Stopped at this place for the first time today later in the afternoon to see if they had a Honda REBEL 1100 for sale. The place is pretty cool with lots of old bikes hanging around. Didnt find what I was looking for, but staff seemed friendly, especially the young lady at the front desk. Has a great personality and is easy to talk to, pretty too. Asked me if I needed any help. I told her I was just looking around, I didnt feel like dealing with any sales people today. I did see some other stuff I might be interested in, so will probably stop by again.
Heard so much about this place and finally got to visit. Wow! Beautiful shop and loaded with cycles, can ams, side bys and more. Super staff and great prices. I ended up purchasing a polaris ranger 570. Ryan Amos was our sales person and was extremely helpful in our choice. Glad we went there. Lorenzo approved!
Neat store. Has an awesome collection of 60s and 70s bikes on display. Brings back lots of memories of when I first started riding. Also has a pretty good variety of bikes for sale. The parts and apparel department seemed well stocked.
Looks like a nice place. After 5 minutes no one approached me. Thats okay though because they didnt have any full dress HDs.
Highly reccommnd this shop very professional great communication from sales rep Ryan Service rep Mike both went way over expectations to ensure my husband understood every aspect of Jet Ski we could not be more happier with the service we received..My husband loves his brand new Sea Doo ski. We will definitely be back again
Poor Customer Service, yes they have parts, but unless your physically at their service counter will you get the parts if they have them. Dont think you can call and get Service. I had my scooter there, I received poor service on my scooter. I will never go there again. They accept no responsibility for their actions nor do they care. I think they have too many people in and out of their service shop that work on their own stuff. I give them a big thumbs down.
Ryan was so easy to work with in getting my new side by side. Great staff to deal with!!
The mechanics will tell you something cost $500 and then charge you like $900 for it, just make sure you read your paper before you sign because they not responsible for nothing you might as well just leave it to a stranger he will be the same thing.
Nice store, GREAT Staff. Took the time to go over everything I had questions about and very friendly..
I have been visiting since Sept. And every single time I go Im welcomed and well assisted. Everyone in here is friendly and helpful. I bought a jet ski and their service is very very good.
Ryan was able to get me the side by side I was looking for during these crazy times. They helped me out and kept me informed from purchase to delivery.
Great customer service and great selection of items.
I purchased a motorcycle, they inspected it with warped rotors, even tho I told them the front end bounced when you apply the front brakes, I really loved it, thats why I went ahead with the purchase, I dont recommend going there!!!
I was in the market for atvs. Finally my wife said, go to the dealer and buy whatever you want... I was going to buy 2. Walked in and after 5 minutes was approached by a salesman. After 2 minutes he was told he had a phone call and told me he would be right back. So I went to the parts counter because I was waiting on parts I ordered(it had been 3 weeks and I never recieved a call from them). I was informed by the parts guy that my parts are backordered and they dont know when I would be getting them.(already went to another shop and got the parts) I took the store credit and bought some grips. I went back out to see the sales guy and stood there waiting for 10 minutes and no one even asked me if I needed help and the sales guy who told me he would be right back, didnt even come out of his cubicle. I walked out pretty annoyed. So I went to another dealer that weekend and bought 3 used quads. $15000 we spent.
Went there looking for a bike. Nobody approached me and offered their help. Checked out a few bikes, and was disappointed in the quality. Sat on a used harley on the show room floor and the front forks instantly collapsed. Cant believe theyd put a broken bike in the show room.
Awesome place to visit. Nice frienly staff. Wayyy cool old bikes to look at.
