A&C Supermarket is indeed an Oriental store of super proportions, what with a grocer, Chinese restaurant and bakery coexisting in one vast space. Located just south of central Raleigh, this proper Chinese grocer is replete with an excellent selection of seasonal fruits and vegetables and live seafood—including soft-shelled turtle. Aisles are clean, well-organized, capacious and easily navigable. Service at this Chinese supermarket is surly at worst and aloofly civil at best, which is typical of Chinese-run establishments of this caliber.

Terrible experience. I went to get fish and the worker left the skin on the skate fish (seen in the image) which is very unsafe to eat and they also did a terrible job of cleaning the fish. Then, later on in the day when my siblings went back to the store to get the fish cleaned, the workers did not want to. This is the second time this happened. Do yourself a favor and do not go to this place!

You have to pay much attentions to the seafood counter!! They’ll exchange the fishes that you picked and switch with something else putting into your shopping cart. Especially, when they add another bag of ice that uses to cover the rascality. Change to another place!!

So much of what I saw I dont even know what to DO with! So many exciting possibilities! The prices on everything are very reasonable so experimenting with something new wont break the bank. They have an extensive fish market including a tank with live striped bass. Cant get any fresher than that.

It is a store of Asian Chinese and Japanese food ect with all variety of what you are looking for fresh seafood, fruits, fresh vegetables, basic grains, accessories for the kitchen and restaurants. And if you get hungry there is a small restaurant with Japanese food ready to eat and take away.

Great variety of fish, vegetable, food, ingredients, snacks. They also have a small food court with great meal options and reasonable price.

This place is closest to me and its way easier for us to find what we need here than at hmart. plus its never crowded.

Okay this is my happy place. I go here whenever I am in a bad mood and I need a pick me up haha. I love to cook and explore Chinese/Thai/Korean cuisine but I am an English-only speaker. I cannot express enough how much I appreciate the excellent english labeling at this store. I can never find all the sauces and spices that I need for my recipes at Grand Asia due to a lack of English labeling. I have given up on them entirely.Also A & Cs produce section has better prices than any place I know. They even have an impressive little restaurant supply section with dishes, pots, small wares, storage containers etc. I was delighted to find this place. I love you A&C. Cant wait to see you again 💕 😘

They have a lots of Asian food a lot of selections, buy with caution.Don’t expect to return anything. the manager is very not helpful. I bought bad tofu here, I didn’t eat it had to throw it away. I told the manager about it, but she didn’t even care or apologize. Kinda like ‘oh well too bad’.

Disgusting! Take the extra 10 mins to go to Grand Asia instead!Their shelves and freezer sections are unorganized, having three different sections in different freezers to get dumplings. Most shelves look like they were thrown together by people who didnt know how to set up a store.The worst area is the live / iced seafood section. This area is 100% gross, uncared for, and possibly full of deadly bacteria. There are dead rotting fish in the live tanks all the time, dead seafood and parts all over the floor, tanks that are disgusting and unclean on the inside and outside.Looking at the sale signs on the tanks shows a level of grime, mold and mildew Ive never seen.The floor tiles are broken, dirty, and crusty with grime and ground in seafood parts that is kept wet by loose ice scattered from the tables above.Grand Asia is immaculate compared to this place. It also does about 100 times the business too.

This is one of the biggest Asian food markets Ive seen in this area. I like the layout of the store. They have all kinds of exotic fruits and plants (including dragon fruit, cocktail grapefruit), fresh seafood, bulk rice, plenty of Asian spices, sauces, and international candy/snacks/drinks. It even has an Asian hardware/utensils section. They have a good deal on some popular brands of condiments too (like Walkerswood Jamaican jerk hot sauce). Service was nice and quick. I would definitely go back there again. I only bought one of those microwavable Asian spicy noodle bowls, but Ill be back to order more (they sell them in bulk). And Id like to try the yellow Sriracha sauce.

Its been a while since I went there. Went back today, had a great time. Lots of new things to see. Got everything I needed to make sushi at home.

