and out. Did everything except ring me up.

This Walmart has its share or problems, which are repeated in these reviews but Walmart as a whole has upped its game both in selection of food and necessities, and prices relative to, at least, the rest of Redding and Amazon. Im pleasantly surprised at what I can find in Walmart that I havent anywhere else in town. Their reasonable handling of the 2020 government restrictions and devotion to their customers won me over.

I havent been to this Walmart in months. I had to go the other day to pick up an item.. The place is filthy dirty and their shelves were a disarray. So very thankful that we have the one in Anderson that is nice and clean.

The store tells you they close at 11pm. Google tells you they close at 11pm.The poor kid they put at the front doors tells everyone walking up that they stop letting people in the door at 1040pm.I get it. You have to stop the flow of traffic at some point. But post that somewhere.And get a manager with some backbone. The manager sticks a kid out at the front door to deal with every angry customer that wasted their time coming down BEFORE 11PM! The posted closing time.

For the 15th-20th time this year Walmart in Redding is OUT OF BAGS . Other grocers and dept stores are reaping from their lack nearby . Hire someone accountable and do your job !

I am baffled by the treatment I received while trying to make a quick run to Walmart. I press the help button to get someone to open the glass case for me. I waited for about 10 minutes before walking around the vicinity to look for a worker. Another five minutes without finding one employee, I run into two walking passed me. I asked “Nick” and another employee to help me find someone who can assist me. Both looked in my direction, both walked past me and the other associate uttered “i’m off the clock”. On top of that, I ran from each side of the building to find where cash was accepted. Do Better.

Horrible. Just simply horrible. To start its wal-mart, 3 stars on average. To continue there were next to no employees to help. Everything is now locked either behinde glass or these wierd magnetic locking cables, to make it worse none of the very few employees i was able to find had keys for any of the locked items i wanted.

I was in electronics area waiting to be served to get my electronics that I wanted. And there were not very many people in there that are working in that area. And that was in Redding store.

Google keeps prompting me to review, so heres a review. Its a Walmart, like every other Walmart out there. Do I dread it when I have to go there? Yes. Are they out of what I need half the time when I do go? Also yes. Sometimes a trip to Walmart is unavoidable.Im not a fan of groups of people. The employees are generally friendly, but the store itself is short staffed like so many other places. Its the other customers I would complain about if I could!

I use this store mostly for Walmart pickup. Their pickup staff is helpful and friendly. And try hard to find your needs and replacements.

As far as Walmart Super Centers go, Reddings version is less than spectacular. Youll be approached both coming inside and going out by the multitudes of handout seeking individuals looking to get another dollar or dime.Inside youll find the isles poorly stocked and what you do find wont have the right price in front of it. Pallets of goods hoping to be put on the shelf. Makes you feel like youre at goodwill looking for a special find.

Store is very dirty. Items are under stocked. Lady associate in cosmetics and health care was very helpful however. Few registers open resulting in long wait to pay forpurchases.

Dont ever try to call because no one can be bothered to answer the phone! They should have an automated response saying they dont give a rats button about customers! Good luck finding an associate if you ever need to find anything because they dont have enough employees to be bothered.

By far the worst walmart Ive ever been to, hard to find anything because of how weird the store is set up and a guaranteed 30 min wait in line. The self checkouts dont take cash, but they dont tell you that anywhere until after youve waited in line and get to the register. Its worth the extra 5-10% more to shop at target to me after this experience.

Well i went to pick up my curbside grocery order. ( about 2 weeks of food) my order wasnt even in grocery bags!! I take that back... There was 1 bag with 2 cans of green beans in it. Other than that none... I even had to get out of my car and unload the cart myself!! The employee was to busy on his phone to help me... And there is never a manager around and when you do find one they act like youre wasting their time. I have pics too. But no way to post...Never going back there. Ill drive to Anderson where they have customer relation trained employees..

Does the trick for my groceries. Isn’t the nicest Walmart I’ve been too. It’s gotten better since last year. Thankful for the new shopping carts. They tend to be out of things very consistently. Though I still go back there every week to shop since it’s the only Walmart in Redding!

Someone please tell me why there shelfs are always empty, the lines are always long, and 8 out of 10 times when you ask an employee where something is they say not my department, Im not sure or just Dont know.ATTENTION WAL MART EMPLOYEES: That is not an answer! And part of your job is to assist customers, youll recognize us, cause were the ones standing in those long lines with our wallets out. You know the ones making it possible for you to have a job!Just Saying.......So maybe Im not the best person to ask about their experiences at Wal Mart..

I was so disappointed with my shopping experience today at Walmart of Redding. I could not buy a pair of socks without having to have a cashier come to unlock the cabinets so I could get a pair. I can not believe that they have had to resort to having socks and under ware under lock and key! I have to say, that this Walmart has lost my business. The money they have spent to keep SECURITY for socks and under ware at their store boggles the mind!

They are currently moving everything around but all together easy to navigate.

Alcohol is in a weird front of store spot near the front door. Due to theft you have to be walked in personally by staff. They must be short staffed. Took 30 minutes to buy one bottle. Wont do that again for sure!

I had a horrible last visit to this store. My husband and I waited in a long line for about 30 minutes. Once we had all our items on the belt the cashier tells us he only is accepting card, no cash. Of course the one day I am paying with cash. I tell him I dont see a sign saying card only and why didnt he say something sooner. He was rude, my 11 year old niece also thought he was rude, and we asked him what cashier is taking cash? He couldnt answer that nor did he try to find out/help after I asked him to . Poor customer service. While I waited in a different line my husband went to customer service to let someone know what had happened and the lady said she didnt know why that cashier was open and left it at that. Just a waste of our time.

If you want trash service for decent prices then this is your place, but good luck ever getting somebody to unlock one of the cases for you. Ive waited up to 40 minutes to have someone unlock a case 😡

Absolutely horrible... they claim the glass cases are to keep prices low by reducing theft. The problem is you cant buy anything. I did at a case for something pushing the button repeatedly for over 20 minutes and didnt see a single associate. How can you expect to sell things if you dont make them available. Worst store and store model ever. Never coming back and telling anyone who will listen not to either.

Waited 75 minutes for assistance that never came in the bike department. Needed tire tube, tire, handlebar grips, and a kit. Seen a dozen people wait and leave after 20 or 30 minutes of no help. At one point there were four or five different groups of people there trying to by everything from a hoverboard to a bike to bike seats. Help never came. Only paged one time over the intercom about thirty minutes into my wait and that was all. This is typical and why I try my hardest not to support WalMart

I went to Walmart at 10:18 pm and it states clearly on their hours sign that they close at 11:00 pm!!! Thats 40 minutes early! There was a whole group of people ready to shop and spend money but they lost out! Super poor store efficiency and dishonesty of store hours! Very disappointed and will definitely stop shopping there less.

I just spent 30 minutes waiting for safety glasses that I needed or if a case. Only to have an associate take them out and just hand them to me....what is the point of the case then??

Decent selection, but customer service is virtually non-existent. More and more things, even low dollar items, are behind locked cases, and you can literally wait for 45 minutes to try to get help to unlock it. Their app used to tell you where to find things on the store, but even that went away.

REALLY busy store and understaffed. All I wanted was a cigarette lighter and you cant get it through self check out. Its behind cashier 15 and you have to get in line behind 7 or 8 people with full baskets just to get that one item, So I went to Target. A staff member helped me right away and actually handed them to me. They are located in all check out aisles. I was also able to go through self check out. Walmart really needs a new system for cigarette lighters. Its easier to buy drugs than get a cigarette lighter at walmart.
