Packers and movers were efficient and went out of their way to make my parents move go smoothly. I mention Jamel and Hector since I dealt with them for the paperwork, but all crew were great to work with. Loved watching the team work on the baby grand. It was disassembled and reassembled without a hitch; just need to get it turned up now.

UPDATE:They REFUSED to pay for broken items! Items over twenty years old. Out of print, will never be able to get again. These are losers! Stay the f away!!!So many broken pieces found as we unpacked. We had to ask the movers three separate times to wear masks. They simply don’t care for your safety or your items!!Stay away!!

I was referred to Mother Lode by our real estate agent, as a reputable organization. From the first time I called and talked to Nathan, and we did a virtual walk through of the contents of my entire home, he was so patient and helpful, I knew we had contacted the right organization. Nathan promised to have the written estimate to me within 24 hours, and sure enough, within a few hours I had the written estimate. After that, Nathan contacted me to ensure that I got the estimate, and asked me if I had any questions. I told him that I wanted to accept the estimate, and get the move booked. Nathan told me that somebody from the office would be sending me a docusign contract to execute, and after that we will be set for the move. Everything went smooth and as planned. A couple days before the move the office contacted me to confirm the move date and time, and wanted to assure me that everything was set for move day. Move day came, Mother Lode movers arrived as promised, and went into action. Within 3 hours or so, the house was empty and the truck was on its way. The next morning they were scheduled to move our possessions into our new location and other than a short delay while they fixed a minor problem with the truck, they arrived at our new location and moved everything in without a problem. At the conclusion of the move, we walked the house and the truck to ensure everything had been delivered, and I was presented with an invoice for the exact amount that we agreed to. I’m completely satisfied with Mother Lode Van and Storage and will definitely use them again if I have the need

Absolutely great people and service. Nathan, our rep was very knowledgeable and worked hard to get us our delivery date past a holiday weekend. Our three packers were helpful, very nice and quick. Ive started unpacking the kitchen boxes at our new home and so far all is well. Our moving truck driver, Rafael, and his unloading crew were fantastic! They went non-stop to not only unload quickly on a humid day, but helped set up several furniture items. They were a great team and deserve high praise for excellent service. I also want to commend Brittany, who did a fabulous job coordinating everything!!!

I have been burned by moving companies in the past - low balling me only to hold my stuff hostage and demand more payment - so I treaded carefully when searching for a local company to help me with my move last week. A friend of mine referred me to this company and I immediately had a sense that the company was honest and fair. Les was extremely responsive and came out to my place to give me an estimate for both full packing and moving and moving alone, based on the inventory he took. His quoted prices were fair and I was reassured that the contract stated not to exceed the price he quoted. On the day of the move, I appreciated that both Brittany (who is lovely and answers the phone/makes the schedule) and the movers called to let me know when they were 30 minutes away. Three movers came and were undaunted by the difficult parking situation of my building. They found a solution without involving us in the stress. They were professional, sweet, and funny! I enjoyed having them around on moving day. They got the job done in the allotted time and even handled extra requests, like boxing up our large potted plant and helping us move some heavy boxes that were already at our destination. Motherlode was great from start to finish. From duke coming over to estimate, to Britney helping with scheduling and tracking, to the guys doing to move, all went really smooth! Their customer service and communication was outstanding. Duke followed up right away with an estimate adjustment. Britney followed up right away with scheduling, making sure the team was on track, and continuous progress updates to make sure we were satisfied. We have moved quite often over the last 10 years and motherlode was the best to work with so far!

I used this company for a long distance move. We had packed everything ourselves except our latex bed, which the movers packed. I’ve moved almost annually over the past 10 years and have had my share of moving companies. From the start, the in home estimate was nice because it’s way more accurate than estimating yourself. On moving day the foreman went around and catalogued all the items onto a manifest. Each item was labeled with a numbered sticker. From pickup to drop off it took 16 days (not business), which was fair considering the distance. On delivery everything except one box was accounted for. All of my items arrived intact except for a dented garbage can and chipped bookshelf. There were a few smudges and dirt marks on the items from transport but most wiped clean with a rag. The driver and his assistant were very professional and hardworking. Overall this was a good option for a long distance move and I’m glad things went smoothly for the most part.

Fantastic service! After getting 3 quotes for a cross country move via Angies List and reading the reviews of those movers, I was so terrified of any movers. I reached out to North American for a quote. Duke came out and provided us a quote. It wasnt the cheapest, but I received assurances that the quote was the full total and the wouldnt be additional charges due on delivery. Brittany at Mother Lode communicated with me for every step along the way. She was super helpful in coordinating everything and excellent follow up. Six nice men were sent to help us with a local move. Even though we had a steep driveway, they didn’t mind the challenge. The movers called me in the morning to let me know how far away they were and arrived within that time frame. They were beyond efficient and got my move done 2 hours under the original quoted time which saved me a good amount of money. The movers themselves were super polite and always asked where I wanted the furniture to be placed and which room boxes needed to go in to.

She checked in the day before the move checked that we didn’t need anything extra, followed up during the move and even stopped by the day of.The first day we had five movers, Curtis the man in charge was easy going and willing to be patient with us when we were struggling for an initial plan. He was great with the guys and set the tone for a great productive day with his entire team working hard. His crew, Chad, Aaron, Michael and Ron were all fantastic! Every one of them worked hard and didn’t complain about being tired and were all extremely friendly.On the second day I had James and Chad move a dresser that was in the wrong room and asked them to switch rooms and they did it willingly without making me feel bad.I have moved about 10 times in my life and I have to say using Mother Load was by far the best experience, most professional company I have used. They were not the least expensive but were extremely reasonable and actually it took them little less time then expected so It ended up not taking so long.

