The store and the atmosphere was amazing. The store worker was so confident, knowledgeable and helpful that I would go back there again. I also strongly recommend this boutique to anyone needing a dress for any occasion. Definitely deserves a five star rating.
The worker was very rude and no one was there to help anyone in the store. She yelled at us for being in the dressing room when no one was there to tell us if we could go in or not and all the doors were open. I also found the exact same dress for $250 cheaper online.
Great experience. Very helpful. We loved the gowns are organized by size and colors. The worker is an expert. She knows style and is considerate to age and events. She was knowledgeable of our schools dress preferences and that was extremely helpful. She also gave us a shawl wrap to help in whatever we decided. Thank you
My niece heard about this store from a few of her friends. Very nice place. The dresses are separated by sizes, styles, and colors. It makes it easy if you already have a color in mind. The fitting area can be a little hectic if its busy. But the gowns are beautiful, service was fast and sales women were very helpful.
My experience was okay. I walked but no one was there to help around. After look for a couple of minutes a man asked us if we had an appointment. We didn’t have one but it was fine because they’re weren’t too busy to get one. It was around 2:20 and they had an appointment for 2:40 but they let you look around until your appointment is ready. They have good selections of dresses in different sizes. Many Sherri Hill dresses and other brands. You can pick 5 dresses to try on, they give you a number and you can go back and try the dresses. One lady is doing all the work in the back, you are not allowed to zip up your own dress which is understandable. The lady is nice, many people were complaining about her taking forever but she’s doing her best while there is 5 other girls in there while waiting too. The prices were kind of expensive but some we’re reasonable compared to other stuff.
I came in to look for a gown and the lady working there was very rude. She just turned and walked away after talking to me for about 15 seconds. Ill get a dress custom made instead.
If I could rate them a zero, I would. I drove 2 hours to looks for prom dresses and as soon as I walked in, no one was there to help me. I had never been here before and all I had seen was what they had online. After me and my friend looked at prom dresses for about 10 minutes, then an older gentlemen walked up and asked if we had an appointment. We didn’t even know we were supposed to schedule one to be able to look. After we found some dresses, we asked to try them on and the process of getting a number was very unorganized and confusing. After getting a number, my friend went in and tried on dresses and the old lady was being extremely rude in general and making negative remarks about her body. After she was done, I went to try some on and the lady, yet again, was very rude and it took FOREVER to actually have her help me zip it up even though I was told to wait. The old lady continued to talk about me and my friend to other workers in a negative way and was being very shaming towards us. The place in general and the workers made us feel very out of place. I will not be going back.
Bridal Boutique by Nidia in Knightdale was able to work miracles on my daughters dress. I bought a dress from Chic Prom in Raleigh and they over charged me for the dress not to mention they are rude. They were supposed to order a new dress in a size 6 and alter it to my daughters size 0 and charged me for that. Chic prom lied about ordering the a size 6 they went in there back room and altered a size 8 but never refunded my rush delivery fee. The alterations for her dress from Chic prom was a mess. If it wasnt for Nidia Bridal Boutique I would have cried bc of the bad experience I had with Chic Prom. Big difference with Nidia, I thank this company for everything they have done to revive and save my daughters dress. Her sweet 16 is on Saturday. I would not ever shop at Chic Prom again.
I thought all the negative reviews were part of a business but when you experience it yourself it is awful to be treated with disrespect even though we had an appointment, they are so rude. No customer service at all. They should be closed down, by ourselves. Don’t buy any clothes from this place.
Ive been there twice. My first experience was worst for sure though. Me and my mom went there to look for a prom dress, even though I found one so already liked in Belk, because of the experience. The dress there are very expensive especially for a single occasion that kinda sucked anyway. We looked and the dress I liked was 800. Way too expensive especially when it had very minimal beading. We looked in the clearance section which was much better priced but clearly segregated from the rest of the store. The dresses there were in plastic bags instead of true plastic garment bags. I tried not to hold it against them but when I found a dress there that I liked and I wanted to try it on they directed me to a separate dressing room in the back next to boxes and pipes that was only a curtain on a rod for me to try on. Thats the clearance dressing room. No mirror no money no service. The second time I went there it was for a friend. She didnt find anything she liked at other stores and said she found this one online. I told her about my experience but she said they had good reviews as well. I said fine. We went and I had a drink from Chick-fil-A that was just ice. The store manger said to put it outside which is fair. But there was no sign. I just waited by the door while my friend looked. The lady came up to me twice to ask me to put my drink outside even though I was not moving or touching the dresses and I was standing on time. Then she asked if I need assistance even though I mentioned that only my friend was looking. Once my friend asked where the clearance was she immediately lost interest in us didnt even offer help. While we were there multiple people walked in and then out after they were either asked to leave their stuff outside the store or because they didnt have a parent to accompany them or because there was no service and the store arrangement was noy clear. If they tried a little harder and were less rude they wouldnt have issue getting customers. If I am going to buy a 800 dollar dress, I want 800 service.
