Im a shade tree mechanic and do regular maintenance and repairs to boat engines. I go to Reading Boat Works for parts quite often some summers. Im very impressed with the staff, they are knowledgeable and always willing to help. I suspect they are incredibly busy during the boating season however it does not hinder their efforts to have knowledgeable guys at the front desk ready to assist anyone who comes in the store. Im grateful to have a place like this so close to home, it really is a well run business and I will always recommend these guys to other boaters in Berks county.

Purchased my ATV there but they no longer have ATVs...boats only. They cannot get parts for ATVs as the manufacturer was bought out and pulled the Arctic Cat dealerships from many dealers...sad!

My limited time dealing with Boatworks has been very positive.Their staff is always very nice and helpful and willing to offer advice when they can for DIY persons like myself when I am buying parts.Their parts and labor are pretty competitive from what I have seen and they carry a plethora of items in stock when you are in a pinch.I have no doubts in trusting them working on my boat if I needed and that is a trait not too common these days.

Heres my 2 cents. Ive been in and out of this shop for about 25 years if my memory serves me correctly. Gus and Ben along with their team do the boating industry right. Dont get me wrong. This hobby is expensive, but if youre looking for technical advice or a hard to find part, give them a call. Willie could have hung up the phone on me and said we dont have that, but he went out of his way to help me out. I called a few other shops in the area and didnt get a call back for several days. Specifically the one located a few miles north of Reading Boat Works.Reading Boat Works also sells recreational vehicles like snowmobiles and four-wheelers. Many older boaters know about this hidden gem. However, since the Ski Club went bye bye many many years ago, boaters dont get to learn about places that made boating what it is in our area. They are fair and hard working folks who have built a great business.
