Ive had Protection 1 for almost 2 years now. I got a system which I installed myself. Everything has worked great. Ive had no false alarms. I really like that I can manage my alarm system with my phone. Its pretty inexpensive, too. I thought their contracts were a bit long to cover the free equipment. Mine is 3 yrs so maybe they changed it recently to 5 yrs based on other reviews...?When I was looking for a company, I called ADT which ended up being Protection1. I was a little skeptical considering some of the reviews online. But honestly, overall, Ive been happy with the service. There are a lot more no contract services, though, so keep that in mind when shopping around.

This company really sucks but the people actually doing the work such as michael Williams are the only ones keeping this company afloat. If your having problems just callthe man that being Michael. The man has been taking care of us for 13+ years. Unfortunately this might be the only one who knows what customer satisfaction means. Hoping someone in management reads this review and compensates him for his diligent work.

I have ASG for my home security system and weve had a great experience with that system. The system is reliable and weve received prompt response anytime there was an alarm event.Now - I also have card access systems on the commercial properties that I manage. That hasnt been as easy to deal with. They cant seem to get the billing right and their commercial service side is severely lacking. We have been a customer of theirs for more than 10 years and have seen a great deal of turnover in their sales/support services.

Their original service contract is excessively long (5 years) for free equipment and their monthly monitoring charges are much higher than their competitors. Read the fine print. On the other hand the equipment has worked ok. The indoor video camera is poor quality.

We were previously with ASG but Protection1 took over and things went downhill. The Customer Service is AWFUL -they do NOT care about the customer. The reps are rude, short and REFUSE to work with long term customers (over 5 years) and as the rep said - we only acquired your contract making me feel like I was less of a customer because I was not originally their client. WOW. Cannot believe they would rather fight and argue over a small amount and create a NEGATIVE Experience (refusing to negotiate). It is funny how they spend thousands of dollars in advertisement to get new customer but refuse negotiate and work with current customers and treating them with respect. BEWARE - DO NOT recommend going with this company.

Tried to speak to someone about by Camera and Kiki told me that she could not transfer me I had to have someone come out for $162. I told her I only had one question and she said Im sorry but we cant. I really dont understand what Im paying for. This is ridiculous!

This is the worse security company in United States. They rippe you off with a 5 year contract, their customer service is horrible, their camaras are real bad, their sensors make your alarm go on and the then the police department will bill you every time there is a false alarm, and you will be stuck with them for 5 years! DO NOT CHOOSE THIS COMPANY!!

Had issue on April 21 on security system for business it is now July 8 and issue still not resolved. Part that was need on April 21 had to be ordered but someone on their side failed to order. As of July 8 this part still not in and system still not fully functional. Very disappointed. Service guys are great but office support terrible.

The worse service, if you cancel the service they will keep charge your card, if you stop your card they will send you collection agent, they will never ever cancel your service