This is the worst place to shop for a dress or even walk into the workers are so rude. I took my dad with me because apparently you can only come in with a parent or you get kicked out?? We ask for a simple dress recommendation and the worker snaps we only do appointment only..So umm why is the door open like we can walk in or something?? Very disappointed.
As soon as we walked in we were greeted by two people and the older gentleman was very rude to us he said we needed an appointment to even try the dresses on. 0/10 prices were high and customer service was bad!
I would let my daughter wear jeans to her senior prom before I support this place. My daughter tried on a dress and a bead was hanging down from a thread. I leaned down to see if I could easily fix it. A very hateful lady named Doloris swatted and my hand as she yelled at me like child saying, no no do not pull. Customer service is TERRIBLE!!!!
I went into this store with friend to help her look for a dress. When we walked in the staff were already making looks based off the clothes we wore and our race. My friend has previously been here with a bad experience but perhaps this time it would be different, but WRONG!!!! One of the staff at the register yelled at us and was being rude when we were about to ask about one of the dresses, I have never experienced such bad service until I went here.
The reviews about the old lady are sooo true. I went in there with my stepdaughter and was looking around. The lady says they dont dresses over a certain size and dont remember what the size number she said was. Now I was looking for 2 different occasions. One was for me because I was going to a gala and a family member was going to her prom so I was also on the lookout for something for her. Now I am plus size so I was instantly embarrassed by her comment. I was prepared not to find something in my size but was looking for my cousins prom as well. They lost out on well over $1000 for her rudeness.
I drove 3 1/2 hours to visit this shop feeling confident that as much stock it contained i would be able to find a dress off the rack. Firstly, the store posted hours were incorrect (even though it is inside a mall)Called number listed which gave another number to call which was the 1st number called.Received a text from 2nd call stating they would open sometime around 12 which was 2 hours later than listed time and mall opening.Still I remained hopeful as I looked in the windows at tremendous amount of dresses.Once open walked in was not greeted by anyone looked around and had to go to the womens desk she then glanced up and asked if I needed help.Explained I needed something from rack, today. She pointed across the room and said these two racks are your size. I looked and looked(very hard to tell what is what as the dresses are in dress bags and packed pretty tight. )A customer comes in and she began helping them, up out of her seat. I made eye contact with her and she asks having any luck? I told her no and thats when I was done. She rolled her eyes at me.Even though I drove so far and desperately needed this for a week later I left. The customer service leaves much to be desired.I did find a Jovani dress from a boutique over the phone that next day aired it to me. I am very thankful for the boutiques customer service.
I highly recommend going here to get the perfect prom dress. This store has lovely service who seriously care about the absolutely perfect dress. The service is very honest and will not recommend a bad fit, size or color. They will make sure you have the best dress possible even if they have to order it if it is in the wrong size. The dresses are all one of a kind and absolutely stunning and the experience has been the best.
Excellent experience! We went on a Friday evening looking for the perfect prom dress. We received wonderful service! Anna is amazing! She is incredibly knowledgeable of dresses; styles, designers, etc. Love the atmosphere! My daughter was able to select 5 dresses at a time. She went to dressing room, where an attendant helped. Girls come out and model.. runway style; parents are seated in chairs as girls model. Even my husband enjoyed seeing her as she modeled 9 different dresses! They have the largest selection of dresses I have ever seen! They have something for everyone! It is located in the mall on the second floor. If you go on a weekend, you may have a different experience, because it will be much more crowded, and you will most likely have to wait. We were there 2 hours, and the time flew by! There was no waiting time! We left with a beautiful dress that our daughter is thrilled with. Could not have asked for a better experience!!