I went here to buy my son a dirt bike. They had the one we wanted on the floor, but we were told they had to prep it and they did not have enough time so I told Collin we would call since they were closing soon.I called Collin and gave a credit card deposit for $200 for an SSR150. This was on Wednesday, March 24. I was told they were busy so it would not be ready until Monday, March 29. I said ok and ordered. I then texted and called Collin early Wednesday to see what was going on amd got no response. Now Thursday I called the dealership to see what was going on. Now Collin tells me it will not be ready til Saturday or Monday. I told him this was not acceptable since it is a week later than I was told and my son and I had plans to go away riding for Easter weekend. I told them I was not happy that it was not done on time and that no one even had the courtesy to return my calls or to call me and tell me they were behind.I then told them that I wanted to cancel and go somewhere else. Next he tells me the deposit is non refundable even though it was there error. I asked to speak to the ownerNext Collin comes back on and tells me I need to come in person and they will give me a refund check. I told them I did not want to waste an hour and a half more of my time to just simply get my money back. They refused to simply refund the credit card I used or mail a check. This is absolutely horrible service and their lack of trying to resolve the issue or the owner even talking to me to try to resolve makes it even worse. This place clearly does not care about customer service. I called DTM Motorsports and no issues at all.
Waste of time I was told that thay had a waverunner that I wanted and I drove 115 mins each way to find out it was never there smh never again
Extremely helpful when purchasing my helmet ....gave me all my options and helped me pick the right one for me! THANK YOU!
Nice staff and always very informative about products
Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever dealt with. I heard good things if you were spending top dollar but if you plan to buy an SSR or a cheaper bike Do not go here. The sales department consist of the same two gentlemen Daily who absolutely hate third job I believe. Unless they are selling you a high ticket item where their commission is greater.
Went in with a stater 2 parts reps didnt even know what the part was let alone trying to help and find the exact part for me just flat out said they did not Have it
Only because a zero star is not available! Would never recommend anything at this dealership. My family has been buying ATVs from this dealership since they where rays. Went to make a purchase yesterday on a ATV that I was supposed to have a deposit on from what the sales man said. 10 mins before I was supposed to show up get a phone call from the sales man telling me the bike was sold! They made up some excuses that a sales man dropped the ball and basically tried to talk there way out of someone not doing there job correctly. Staff is completely rude and has no understanding of customer service at all nor how to talk to people. Should have listened to others who have said that this dealership is not what it used to be.
Nice place the people there was very helpful
Super friendly staff. Considering the times of this coronavirus, the employees were very friendly and relaxed. Ive been in some establishments where the employees were really uptight. They were very friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to provide service.
Hit or miss. I get parts and maintenance items here. I called last week for a carburetor rebuild kit for an 01 xt225 and a float. Left a message because no one picked up during business hours, busy, I get it. Left name and phone number. Year, make, and model, no call.
Terrible Customer service I asked for the name of a part I needed and Pam in parts department didn’t want to tell me because she was worried about me finding the part some where else for cheap little did she know I had 5 figures in cash ready to buy a bike while I was there next time y’all see a black man don’t assume he’s broke wouldn’t recommend any minorities or anyone with common sense to buy from them.
I got a preapproval for a slingshot through my bank I asked When can I get it and no call back at all not good for business I would not recommend anyone to go there for a slingshot they don’t call back right away
Worst customer service I have experienced had to wait on salesman for 40 minutes because he wanted to eat his lunch. Then sales person took a customer in front of me. Came back another day and sales person took a call and talked to a friend while he ignored me. Unfortunately as an idiot i waited when I should of walked out but I made a purchase just cause of the owners father pride and respect. It went down hill from the workers damaging my purchase ( they told me you should of looked at it before you signed the paper) and when I had a issue with the product days after they basically told me your fault your problem.Spoke to owner several times about each incident and he just blows everything off and blames the customer. My family and I dealt with the current owners father and he was awesome. Father would be ashamed of what his son has become and did to the business it’s very sad and disappointing what money does to people. Customer service is last thing they care about it’s only about the almighty dollar. The dignity and morals the business ran on for years is gone. They have lost my whole family and friends business. Also went to another Polaris dealer and they covered my purchase free of charge and stated they are aware of the owner and have received many of his unhappy customers over the year.Drive the extra hour or two to get a better professional service!!
I had original posted a bad review due to a bunch of miscommunication and lack of communication. We are picking up the new bike on Thursday from the crate rather then the showroom floor. I am pleased with the outcome but the process was not so easy. Guess I can put that on the new Covid issues and be happy with the outcome.
