Went to buy a meat gift package for a family friend. Friendly, a lot of choices, read the brochure and found a $45 package we chose. The package was made up while we waited but it was not as the brochure stated! We showed them where it states 2 Beef Jerky, a Buffalo and 2 cheeses! They said according to the Boss only 1 beef jerky came with it. We tried to argue and my husband wanted to just leave, but I purchased it as we needed the gift and had waited 20 minutes to get it! But we will NEVER go back as they mislead us. Bait and switch! 🤥🤬😡😳 (Got home opened the package to add up the contents which totaled $36 for a $45 gift package, what a rip off)

Try there smoked turkeys or smoked ham. OMG best ever. Pricey but we’ll worth it.

Overpriced for their quality and low selection. The bone-in ribeyes we got did taste good but we choose those over the regular ribeyes because they looked fresher.

Please update your hours! Drove from Lead on way home to another state only to find you closed when it says your open. Missed out on a great $300+order.

Not much to say except AMAZING!!! The quality of meat is second to none. The quality of the butchering us second to none. I drive 175 miles one way to buy dog bones here. The owner gets in rib bones and cut up hip bones when my home town butcher has never been able to. Where this shop falls short is in the fish department. Nothing special, in particular the smoked fish definitely nothing special. That aside this is still an amazing butchershop. FYI bring cash, save your self a card fee.

They have everything! Fresh, frozen, smoked, domestic, wild game, and everything to accompany your favorite selection, like cheeses, condiments and breads. A one stop shop for dinner!

Went into this market on 7/30/2020. The rudest person came in the front of the store while I was trying to place my order with a young lady who was working the front area. I could tell this lady was not having a good day by the attitude I picked up on at first sight. I let that pass and said to myself “ everyone has bad days”.I’m not a butcher therefore I was not sure of what this market would refer to the cut I was in search of. I asked for short pork ribs (bone in). The lady from the back instructed the young lady to get some pork chops from the back to see if that was what I wanted since I obviously did not know what I was talking about ( my Impression of her comments) again I let that pass.I informed the rude lady that I do know what a pork chop is.. the young lady asked if I was perhaps referring to baby back ribs.. I answered yes, if they were pork and not beef.. the rude lady proceeded to toss.. yes practically pounded a package containing baby back ribs... onto the top of the meat container, she was so rude . Enough..I told them to forget about my order.. it most probably would have totaled approximately 150.00 or so. I was ordering more cuts . I told the rude lady that she was being rude and she thank me, like I was complimenting her?... I told her I was a visitor from out of state and my first impression of this company was not very good at this point. She was out of line, rude, and sarcastic .. just xx a few words I can describe her with.. I found another meat company and spent my $$ there.. hope the owner/manager can keep this lady from patron contact in the future.. she will definitely drive away potential customers... it is a shame because I truly was a impressed by the selection they had to offer.And this all happened in front of another customer...

Great quality local meat products! Dont plan to ask many questions as their regular employees are not very friendly. Also call ahead about their operating hours as they change them frequently and never update online listings like Google Maps.

Im new to the area and found this butcher. I was very impressed with how nice it was to shop on the inside. Very helpful and friendly workers. Now for the meat.... So many varieties! Elk, buffalo, pork, beef, lamb, rabbit, frog legs.... just in the first cabinet I saw! Everything you could think of for processed meats. You could also request a certain cut or meat. They had amazing sides as well like stuffed mushrooms and bacon wrapped jalapeno 👌 the prices were very reasonable. You get what you pay for when it comes to meat. I even tried one of the hot sauces and was impressed with that as well. Next time I go back Im going to try out their rubs they had on display as well. Highly recommend this place 🤙

If you are heading to Mount Rushmore, this place is a must go to for restocking. Staff was friendly and helpful. We spent way more money than we had planned, but it was worth it. We had elk jerky, buffalo salami, and locally baked marbled rye. They have chocolate cheddar cheese. 🤫 Steaks, chicken breasts too big for a single meal, buffalo sausage and bacon as well as fresh pork, beef and chicken. A definite yes to return when we come back this way.

Stopped in to replenish our meat supply & what a great place!! Very friendly staff and great service! Bought a great variety of meats, cheeses, brats. Even got buffalo and elk!! Visited with the staff there for a while & found they never closed down with this COVID SCAM!!! Way to go folks! You got our business & it was great talking with you. When we come back we know where we will stop again. We may even Order and have you ship to us back home! Thank you for staying open!!

Went here to get steaks for my in laws 50th wedding anniversary. I bought 3 bone-in ribeyes, a T-bone, and a porterhouse. We paid a premium price. One ribeye was good. The other 4 steaks were tough and not very good. Very disappointing!! I’ve had grocery store steaks that were a lot better!! Brats are good, but stay away from the steaks!! Staff was friendly, just terrible steaks! Very disappointed!!

New to the shop. Lots of nicely marbled beef, pork, and chicken cuts. Also has a lot of flavors of gourmet brats that I cant wait to try. Real nice and friendly staff who assisted me w/any cuts and or questions I had. Pricey, but if the meats are anything like Ive had w/home raised beef, itll be well worth it. I havent tried/cooked the meats yet, but they look good and ready for a hot grill even in the winter.

Cutting Edge Meat Market is a great little place to get select Prime cuts of meat. They try to buy mostly local product.The staff is very knowledgeable about different cuts of meat. If they do not have what you are looking for on the day that youre looking for it they will inform you when the next time they will have it in.They also have little Specialties like seasonings. I like going and using them for special occasions.

I think it is the best meat in town, the chicken breasts are huge and very tasty. The prices are not that much higher, plus but you pay for what you get.

Meat is super good. However, hiring manager is not up to par on her managing skills. Was scheduled an interview at a certain time, sat and waited around for 10 minutes for her to come out and say, oh, I didnt have time to update the website, but the position was filled this morning. So, I had to miss work to drive all the way there and be told that. Must have been real desperate to not follow through on all scheduled interviews before offering the position to somebody. Also, a phone call would have sufficed to be informed about not having my scheduled interview.

Yes, prices at Cutting Edge Meat Market are higher than at grocery stores - but the products are worth saving for! The staff is knowledgeable about various cuts, and will provide tips for seasoning and cooking if you ask. The butcher is obviously creative; they always offer a variety of house-made sausages with various meats and spice combinations. Unlike most commercial brands, the sausages are not saturated with salt and preservatives. To top off the experience, theres always a hot plate skillet with samples of their products. (They will even let you sample the local cheeses if you ask...) Overall, these people know what theyre doing and are passionate about doing it right.

Information about this place is incorrect. They door even says they should be open they are not. So if you are looking for quality meat to grill if you are out of town it is not worth driving here because they are probably closed.

Cutting Edge Meats was definitely worth the drive!!! My hubby and I bought some tri-tips for dinner and tried some chicken samples they made up!!! OMG.....we are on love!!! We will definitely be back!!

We were in Black Hills for the week of 4th of July, found this place online. Bought 20 lb brisket, some buffalo dogs and hands down the greatest beef jerky Ive ever had. The 2yr old, 5, 6,and 9 year old in our group could not eat enough of the brisket. Compared to Phoenix Arizona prices it was cheap!
