I was on the way up to Washington to start my move when my engine cut out going up I-5. After looking around for a shop that could diagnose the issue asap, Autoworks in Redding offered to give it a look that same day, even though they were booked out for the next two weeks. Within a few hours they were able to notify me that my engine seized. While that was an unfortunate outcome, I am impressed with their professional demeanor and expediency in their service, and I would recommend them to anyone in the area.

Finding a place in Redding that would work on Teslas is more difficult than your average car. These guys have great Tesla experience and swapped out some new suspension on my Model 3. Ill definitely be taking my car there in the future for any more aftermarket parts I want installed. I was also told by Andy that they work directly with a well known Tesla aftermarket parts business so thats very reassuring. Highly professional, knowledgable, friendly and accommodating.

Listened to the ask. Diagnosed the problem. Educated me about the problem so I could make an informed decision. Quoted fair price and did not go over that quote. Fixed it fast and right with a friendly and responsive manor. Gold!

Not so fast over booked

I typically hate taking my car in for service. This place has changed all that. From the minute you get them on the phone, the friendly, personable service is the best Ive ever experienced. Andy and his staff get to know you and your car and understand your needs, explaining in terms you can understand what needs to be done (and just as importantly, what can wait, etc.). Work is done quickly and expertly, and pricing is beyond fair. I have zero doubt Ill be taking my vehicles here going forward, thankful Ive found them and telling everyone I can that they should do the same.

Best In ReddingHands down the BEST. Andy and his team arent just master mechanics, they care. Yes, they actually care! They do amazing work and back it up with personal touches I have never experienced at any other shop. The minute you walk in you feel like a friend. Honesty and integrity are just the norm here. My Honda was repaired quickly, and Andy gave me updates on the progress himself! He offered a loaner car as well. Try getting this elsewhere. It wont happen! We purchased a vehicle and it had massive engine failure, within 100 miles. :( (We didnt purchase it from Autoworks)Autoworks diagnosed the problem and helped walk us through the process of getting it repaired.Thats nice. But not why Id recommend them to my dear old mum. The reason for the 5 star rating is because they were courteous and helpful right from the start. They made us feel like they wanted our business, not like we were an inconvenience to them. When the car broke down, we left it in their lot the evening before and they called us before we could call them, to see what we needed and how they could help. They texted to let me know progress. They didnt work on anything that was going to cost before getting permission.They just run their shop like you wish all mechanics would. Professional. With excellence. And with the customer in mind.Very impressed.

Andy, I just wanted to tell you that my Jeep runs the best it ever has since Ive had it. It didn’t even drive like this when I bought it. It was so smooth this morning that I felt like I was literally floating down the interstate compared to pulling that thing as hard as I could to make it go... I drove in AWE for a whole hour in complete silence just listening to the quiet while it drives now. I also enjoyed shifting it and seeing the difference. Thank you so much for HEARING ME and trouble shooting with me & not just sending me off telling me there was nothing wrong and that it’s just old like the dealership guys did. Also for educating me about the engine too! I think it’s going to last a lot longer and I LOVE driving it now.. which is good news since that’s the majority of my life lately. You’re amazing!I’ve NEVER taken any vehicle to a mechanic I felt so safe with to be honest with me and not dig in my pocket. He even SAVED MEMONEY from the original quote when I went to pick it up! Who does that???? These people care about their customers, it’s obvious right from the get go. Go see them for every single vehicle need you have, you’re not just seeing mechanic... I could easily see these people becoming family. I’d have given 10 stars if I could.

John did an amazing job servicing our 2011 Ford Transits engine. Not only did he go above and beyond with the repair (had his technician diagnose and text us photos of the issue), he squeezed our van in last minute and was able to accommodate us ASAP. Well be bringing all of our cars back to John again.

Im a mechanic by trade, and inherently distrustful of having anyone else work on my stuff. However, life dictates that we must defer to another when circumstances arise, as they did on my beloved 93 Toyota pickup. Andys crew did an excellent job replacing the head gasket quickly, reasonably, and most important to me...transparently. Car repair is expensive, but its nice to know there are honest technicians still out there.

Andy took the time to actively listen to me and showed the best customer service that Ive received at any business in a while, by being down to earth, thorough and generous with his time and services. He was quick to diagnose my vehicle and both realistic and upfront about prospective charges. Andy did homework in that he called around to find the cheapest parts to save me $$. He pointed out several options for my given scenario and advised me free of charge. They went the extra mile in other ways that I could rant on about but to summarize, I will send all my business to the honest fellas at AutoWorks. Much appreciated!
