Horrible customer service. Tried to get a hitch installed on my car with them. The original appointment date was for November 1st and I showed up on an earlier date (my bad) Their manager gave me his business card and said he would stay in contact with me and update me on when the hitch would arrive. As we got closer to November 1st, I tried reaching out to them and didnt hear from them for a few days until they had called me telling me my new reservation date would be November 15. As November 15th approaches, they tell me my install date has been changed to November 23rd. This was a huge waste of time. If you need a hitch, Id try somewhere else or do it yourself if you can.

Do not rent from u-haul. Horrible experience. We rented a truck this past saturday. The reservation was changed the morning of from our original location to another location farther away which cost me an extra mileage charge. Six hours into our move the truck then broke down causing a huge inconvenience since we were only able to move half of our things. Roadside assistance then took 2 hours to arrive to tow the truck away. We then find out today that the location in rancho Cordova (Pyrites Way) charged us two and a half days rental even though we had it for 6 hours. I tried contacting the Rancho Cordova location and still have had no response. I was overcharged by two days, left without a replacement truck even though property Management needs my things out today, and then was told I would be charged again to send a replacement truck. And throughout all of this all that I am looking for is just a little bit of courtesy and professional customer service by U-Haul yet I have not found that anywhere. Overall U-Haul does have higher rates than competitors such as budget however I went with them due to not having any issues in the past. Do not make the same mistake I did and choose wisely. I will definitely update this message if I finally receive good customer service returned from U-Haul but I wouldnt hold my breath.

Amado Hernandez and the staff there were absolutely superb! Not only were they very knowledgeable, but also professional and number one in customer service! They turned a very sour situation we ran into in Reno into an absolute winner and took care of all the details for us. I would highly recommend this dealership for your moving & truck rental needs! Demaurio and William were extremely professional, engaging and provided the best customer service I have experienced in a while. I had to reschedule several times for my hitch install. This was especially irritating as I was on a very tight schedule. If it didnt happen today my trip would have been ruined. Demaurio matter-of-factly explained situation, was empathetic, and gave me confidence that he and his partner would get it handled, and they did in fantastic fashion prior to my rescheduled install. I learned the delay had nothing to do with U-Haul but their suppliers, which I totally understood after Demaurio on our phone conversation talked me through reality and expectations all the while acknowledging my frustration without any phony fluff. William was there to great me as soon as they opened, in pouring rain, and made me super comfortable in a situation I would normally be on edge. On the rainiest day of the year, these two were a dynamo, they work so well together and completely changed my experience, they had me smiling and laughing as I left. These two are great assets to your business. I will definitely return to this location for all my future U-Haul needs. Thank you gentlemen hope you get the credit you deserve from turning and upset customer into a permanent customer!

Chris has been here long enough (8-years!) to prove himself as a worthy employee. My truck rental experience was outstanding. And, dont be jealous, dudes hair rocks!!

This location always seems to have what my company needs. The staff is always polite and does what they can to expedite customers, even when busy. Nobody is perfect, but this location always manages to take care of us and our rental needs. We have many Uhaul locations to choose from, but this is our #1

Taite is an outstanding employee and serves as a great asset to this location. He runs a tight ship.. we pulled up and he helped four people in a matter of minutes. All of them walking away happy customers. We too, got stellar service and we were in and out timely. He’s super friendly, professional, efficient and over all a great worker. Great customer experience! Zachary was super professional and friendly, even when I forgot my wallet after he had filled my propane tanks and I had to run home to get it. Plus they actually weigh the propane they put in your tanks, not like a place down the street that charges you a full tank charge even if yours is half full. Ill definitely be coming back!

Apparently their policy is to only give customers two days to pick up their deposit refund if they cant get ahold of them, despite the fact that they literally cater to people who are in the middle of moving and thus might be a bit busy to answer a call from an unknown number. It has now been two weeks, and I have not received the check they sent, assuring me that it would arrive a week ago.In addition, when I requested the associate I was dealing with simply not call me sir, and explained that sir and maam is archaic and only serves to make it more likely you will misgender your customers, the other associate seemed to think this was funny.The truck was fine, renting it was fine, but everything around that experience was subpar.

Great location. The general manager Chris and his team are a true credit to U-Haul. Lines may be long but everyone is always multitasking and ready to serve with a smile once its your turn. They define the can and will do customer service attitude.

Whoever the two guys working tonight are, there great. I was in a rush trying to get to my storage in time with a truck full of my stuff from the bay area. The place there broke the trailer getting it onto the back of the uhaul, so It was stuck. They got it off and had me out in 3 minutes even while juggling there other customers. NEED ANYTHING GO HERE.

