We broke down in our pickup truck with in-bed camper in the middle of SD and were struggling to find a dealership that would take us in immediately. We called Denny Menholt and spoke to Michelle Brown, (service advisor) who assured us they would get us in the next day. After a 130 mile tow to Rapid City, the dealership was wonderful over the course of the next 2 days, figuring out what was wrong with our truck and fixing it so we could continue on home. Michelle was great to work with and highly recommended for her service!

As a woman I pretty much expect to be taken advantage of when it comes to fixing my car but I spent $1,300 on repairs and then they tried to upsell me $600-800 for brake pads and rotors I didnt need. Greedy. I know I didnt need them because my husband replaced them about 90 days before.The work is good, car runs great, and the staff is nice (if price gouging can be considered nice) but expect to overpay and I recommend a second opinion.

Price was great, my contact sales person. Was concise and to the point. A paper work fiasco and rude receptionist and a culture lurking at the front door not very appealing. In the end I got a good product and good price customer service besides my contact was poor at best. I would recommend based o. Price not atmosphere or a warm customer service based experience. I totaled my previous car in an accident, and short term had no plans on purchasing a car. For 2 weeks, I was looking all over the place for a new vehicle. I visited other dealerships, told them what I wanted, and were begging me to do the deal right then and there. It felt like they were all below a quota, and was begging me to do something right then and there. It didnt matter if I was satisfied with the vehicle, they wanted a deal done right there, which I was uncomfortable with. I felt like they were desperate to make quota, and was not treated like a person at all.Then I go to Denny Menholt. I was already overwhelmed by everyone else, so I came in with the mentality that I was going to be bombarded again. It simply was not the case. As a matter of fact, it was the complete opposite. Michael Liberatore saw I was overwhelmed from previous stops, and made sure I wasnt when I left. I told him what I wanted, and what my end goal was, and not only did he give me some options that fit my means, we test drove what eventually became My Car and I immediately knew I had the perfect fit. He thoroughly explained in detail everything, the pricing, the details of the car, features, etc. He didnt pressure me at all to do anything that I didnt want to do, everything was on my time, and was there when I had questions about anything. He treated me like a human being, and not just a quota that a salesman would have to make.We did the deal, Mr. Libratore came in when I picked up my vehicle ON HIS DAY OFF!!! To made sure I was going to leave very happy, which I did.I am glad that things turned out the way they did. I would strongly recommend Denny Menholt to anyone!

I was very concerned about a scraping on the paint on my Chevy truck. The paint dept. employee assured me that he could take care of the problem by buffing it out. He got me in immediately, he buffed it out so good that you cannot see where the problem existed in the first place, and the cost was very reasonable. I am very satisfied.

If I could I would give this place 0 stars. The first person we talked to (michelle) seemed overjoyed to be able to deny us service so then we had to talk with the manager (Shawn). He also told us he couldn’t help (we have a 2021 Chevrolet btw) and he threatened to call the police and yelled at us to leave. All we needed was a quick fix on our gas line, which we resolved elsewhere in 20 min, but he refused to acknowledge the explosion hazard. We will be talking to Chevrolet about this franchise.

The salesman I had was nice but he didnt show me how anything works in the car Im pretty upset with the car as I noticed there was alot more stuff wrong with it they do a good job of covering things up and on the third day of owning the vehicle its making a clunking sound now I definitely over paid for the vehicle n feel I got the bad end of the deal I would definitely make sure you shop around before going here plus the finance department changed numbers on me like three times. All in all I got the bad end of the deal

Due to some family emergencies this past week and a half, I was not able to research tire information for my 2018 Chevy Trax as originally planned. I called Chris Stickler, and like usual, Chris assisted me over the phone ... providing some solid recommendations, suggestions, and guidance. The best part, my son drives the Trax to college in Arizona ... and due to limited time before he departed for school, Chris was still able to secure an appointment for the next day. Awesome customer service! Chris continues to be one of the main reasons why our family keeps coming back to Denny Menholt Chevrolet.Constructively, my son did experience a negative situation. He arrived shortly after 1 p.m. for the appointment, as originally arranged with Chris. However, upon entering the maintenance area ... Chris was not available, so Tim Howard said that he would help my son. Tim indicated that he would pass along the heads-up to Chris, etc. An hour went by, and my son finally approached the desk to check on the status of the Trax. Tim had not yet said anything to Chris ... which was a wasted hour for my son. Sure, my son was kinda upset ... as he had other things to do. But as I told him on the phone, Chris was doing us a favor by scheduling the appointment the very next day ... lets not worry about it. Yet, later in the afternoon, my son overheard a receptionist talking to a customer named Karen ... and evidently Karen was checking with Tim about her vehicle service. It appears that Tim totally forgot about this vehicle (too) and instructed the receptionist to tell Karen that he would call her back in a little bit. In essence, Tim may need some additional training on time commitments and verbal conversations ... as to avoid any future issues.