I was in there this past weekend with my two daughters to try on prom dresses. Everything was well organized, all the employees were friendly and they were plenty of them, and wait time for the dressing rooms we’re not that long! Both of my girls worked with McKenzie in the dressing rooms and she was wonderful! She was friendly and encouraging and even came out to talk to me about which dresses she loved! McKenzie made prom dress shopping a breeze! Thank you McKenzie for all you did!
Great experience 😍 the lady that worked there was very helpful!
I took my 16 year old daughter there about 3 weeks ago looking for a prom dress.... she was prepared to try on dresses all day. The third dress was it! Absolutely gorgeous !.. The lady that helped her with the dress was super and the owner was the one who actually recommended the dress for her body type. We had a fantastic experience and will definitely go back🤗
Overall the workers was nice & helpful BUT the older lady was rude when we first walked in. She judged us based on age & race. Asked us how old were me & my sister. She & told me that she couldn’t try on dresses over $450. Failed to realize i have money to buy if we didn’t we wouldn’t come in here. Then she was persistent on helping us when we didn’t want her help. The other girls were nice & helpful.
My daughter and I found her beautiful, dream prom dress last weekend at Chique Prom after looking at numerous other shops. They have an amazing selection of dresses and even though it was a Sunday, we had the best experience. I know other reviewers complain about the process of dress selection and try on, but we found it very organized. All the sales staff were great to work with, including the older woman that others have complained about. She knows her craft and was a great help. I think that you have to go in with the mindset that this is going to be a process that will take some time. Everyone in the shop is hoping to find a dress as well, and there will be some time spent waiting. It is a special time for everyone there, all the girls are special and must follow the same process as everyone else. You will not find a collection of dresses like this anywhere else. Slow down and enjoy the process - you will walk out with a very happy daughter and her dream dress, which is the ultimate goal.
My daughter and I visited this store to find a homecoming dress. The attendant at the store spent quite a bit of time with us discussing dresses, but she failed to inform us that their policy is NO RETURNS!!!The store did not have my daughters size in the styles she liked (she is quite tall), so the attendant recommended that we order online. We did and bought a FULL PRICE dress ($188). When the dress came, it did not fit right. I searched the website for information about returns and found nothing. I called the store and the same attendant answered the phone. She remembered my daughter and told me that the policy of the store is that ALL SALES ARE FINAL. When I argued that she had failed to inform me of this when she suggested that we buy online, she told me that she couldnt remember to tell her customers everything. She was quite unhelpful and had no concern for people who are returning a brand new, in the package, totally unused dress straight from their company. She informed me that I have to suck up my $188 purchase and keep a dress that no one will ever use. There are so many places to shop from these days, and none refuse refunds for full price items that are returned immediately without use.BE WARNED AND DO NOT SHOP HERE
I am highly disappointed with the costumer service, very rude, nosy and the rumors are true. Please save your trip.
I’m not sure why Chique Prom only has three stars. My daughter and I had a great experience. They had a ton of people working and everyone was super helpful. They had a huge selection of all the popular brands. You can look on their website to see the sizes and colors they have in stock. We will definitely be back next year.
This has been our familys go-to-prom shopping store for 3 years! 2020 is the last prom for my last daughter. Having 3 girls, proms have been a joy the past few years and I will miss this time of life!We have always had great customer service from each person we have ever come in contact with. Love the organization of the dresses and how each girl gets to display their dresses on for the crowd. The rules of the dressing room also help keep things flowing, so each girl has time to try on a few dresses, then switch to allow other girls time to try on a few. I call it, their time to shine. Also helps from dresses being damaged or thrown around.I absolutely love the older lady, though I much rather call her the more, mature lady! Her NY accent may come off harsh to some southern folks, but she has a heart of gold and very sophisticated when it comes to style and grace! Thanks for the past 3 years! Yesterday was bittersweet choosing the last prom dress for my babygirl!
Fell upon Chique Prom after already spending several hours searching for a Prom Dress with my daughter. As soon as we entered the store, we were greeted by the staff and informed as to how the store works. Entire process from start to purchase was fantastic!! Staff was friendly and extremely helpful and kind. We will be recommending this business to family and friends.
Huge selection of dresses with a lot of designer dresses, colors and styles. All staff were very helpful. Loved the way the dresses were organized by color and size. I would definitely shop for my daughters prom dress here again. The older lady was very helpful and explained how dresses were organized.