This crew. My goodness. They came HIGHLY recommended and I can not sing their praises enough. In August, they came in to our 8k sqft office and immediately busted it out! I was insanely impressed! We have some pretty tricky custom and/or oversized and awkward-shaped pieces - they dismantled and cared for each piece. Mother Lode packed us up and moved us into our almost 3k sqft space, with many items going into storage.Their storage packing is beyond anything Ive ever seen! We used a local storage service and Mother Lode packed our items, utilizing every inch of this storage unit.We had a crew of over (10) helping with the move and each of them was fun, professional, careful and considerate of the items and space. It was a humble honor working with them for the two days it took to move us and I enjoyed every interaction. They all felt like family when we were done.Ive used them twice since then, having them come back to the new space to hang up pictures and large acoustic panels. The guys were very friendly and professional and they worked so hard for us. We moved into a 2 story house with so many rooms upstairs and the guys never complained and got everything upstairs and settled for us. They made sure we were happy with everything before they left and just really did an excellent job. We will definitely use them again when we need to move.

Everything was great from scheduling to quick and friendly service. The only reason for 4 stars rather than five is that movers in delivery day were not wearing a face mask, said they would put one on and didn’t and 1 of my TVs didn’t make the delivery.

Motherlode moved all of my things from our home in Sacramento in 2019 and stored everything for 18 months. They helped coordinate moving my things to CO through a national mover, North American. North American dropped the ball big time and Motherlode offered to move everything on their truck for me despite the busy time and a shortage of drivers. By and large, a huge number of things went wrong. It was one of the most stressful events of my life. However, these were mostly out of the local companys control. Brittany went above and beyond trying to help me when I was at my wits end. She tried to keep in contact with me and help me keep in touch with the driver, dispatch, and the national company.

From beginning to end Mother Lode Van and Storage has been great. They even helped me pack the last of what I didnt finish in time the day before they picked it all up. My condo sold before my new home was ready in South Carolina so they stored it until it was time to transport it across the country. Coordinating delivery dates on cross county moves can be tricky because I wasnt the only customer with a load to drop off or pick up and it is January with weather conditions for the driver to negotiate, but they did their best to accommodate me.

All the staff was very friendly. Great customer service, timely and professional. I would definitely use them again.

This is the second time I have used Mother Lode Moving and like the first time, totally pleased with a stress-free move. Duke the relocation specialist gave a reliable estimate and suggested strategies. The day of the move, Alex and his team were early (shocking, right?). They were EFFICIENT, CAREFUL and well organized. These young men were courteous and HAPPY to be doing our move. Everything arrived in great condition. I just finished opening all of the boxes from my move done by Mother Lode Van & Storage. I am very impressed with the care that these folks took with my belongings and can say nothing is lost or broke during the move. I sold my house in June 2017 and moved into a temporary residence until the construction on my new home was finished in January 2018. Mother Lode loaded most of my things from the house and sent them into their storage for 7 months. A small portion of my things were brought to my temporary residence. When the new house was completed, they brought all of the storage items to the new home and then picked up the balance of the things in my apt to be brought to the new home. So impressed with the care they took with my belongings and the floors of both houses. Their employees were great to work with and I would highly recommend them for any of your moving needs! He covered all the bases and gave me very helpful advise to manage many special items in my home (statues, fountains, and art work). All together, Mother Lode Van & Storage, the driver and staff of the moving van on the day of pickup were very careful and respectful of all my household goods. Not one occurrence was mishandled or treated unkindly. I received my goods 5 days after pickup as promised by the Van Line driver. I hired Mother Load Van & Storage to move my company American Custom Lifts to a new location on April 18, 2015. I had received several bids from other moving companies, but I chose to hire Mother Load. My decision wasnt based on their quote because they werent the lowest, but I hired them because the owner Brian personally came to quote this move and I personally liked him.I asked that we begin the move at 8 am. I arrived at 7:50 am, and as I pulled into the parking lot, here they came. On time! There were four guys, one being the crew leader named Alfredo. Super guy! He cracked the whip in a professional way and it was obvious that his crew respected him, but also liked him. They moved heavy furniture non-stop and they continued until everything was off loaded and put into place. They assisted me with setting up our desks, installing my TV bracket and when all said and done, Alfredo asked if there was anything else I needed them to do.I honestly did not expect this kind of service. I cannot tell you how many times Ive had to relocate my home and office, but never have I hired a crew that showed the kind of care Mother Load showed. I give this credit to the owner Brian for being selective on what kind of people he hires. All the crew was very professional, polite and hard working.Thank you Mother Load. I was moving our four bedroom house from Sacramento to Denver. The men who helped load the truck were very courteous and easy to work with. In fact, I asked the driver if he could arrive earlier on the moving day so that we could get thru the Sierras before any snow arrived, and he was accomodating. However, I didnt feel that items were packed properly in the truck or protected well enough. We had previously moved from Indiana to California with no items broken. This time, however, we had a chair leg broken off a dining room chair, a stand lamp bent and numerous wire items, like a dog kennel and baby gates, twisted out of shape. I was expecting no damage and was disappointed with damage.

I have used Mother Lode twice this year and they made the moves easy from start to move in. Once locally and then this week moving my mom from the bay area to Roseville. They were on time did a pre move walk through and check before and after and put everything where I requested. Everyone at Mother Lode was a pleasure to work with and help me through the whole process. Thank you.
