Really great selection and kind owners

The owner, Raj, has been running this business for well over 20 years. Maybe close to 30. Great prices and polite service. Raj always knows exactly what I need. Ive been a weekly customer for several years. I go there for American spirits and Larrys Nitro Brew 12 oz cans (which he sells for better price than most places) he also has Larrys Beans hot coffee. Very refreshing as convenience stores or gas stations always have terrible coffee, Raj has the good organic fair trade coffee for excellent price. I dont drink alcohol but for those who do, you can get Kegs at College Beverage. Raj is the man and his family (who also work there) are also great with customers.

At first my spouse and I loved this place and would go here for all of our drinking needs. Then we had two instances where they charged us an outrageous amount for beer in what seemed to be a tricky way. The first time it was $18 for a tall boy. The second time it was $28 for a 4 pack of beer that is listed at being worth about $10 at your local Harris Teeter. The second time was the last straw for us. In both instances the cashier mumbled the price so my husband couldnt hear (so he assumed it was a normal beer price), no receipt was offered, and it was until later when we reviewed our account that we noticed the charge. The first time we chalked it up to our mistake or just a pricier beer, but the second time we knew we were bamboozled. Obviously we should have been more careful with paying attention to the price and getting a receipt, but even so - its dishonest and not a company we care to support any longer.

This place has changed hands over the last few months and you can really tell it! It’s cleaner, they have all the staple items you would need in a college town. The owner is friendly, and if he doesn’t have exactly what you want he will make sure he gets it for the next time.

I’ve been a short-time costumer of this store for a little bit until today, went in and bought a vape that I normally get from this store, and it didn’t work. Not a problem though, because most stores will just give you a fresh one especially for a 9$ vape. So I went back in later, and kindly told him that it wasn’t working and requested a new one or at least get my money back. He refused to do anything and was rather rude about it. Lesson Learned: don’t buy Vapes from this store, and save yourself some money!

Excellent selection of local and non local craft beers. Even though the owner doesnt consume alcohol like a previous person posted, he knows excellent beer. If youre shopping for a keg this is the place to go!

Pretty much the worst place in the world to order kegs of anything but Bud, Bud Lite, Miller Lite and Coors (of which they seemed to have plenty in the cooler).We ordered a few kegs for a party and two of the them (even though we confirmed multiple times) were not in stock and the owner (who said he didnt drink alchohol) wanted to substitute AB brands for craft beer brands like they were synonymous and my party guests wouldnt notice the difference . . .Caveat Emptor.....

Great selection of beer and kegs, but ask for itemized receipt when you buy. My buddies and I have all been ripped off, and they don’t give you itemized without asking.

This place is walking distance from my house so me and my room mates go in all the time. Weve ordered kegs from here before and frequent it for beer and snacks regularly, never had a problem.

Came there 2 times, one in the morning at 10.15am and afternoon at 4.30pm. Both time closed. Why advertise that the store is open if it is alway closed!