Terrible and very disrespectful!!!!! My husband went over to purchase a part for his vehicle. The lady comes out from the back without asking how can she be of help. She is ready to hand over a part that didn’t even belong to him. She asked for no ID . She didn’t even ask if the part was his. He informed her that the item she was handing over was not his. She left the item on the counter and waved with her hand for him to leave. Mind you he entered wearing his mask and all and spoke to her politely. I guess it has to do with the fact that he is a LATINO!!!! Shame on you!!!!
Service department is horrible. Called Tom (Service Manager) for a quote on service. He has no desire to help in providing a quote for service. Kept putting me on hold for the parts department who redirected me to him...and around and around we went. After 4 calls back to back trying to get Tom to give me a quote for service, I’m already done with this place and I’ve never even had my ATV serviced here yet. So much for first impressions. On to the next place.
The staff there are really nice and helpful. Prices are fair and they have alot of stock . Met the owner while shopping there and he was very friendly.. I definitely recommend....
They sold me the wrong part at first but then they ordered me the correct part, didnt charge me extra and they got it in 2 days. No other Yamaha shop within 200 miles of me said they could do that. All other shops said the best they could do was 3 days to a week. The owner is very friendly. And they have a wide variety of accessories at reasonable prices.
Nice presentation of whats available, a decent variety of vehicles with a well informed and helpful staff. No pressure no rush salespeople.
Good customer service 👍
Went in looking for a first bike. Sales man seemed uninterested in selling me a bike and focused on other customers looking at more expensive machines. I waited over 2 hours to even hear the bike run. Great selection of used bikes but need better salesmen. Had cash in hand and salesman pretty much kept walking away. Would recommend West Chester Cycle much more pleasant to deal with, ask for Mike.
I just purchased my forst motorcycle through reading motorsports. They were beyond helpful, answered any and ALL question I had, the owner and manager ryan even took the time to give me pointers and suggestions which were EXTREMELY helpful. Everyone from the sales team, to the woman who took the time to go through every helmet until i found one that was just right for me, to the mechanics are all so so kind and so helpful. I HIGHLY recommend getting your vehicles from them. Toys are expensive and you will not find a place that cares more about finding you exactly what you want and your safety then they do. I cannot begin to thank them ALL enough, it truly is a well oiled team there!
Went there looking for a dirt bike for my son . Found one we were interested in and reached out to the finance company. While working with the fiance company they sold the bike out from under us. Didnt call us to tell us . Instead the finance company called to get info on the bike to finalize everything and they were like oh we sold the bike. Thanks for the inquiry ding on my credit and for disappointing my son !!!UPDATE !!!After some unfortunate miscommunication, Mike reached out to me to inform me that they had another bike same model that they would like to sell me. So we will be getting the bike after all . I apologize for the misunderstanding and I am glad you reached out to me . I hope the bike treats my son well and we can continue to work with your company for service. See you Thursday afternoon
Great place for your recreational vehicle or motorcycle needs.
The absolute worst to work with i highly advise to not even think about trying to buy there
I brought a rear wheel with a new tire for a tire replacement. I paid $65 for that service. Mind it I took the wheel off the motorcycle myself and brought the wheel here. If you ask me that’s a total rip off. I will never come back here again. Learn from my experience and find a place that doesn’t survive by ripping off hard working people.
Very pleased after several visits to their service department. My vehicle was fixed right the first time, on time, and the Technician spent a few minutes reviewing the work with me. I observed an employee wiping down a vehicle that had water marks on it before returning it to the customer, displaying the care they take to ensure customer satisfaction. Thanks for a job well done.
I take my bike here for everything. The staff is great and extremely knowledgeable! Very reasonable pricing and the work gets done fast. I would definitely recommend them to everyone with a motorcycle or power sport vehicle! I would give them a 10 star rating if there was one
I took my 2013 Raider to Rays for its first service. The service area was neat and clean even in the midst of a major remodel to the rest of the building. Tom (service manager) put me on their schedule for 10:00. Even though I was 45 minutes late, Tom promptly started work on my bike the minute I arrived and had it ready for pickup when I returned two hours later. Everyone that works at Rays is courteous, friendly and sincerely interested in providing great service.
