They had no inventory . one person at Deli . And lack of boys head cold cuts

The website says the store is open until 11pm but I went there they said they closed at 10pm. The manager was aware the website was incorrect, then fix it! Instead of having people show up and youre closing an hour early. Basic customer service to post the correct hours.

Good grocery store except the creepy robot that follows you around. The deli always shuts down early 8:40 -8:45 and refuse to serve you even though they are opened till 9:00pm I hate!! That.

This is my go to Stop & Shop it is easy to get to And is never overly busy that you are waiting in line forever I like that they offer self check out however at the stations are there are scales that way each item so if you put an item in and it doesnt way with the computer thinks its gonna way you cant continue until customer service comes over it also is very sensitive when it comes to placing your ID when the bag I found that other Stop & Shops with self check out with the regular conveyor belt is a little bit easier less frustrating but all in all I do have a Stop & Shop card now because of the

Can get everything I need in one stop, which is very important. I hate to have to go to multiple stores to shop. Especially appreciate large selection of pre-sliced coldcuts, Atkins meals & refrigerated Fresh Pet products.

Usually find everything I need and sale prices are good.But holy cow the lady at the deli is slow as anything and rude!

This a older store with a very small bakery and few choices. The produce selection on this Sunday was awful, no blueberries and strawberries you wouldn’t feed to wild animals. There is no meat counter like the newer stores. But a good selection. I wouldn’t go back, since I live and Medford and tried to combine my errands.

This place was busy considering there is a Market Basket right next door. They were busy because it was Christmas week but they were very fast and really friendly, I like when I go in to buy something and the cashier is pleasant. The best part about stop and shop in my opinion is there produce is always fresh.

Only 1 entrance/exit open. Seriously, in a big store like this and with covid restrictions easing up? Other stores have both sets of doors open. For a big store, they dont really have a great selection of goods.

Very well stocked. Asiles easy to shop. Follow the arrows! But...busy shopping day and long line to get to register. So congested in that space...not 6 apart!

Left entrance to store is closed. COVID or not, there are no signs, nothing. That would be a common courtesy to put a sign up.

What a sad store in a long line of sad stores. Overpriced, angry helpers and didnt have 2 things I was looking for. The manager didnt really care. Ill always go to Market Basket from now on.

This Stop & Shop location looks like it would have everything in it that anyone would need and want in a Super Market, and then some! Im staying in a near by Hotel, wanted to purchase some snacks to eat while watching TV, found everything I wanted!

Honest too goodness and I know this is not me, every single time I come into this store every single employee I encounter has an additude and I can not stress this enough, from the deli, to self check out, a quick store run or even a shopping at some point in this place is always made more stressful then need be and I do not know why.

Stop & shop has really let me down since the employee protest; they have been jacking the prices up since, bought a robot for way too much money just to notify them up piece of dust on the floor. (Shout out to Marty, my kid loves you) they only ever have two isles open with an actual cashier. The rest are self scan... Blah. since come in they have literally had nothing in stock meanwhile when market basket had fully stocked their paper towels and toilet paper that took a few more months until s an s did. Meanwhile they put out a useless commercial about how supportive they were to their customers during this tough time I wont go here anymore.

Very convenient place to shop . . Ample parking, well stocked produce and meat shelves . . Reasonably fast store so fruits and veggies are always very fresh . . . Staff is extremely courteous and helpful . . . . . during recent visits I saw some excellent service at the front registers with Jake, Austin and others stretching themselves to give off their best

Great service compared to the zoo next door, commonly known as market basket.

The store although clean but the shelves and products need blocking the correct way I also have a problem with pricing yes there are some really good bargains over all I find their prices still a little to high for me Im on a seriously tight budget being disabled and getting paid once a month makes it difficult to do most of my shopping with them

Workers in deli are too slow.If you want to speed up time and save yourself $$. Go next door to market basket

I purchased T-Mobile gift card from this store. T-Mobile refused to give the credit for the gift card. The Stop & Shop store manager refused to exchange the gift card, now Im the customer in the middle with a $120 loss.UPDATE 3/22:As suggested by the Owner, I called the customer service and was essentially told sorry we cannot help you.So I am still stuck with a $120 loss.

Great supermarket to have in a smallish spot like Reading MA.Good range of products and brands as well as home brands. Freshly made guacamole is delicious. Only criticism is no local home delivery.

Awesome values. Not quite as inexpensive as Market Basket but if you get a rewards cards you can get some pretty good deals which is awesome if you cant deal with the crowds at Market Basket. Pretty good prepared foods except for the fried chicken which is more fried breading than chicken. A great bakery too.