The old woman that works there is extremely rude. Been in multiple times just to look around have received nothing but attitude from her. When I went in to try on a few to get a feel of what I’d like, she told me “We don’t do dress up here.” The whole time I was talking to her she sat on her phone and never made eye contact with me. Won’t be going back and will not be recommending this shop to anyone.
The workers there are extremely rude. All the reviews about the older lady were correct. I experienced the same exact thing, the reviews did. I went in with my friend to look for my senior prom dress. I asked a random girl if we just picked a random number and she told me, “Go and get one because they’ll switch numbers if you aren’t paying attention.” I went to where the numbers were and I asked a younger employee if I picked a random number and she looked at me and then went back to what she was doing. I went to the front desk to ask for number and the older lady told me you don’t get to choose random numbers and then asked me how old I was. I told her I was 19 and she then suddenly looked me up and down and said: “I need I.D.” I showed her my I.D and then went to another customer, completely ignoring me and my friend for 5 minutes. We felt so out of place and uncomfortable. We left the store without trying on any dresses due to how rude the employees are. Don’t bother trying to try on dresses here.
Wouldn’t recommend it, bad service and the ladies there are so rude, can’t even help the customers right
Have bought two prom dresses from here. Comparatively, the prices were reasonable. My daughter and I live in Garner and searched from Greensboro to Myrtle Beach and every where in between and online. They have some wonderful associates, kind, not pushy. I like the runway format for trying on dresses. They have a huge selection of dresses, styles, colors and designers. Also, of youre looking for variety in sizes, this place is amazing. I was happy to see a large selection of gowns from size 00 to 20 as I walked around. I would recommend adding this place to your prom shopping stops.
There staff is often rude, they’re not attentive and their purchasing policies are predatory. It it much much much better to shop at David’s bridal and their return and refund policy is better. Here if you want a dress you have to put a down payment on it and pay on it if you want to change dresses you lose everything you’ve already paid and do. Not. Get. The. Dress. I.e. you pay $150 and the dress no longer fits you lose your money and can’t apply it to something else.On top of this I just received a call from a lady at the store and she hung up on me. She called me. And then hung up on me.
I highly recommend this establishment as a go to place for your dressing needs! The young lady who helped me was well mannered and helpful! It was a very satisfying experience.
Before going to the prom dress store I called and asked if they had a discount section only to be told right now and that it was small so then I went and I looked in the discount section and she told me I can’t try that on in the normal dressing room so then I sat there and waited for her to tell me where to try it on only for her to not answer for 10 minutes then I finally get taken to the back where I’m taken to a back room filled with boxes like a little storage room and then I go behind a curtain with no mirrors or anything and get no assistance and they were all rude. They made me feel like I was worthless to them just because I didn’t want to buy an $800 dress.
I have a fundraising gala I attend every year, I went to this store on Saturday morning with the sole purpose of purchasing a dress. This woman who runs this store is the rudest individual I have ever met in my entire life! I wouldnt spend a dime in this store. I have no idea who owns this store but I hope they are aware of how much money is walking out if it due to this woman!
Terrible experience I do not recommend this store at all! I went in with a friend looking to find a dress for our senior prom and immediately the old lady said if you aren’t 18 you can’t be looking at certain dresses like what even but my friend and I were and I had to show her my I.D. The young girls were extremely sweet and helpful throughout the whole process but the older lady was not she kept judging me and didn’t want me to try a dress that I had picked because it was $800 but I saved up my money for a whole year so I could purchase whatever dress I wanted. . This place has terrible customer service and the lady won’t even let you zip up your own dress she has to be there and it made me very uncomfortable at how rough she was especially when she unzipped and untied the first dress I tried on.All in all I didn’t even try on the dress because she really did ruin my experience I quickly got out of there and went home very disappointed
There are a lot of negative reviews about this place but I loved it! When you come in someone will greet you and explain that you get 5 dresses to try on at a time. There are multiple girls walking around on the floor who will take your dresses to the back. They will call your number and you get to try on. The girls are super helpful and nice! The only downside is if you want to keep shopping because you didn’t find the dress you want, you have to get back into the line and that can be time consuming but overall great experience!
I had a lovely experience. Everyone was incredibly helpful and observative. The dresses were beautiful and the gentleman working there quickly helped me in the right direction. The other ladies there helped me to get in and out of the dresses and helped give suggestions on what was best for me. Probably one of the most positive dress buying experiences I’ve ever had. I would definitely buy more dresses from here.
