I didnt realize how awesome Berks Medical Equipment was, until we had to change suppliers due to my Mom being on hospice.With Berks, I never had any problem with supplies or delivery. Their equipment is clean and well maintained!

TERRIBLE!!!!! They deserve ZERO stars!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY for medical supply needs!! They told me to get an rx from my PCP for replacement parts for my machine, billed my insurance company over 300% of the actual cost of supplies and will not refund the supplies still in packaging!! I received a $400 bill for CPAP masks that cost $12 online FROM THE SUPPLIER!!! DO NOT LET THEM TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOU OR YOUR ELDERLY LOVED ONES! I’m disgusted!
I had spent 2 hours on the phone trying to locate a company that would provide my husband with a wheelchair. I found Berks Medical and was taken care of professionally and kindly. They are working with my doctor and ins to get the chair covered. In the meantime I have rented a chair from them that will be the permanent chair when they get things worked out. Brand new chair, perfect size and lightweight for me to handle. They couldnt be more helpful. Thanks Berks Equipment, you guys rock !!!!
Never used there service. Was following there delivery van today. Driver was swerving from line to line. Speed up and slow down suddenly. Noticed he was texting, on his phone. Should be noted.
I have used Berks Medical Equipment for 10+ years and never had an issue. When I had a question the staff was always prompt and professional.It seems unhappy people are more willing to share their story than those that are satisfied.
THIS IS A LONG ONE!!!If I could give -stars I would!My husband and I have been trying to get our CPAP supply. Called our Dr. Office for the referral 2 weeks ago and we gave Berks Med. time to give us a call back when the supply was ready here its Oct. 31 I called and asked if the order was ready and the lady told me, No, because they dont accept handwritten referrals So we are here waiting for this order and they couldnt call us to tell us this, so we could call our doctors office to have them resend the proper fax? Okay so we called our Drs office the secretary resend the proper referral, keep in mind we called our doctors around 10am here we are waiting for the call saying its ready to be picked up. Called Berks Med. at 2:26 pm lady says no we havent receive no fax, so again no return call to let us know, called our Drs she said I did send it and the secretary said I will call them as soon as I send it. Here secretary calls us back telling us that Berks med. told her oh the fax was missing some codes. Like for real? Weve done this before its not our Drs secretary first time doing this! It is 4:05pm and we have not receive a call back from Berk med. which at this moment not really expecting it.Point is they DONT KNOW HOW TO COMMUNICATE WITH THE PATIENTS.
Ive been on oxygen for years. My lungs were scarred by a Covid19 like pneumonia. Many people who survive the ravages of COVID pneumonia will become o2 dependent as well.So its never been more vitally important to find oxygen/medical equipment providers we can trust and count on.Berks Medical is By far the worst O2 co. Ive ever dealt with. My doctors feel the same way.From the start, phone communications with this company, have been fraught with upset and delays.If you are sick, bedridden, house bound, Quarantining,Call someone else.In fact, Call Anyone else!Put it this way, if there was a Minus 5 Stars option, that would be an overly generous rating.The people whom one is forced to deal with, in their so called, Customer Service dept, are the rudest people on earth. They shouldnt be anywhere near a phone.Certainly shouldnt be allowed to deal with the Ill.They make getting what one needs to survive, and in many cases, to stay alive, upsetting, difficult, and almostimpossible to receive.This week when I called for supplies, a call Id put off because of the horrible treatment Ive received in past, I was told, in a cold, rude, Very put out voice- that this was the last time they would EVER deliver, what this woman, Denise called disposable items to me.*Without these so-called disposable items I cant use my equipment.Ive maybe needed supplies 3 or 4x in past yr.The unnecessary rudness of this woman was unbelievably upsetting.There was simply no reason for her hard, abrasive, abusive tone.They claim now that they do not, And WILL Not deliver tubing, nasal cannulas, nebulizer kits, cpap equipment to Anyone.Not even during a pandemic.They also wont FedEx or mail it either, said its too cost effective.If you offer to pay for the delivery, they claim they cant/wont do that either.Claim theyre not mandated to deliver these items,and Arent allowed to mail them either.Claim all their clients,/sick people have neighbors who run these errands.What if u dont have neighbors, or wouldnt or couldnt ask them for this favor- which is to provide what Berks Medical is legally contracted to supply; things you need to surviveWhat if youre quarantining, bedridden, sick, elderly, spouse is dead and/or unavailable, and you cant drive or leave the house?Apparently they feel no obligation to provide you with the items you need to access the equipment theyre legally contracted to supply, things you need to stay alive.If you have the misfortune to have to speak to customer service, gird your loins. These people are cold,and mean, and needlessly cruel.In other words,Save yourself,go somewhere else.Go anywhere else but here.
Very rude staff. They cant tell me the cost of the c-pap machine. They said it depends on who my insurance is with. Really? When I tried to ask the price if I were to pay for it myself, she continued to talk over me, so I hung up. This is not the first time Ive dealt with this company and the rude staff but it will be the last. I will also be sure to tell everyone I know.
Rude, disrespectful, makes fun of clients medical disabilities, and withholds medical information to prevent you from taking your business elsewhere. Trust me...Ive been dealing with them for 15 years because my insurance didnt allow me to go elsewhere. I finally broke free a few months ago! Never again with these people!
Seems like they really try to make it hard to get what you need. Cpap department pretty much never answers and only accepts messages when they ARE open.
Date of Visit: Wednesday November 8 2017. Ive been a customer of Berks Medical Equipment off and on for years. Today I visited them and purchased and item that they had in stock. Got it at a fair price. I will use the again.
Went to look at compression stockings. Although their prices are higher than some internet sites(the reason for a four star vs. a five star rating) the advice provided was excellent in regard to which manufacturer, what size and how to don the socks.A pleasant experience.
Never been treated so badly in my life. Tried to charge me for a service because I got a hand me down machine and could not get the insurance money for a new machine.
Be nice if you were open Saturdays at least a few hours. REALY!?
I was given an incorrect size for my prescribed compression stockings and attempted to return it. My request was rejected because it has been more than 3 months (I didnt realize this was their policy) and was told that it was the customer responsibility to check the size before leaving the store. I have filed a complaint with the BBB.
Clueless, and rude to customers. Waited 15 minutes to get waited on. Only one other customer in the store, got me mixed up with someone else,and when I got a little upset they threatened to call security. Oohh. Good luck dealing with these clowns.