Great service from great people. Tom has always been very easy to talk to and never made me feel inferior for asking novice questions. The entire staff was very friendly and eager to answer any questions that I had.
I took my Polaris Slingshot there for it to be serviced since manufacture stated it was a recall. I left with more issues than I had prior to taking it in there. Dash light began flashing with all types of service issues. As other customers have stated on here. These folks are CLOWNS. The service manager will RIP YOU OFF. He billed Polaris for work done on Slingshot. However, he did nothing but bill for work never completed. I had to take my Slingshot to another Dealership to have the things fixed that were messed up. Total waste of my time. I wish I had read the reviews prior to going into this place.
I love seeing all the old bikes they have hanging on their walls. There must be at 20 - 30 of them. Great staff too.
Happy with purchase of 2000 triumph Mike fair and honest with deal bike ran like a alley cat on ride home 1 HR 50 min drive your salesman Ryan needs a attitude adjustment deal was sealed got their a little late hes trying to sell bike to some customer the guy was sitting on it talking price when I got their what a joke mech in back of shop office personal where decent thanks Mike not know young kid
My new favorite bike shop. I live 5 mins from martin moto but the atmosphere has changed a lot over the past two years at Martins. Heard about reading standard from a friend and he said go check this place out. Glad I did, its like a mini bike museum from the 70/80s . I ended up buying two bikes and the service was fantastic. They took the extra time to cover all the bike details on pick up day. I am also impressed with the huge parts department. This is something most dealers lack. This will be my go to place for sure. Great people!.
The oldest family owned Yamaha dealership in the U.S. ( I believe I have that fact right) Experience their customer service, quality of workmanship and attention to detail and it is the care for its patrons that can only come from a family owned business. Knowledgable staff and mechanics will steer you the right way concerning new and used bike and atv purchases, maintaining your ride safely and suggesting the bees knees in riding gear and safety apparel. Top notch motorbike enthusiasts and as a bonus for the eyes a collection of examples of Yamahas as well as other motorcycles hang throughout the showroom. Kudos to Reading Standard Motorsports a true gem in the motorcycle industry today.
Interesting
Service department is spot on but the sales department can use a major attitude adjustment. Walked in numerous times over the past few weeks attempting to test ride a bike I was interested in. The first sales associate made me feel like I wasnt good enough to even be in the store let alone test ride a bike. The second sales associate wouldnt even give me the time of day. All the third guy would tell me was that the bike was not ready for a ride then walked away. Id get minor work from them but that is all.
I have purchased a UTV and two 4 wheelers (UTV for me and the wife, 4 wheelers for the kids) over the years and have had a great experience. I dealt with Mike on at least 2 of those occasions, super knowledgeable and very helpful. Would not consider going anywhere else.
Great place,
Bought a new ATV at Reading Standard Motorsports and was very pleased with the transaction. Very easy to do business there and received a good deal. Thanks you to Sales Manager Ryan Amos - a good guy!
Excellent service department! Same day service on my Victory while I waited and they did everything I had asked. No shortcuts and my bike was returned to me just as clean as it went in! I love the recent expansion. Its great to know that this dealer is committed for the long haul!
Fast, professional service. Amiable staff. I brought my 2003 Victory Cruiser for a left front fork seal. There was a small mix up over the parts, but they resolved it quickly.
Good customer service from Ryan. Thanks again!
I live in NJ over 2 hours from Reading. However, I was attracted to their reviews when looking for a new dealer to service my Yamaha boat. I need a repair and they were not only willing to try and work on it quickly, they did a great job, were fast, pleasant, and the price was great. You really cant ask for better (unless, in my case, they were a lot closer). Thank You Reading Standard Motorsports!
Our family feels completely ripped off and taken advantage of by this company. DO NOT TAKE YOU WAVERUNNER HERE!!This company will NOT stand by their shop work. We had a motor rebuilt and when it blew up again after break in they refused to take responsibility, and at least find out what caused the problem.BAD WORK, CONDESCENDING STAFF, NO ACCOUNTABILITY.The owner flat out said, sue me, what I told him how I felt about the service we received.