Great experience! We drove an hour and a half & couldn’t be happier! My daughter & her friends all found dresses. The selection is awesome & customer service couldn’t be better! They were very helpful and went above & beyond what they had to do to help my daughter find the perfect dress! We will definitely be back & it was well worth the trip!
Beautiful dresses but VERY rude workers. The old woman was the one that helped me and my 2 other friends and she was very rude to us. She didn’t want me to try on a long dress just because she thought it wasn’t a dress for homecoming. She had such a rude opinion about everything and made us feel very self conscious. She made what should be an enjoyable experience a NIGHTMARE!!! Don’t recommend...
This was the most disappointing and absolutely disgusting shopping experience that I have ever had. From the moment I stepped in the door, I was judged the associates. The woman guarding the door looked me up and down, and in the most derogatory tone I have ever heard, said My size 8s are on the back wall. Now, while I understand that she was intending to direct me to what she thought was my size, I was rendered extremely uncomfortable before I had even started to shop. In the past, I have worn dresses anywhere from size 0-4, but never an 8. After selecting 3 dresses to try on, I waited 20 minutes to be let into a dressing room. When I tried on the first size 8 dress, a two piece gown, I was swimming in it. It was clearly too large in every aspect, so I asked to be shown another size. I was then told that I would have to exit the dressing room and re-wait for a spot to try on a gown if I were to change the size of the dress, even though I had selected the size recommended to me by an associate. Upon closer inspection, every gown that I tried on had some type of makeup stain, sweat mark, or damaged zipper/button. At one point, the owner (who was fortunately not the woman in the front of the store), walked in to the dressing rooms and realized that none of her associates were in the back helping the girls zip up our dresses. She immediately accused the 10 customers in the dressing room of being rude to her associates, and explained that this was the only possible reason that they were not back there to help us. All in all, if you are looking to purchase a $500-700 gown that at least 40 other girls have tried on, sweated in, left makeup stains on, and damaged from a store with unbelievably dreadful customer service, this is your place. Otherwise, please do not waste your time.
Above and Beyond with customer service!!! So helpful and wouldn’t stop until my daughter found the perfect dress!!! I will recommended them to everyone. Best shopping experience ever!!! They register your dress so that no one else will wear the same dress to your prom!! From their store that at least!!! Great people!!!
Younger woman was nice, however there was an older woman working the dressing room who was very rude. And I mean rude. Normally I look at these reviews and think “Yea they probably did something to deserve it”. This was definitely not the case and she made what is supposed to be a memorable experience, extremely uncomfortable. They acted like they didn’t want us there. We will not go back.
Old lady working the dressing room was extremely rude and wouldn’t even let my mom zip up my own dress. She looked like Roz from monsters inc. Ruined me and my friends experience as well as the other customers in the store. Will not be going back.
I wont ever go into this store again, if the older lady is working. She insisted on helping us, even after we replied no thank you and after we told her that we were just looking. She suggested that we only look at one size, despite our experience of realizing that dress sizes vary by designer and style. She took a dress from our hands that we were considering, saying that she would have to take it to the dressing room. She handed us a #6 tag and told us to choose 4 more dresses (after she saw the second one in our hands). She insisted that my daughter leave the dressing room to show me the dresses - against my daughters wishes. (Moms arent allowed in the dressing rooms and have to sit in the rows of chairs outside of the dressing room, so I couldnt prevent this situation from happening.) Although both of our dress selections in our selected sizes fit, we left very disappointed and will not return again.
We went to Chique prom today after going to many other places and had a great experience! They had a large variety of dresses in ALL sizes. Also had very reasonable prices. We had a sales associate named Anna who went out of her way to help us from trying on dresses to paying for the dress.
Very rude lady... if I would have found something in this store I wouldn’t have purchased it because of the rude sales lady! Definitely not going back in this store
Great service and beautiful selection. The employees went out of their way to help me find a gorgeous gown.Thank you
I had been to a few stores in my area, and this one by far had the most selection and I was happy with every dress I tried on. The workers were kind and able to answer any questions and even offered to put my dress on lay-a-way. I will absolutely be coming again next year
The owner was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, She made my experience great. The workers were all so sweet. I found an amazing dress, so beautiful and unique. Im super glad I decided to come here.
The best selection of formal wear in the state! If you are looking for a prom dress, they can also tell you if someone at your school already purchased the same dress! Knowledgeable and friendly services! Love this place!
