My wife and I just came by for the first time today. Was needing a quality coffee grinder and found this place locally. I called to see if they had what I was looking for and THEY DID. Not very many stores stock this particular piece of equipment. They even held it at the counter for me to get there. The staff was very helpful and very friendly. Loved my visit and we will be back.

I think they could be nicer about asking for someone who wants to shop in your store about a mask. Really not good customer service at all.

Staff was great, but Im guessing Corporate is a nightmare. A friend and I signed up for the British Baking Class. I went in with hopes of The Great British Baking Shoe and some scrummy baked goods. For the class we made Lemon sponge Cake, scones, and rose tea cookies. The recipes used had never been tested or baked by the on-site staff, but they were told by corporate to use them. The scones (through no fault of our own) did not rise, but turned to cake, the rose tea cookies also did not rise or properly bake, even so, they tasted like soap. The lemon sponge Cake turned out delicious. And our Chef was so kind and really gave excellent instructions and tips despite working with terrible recipes. She gave us a plain scone recipe that she personally loves to make up for the terrible ones in class. However, if I am paying 50 dollars (discounted from 75.00 online) for a baking class...I expect the recipes to be tried and true. These recipes were untested by the staff at the store and corporate, as all stores were having the same issues with baking. Im disappointed by my experience. Another issue was the recipes had ingredients that were available in Britain, but not in the US...dissappointed all around. The plus side was the staff was super kind, helpful, and really kept the kitchen clean while we were making the mess.

I placed a fairly large order of Scan Pans sets back in November and have had difficulty getting my order. I went into the Raleigh store on Monday to purchase a few items, I mentioned my issue with the online order to Trish the Manger, and she got on the phone immediately. She worked with several people, for almost an hour to figure out the status of my shipment, then finally was able to get them to place a new order for my items. The items arrived Saturday. Thanks you Trish for your time and amazing customer service!!!

Recently had a fantastic time taking a cooking course with my partner and in-laws; Chef Darryl made the experience extremely enjoyable and fun. He is by far one of the best Chef instructors I have met. The staff at this location were also extremely helpful and excited to have you in their store. I look forward to taking more cooking courses, and especially, if Chef Darryl is teaching the class!

Store has a nice layout. We drove 25 miles to make a purchase their website showed in stock. When we arrived found out they have not had it in a month. They didnt seem apologetic at all, just said they might get it back in a couple of weeks if were lucky. Our first AND last visit to this location.

I love this store! I generally get good service here and they have a huge selection of kitchen items and coffee makers and chocolate. They have cooking classes that you can take. They are a Nespresso dealer so you are able to bring you capsules here to recycle and look at the machine.

The staff (Jeffrey and whichever female was working with him Oct 28th at 4:02pm) did not treat me well; so much so that I ended up returning over 200.00 in merchandise an hour later because I was so upset. Everyone in the store was greeted upon entering and asked if they wanted a cappuccino. I was never extended that offering. The lady working started talking to another couple of women whod walked in and asked them if they wanted a cappuccino...still didnt ask me. I ended up making my purchase of a Le Creuset Dutch oven, despite being treated poorly. I got home and was so upset at how I was treated that I decided to return the Le Creuset item. The next group of people (a very nice young man with blonde hair and Patricia) helped me with my return. I will not be shopping here again. Customer service like this is why people are shopping online or through Amazon. Just because I looked poor doesnt mean I am poor and I had a lot of money to spend (Pretty Woman, anyone?) Big mistake.

My Son was looking for a nice set of Knifes to get his culinary career started. We walked in, staff was very friendly and very knowledgeable. We told them we had a limited budget and they worked with it. They never tried to up sell us. The Chef spent time with Paul, talking about different schools and what kitchen jobs to get while in school.. We walked out very satisfied.

An interesting experience taking a class here, and something I would recommend everyone try at least once. However, I didnt like the overall experience due to the gap in cooking experience among the class. None of the class seemed to keep together throughout the cooking process, and the staff beyond the main instructor were not near as helpful.

I suppose the shop is nice enough, but they have some things to learn about customer service.First, the price quoted over the phone was $10 less than the price once I arrived at the store. And they didnt budge on it.Second, their credit card system is incapable of reading chipped cards via the chip, and they are NOT ALLOWED to enter credit card numbers manually. Honestly, in this day and age, I find this ridiculous. It would seem to me that you make it absolutely as easy as possible for people to purchase from you, rather than encouraging them to go online and perhaps shop elsewhere, which is what Ill do next time.Lesson learned.

The North Hills Sur La Table is a lovely little store with many beautiful things that I cannot afford -- that said, its actually a great stop for specialty cooking accessories, which are usually priced around the same online. Staff here are very friendly and helpful.