Do not work with u at all 👎
Posting for my father, Larry Kain - Just had maintenance done on his bike and said the people who work here are incredibly knowledgeable, polite and easy to work with. The place is beautifully renovated and is a great environment for service, purchasing or anything in-between.
I had both my motorcycles inspected at RSM recently and had a great experience both times. The service provided was professional and quick, They have the best deal in town for state inspection. Thank you.
They came and picked up my Honda for service. Went in in my only day off to speak with them on some things they found. Service department didnt try to rush me out the door, I had some questions and was taken out to the store floor, and every question was answered completely along with the showing and explanation of both competing products. Did not get that attention to detail, at the other dealer I went to. Will be going back for sure when I purchase my mounts and supplies. Great place to do business.
Very nice ATV’s but they are a little over priced.
I hit their site to sign up for a state inspection. Never got a call back from them. I had to call them... Then, I was told Id hear back from them regarding a part I needed in order to pass inspection. That call never happened either. Luckily they had it. They did the work quickly but I do think $280 is a bit steep for a $140 part and a state inspection. I get theres labor but still. Other than said part, nothing else was needed for inspection but I was still charged for shop supplies. I didnt get an oil change or anything else so what supplies were used? There was a separate charge for the valve stem and balancing so that wasnt it. I know it wasnt much but it still rubs me the wrong way when you nickel and dime your patrons. I used to pass this place and head into Boyertown to another shop. This place is half the distance but maybe Ill just eat the mileage next time and take it back to Boyertown.
Customer service is non existent at this dealership. Front sales reps are never around or they never come back to help. The older parts guy with glasses will make you feel like an idiot if you dont know exactly what you need. I have given this place several attempts. Obviously they dont care about the customers or want my money. Ill shop elsewhere.
Cool place to check out bikes, scooters, quads and atvs. Bought my first helmet here.
I was very impressed and pleased with the service that I received when I took my polaris jet ski to them for service. They were the only shop within 200 miles of my home that was willing to even look at my jet ski. (polaris no longer makes water craft, so not many shops are willing to work on them)The service writer told me that they would spend about an hour on diagnosing it and then call me with findings. They did just that, and with my go ahead, they continued to diagnose my issues. The technician working on my jet ski then called to let me know what more he found and asked how Id like to proceed. I told him to find the problem if he could and let me know if they spent more than another hour on it.After just shy of 4 hours, he found my problem and called me to inform me my stator was bad after testing all of the wiring.I cannot stress enough how helpful and professional these guys were. I HIGHLY recommend them for any of your power sports needs.
Got new victory and used triumph from them and have had great sevice. The price was right and unlike many dealers these days very willing to let my sons or I try out a bike. Went there after meeting a couple that had purchased a bike there and were very pleased with them.
I have to give a big thank you to the service guys. My bike broke down 2 weeks before I was to take it on vacation. Other shops could not even look at it for a month. But you came through and saved my vacation! THANK YOU!
If you want excellent overall service, knowledgeable staff in service or sales to deal with then go to Reading Standard Motorsports. Their new renovations reflect their commitment to building for the future. They have added new models of bikes and stock of products for all types of motorcycling needs.Mike Miller will take the time to help you decide what parts best suit your needs, for vintage or any years of bikes.
I took my 02 Suzuki to Rays for the annual inspection. I was greeted at the service desk very politely and even welcomed to Rays. The service was very satisfactory. I will definitely return to Rays for sales, parts and service.
(Review of service visit, not a new bike purchase)Friendly staff, relatively quick service, and all the mechanics I interacted with seemed knowledgeable. But, be prepared to pay for the quality service. I had a set of tires put on, and was charged $170/$240 for a front and rear respectively, while those exact same tires go for $100/$170 online (through RevZilla). My total bill for this change nearly cracked $700, which is a pretty good chunk of dough for a tire change. Id recommend buying your tires elsewhere and bringing them here to be put on, if they allow it. Aside from the prices, the shop is an A+ in my book. They were very on top of things. As an aside, I also nearly bought a cheap low-end motorcycle cover there after seeing they sold it for $5 less than Amazon (!). So their accessories may not all be as pricey as the tires.Either way, everyones friendly here, and theres a lot of super cool vintage bikes on the walls and some pretty nice new/used ones on the floor. If youve got some time, Id definitely recommend stopping in.