I went here for my junior and senior prom and absolutely loved it! Chique prom has a wide selection of types of dresses and colors that can satisfy about every one. I recommended this place to my friends as well.
We will not being going here ever again. i have heard many things about how this store was not good, but i wanted to try it out for myself. they had somewhat of a variety but not in my size I guess my size is a popular size. one of the workers was very rude to me as well as other people that were in the store. not only are they rude, most of them sit on their phones the whole time and do not help other people. also in the dressing rooms no one is allowed back there other than the shopper. no family members, mothers, etc nothing. it was very odd because the shopper has to get dressed and zipped up by the workers and then walk out in front of the people you are shopping with as well as 20 other families. pretty much a cheap version of say yes to the dress mixed with a runway. therefore i wouldnt waste my time on this store. lexs of carytown is way better and they have an extremely nice and helpful staff.
The older lady was VERY rude to my sons aunt and I and completely ruined her dress shopping experience. We drove 2 hours to visit a store with a large selection of dresses only to be told by someone that her skin was too dark for her selection of color which was absolutely not okay. The older lady couldn’t except the fact that not all people want a complete stranger zipping their dress and came demanding that I get out of the dressing room because her girls could handle it. This was not a pleasant experience at all ! She needs an attitude arrangement.
I hated this place! The two older ladies there were very disgusting and very rude. Truly my worst experience at a store! Don’t go there and trust on people’s reviews.
Not only are the workers rude and disrespectful, they socialize with one another and are on their phones making the customers get the dresses out and get them on by themselves or walk out into the open half naked for one to zip you in.They only allow the girl back there, no parents or siblings. I did not even want to try on all the dresses because of how bad the customer service was.If I could give this 0 out of 5, I would.
I went prom shopping with my granddaughter and we picked out a couple of dresses. They would not let me back there with her yet they were so rude and didn’t help my granddaughter with her dress. They called my granddaughter fat and she’s a size 1. Never again will I go back. I left with my granddaughter in tears. I recommend going to David’s bridal, better prices and very nice customer service!!
I walked in, and an elderly lady who worked there approached my sister. “ If you’re under 18, don’t look at anything you can’t afford.” We were looking for dresses, and she would stand next to us looking. I could not enjoy my visit. Nice dresses, horrible customer service !
Wonderful service. The sales lady took a lot of time with me. Gave me great advice and helped me find the perfect dress.
The girls are completely the sweetest and the dresses are amazing!!! But, the manager is so rude and made everybody and everything a mess. She is so over bearing and even tried to tell me that a dress i wanted to try on, that i knew was my size, would not fit. Very irritating and almost ruined the whole experience.
There are quality dress and lots of them; however, they don’t have sizes in all the dresses, the shop is a little overwhelming, and there is a five dress limite that you can take back. The wait is long to get a fitting room and you’re party cannot go back with you/there are no mirrors in the dressing rooms. They also zip you up and unzip you (which made me feel a little weird, but I understand why they do it). If you are comfortable with walking out in front of other people and you’re ok with waiting, this place would be great, but if not I wouldn’t recommend it.
No returns. Saturday a disaster. Give yourself at least 4 hours in the store. Here’s how it works. Pick 5 dresses. Get a number wait 1-1.5 hours to try on dress. Opps wrong size too bad. No they will not let you exchange for correct sizes or different dress. You will have to leave the dressing room. Pick 5 more dresses get a number and wait for 1-1.5 hours. Poor customer service. We picked a dress and the clerk took off with it and threw it back on the rack. No interest in helping you get a beautiful and perfect dress for a landmark day. Just want to force you into a quick decision and get you out the door. My daughter was in tears because we had to go to get to a prior committment. On positive side - great selection but if you never get to try them on who cares/selection becomes useless.
DONT GO TO THIS PLACE THEY DONT VALUE PEOPLE HARD EARNED MONEY THEY DINT GIVE REFUNDS OR EXCHANGE THEY ARE RUDE ABD DISRESPECTFUL TO CUSTOMER I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS
I feel compelled to submit another review after seeing the amount of five star ratings. shopping at chique prom was a stressful, discouraging, and over all irritating way to spend my time. The staff was borderline mean, they ignored me, were inconsistent on rules, zero help in dressing room (which I didn’t even make it into because the disrespectful employee could not manage the dressing room in any organized way) . I left this store frustrated to the point of tears. I suggest going elsewhere if your looking for a fun and relaxing prom dress shopping experience.