Offering 4200 on a vehicle, that LOW nada was 5600. Then turning around and listing it for almost $11,000 and refusing to come down on the cost of the other vehicle. Taking advantage of a girl 100% I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS HERE AGAIN. To their response, I REFUSED their offer of $4200 and wouldn’t take less than 5,500 (I was prepared and all trade in NADA printed out already) Extensive repairs=I left my snow tires on, apparently they legally can’t sell with those on but never returned them to me either. Glad they “feel” they didn’t treat me poorly.

I had the worst experience with the Chevrolet Collision Center. Beware of the sloppy job and work they don’t complete but charge you for anyways. I brought my car there to get the damage from a rear end fixed and I got my car back after them having it for 9 days with the old damaged parts still on my car, to notice 3 of the the parts they charged me to fix and for the parts were not installed at all. They also put 4 new deep scratches/nicks on the trunk paint that they put a clear coat on so they knew about the damage but didn’t tell me and left me to notice them. I had to pay for a rental that whole time and I can’t believe things were not done correctly in the first place. I spoke to the manager and he said oh yeah, they forgot to put this on and that on, and we have to order this part and some parts are sitting on my desk. The manager is a nice guy but would never give me a straight answer about anything when I asked what happened why didn’t this get done in the first place. Somebody in that department is slacking and it’s unethical to charge you for parts and labor that wasn’t done at all. Wonder how many other people they have tried to scam? The collision center is unprofessional and I will never use them again.

He definitely cared about meeting your needs and was good at paying attention considering he got me the car I was looking for based on my description of the price and type of vehicle preferred. It’s also good to note that when I was waiting for him to do my paper work I was given free water/coffee alongside snacks which made the experience overall much better. I found the truck I wanted on the Denny Menholt website late one evening and quickly filled out the online credit application. Jeremy, one of your sales specialists, texted me the next day and got everything ready to go for me. He helped me finalize my purchase, told me everything I needed to know about the truck and held my place in line while I went through the purchase process. Chad, in the credit/finance department worked through all of my loan paperwork quickly and thoroughly, making it an extremely easy process. If I could give zero stars, I would. I bought a 15 tahoe and wanted to share my experience and warn others about these crooks. I drove 7 hours one way to buy a vehicle to 3 weeks later find out from my chevy dealer I have over $3,300 in repairs like a new radiator, water pump, back up wiring, sensors, haptic motor and belts that need to be replaced just to name a few of the most expensive fixes. If I hadnt seen the rear defrost was broken off the back window that would have been an additional $700+. For a dealer that checks to make sure that everything works (a comment made by my salesman upon finding out the back window needed to be replaced) thats clearly a lie. Please take my review into account before buying a vehicle from these people. Over $3,300 in repairs in 3 weeks is unacceptable.

I was immediately greeted my Michelle Mitchellwh o took my keys & retrieved my vrhicle & drove it into service area & filled out part of the inspection. It was Thanksgiving, I was on my way out of town and found out I needed a new battery. Made it the 98 miles to the Chevy dealer. My car needs a special battery only found at the dealership. I arrived about 11 and didnt have an appointment for a freaking battery 🙄. I had to wait til 6:30 pm when it was to late to continue my journey. Plus the added cost of testing/diagnostics $500. Not sure what I am going to do when I need another one. No one cared I was in route. If I had a wrench on me I could have replaced the dang battery myself and continued on my way. It ruined the holiday.

My Suburban didnt want to start, but it finally did. I went to 1 of 3 appointments, and it didnt want to start again. I called Menholt Chev. They had 8 appointments left that day but I could leave it overnight. They fixed/repaired the battery and found 3 things that would be due at 100,000 miles - so I had that done at the same time. My truck was done and ready to go by lunch time. Couldnt work better for me. I always use Chev dealers.

Michelle was my service rep and was very courteous and attentive to my needs. I had originally planned on leaving the truck and returning when it was completed. I changed my mind when she informed me the service would only take 45 mins. to 1 hour to complete. Indeed, it was completed in under 1 hour. I feel like Ive spent half my life in your waiting room for an oil change. The oil change process itself is fine, the check in and check out process is over the top long. One has an appointment for a 30 minute oil change that lasts a minimum of one hour and usually more.

Salesman Chuck Wald is exceptional and he is the main reason why we keep going back to Denny Menholt Rapid Chevrolet to purchase our vehicles. He does a great job of finding out what we are wanting in our vehicle and then he shows us what they have on the lot in a fun and relaxing manner. This time the Chevy 2500 HD truck we were interested in was not yet being manufactured, so he ordered one for us with the trim and the options/color we wanted. He kept us up to date on the progress of the build, which did take longer than expected due to the GM workers strike and the COVID-19 pandemic. Once the truck arrived at the dealership Chuck made sure we received a fair deal on our trade and the price of the new truck. Everyone at the dealership was friendly and efficient.
