Terrible customer service. I had a confirmed appointment. Confirmed with insurance on a conference call. Then they never show up to do the work. I called the company and was told they cannot get my windshield. And dont how to proceed??? I was never notified. Rude customer service on phone when I called about issue. Dont go here!
A business like this should get zero stars. Stay away from this business if you dont want to waste money or save your existing windows. I went to replace my double glass window and my window was altered badly and glass wasnt even glued to the frame. Whats the point of double glass if the air can travel through the window. The inside of the glass was dirty so cant even clean it from outside. Terrible business and craftsmanship so stay away

Wouldn’t allow posting without at least 1 *...,,😱EXtremely disappointed with the condition of my car there was shards of glass chunks everywhere no one had even attempted to vacuum it up. there was even chunks of glass in the tail light. I tried to give my business to the little guy in my hometown of Reading I will never use Ocean Glass again. I’ll go to the big guy SAFELITE the next time. The new window wasn’t even cleaned. I went back to discuss never even got a call back!
Very bad experience. Ordered patio doors and was not installed properly. Called office doizens of times, Nobody comes to fix it. Stay away from the company!
I had to get my windshield replaced and contacted 3 shops. Joe from Ocean Glass did a great job and did it quickly. Communications with the office were pleasant and easy. I had to pay cash and the price was better than the bigger chains. I recommend this shop.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I had called on 11/23/19 to ask if it would be possible to get a custom glass dining table top before Thanksgiving (11/28/19) if I placed the order that day. The man on the phone reassured me that if I placed that order that day that it would be available by Wednesday (11/27/19) at the latest, and that it could even be available for pickup before then. He said that someone would call me when it was ready to be picked up. Well, 11/27 rolls around and its 2pm and I called to check on the status. I explained to him that we had ordered the glass and was told it would be ready by today. The mans first response was that I shouldve called earlier this morning and he cant do anything for me now becuase the stores are closed. First of all, I was told I was going to be called. He made me feel like it was MY fault that I didnt call. I had no idea they were closing early. Their website said they were open until 4pm. I explained the situation to him and told him that I was frustrated and upset because I shouldnt have been told I would get it by Wednesday if there was a chance I wasnt going to. He then proceeded to say that its been busy and I cant expect to have it done by Weds and every company operates like this. Basically implying thlat its normal business practice to do this. They charged me the day I placed the order but didnt have it ready for when it was promised. I told him I felt like they lied to me just to get the sale. He then said that I was I twisting words from his mouth -No, sir. Im telling you how I feel. He was not sympathetic at all. He kept making unnecessary remarks like, Im not going to drive down there and check for you. I told him he really needed to work on his customer service. I asked for upper management and he told me a woman named Sarah would call me Monday. When I asked what time frame I should expect the call (because I work and I want to be able to be prepared to answer), he responded, Hold on, let me take my crystal ball out and look that up for you. I told him that his sarcasm was very unnecessary and asked for his name to which he replied Billy. I asked for his last name and he replied Jones. And quite honestly, I dont even know if he was giving me his real name at the point just because of all his sarcastic remarks earlier so I asked if that really was his name and he said, Ive had enough of you lady. Im done here. and hung up on me. I WISH I read the reviews before I even thought of giving them my business. My husband called after and told them to cancel the order. We called our credit card company and told them to cancel the payment. Im still in disbelief at how rudely I was treated. Based on other reviews it seems like management isnt that great either. Judging from my experience today, I dont expect a call Monday. Take your business somewhere else. I dont know how this company is still even running.
I have dealt with a handful of different glass companies and every single one was overpriced and a waste of time. Finally a friend recommended that I call Ocean Glass for an estimate. It only took a couple days for them to come out and quote me on my double-sided window and door but I was immediately impressed with their punctuality and pricing. I couldnt believe the price compared to the rest, it was almost too good to be true but I decided to take the offer and scheduled an appointment. They were at my house when they said they would be and finished the job quicker than I thought possible. I have to say, I am truly impressed by these guys for their hard work. They did a magnificent job!All in all, they were friendly, timely, organized, and cheap, yet they used quality.I am very thankful to have heard of this company!
NEVER EVER DO BUSINESS WITH. After two weeks of calling them during business hours and being told theyd call me back on their time to schedule (Im not sure why out of the 5 times I called no one was available to schedule me when I called and always required a call back) I reached someone at 4:17 on a Tuesday who told me it was after hours even though their hours are listed until 5 and then proceeded to interrogate me about my schedule and lifestyle such that I couldnt take a call back like any other working American. Then browbeat me about how theyve been in business for x years and MAYBE theyre wrong MAYBE theyll go under but this has never happened. When literally all I didnt even say anything combative he just started with patronizing questions and yelling. I was asking was for him to schedule me or schedule yet another call back that I would then prioritize above work and sleep to answer. I have never spoken to anyone as rude or lacking of customer service skills. I actually do need a window placed fairly urgently but this man successfully argued himself out of a customer.
I have never in my life been treated so poorly by a company in my life. I called to have my windsheild replaced and the problem started with the mess of a guy that eventually showed up 4.5 hours late. After having my windsheild replaced the total disgrace of a human could not have been more rude when I asked him how long should I wait to drive my car? There is not one nice thing I can say about this animal. After he left I noticed a gap in between the new windsheild and molding. After watching this animal pry off the windsheild with a crow bar ( cant make it up ) I turned my eye to the extensive paint damage all around the windshield. Apparently he used my hood to rest his tools. I called and spoke to 3 people to explain my problem. Tori, Sean and Sarah each one worse than the previous. Instead of hearing my complaint they belittled me and told me how wonderful they were. The entire convesation with all 3 people never got anywhere. I was eventually told that the insurance already paid them so and I quote I dont care about you or your business we already got paid. We really dont care about the damage take us to court and see how that works out for you.Little did they know my insurance company did not pay them. So the payment was stopped and now there is an investigation into the matter. Luckily I took photos before the animal showed up and after he left. With the amount of glass companies out there I suggest never using this company. Please do yourself a favor and just call someone else. It isnt worth it to find out the hard way.
Absolutely dreadful business - insisted on a credit card payment to come out and look at a broken window - with a wait of two weeks because they were busy. When I called back 15 minutes later to cancel (I found several other glass companies could come out sooner, and they didnt ask for upfront estimate payments on my credit card), I found out they had already charged my credit card $50. I asked them to refund my card - and they charged me ANOTHER $50 instead. I kept calling for a refund of my $100, and got nowhere. Had to call my credit card company to help me out. I should have known not to give my credit card number to the misogynistic guy I was speaking to (he told me the quote I was emailed by his own company was no good because a woman gave it to me and women dont know what they are talking about - they dont know how to cut glass).
Stay far away from ocean glass the same owner owned reading, lowell and billerica, I was a long time customer until M.L.K.Day when I got the rudeness jerk, I was a long time customer and some employees were nice but I was told it may be the owner of the chain that answer the phone after a prior call I made Friday before, this voice I did not recognize so either it was someone new or it was the owner as I was told later, if it wasnt the owner this person should be fired and if it was the owner as I suspected and told most likely was he doesnt deserve a penny from anyone. I hope this chain goes out of business