A solid store for a lot of asian related food and kitchen stuff. Specifically more chinese stuff. Prices are good. Restaurant in there is good. Most food is pretty fresh. They have a lot of kitchen supplies there from woks to utensils.

Very few people. I wanted to buy some Chinese yoghurt but found nothing.

Honest and unpretentious. Their aquariums arent the most attractive and dont be surprised to see boxes (for restock) in the middle of the isles. But thats what I love about this place, they dont hide anything. Ive had more luck finding ingredients I need here compared to other Asian stores. I would also argue that the prices are lower here.

It ruined my whole day after I found a dead bug with so many legs in the congee that I bought from the A and C Supermarket. The worst thing is that I have already drunk half of the congee. Yuck!

We went there for Sweet Rice but also picked up a few other things to try! The bag of lollipops I bought were phenomenal and we also got BBQ seaweed to try, chocolate rocks, burger shaped chocolate cookies and spicy chicken soup!I would definitely recommend it to anyone else who enjoys Asian cuisine!

Great Asian vegetables, fish and spices.

Come all the way from southern Virginia to get my culinary delights here.I love the enormous choices in fresh vegetables and Ive seen organic things in the freezer. I love the many choices and the pricing is not too bad. I get the hot and sour soup to go its so good!!

This store is absolutely amazing, I have yet to find any other store with this selection. There is no other store that Im aware of in the Raleigh area that has live fish that you can pick up for dinner. The store also has an amazing restaurant with fresh roast duck available, they also have a wonderful selection of cookware.

Good food, well maintained

Its a pretty okay sized place with things you may need to use for cooking. The staff who work over at this place are pretty neutral usually they dont be rude to people, they mind their own business unless you need something. Pretty average Asian place, but there is little people most of the days so over crowding is rare.

Great place to buy tofu, seafood, and vegetables.

FGood pricing on fresh veggies. Fruits are mostly seasonal. They have live fish, crab, lobster, and bivalves, and sell a lot of them so they are probably OK. Lots and lots of frozen foods. Duck eggs.!! They also have wide variety of cooking and food prep supplies. Small eat-in /take out hot bar. Cleanliness has improved but they could use a little more attention to detail in this area.

I pickup alot of fresh produce and 90% of the seafood I look for my family is bought here!!!! They also have a huge selection of Asian veggies and ingredients and spices, foods, meats, and fruits. Theres also a restaurant that serves great meals! Ive heard that if your Mandarin is good, theyll cook you a meal from the items you buy in the store...

Before buying I ask the gentleman working there and he said I can return if it’s bad with the reciept. I bought 3 of durians with bad quality of durian and when I called they dont responsible for this. Watch out of this supermarket guys!

Convenient place and decent prices, however, we buy soy milk from them all the time and recently, they are often spoiled. (We bought 4 and 2 were spoiled). Could not get replacement.

This is one of the two main Chinese grocery in Raleigh. It has a good selection of fresh vegetable and tropical fruit. The sea food section is well stock. There are variety of frozen food from Asia. There is also a bakery and restaurant inside. They have roasted duck, Chinese roast pork, and variety of steam buns. You can also get bubble tea and fruit smoothy at the bakery. This is one place to shop for your Chinese and southeast Asian groceries.

Good store for all sorts of Asian especially Chinese cooking ingredients. Vegetables seems to be fresher after them upgrade to freezers. All the way in the far back of the store you can find interesting cooking accessories and ceramic silverware. A lot of people come to eat the lunch box both at lunch and dinner time, and its the same $6ish after tax. You pick three sides and it come with white rice, free tree leave tea is always available. Overall, if a good place. I would give it a five star rating if I see further improvements on cleaning and interior air quality.

Cashier was handling items with gloves that was clearly dirtied, wet, and unsanitary. The live seafood section was also dirty that I am too afraid to buy some shrimp. Grand Asia is a much better alternative

Could use alot of cleaning especially the shrimp and fish side. I dont understand how or why or who thought that is acceptable. Ill still go to buy seafood but I constantly have to stop my urge of wanting to clean the place up while Im shopping. The staff are great help. The Hispanic men that work the back have great customer service. But geeezzz

Great store to find Asian and American groceries! Their collection of fresh seafood is not only amazing, but very reasonably priced. I found many varieties of seafood that is sold at 40 to 50 % lesser than other nearby stores. I wouldnt mind traveling few extra miles to get great freshness with lower price!!

