What purpose does a bookstore serve if you cannot aquire books for your classes? And why would you recommend I go to main campus to check their location when you can clearly see their inventory is also devoid of all the books needed. Instead, they try to lead you into an extremely expensive program that allows digital book rental (which only grants you access for a certain window of time), Unlike an actual book which I will have to forever reference back to in a tangible, meaningful manner. Well, maybe it will allow access to your additional required books from other classes, but probably not. No thank you. I will take my money to an online retailer.

I called earlier today to inquire about a biology book. I was told they had it but when I got there it was only the connect online access code. I wanted a book book! I was very disappointed.

Very unhelpful with returns! When buying multiple online access code make sure to get Cengage Unlimited. Otherwise, the bookstore will try to cheat you by making you buy their more expensive book. Better yet just buy your book from Amazon or directly from Cengage. I promise that you will be better off.

I love the way this independent book store fosters a sense of community and brings out authors to Raleigh. Its too bad that the place looks worn and outdated. I have to admit, I like being able to buy a coffee and snacks at the chain bookstores. However, I will support this store too.

Isnt the bookstore here FOR the students? Would the bookstore even be here if it werent FOR the students?? Well, youd be wrong if you answered yes to either or both questions. They offered $20 on a book Amazon is offering over $40. And $6, yes $6 on a book that cost over $140, granted its loose leaf with no damage of any kind(kept in a binder the entire time). The barcode for the loose leaf was on the plastic wrap, which I did not keep. When they went to grab one off the shelf, I asked to take a picture of the barcode so I could search online to sell it back. He covered the barcode with his finger and said our bosses do not allow pictures of barcodes. The bookstore just as purchasing and renting books is a HUGE scam. By contrast, the bookstore at Coastal Carolina Comm College is open, inviting AND has ALL the books on shelves for students to LOOK AT, HOLD, TAKE PICTURES OF, whatever they want while deciding if they want to buy. So, let me confirm, I cant take a picture of a barcode from a book that I purchased from your 2nd rate pathetic bookstore?? As a tax payer of Wake Co, I am embarrassed that this bookstore is here for students. I know loans are needed to buy books and some students have NO CHOICE but to use this 2nd rate pathetic bookstore, but if its at all possible, buy or rent your books online!

They are nice but the books are overpriced and staff doesn’t work with you on returns. Savings aren’t that great. Will charge you for new books unless you specify 🙄