I bought stuff from here and return it the next day because it didn’t fit the person I got it for. They kept $10 which I believe is crazy. I will never go back here for anything.
Horrible, would never recommend. Dropped off my ATV for a very basic estimate for my front and rear brakes. I was never given an ECD. I called back numerous times and whenever I would speak to anyone they would advise that they do not know when it will be completed. After a week I called back and they advised that it would not be done until the week after but still did not have a date. My fiancé went there to pick up my quad, he just said he was picking up an ATV with my name. They didn’t call me and ask if he could pick up the ATV. They released it to him no questions asked. Point being that anyone can go over there provide them with a first name and they will give you anyone’s ATV. Horrible customer service and dangerous business model to release a machine to anyone but the owner. DO NOT GO HERE!
The service department manager will rip u off !!!if you dont know whats really wrong with your machine ..I got charged for parts that there was nothing wrong with!He of course didnt save the replaced parts ! Wonder why ! Right! So GrossBad businessDont go for service... pleaseThere are plenty of other places to goThey are NOT TRUST WORHTYYou will find out the hard way
Sales department, parts and accessories, and especially service department are all first rate. I cant imagine a better experience with a power sports dealer.
Took my skis here for service. Pricey, but they are probably more reasonable than other places. Service was good.
Horrible experience with these guys, price was great but terrible otherwise, ski was brand new has bunch of scratches on the hull, communication was terrible wont come back ever
My original post of this terrible place some how was deleted, they tried to sell me a different unit after I agreed on the model they tried to give me a different unit. Make sure you read all of your paperwork and know exactly what you’re buying. Look at your vin and model number.Joe
Very nice selection of products and the have half dedicated motors and the other half is a full selection of gear. Nice diversity.
This place is amazing! Plus they where the only place in PA that carried a older motorcycle part I needed.
Ok this is what happened last August I took my hayabusa motorcycle there to change tire I have 360 wide tire kit on my bike it cost me $289 for three hours then I want back because they did not instilled chains properly after one week now summer comes tire will not hold air so I have to put more air in tire every two days I go back today and talk to guy works there that this is what problem is he is taling me that only thing they did is instilled tire now any more work they do they have to charge me this place is ripped me off for $300 hundred and on top of that he is taling me that I will have that problem on my 360 wide tire it would not hold the air after they took money from me I just every one to know that if you do take your motorcycle that I will not recommend but if you do make sure that you don’t drop of your motorcycle because they like to add up hours so they can charge you crazy $$$$ what ripoff place this is I am putting this review because I got ripped off I don’t want any one to get ripped of 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻
Great dealer no people that bought bikes 3 bikes in the last 4 years did very well would recommend to most of my friends
Bought a Yamaha Smax from them last week. Fantastic sales and service. The staff was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable.
Very nice people to deal with.
Absolute beautiful place and its truly a museum. Well worth a day trip just to visit the facility. Its the Cabelas version of motorcycles in regards to display bikes. The owner doesnt treat this place as a business, but as a personal passion of motorcycles. Their pricing is attractive, but theres always penny-pinches out there. Id rather support a local business man versus the online gamma of people who dont care to know you. However, this is a rare true American who holds service as a value. I met Michael, who Im 99% sure is the Owner and even has a slight Dutch accent. Ask him to say the word Battery to you, I swear he says Batry.
Went to get a new clutch for my bike. The parts guy sold me a clutch and told me it would work.Got home to find out the clutch would not work.i went back to the shop the next day and they didn’t want to give me my money back.ill never use that shop again use cycle max in honey Brooke great people and parts guys know there stuff.
Great staff and customer service. I was looking for tires for my motorcycle, and they really took the time to review brands and prices with me. Will be a returning customer.
Ryan (sales person) was excellent in helping me through the process of choosing and buying my second Polaris. They are friendly and I definitely recommend them.
Excellent staff,excellent service.
Ryan and his team did an excellent job of making our experience effortless.
Excellent customer service. Parts department very helpful.