Shop there because its convenient, will not shop at market basket because its a loony bin. Prices maybe higher but I enjoy the experience there. Shaws is also a favorite but distance makes a difference.

The location is great, right by route 128. The quality of the produce could be better and considering that Market Basket is right next door, you would think the pricing would be more competitive. Its not really. The service is by far what gives it a 3 star rating from me. If you are a frugal shopper then watch the weekly sale paper and cherry pick like I do. This location is well maintained and clean and plenty of parking.

Basic run-of-the-mill Stop & Shop. They have a lot of self check-out spots. Also, Reading has voted to ban plastic bags or something like that, so you wont be able to get standard grocery bags when you come here.They have preferentially placed Pepsi products at the front of the store and hid Coke products pretty far back on the soda aisle. Thats a star demerit right there...

Stop & Shop is the best place for a wide selection of foods and beverages. Its constantly changing the layout of the store which can be extremely aggravating. For me personally being in a wheelchair its awfully hard to find what Im looking for because they keep moving things around.

I stopped and I shopped for a few essentials and it was nice. They had a robot wandering around; not sure what that was doing.

I want to thank the bakery for the amazing cake I ordered and picked up for a 16th birthday on Sunday August 5th. It was absolutely beautiful. I was pretty vague with the directions because they always do a great job with cakes but whoever did it obviously took time to create a beautiful cake. And it was delicious as well!!! I will continue to order cakes from you always. I made the mistake to stray one time....came right back to you. Thank you again!

I have no idea why people shop at this store the prices are so high and Market Basket is within walking distance with prices so low. It might be a status thing maybe if youre a snob you like to shop at Stop & Stop. I just ran in because they have a better ice cream selection than Market Basket but I had priced several items that I by every week and they are 2 to $3 dollars more at Stop & Shop than Market Basket. I dont get it. Lower your prices or go out of business.

Produce is the best but overall store prices are outrageous

Generally over priced but some of the meats are great when on sale. Recently since July 4th sales started rolling out I do notice the extremely disgruntled employee behind the seafood counter. Whenever you would ask for lobsters, he would go into the back and cherry pick extremely small sized ones. There was also another customer present trying to ask the man something and he flat out ignored her until she raised her voice. Super unprofessional.

There is a young lady that is working at the store as a so call supervisor on Sunday 17 th @ 8 pm she is very rude .I went to the store to buy some baby foods, i got the exact brand and for some reason the cashier didnt know how to help me because there was some isssues with either the wic card or the brand product that they give me .The cashier called her for help and told her that she needed help because i am using the wic card and she wasnt able to help me.The supervisor was like : Oh wellll do you want to void it or pay for it? She didnt even say let see what is wrong with the brand that i got.She was very rude to me and i think may be because i was using the wic card or because she is a racist.But they have some nice people there too.I hope that i never meet with this lady in the store anymore.Market basket is the best store for people to go in reading MA .I always meet with these kind of racist people at stop and shop in reading MA and Shaws in Wakefield.I am not allergic with any race or color but cancer and any kind of diseases on this earth.Do not fight with human been but fight with cancers and diseases because those things do not care about race and color.Peace

Prices are generally higher than at Market Basket but you can get similar deals with S&S sales and coupons. Definitely better overall than Shaws or Hannaford.

Loved the prices they have on sodas and water

I had a $5 off $40 coupon which I thought was valid starting the 6, but apparently wasnt valid until starting on the 7th. The cashier and front end manager in the purple shirt tried to override it but needed the managers approval, and the manager said no.I shop there consistently and have given that store thousands of dollars. They couldnt do me a solid and honor the coupon. Terrible business practices there. To whoever the store manager is.. youre as unprofessional as it gets, and never will I or my family shop there again. Congrats on saving $5, youll lose thousands in the end.

They have a liquor store inside which is pretty awesome. The only negative is they are still more expensive than market basket.

If you don’t mind high prices and bagging your own groceries than this is the store for you! I spend roughly $350.00 - $400.00 weekly at this store and 3 out of the 4 times a month need to bag the groceries while workers and even managers watch me bag them! The last straw was today, the Monday before Thanksgiving, 4 - 5 registers working and only 1 employee bagging groceries. I am done with this store and will be looking for a new grocery store to shop at! My rating for this store is 0 stars, unfortunately I needed to give it 1 star to post the review.

I only shopped at this store because theyre the only place I could find MOXIE. I used to shop at Stop n Shop years ago, but their prices have gone through the roof. So I shop at Market Basket now. More for my dollar at Market Basket.