Great selection of beautiful dresses and the service was exceptional. Highly recommend them! T. Tran
I’m a mother of three daughters and this was my sixth prom dress shopping experience, never have I encountered such a poorly managed store. They do not have mirrors in the dressing rooms or outside the dressing room for you to view the dress. Mirrors are located in the store, but you have to parade in front of the large groups of people (~25-30) waiting to use the dressing rooms, and a seating area all facing the mirrors, very odd. I was not allowed to go back with my daughter and she did not want to stand in front of everyone so I did not get to see any of the dresses she tried on, and neither could she. This is definitely not a place for anyone that is shy or in the least modest. As My daughter and I watched girls coming out I could hear others ridiculing and criticizing them. It was obvious many were embarrassed and humiliated. In an era where bullying and demoralizing is being challenged I can’t believe this place exists!
I went in this past Sat to look for a non traditional wedding dress for my wedding next year. I am almost 40 years old and did not appreciate the curtness of the sales woman. I am considered a plus size woman and picked out a size 20 dress. Before she could even zip it up she says Its way too small yet the dress was hanging off my shoulders. I am curvy and the bottom portion of the dress was snug but not terrible. As I exited the dressing room the woman said and oh...you are a size 22 in such a manner that if I werent confident I would have broken down in tears. Very rude saleswoman. Shopping as a curvy girl is hard enough...dont waste your time or money.
Poor service and refuses paying customers because you have to be 26 to buy a dress?
Beautiful dresses but rude staff & employees! Never spend my money at this store. All the negative reviews are correct!!
The consultant (Caucasian male)at Triangle Town Center on 4/5/18 was very rude and not helpful at all... The policy stated in front of the store that you have to be 18 to try on dresses with mom or dad for any dress over $450 ( I took a picture as proof). The dress my daughter tried on was $189 and she is over 18 I had to go back with her to try it on! I wouldn’t advise anyone to shop at this store due to the treatment of African American customers (with money to spend)! I also asked if she could come back to try on dresses by herself and he stated as long as she has a credit card and the proper ID! Racist and rude! The other non-black customers were not being treated this way!
The older staff members were EXTREMELY rude and I was racially profiled as a thief for trying on a dress...in a dress store! Save your time and money
Such a bad experience. We drove 1 1/2 hours to visit this store. You pick 5 dresses, try those on, get dressed, and start over picking the next 5. No mirrors in dressing rooms, associate standing around socializing instead of helping girls get zipped up, and then the girls have to come out on parade in front of everyone to see themselves in a mirror. Our number was also skipped over so girls who came in 20 minutes or more after us were trying on before us. Never again!
Wonderful service and a large selection of beautiful dresses to choose from. The staff was attentive and friendly.
Nice dresses. However, saw several that were at Davids Bridal for about 1/3 the price.
Awesome experience. My daughter love her beautiful dress. Thank you so much!!!
Lot of nice formal dresses. Kind of pricey. Staff was very helpful.
Top notch the best dresses here. Bought here 2 years in a row
The lady the day the dress was bought was nice to my daughter but rude to me and my sister. We bought the dress and it is beautiful. But prom got cancelled at our school and I ask if I could bring back the answer was nope your dress. Then implied I was not telling the truth when I said I would be happy to get a letter from school. I would be ok wit a credit for next year not even my money back. But because no help. I will buy from elsewhere next year and will tell everybody I know. They have the name of school and date of prom so they should now I am telling the truth. But its ok karma will get them.
I have purchased several dresses from prom chique and have always had a wonderful experience! This year Deloris & William went above and beyond for my daughter! We purchased a beautiful Sherri Hill dress, I took the dress to get alterations and the Tailors spilled coffee on the dress! I took the dress to prom chique thinking it was ruined, but they got the very large stain out! I am very thankful for the beautiful dresses & amazing customer service at prom chique!
Beautiful dresses; so many choices but the staff is very knowledgeable and helpful!