The only Asian market in Garner has live fish, a large variety of very good quality vegetables, a larger variety of canned goods, two isles of rice in sizes from household to large bags, candy, several isles of frozen food, and several isles of cooking gear and household supply. My only complaint is that some sealed foods like tea, smell and taste like raw fish.

Decent Asian market.

We have been loyal customers for over 5 years. We make an hour drive once a month; however, we will not be going back because of the workers. The cashiers are extremely rude. They converse amongst themselves and hardly acknowledge our presence. They scan our items and throw them into boxes, expecting us to close the boxes which is hard to do since they overfill them. Not only do they expect us to pack our groceries, but they also expect us to load them onto our cart ourselves. And when we asked them to help us with the boxes, they pretend to not to know what we are talking about. Even the manager expected us to bag our own items. They have only recently began to do this the last few times we have gone, but in the past they would kindly greet us and happily pack and load our groceries every time.

Anytime I want to buy things that my local grocery store dont have( like goat). I come here. The store is clean. The only thing is.. I didnt have anyone to help me find the curry. I asked the man working there.. but I dont think he understood me. Other then that.. I am a satisfied customer.

This is a great market. It is my favorite Asian market in Raleigh.

They always have the latest in the hot noodle craze. Fresh blue crabs almost alllllll the time. The cookware they sell is even better. I get so excited when I shop here.

We buy fresh tilapia. They cut it and clean it right in front of you. Large variety of seafood. Dont forget to stop by the sweet snacks aisle! The only downside is the overwhelming smell as soon as you walk in.

I went looking for lime leaves which they didnt have but otherwise it is a really good asian market. Good prices with a bustling fish section. Even had fresh crawdads!

Prefer going here over Grand Asia Market because its closer and has less yuppies. All the yuppie asians go to grand asia or H market. The real south side Gs go here.

Very interesting. So much variety. didnt make it through the whole store. Baked goods Yummy. Inside restaurant was very good. Very very inexpensive. Found loads of different spices and herbs. So good!

I love this place! There is such a wide variety of foods, and things Ive never heard of but that sound intriguing. The produce is excellent, always very fresh and the prices are so much better than even Wal-Marts. Red, yellow and orange bell peppers are a favorite. At Wal-Mart, they are $1.67 EACH, here, they are $1.89 A POUND! Just cant beat that for great pricing. They have wonderful fresh seafood and live fish they will clean for you. The fresh meats butcher section is also great. I shop here a lot and will keep returning.

Best prices in the area. Great selection, havent tried the restaurant yet. They sell a decent amount of every day home items, and some food items in restaurant sized bulk.

They will catch and clean them on the spot if you want.There is a huge selection of rice brands and bag sizes including 25# and 50# bags.They have an impressive selection of fresh fruits and vegetables, meats, as well as all the foods, sauces, spices you could ask for (Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Phillipine, Korean, etc.). Not much in the way of Indian / Packistan spices, but I wasnt expecting them anyway.They also have a restaurant for hot meals too. Overall a full featured Asian / Oriental Store

You can find fresh meat and vegetables and fish. They sell a various kinds of fishes and they are fresh. All types of groceries can be bought here easily.

There will be a language barrier with the products, so I encourage you to either research before going or go with the idea of learning as you go! For me, its a great place for cheap produce and Asian treats you wont find at a regular grocery store. The hot food sold at the little restaurant is really tasty and surprisingly affordable!

Not a bad asian mart. Mainly sells Chinese products. If your looking for Korean Hmart is the better one

Food made there tastes great. They serve hot tea on the cold days which is nice. The beef brisket/ stew with noodles is very good. Awesome assortment of groceries, drinks and kitchenware. Also have many Asian skincare brands, including hada labo.