Reserved a truck the night before. Ordered supplies. Everything was ready despite a very busy day. Nicholas was great and got me quickly checked in and on my way. He also checked me back in and was just as efficient. Great facility, lots of cool supplies and great customer service! A+

I wont lie, they did a great job at a reasonable price installing my hitch. However, someone at their office stole all the quarters from my change holder. In the grand scheme of things, not a big deal. Just enough to tick me off at a toll road (and still theft). Would have been 5 stars if not for the theft.

Made a reservation 5 days in advance. Kept getting calls saying that they had switched the trailer size (to one that wouldnt work) and then told us they didnt have the one I reserved online. Then they said never mind, they had it and then called an hour later saying the trailer was down for maintenance.Never had this bad of an experience at a u-haul, not going to be coming back.

Terrible location. Unfriendly employees. Unlike other locations on this location they require your personal phone number and a friend or family so they can call and check your identity!! More like a harrassment and invasion of privacy. Im not going there again. Theyre rude, inefficient and confused. Nothing like other uhaul places. They waisted my time and ruined my weekend moving plan.

Person called to ask why my return was late, and I explained that I had a breakdown due to negligence on their part (left water on the engine uncapped) and that my late arrival (3am) was why I hadnt returned it yet. The person was extremely rude, and when I kindly offered to call customer service to get it handled, they yelled at me and hung up on me. Completely unacceptable behavior.

They are very busy on the weekends. Make sure you use all the automation they provide. Self check in online and auto return if you return the vehicle after hours, you want to take the verification pictures while your still sitting in the vehicle. The employees are nice and efficient.

Very unprofesional. Made a reservation in advance,and drove all the way from L.A. to Gold River,7 hours drive.to find no trailer i could rent.They reschedule my reservation on the same day I was to pick up the trailer, two hours drive from Gold River.I refused to do that drive.The sales person told me he would try to find me a trailer and he would call me in less than 30 minutes.two hours and no trailer.I had to drive back empty to L.A.I will probably never use uhaul again

Went in for a refil on two propane tanks. I was ignored. I rang the bell (for service) next to the propane tank, and waited, and waited, and waited, and waited. NO SERVICE. Rang the bell again. NO SERVICE. Rang the bell again. NO SERVICE. I guess I wasnt important enough. Horrible experience, and I wanted to give them money. Guess theyre well off and dont need my $$$.

Very professional. They made sure the vehicle was clean, went over inspection very thoroughly and were quick about inspection upon return. Very polite and courteous as well.

The Pyrites U-haul is always on point. Chris keeps this place running smooth at all times. I love renting trucks here.

I have done business here on and off for years. Sure they get busy and at times you wait your turn, so what thats life. Ive always been treated with respect every time. Ive always got what Ive shopped for. Be it trailers, trucks or supplys.

Its a U-Haul. Make sure you sweep up your truck or trailer before you turn it in, fill up the tank too. They will try and nickel and dime you like every other U-Haul. So no surprises here. Im pretty sure the staff is high though.

They got me the moving van that I needed for the day, at a decent price. However, they are a bit understaffed, and the line can be long. The staff are helpful and friendly - they just need more of them.

I have rented trailers and trucks from this facility...always had good equipment and great service. They can get busy, but try to give everyone the best service possible.

Chris the GM super nice guy and did a great job handling a long line. Had supplies, nice facility, associate outside was nice, overall happy with the experience.

Fast check out and check in. Had truck sizes we needed when i called the day before.

This location needs more staffing. I don’t think i’ve ever waited less than 30min for service, but it’s the only uhaul in a 30min drive’s radius.

Called uhaul. they told me all they need is 2 form of ID. went to this location and provided my valid driver license and valid credit card. the guy ask for my number which i already provided on my reservation. they called the number and verified it and keep asking for a business phone number or second number. i dont have 2 numbers all i had was 1 valid number. if you are not white prepare for a lot of assurance or they may cancel your reservation. they canceled my reservation. they will racially profiling you. contacted the uhaul and they said they dont know why they ask for more than whats required . gave me a another number to call, the number was not good number.

Kinda pricy for only an hour, plus your charged by the mile as well. Overall good service and even helped after hours, truck was clean, and no issues besides the price.

GM was the only one working and willing to help.The inside staff didnt greet me when I walked in the door nor did they actually help me. I left when they told me I had to talk with the GM about what would happen if I got stuck in traffic and wasnt back at the perfect hour.I drove away and found out they canceled my reservation before I was gone 10 min.Wont go back, wouldnt recommend.

Meh.These guys are the truck rental police. I rented a pickup for two hours to move some furniture that I bought for my home. I paid about $60 for two hours, and when I got back, I was interrogated about every aspect of the truck. The employee asked me to step back inside the vehicle and start it up. Tf is that about?These guys need a visit from U-Haul HQ to get their act together. Will not be going to this location again.