Selection was good, but daughter didnt find what we were looking for
Whats not to love beautiful exotic gowns
Before ever coming in I called to make sure the dress I wanted to get was in stock, they said they did have it. Fast forward a couple hours to when I had arrived and as soon as I walked in, no one greeted me which normally isn’t a big deal to me. I start to browse through the dresses because I hadn’t seen anyone yet and all the sudden an older lady comes up to me and I inform her that I called earlier and was looking for a specific dress. I give her the style number and she pulls the wrong dress and after I tell her that isn’t the one, she gets upset and goes to grab her iPad to look it up. She looks it up and informs me that they do have it but it’s IN THE WAREHOUSE, so they didn’t even have it IN THE STORE. I wouldn’t have mind that they misinformed me but after that the old lady was rude the entire time I was in her store. I don’t know if she owns this store but she should really be a little nicer to the customers. If I could give my experience a FAT 0 then I would.
Found a beautiful dress that I loved at this store and the staff was very friendly and helpful!
In this store, there are no mirrors in the dressing rooms. Not even 1 guest is allowed with the shopper in the dressing room. Ladies have to come out into the store in front of EVERYONE in a dress in order to look in a mirror and show those with them. This is a violation of privacy. Spoke with the manager and she was extremely rude saying she didnt have the space to do that. Ok, then you also dont have my business.
Very Wonderful people. Very helpful and great customer service.
DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY GOING HERE!! My daughter was told to come back tomorrow to try on a dress due to them closing in 45mins. We live 2hrs away and were ready to buy any dress my daughter picked, regardless of price!! I happen to find wearing jeans and T-shirt/hoodie quite comfortable to shop in, however the Older Woman working there immediately started judging me as if to say we dont have enough money to buy any dress in the store. She continued to belittle me and my daughter by showing us the price tag to us first before pulling a dress off the rack. I was absolutely flabbergasted when i saw a bootleg, ghetto, sharpie made, sign in the front of the store to be equally offensive and disturbing as the Old Lady working there! It stated If not 18 yrs or older, you must be accompanied by a PAYING Parent in order to try dresses on!! This store needs to attend a etiquette class asap on how to be more classy, not trashywhen it comes to customer services!
Simply RUDE AND RACIST!... I will never spend $1 at this dam store. The owner/ worker what ever she is, thinks that others do not have the money to buy there simply because of the color of their skin or because of how they talk or dress. YES lady Im hispanic (puerto rican ) to be exact and I work and have my own busniess just like u do, but will never spend a dime I make at your expensive for no good reason store! There is a reason this store is forever empty!
This is the second time we have shopped at Chique Prom and both times have been wonderful experiences! The most recent time was for homecoming and Anna was so helpful in picking out dresses that looked great on my daughter. We have thoroughly enjoyed our experiences and will be back for Prom season! Please note that they have some policies in place that are to protect themselves and the customers. They dont allow girls to come in and try on dresses if they do not have someone 19 or older with them that can pay. A lot of girls get upset at this policy, but if you step back and think about it...you are generally spending a couple of hundred dollars on a dress...do you want a whole bunch of people trying on your dress for the fun of it? It puts a lot of wear and tear on dresses and then if it is the one you want to purchase; it may not look top notch if it has been abused and had make-up on it from all of the different girls trying it on for fun.If this were a wedding dress boutique; people would follow these same policies without an issue!
I asked for help 2 seperates times. Although the attendees said she would come help me she never did. When I asked for a second time, she was reluctant to help. I asked to be measured, and never was. I asked if dresses were available in other sizes, she didnt know. I walked out saying nevermind, after being disappointed in the customer service I was receiving. I understand it is prom season, since there were alot of high school kids running around being attended to like their money counts. I can say that as a grown woman with my own money to spend, I will never spend a single cent here. Thank you for not serving me, and for letting me know that my money isnt good enough for your snooty store.
Great service, helped my daughter two years in a row, very big selection.
The service and friendliness here is not what I expected. The employees seemed like they hated their jobs and made several rude unecessary comments toward me and other customers. The selection here is great and the organization makes it easy to find everything, however the service here made the experience unbearable. I honestly felt unwanted and wanted to leave as quick as possible.
The owner on this place was kind of rude but the co workers were extremely sweet and helped with everything. Sizes run smaller than davids bridal and are a little pricey but if you are looking for a descent selection of you are averaged sized go for it.
Too dam HIGH! Smart mouth little lady that looks like Ms. Garrett from Facts of Life
We love this place. We tell our family and friends about it!
Terrible customer service, so rude. Dont waste your time.
Unorganized, rude staff “older lady”, not very welcoming, and management is so rude and disrespectful to their employees.
Just go to Davids Bridal and ask for Mike. It will save you time. I will NEVER go here again.
